Pdf documenttitle in subjectbox in Mail

Hello,
In earlier versions of Acrobat, If you send your pdf by mail, the pdf filename appeared in de subject box of Mail. After an update this was no longer available. Is it still possible to do that?
I hope you understand my question. I am not a native english speaker.

Okay I don't have a Problem with the Language.
Why? could not have taken much code to provide it. It saved a lot of time and aggravation.

  • Adding a forwarding link to send a pdf file to another e-mail address

I would like to add a forwarding link to a pdf document that is available for download from my iWeb site. I would like someone to be able to forward the pdf file to another e-mail address. Can I do this in iWeb? If so, how?

Isn't that decision rather made by the person who downloads the pdf.
What if he doesn't forward the pdf and keeps it to himself?

  • Difficulty cross-referencing PDF created from MS Word Mail Merge

    Hello!
I'm using MS Word Mail Merge to create PDF documents with Adobe Acrobat 9 (Merge to Adobe PDF ribbon). Adobe allows me to specify the file name to use, which Adobe uses for the first portion of the file name, but the remaining is up to Adobe and varies depending on the total number of documents.
The help shows as: "The PDF will be named using this text plus a series of numbers. For example, if you type JulyLetter in the Specify PDF File Name box, the mail-merged PDFs might appear as JulyLetter_0000123, JulyLetter_0000124, July Letter_0000125, and so forth."
If the numbering was sequential, there wouldn't be a problem. However, if the number of records exceeds 50 documents, the convention changes at intervals of 50 and it makes it difficult to cross-reference without opening the document.
As an example, if there are a total of 67 documents, you get the following results:
Record 15 is named JulyLetter_15015.pdf. (meaning range 1-50, record 15)
Record 20 is named JulyLetter_15020.pdf (meaning range 1-50, record 20)
Record 56 is named JulyLetter_51676.pdf (meaning range 51-67, record 6)
Record 66 is named JulyLetter_516716.pdf (meaning range 51-67, record 16)
The breaks are at intervals of 50 records, meaning that if there were 230 records to print, record 143 would be JulyLetter_10115043.pdf, record 180 would be JulyLetter_15120030.pdf.
Does anyone know where the naming or breaks are controlled within Adobe to just keep it sequential or if there is possibly a cross reference file created that may assist with cataloging?
    Thanks

In each of the successive versions of Acrobat to the version you have, improvements have been made in converting a PDF to Word format. Acrobat X and the version about to come out, Acrobat XI, do the best job. I can't guarantee that the results would be an improvement in your case, but I have a hunch they would.

  • How do I save the text I have typed in a PDF file in Adobe, then mail it.

How do I save text that I have typed in a PDF file in adobe and then mail it
    Currently goes through without text

You don't have to do anything special to save text you type as an annotation or in a form. What's probably confusing you is that if you view the PDF within iOS apps like Mail, it appears the text you typed disappeared. However, when you view the PDF file in Acrobat or Reader on Mac, Windows or other platform, the text is there. (It's a limitation of the native iOS PDF viewers.)
If you've updated to the newest version of Reader, you should also get a dialog offering the choice between "Share Original Document" and "Share Flattened Copy". The dialog explains the difference between the options.

  • TS3276 When I try to attach a pdf file to an e-mail the pdf is opened in the e-mail, replacing the text. How do I attach it as a file?

When I try to attach a pdf file to an e-mail it opens and is pasted into the e-mail. How do I attach it as a file?

It is an attachment, it is the way Apple Mail program displays it. When you add the attachment by either using the attach clip or drag and drop, have your cursor were you want the file to be, i.e. under text you have already written.
You can test for yourself that they are still attachments, log into the web account of your email if it as one and send an email to yourself from Apple mail with an attachment and on the web account it will show as an attachment.

  • I am not being able to attach a pdf file to my apple mail after upgrading to os X mountain lion

Hi, I was easily able to attach pdf files to my apple mail.  infact I could just open a pdf file and then send it as attachment in the email earlier. but after downloading and upgrading to os X Mountain lion, I am neither being able to attach and send pdf files in my apple mail, nor can I send PDF file as an attachment.
Is there any issue with OS X Mountain Lion.

    Hi, Thanks for the response.
I compose an Email, now I wish to attach a pdf file, I select attach, navigate. select the file, then click on attach.
It shows as attached in the body of my Email ( either as an icon, or the first page of file).
When I send it to the receiver ,  it is not present as attachment in the receiver's email.
whereas the same file when I attach and send through gmail, it goes properly.
    Issue no.2
I open a PDF file.  I go to file > attach to Email > on the right hand side, appears a menu where I click on the attach link,  and I get this message
The SendMail doesn't know how to talk to your default mail client.  Please select a different mail application to use.

  • How to edit or add text to a PDF file from an e mail

I would like to open a PDF file from an e mail received to work the file to edit and or add text, my e mail service is  LIVE.CA  (hot mail), I have Iwork 09

You can convert the PDF text to regular text (.txt) and then import/open into another program and make your changes, then save the file in the programs format (for your later editing) and then choose Print from the program and there may/may not be a option to save as PDF again.
You'll need a free (limited use) PDF to text utility like
    PDF OCR
    http://solutions.weblite.ca/pdfocrx/
Trouble here of course is you lose all the formatting and have to reformat, but it's a lot less expensive than Adobe's software.
LibreOffice is free to use and can save as PDF format if iWork doesn't save as PDF, it should unless Apple is really peeved at Adobe.

  • Submit by mail as .pdf  without using client side mail application

is it possible to submit a form in pdf format to an e-mail address without it opening the clients outlook in order to send, i simply want them to click submit, and it to send to my mailbox with the info as follows
    from: [email protected]
    subject: Timesheet
    Attach: Timesheet.pdf
body: Attached is this weeks timesheet
all i want the page visitor to do is fill in the info, and click "submit via e-mail" no outlook, no attaching, simply click and done.

    >? I have a similar requirement where in the users should be able to open the form from out website, fill it, submit and the form should be submitted through email.
    >There should not be any windows based client email needed on the user's machine.
What you describe is, superficially, utterly impossible. No e-mail
client means you can't send mail.
But the end result can be achieved. The form should be submitted, just
like every HTML page, to a web script on a web server. The script
should only be written by an experienced web programmer familiar with
all the security issues of web programming today.
The script can, if the programmer wants, send the form data as an
e-mail. Note that sending it as PDF, rather than XML, may require a
    major investment in enterprise software.

'''Try Firefox Safe Mode''' to see if the problem goes away. Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most add-ons.
''(If you're not using it, switch to the Default theme.)''
    * You can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the '''Shift''' key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
    * Or open the Help menu and click on the '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' menu item while Firefox is running.
''Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"''
'''''If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode''''', your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] article for that.
''To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.''
