PDF Guide line color?

When I am working in a PDF is there a way to change the color of the guide lines from yellow?  I know you can do this in pages.  Yellow is hard to see.

It looks like you might be using CC, in which case CC 2014.2.2 has a very cool, New Guide layout panel
If you are using CS6 (or CC for that matter) there is the excellent free GuideGuide extension panel.  Both would be helpful if you use a lot of guides.

  • Change color of trim guide lines?

Is it possible to change the color of the guide lines that indicate trim from black to something else? I often use black or very dark background colors and when I'm checking bleed and other things close to the trim line, the guide becomes almost impossible to see. I hope the answer is yes, but I can't see where to do it. In Preferences it seems possible to change the color of all the other guide lines, but not the trim lines.
    Any help much appreciated.
    thanks!

I don't think there is a way to change it. But you could add a new layer with a Frame the size of your trim, give it any color stroke that you want, put it on top of all the other layers, lock it, and you'll have what you want.

  • Guide lines in Acrobat

    Dear People,
How can i create in Adobe Acrobat Pro "Guide Lines" that will appear on each page visible.
Cause if i create a guide line in Adobe Acrobat Pro, it's only on one page visible and its not possible to copy and paste it ons same place, so far as i know.
There was one thing i notice, that the guide line have been created on the other pages, cause if i hover over the same position, where i placed the guide line on the other page, i can grap it and move it, but is still stays invisible. Its only visible on the page where i've created it.
So, one more time to be clear: Is it possible to create a guide line in Adobe Acrobat Pro, that will appear visible (in a color) on each page of the document at the same position?
    Kind regards,
    W. Brown

Perhaps this is a solution to your problem? Worked perfeclty for me! :-)
I had to align those numbers by the ruler on 500+ pages.
Now we could flag this problem as "solved"?

  • Guide lines to chosing a LCD monitor

I am in need of a new monitor. My Trinitron CRT is giving out and would like to replace it with a LCD type and know that Adobe does not support LCD gamma adjustment. What are some of the guide lines to use for the selection of a new monitor? Does "contrast factor" have a bearing on the dynamic range (Dmax)? What about "color space" of the LCD? Is there some way of finding out from the manufacturer what the color temperature is? Or do I just buy a monitor and along with some test apparatus, do the measurements at home?
If anyone has had experience with this I sure would like to get some pointers.
    Ken Clunis

    Ken....
I've just been through the process of choosing a new LCD screen to replace my dead one. The biggest problem I faced was that there was no way I could try out a monitor and send it back just because it wasn't up to my idea of good. So I had to rely on reading about some of the issues in various reviews etc. Trouble was that most folks had conflicting experiences and many reviews I came across mostly focused on the gaming market.
Being an Engineer I resorted to looking at the various spec's with a hope to making a decision this way but this didn't help as many specs were a little limited in info. In the end I looked at the technology and some practical issues that surfaced.
    1. Many OEMs like Dell don't make their own LCD panels, which is the key ingredient. Instead they'll buy from where ever they can get the best deal. This means that the quality and type varies from batch to batch. The advice I came across said to look for a display that used an S-IPS (or AS-IPS Panel). These have better viewing angles than some other types. Their were reports of some Dells using these and others of the same type number using a PVA panel.
    2. Colour space isn't a concept the average LCD manufacturer worries about. If you want AdobeRGB then the choice is limited and more expensive. Most will approximate sRGB.
    3. Being able to change the colour temperature is important rather than having a preset value. If your going to invest in a colourimeter then I'd advise checking to see if you can independently adjust the R,G,B. Although to be fair this can often be done by the display driver.
    4. I'm not sure about Contrast Ratio v Dmax. This is tricky for LCD screens because there isn't any control for Contrast/Brightness - just the backlight control. On my display - NEC 20WGX2 - the Contrast Ratio I think was spec'd at 1000:1 but the screen was so bright I had to wear dark glasses until I'd set it up with my Eye-One. This resulted in a 15% contrast setting and a 25% Brightness setting. Backlights are subject to degradation and start to change after about 18months or sooner if you run them at full wack. So, I'm hoping that running it at lower settings will extend its life.
    5. In the end I went for the NEC 20WGX2. a) NEC make there own panels, b)NEC make Professional Displays for Photographers and Artists, c) it got a good review for what I could afford.
There was some very useful information on the following web site along with some good information on the technology and choosing a display.
    6. If you are lucky enough to be able to try one with a Colourimeter then a good test is to see how much adjustment is required for the Colour Temperature. The more you have to tweak the RGB the harder the Profile has to work to render the colours which might introduce more errors. Displaying a Grayscale Gradient is another good test to check for banding. Do the same on a Colour Gradient as well.

  • Moveable guide lines in Lens Correction

It would be very nice and useful to have adjustable guide lines in the  Lens Correction filter.  The grid never seems to line up with critical elements that need to be straighten.  Moveable guide lines that can be placed right on or next to elements would be a great help.  It would also be nice if the dialog box read the exif info to remind you what lens you were using.  And a way to record setting for particular lenses that you could add notes to would also be very helpful.  thanks jeff

Elements using the Camera Raw plug-in doesn’t allow for lens-corrections.  Since you’ve posted your question in the Elements forum, is that what you’re using?  The much more expensive regular Photoshop hosting the camera-raw plug-in and the less-expensive Lightroom do allow selecting lens profile corrections.
The Camera Calibration area you refer to only deals with raw camera profiles for color rendition, not lens profiles that would correct geometric distortion.
A more fundamental question is whether there are actually lens-distortion-correction profiles for a FinePix HS10.  Usually Adobe supplies lens profiles for most Canon and Nikon DSLRs although there are a few others for other brands and types of camera, with a Fuji point-and-shoot having less chance of having a lens-profile created by Adobe.
There is an Adobe Lens Profile Downloader tool for getting third-party lens-profiles and checking it just now, it appears there is a raw profile for the FinePix HS10/HS11 built-in lens, but you still need to be using an Adobe product other than Elements to apply such a profile.

  • Guide line for hardware sizing

    Hi,
can anyone give a guide line for harware sizing for EBS.
I have searched in the net but here are no comprehencive document.
    I mean to say
in (Database + Concurrent + Report Server)
         SGA size
memory per user both for DB and concurrent+report server
         memory per session
         other memory requirements, etc
         CPU required
         Disk space required
other requirement for RAC(for each RAC node)
    in Apache + Forms Server
         memory requirement
         CPU requirement
         Disk space requirement
what I mean that what ever may be the concurrent users, managers, processes, module if I know the requirement for per
users, managers, processes, module then I can roughly estimate the hardware required.Considering
         •     Maximum memory utilization would be 60% in production and 80% in other
         •     Maximum CPU utilization would be 50% in production and 80% in other
         •     File system usage is 50% in production and 80% in others
         •     OLTP to Batch ratio of 60:40 is taken
Also tell memory required for Vision instance.

  • Can I get rid of the guide lines in the new PSE 10 crop tool?

The title really says it all. I dislike the guide lines in the new PSE 10 crop tool. Is there a way to get rid of them so the tool looks like it did in PSE 9?
    Thanks!

  • How do I change the line color in a chart in Numbers on my iPad?

How do I change the line color in a chart in Numbers on my iPad?

Whenever I try to shift+direct select it thinks I want to move the line, so as I shift + direct select and drag my mouse across the line (to highlight it all) it moves a chunk of the line and turns it into a near perpendicular line.
I found the appearance window, it just says "Path" (the color I want it to be that it's not)
    "Stroke" 4pt
"Fill" (the color I want it to be that it's not)
    "Opacity": Default
And some other buttons. I think I'll try the help line tomorrow, I know I saw a customer service number somewhere and I'm only here because the chat was unavailable. This is only one of my 3 problems with my assignment so I'll search here for answers to the other two. Learning new things is rarely fun.

It's probably the fields highlight color of the application, which you can change via Edit - Preferences - Forms.

  • Changing line color on XY plot

This should be something really simple. I simple created a property node, set the active plot, and set the plot.color. What happens to some plots is the points change to my specified color and other stays as my background plot color which is white. I cant seem to get the line color to change with the point color. There are ways I can change it at run time, by right click on the plot and going into properties and setting line color in that tab.
What am I doing that I cant get this to work at runtime?
I attached the plot, just ignore all the missing VIs you should be able to see the problem.

It works just fine here using LabVIEW 7.1. Could you do us a favor and make a mini demo, just containing the xy graph, some data for it, and the related property nodes to demonstrate your problem.
    Overall comment on your VI:
Sorry, but I am absolutely horrified by your code. I cannot believe that you need all those property nodes, especially the signaling ones, they should be used very sparingly. (For example the FOR loops on top center and in the event called "clear all points" are just pumping hot air, repeating the same action and signaling (!!) every iteration.) It also just cannot be healthy if a single event calls tons of signaling properties, such as in the above mentioned event case. Then, in the timeout event, you are rewriting the plot la
bels and names every 10 ms. Do they really change that often???
Please let us help you in your overall program design. It will make a big difference in your future, more complex projects if certain common desing misconceptions are not propagated. I think entire sections of your program can be deleted without loss in functionality, the code can be stripped to <20% and the CPU usage can be reduce to <2% of the current situation. Just my wild guess.
The above is well meaning criticism, so don't take it personal. I am much harsher looking at my own early code from 8 years ago. :-) Good luck!

  • MS Publisher 2013 - Guide lines on top of images

I am trying to edit a brochure that has a background image and several text and images objects on top.   I am unable to see the guild lines once the background image is added.
This problem has been around since Publisher 2007 (maybe has always been this way), however, most other design software will allow you to see the guide lines as you work.
Are there any plans to add this feature to publisher?
I found a few articles on the subject and the designers are not happy and switching to other software.   So it may not be a bad idea to add what appears to be a simple improvement to retain and attract users.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Check the user exit :- QQMA0025 PM/SM: Default values when adding a notification
For wiring into longtext i think u can update via WRITE_TEXT
You should also ensure that this information  should not be changed
