PDF portfolio - how do i update or replace pdf files in portfolio

I created a pdf portfolio using the map feature where i drag the pdf's onto the image.
But now, after i have all the pdf's in the portfolio, i want to replace/update some of the pdf files.
I can't see an option anywhere to do this?
Is it possible???

In the Find window (Ctrl+F) there's an option to replace the searched text.
This is in Acrobat XI, and there's no Replace All-function.

Recently did an update, and a restart, now iphoto gives me this error message when I try to open it You can't open the application iPhoto because it may be damaged or incomplete' how can I 'repair' or replace missing files?? Thanks!!

iphoto its pictures are still on your computer under the pictures folder.. it will be one file that says iphoto library. Its a separate file from the actual program.
If you still have the disks that came with your unit they have the ilife applications on them. put the disk in your drive that says mac os x applications dvd. it will auto mount and there should be a folder called bundled software open this and there should be a .pkg file to reinstall the ilife suite which includes imovie iphoto iweb idvd and garageband . After installing don't forget before runnig the program run software updates to download the any fixes
if you r unit has disks labeled disk one and disk 2.. you need to boot off of disk one and choose install bundled software.

How do I update web template HTML files on MAC

I'm running lightroom 4.3 on a PC. The web template needed a few changes making, mainly the layout and replacing links for images etc., I could not find a way to update via lightroom so I changed the detail.html and grid.html files directly in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.3\Shared\webengines\default_html.lrwebengine. Now I need to make the same changes in lightroom 4.3 on a MAC, but have no idea how to locate the same files and update?
Please can someone help me?

The equivalent location on the Mac is:

To see either of the Contents folders in the above path, you have to Command/Right-click on the previously mentioned file (Adobe Photohsop Lightroom 4 and Web.lrmodule) and choose Show Package Contents.

How can I convert and replace SDII files to WAV files in a song?

I have to convert some audiofiles in a song from 16 to 24 bit and from SDII to WAV. I choose the option "Copy/convert files" in the audio window and everything is converted well.
In my audio window I have now 16 and 24 bit files and WAV and SDII files.
But how can I replace those new files in my song?
On logic 6.4.3 I could after "Copy/convert files" choose the option "Change file reference(s) in the song to the audiofile(s) that have been copied", but in my new Logic 7.1.1 I don't have that possibility anymore.
What am I'm doing wrong? I'm copying my new audio in new folders.

How can you update your contacts VCF file???

I have been trying for days to update me VCF file to eliminate all of the extras that I don't want to see in my skype contacts.
I have created a new VCF file and just cannot figure out how to make it happen. I have tried to uninstall on my computer, delete the %appdata%\skype file, and then go through the Contacts>Advanced>Restore contacts from file but in the end, it just gives me the same list that I am trying to get rid of. What am I missing? What's the magic?
If I could actually just delete those outlook contacts that would be great too but YOU CANNOT! I have tried blocking and delete contacts but that just puts them to the end of the list. For crying out loud, I cannot be the only one that wants to update their contact list...

How can I update an existing .dot file (created long ago in Word)?

I send contracts out for my vacation rental with a lot of information and only need part of the info to be specific to each person.
But now I need to update some of the static info and want to continue using as a .dot. (So saving each updated contract as a .pages file).

I'm assuming you no longer have a working version of MS Word.
.dot is the extension for a Word template file. It can be opened in Pages if you change the extension to .doc.
You can export the Pages document to a .doc format file, but not to the .dot format. I suspect that changing the extension of the exported .doc to .dot is not sufficient to change the file from a Word Document to a Word Template
I would suggest that you open the static file into Pages, update the information, then export as a Word (,doc) file AND save it as a Pages file. Use the Pages file as the source file for the information needed to send with each contract, and open the .doc file only when you again need to update the static info.

How do I revert to replaced audio files being saved with the project file, *not* with the original audio files?

In the latest release, when you send an audio clip to Audition, the newly created audio clip - which was previously saved in the same folder as the project file - is saved next to the original audio file.
Makes sense, but for reasons to boring to go into, it's a major headache for my workflow, because it means combing through folders to find the files, instead of having them all in once place.
So how to I turn this off and revert to those files being saved next to the project file?

On your computer's iTunes you should be able to edit your payment info by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should be a payment link. If you are doing it on your iPad then you could try tapping on your id in Settings > Store and selecting 'View Apple ID' on the popup - that should also give you a payments link on your account's page.

How do I update the protected AAC file to my new user id (w/ email)

I have a bunch of protected AAC song files with my origional user name, pre email that I bought from itunes. When I am signed in with current email user name, and try to play the song it asks me to log in with the origional id which no longer existss because its now a email address. When I delete the files and try and redownload them under match they don't show up either. What to do?

You need to authorise those tracks using your old Apple ID and password i.e. the one you used when you purchased those tracks

How do I update the background art or type of a fillable pdf without having to redo the fillable form fields in the portion of the form that remain the same?

Create a new PDF with the updates. Open the old one and use Document>Replace pages. That will replace the background while leaving the current form fields intact.

How to request - Updating an embedded image in a PDF using Actions but not all actions are recorded

i am trying to create an Action in CS3 but some of my actions are not been recorded.
What i want to do is run the Batch option on a folder with a 1,000 PDFs in it. The PDFs
(which were created in Illustrator CS3) consist of a single page with a single embedded
image at the foot of the page. I am trying to update that embedded image.
The Actions i am trying to record are...
1) Select the single image in the Links palette.
2) Choose the "Relink.." option in the drop down menu of the Links palette.
3) Navigate to the new image and select "Place".
4) Save and close document.
But the first two actions are not been recorded.
How do i get around this problem ?
Note: From trying this manually the new image seems to take on the horizontal and
vertical scaling of the previous image which is what i want. But if i am going to have to
do a script then that is a factor that may have to be incorporated into the script.
Any help appreciated.

Give this a trial… It does a save as which is much safer than overwriting… At least you still have your originals should I get something wrong…? I did test but only with 3 files…
