Per user space limitation

Hello!
Is it possible to allocate certain size of the my documents repository per user?
Does this function in the roadmap?

Hi,
Quota for a user = Size of My Documents + Size of share there he is the owner.
Quota for a user can be configured from Admin UI. Go to User tab, search for user and assign quota there.
This feature is only present for cloud edition till SP3. Which new release SP4, this should come to KM (on premise) also.
Is this what you looking for ?

  • Mail Per User Quotas Not Working

    We just migrated from 10.9 server to the new 10.10 server and noticed that our per user mail quotas were no longer working.  If I change the Server app - Mail setting - to have a global mail quota on it work, however, we have a few accounts that we need to leave unlimited and the per user quota will not override the global quota.  So far we have had to leave the global quota disabled because of this.
    Even without global quota turned off - trying to set per user mail limits is still not working.  We are changing it thru the Server app and clicking users - selecting a user - then select edit mail options - and changing the setting for the limit size.  No matter what we set it to - it will not work.
    Does anyone know what command or how to change the per user quota limits from the command line?  I found that Dovecotadm quota -u username  shows you what the quota is, but I am stumped as how to change it via a command line or thru another method since the server app is not working.
    Any help would be appreciated!

  • Per-user bandwith contracts

    Hello,
    One of our customers have one Cisco WLC 2100 (firmware 5.2) with 4 AP Mesh 1522, in a city deployment. In order to achieve local regulatory, has to implement bandwidth limitations per user.
    I got screen captures of WLC QoS Profiles options, with Average Data Rate in Per-User Bandwidth Contracts.
    So my question is, do I need any other equipment to achieve per user bandwidth limitation? Can it be done with WLC QoS options?
    If any other equipment needed, which one could I use?
    Kind regards.

    Hello,
    Yes, you can modify your settings for per-user bandwidth contracts based on a specific QoS Profile on the WLC. You can then set your various WLANs to the desired QoS profile. The instructions to do so can be found here:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/wireless/controller/7.0MR1/configuration/guide/cg_controller_setting.html#wpmkr1254539
    There are a few caveats with this configuration:
    1. To modify QoS roles on the WLC, you will need to disable the radio networks on the WLC, so there will be an outage during configuration.
    2. The per-user bandwidth contracts on the WLC are applied in the downstream direction only. In other words, the wireless clients will not have limited upload capability.
    Other solutions may exist on your switch/gateway devices depending on their available features.

  • Limiting Bandwitdth per user with WLC

    Hi,
    Is there anyone who can provide a deeper explanation for "Per-User Bandwidth Contracts (k)" on the "Edit QoS Profiles" menu of a Wireless LAN Controller 4402? Does it limit each value to 0 to 60 Kbps as maximum ONLY, as indicated on the Help window?
    I want to limit 512 Kbps per user (client attached to an AP) not for WLAN.
    I read http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/wireless/hahcont/contc.htm#wp1041926 but it is not sufficient.
    I know I can do it with 3rd party equipments, but it is possible only with APs (1010, LAP1231), Cisco switches and WLC 4402?
    JVC

    Yes I think your assumption is correct. "Per-User Bandwidth Contracts (k)" limits each value at the maximum. This I think I have read in a document stating this information.

  • Limite RemoteApp to one instance per user

    Hello everyone,
    A customer asked us to make an (unfinished) application available to them. Since this application is unfinished we want to make sure that only one person at a time is using it and that under no circumstances the customer can copy the application.
    RemoteApp seems perfect for this, however standard it allows users to open the same application as much as they like with the same credentials.
    Is there a way to limit the RemoteApp applications to one per user session?

    Hi,
    Another idea is to create an additional user account and limit only this account can use this RemoteApp.
    Thanks.

  • How can I know when I reached space limitations

    Hi, I want to know what happens when an enviorment reachs its space limitation.
    I know that space available is 30mb per user and the only way to know how much space you've consumed is by calculations about the number of registers.
    But I'd like to know how can I know when I reached that limit and what is the procediment to buy more space (overall how much time it takes).
    Every comment will be appreciated.
    Thank you.

    We recently instituted a new CRM On Demand storage policy and we realize it hasn’t been disseminated as broadly as it should be. This new policy is significantly more generous than the former policy at no additional charge. We used to offer 30MB pooled storage for Multi-tenant, 45MB for Single-Tenant Standard Edition, and 60MB for Single-Tenant Enterprise Edition (this space covered standard records and attachments).
    Customers often think in terms of records and not MB, especially when they are considering importing x million contacts or other records. An average record uses 2KB. We have made the following changes:
    1)     Multi-tenant. Converted the 30MB to 15,000 records. Added 100MB per user for attachments;
    2)     Single-Tenant Standard edition. Converted the 45MB to 22,500 records. Added 150MB per user for attachments;
    3)     Single-Tenant Enterprise edition. More than doubled the 60MB to 70,000 records. Added 200MB per user for attachments;
    In summary the new limits are:
    Storage Allotment by CRM OD Offering______     Records per User_____Megabytes for Attachments to Records per User
    Multi-Tenant___________________________15,000 ____________100
    Single-Tenant Standard Edition_____________22,500 ____________150
    Single-Tenant Enterprise Edition____________70,000 ____________200
    A couple of additional notes:
    •     When counting records we are only counting primary data records. Meta-data and configuration records don’t count against the limit.
    •     Usage is pooled as before (i.e. a customer receives the amount of storage per subscriber as listed above multiplied by number of subscribers).

  • Amount of Resources CPU and Memory per user

    Hi,
    We are looking to deploy a Line of Business Application via RemoteApp and a custom template.  The application requires a significant amount of RAM and CPU, can someone tell me who much RAM and CPUs are allocated per session \ user?  I would expect
    that we would use the Standard tier if any difference to resources available.
    Thanks
    Giles

    Hi James,
    Currently there is no way to configure resources other than selecting either Basic or Standard.  If you would like a lower per-VM user density (and thus higher resources for each user) what you can do is create more collections, and only assign
    a small number of users to each.
    For example, say you only wanted to have a maximum of 4 users on each VM, providing typically at least 1 vCPU per user.  In this case you would create collections with the Basic plan, each linked
    to the same template image, and only assign a maximum of 4 user accounts on the user access tab of each.  Assuming each user uses 80+ hours a month, the total (before discounts) cost for each collection would be $228/month, making each user
    cost about $57/month, slightly less than equivalent cost under Standard plan pricing if you factor in resources per user.
    You probably already know this, but I will explain how scaling works normally for others that may read this.  Azure RemoteApp will automatically create more VMs for each collection as needed to handle user load (Scale-Out) and shut down VMs when the
    user load is reduced (Scale-In).  The key thing that affects this scaling mechanism is the maximum concurrent users allowed on each VM, which for Standard is 10.
    In your case you are asking if you can have more resources per user, hence my instructions above for creating multiple collections and limiting the number of assigned users to less than 10 each.
    Depending on your unique needs it may make more sense to create a custom RDS deployment on Azure IaaS VMs.  In this case you could control the size/type of VM used, user density, etc.  Downside is you have to set up and manage more
    RDS components than you do if you use Azure RemoteApp.

  • Windows Installer repair issue for per-user folders/files

    Intro:
    I have doubts that this is the right place to ask about this, since this issue has existed for me on many windows platforms, please suggest where this should be forwarded if this is an inappropriate place to ask.
    Please do not be confused by the directory paths for XP, this issue is also true for Windows 7.
    Description:
    Windows Installer does not repair files in per-user directories, such as [AppDataFolder], when initial installation is performed using system account (for example - distributing the package through SCCM or using psexec) and repairing under a user with administrative

    Hello,
    Did you ever get to the root cause of this?
    I have a similar problem with a custom XML that is reported as "empty or is not a xml file." in the logs.
    Wondered if you had found the root cause?
    Kind regards,

  • Is there any other way to achieve per user call forward restriction other than to create multiple voice policies?

    Hello,
    We mentioned the environment details below:
    Environment
    In our PBX environment, currently a user can forward calls to any local (within a region) internal extension. But for external PSTN call forwarding, a user needs to send a request and be approved by their manager. And the forwarding restriction
    is applied such that user is only allowed to forward to that particular PSTN number - to prevent toll fraud.
    Moving forward to Lync, using voice policy's call forwarding and simultaneous ring PSTN usages, I can set it to allow forward and simultaneous ring to custom PSTN usage and a custom route that will only send calls to these pre-approved
    external numbers.
    Outcome
    But in such a scenario,
     sSince all the custom external allowed numbers will have to be put into a single Route match table, User A will be able to successfully
    set up call forward to User B's number. (if they come to know about it somehow, that is)
    rü
    Route matching list will be very long due to the number of users per hubsite that has call forwarding enabled.
    Questions
    Is there any other way to achieve per user call forward restriction other than to create multiple voice policies ? MSPL may be ?
    2. Is there a limit in the number of entries you can have on the Route pattern matching regex expression ?
    Please advise. MANY THANKS.

    1) I think multiple policies may be your best bet, though it's not a fun one to manage, I agree.  MSPL could do it, but it would be more complex to maintain in the end.  Even gateways have limitations on routes.
    2) I'm not aware of a limit, though I'm not saying there's isn't one.  But if you hit it, you could move to a second usage/route combo.
    I'd suggest building out some PowerShell usage/route creation/organization script for this so it's not something that would need to be maintained within the GUI.

  • Cisco WLC 5508 - WLAN Per-User Bandwidth Contracts

    Hi,
    I setup per-user bandwidth contracts on my guest anchor controller. The controller model is 5508 and firmware is 7.4.121.0.  No Qos settings were configured on the foreign controllers.
    The bandwidth limits for the WLAN worked correctly for a couple of weeks, then speed reduced to almost nothing. I removed the WLAN bandwidth limits and speed was back to normal again.
    Has anyone else run into this issue? Any ideas why it might have happened?
    Thanks,

    If Scott does not mind an add-on.  The 3850 also supports per client QOS.

  • Limit bandwidth per user/computer using Catalyst 3560 switch

    Hi -
    Can someone help me getting started (if at all possible...) with enabling controll of used bandwidth at a "per-user"-level.
    I wonder if it possible to do this dynamicly with respect to the overall demand from other users.
    I've searching a lot, but I'm missing the terminology :)
    Sincerly

    To my knowledge, what you want to accomplish isn't possible on a 3560.
    You can police at ingress, and if you use a policy map, you can police different "known" IPs.
    What you could do, is police user ports ingress at some nomimal bandwidth, and if exceeded, mark the packets.  Then on egress, you could direct those packets to an different egress queue with a lower bandwidth guarantee than the normal queue.

  • Can you limit the amount of data accessed per user on an AirPort Extreme?

    Can you limit the amount of data accessed per user on an AirPort Extreme?

    Your question was whether the AirPort Extreme is able to establish data limits per user.
    If you add another router that has this type of capability or install software on another router, then you will be able to establish data limits for each user. The AirPort Extreme will have no control over this.

  • Restrict application instances per user?

    We have a new ERP application.  As with most enterprise software, it has a restrictive license on concurrent uses.  It even counts multiple instances from the same user as multiple uses of its license.
    The application runs from a Windows 2012 R2 server, as a RemoteApp.
    Is there a way to restrict it so that each user may only run a single instance of the application?

    Hi Itwally1,
    All RemoteApp programs on the same server for the same user will run in the same session.
    There seems to be no built-in method to limit a RemoteApp to a single instance per user session. Please refer to following threads and check if can help you.
    Restrict a published RemoteApp to a single instance per user
    Limite RemoteApp to one instance per user
    If anything I misunderstand or any update, please don't hesitate to let me know.

  • How to set session timeout per user

    Hi,
    Ho do I set the session timeout per User in the
    Application.cfm File??
    I tried using
    <cfif SESSION.UID EQ 1>
    <CFAPPLICATION NAME="appControl" SESSIONMANAGEMENT="Yes"
    sessiontimeout="#CreateTimeSpan(0,0,20,0)#">
    </cfelse>
    <CFAPPLICATION NAME="appControl" SESSIONMANAGEMENT="Yes"
    sessiontimeout="#CreateTimeSpan(1,0,0,0)#">
    </cfif>
    But this didnt work because the cfapplication seems to have
    to be at the top before I call the variable SESSION.UID which
    I set on my login page..
    Someone know how to do this??
    Regards
    Martin

    Martin,
    Your code example cannot work because the "session" scope
    doesn't exist until your application scope is defined. So you have
    to handle this manually. Here's how you can get it done. First,
    define your application to the maximum sessiontimeout you want to
    have.
    <CFAPPLICATION NAME="appControl" SESSIONMANAGEMENT="Yes"
    SESSIONTIMEOUT="#CreateTimeSpan(1,0,0,0)#">
    Then, I don't know how you are doing your login
    authentication but when you have authenticated the user, you need
    to define the userid and the most recent activity in the session.
    Also determine your timeout value based on the userid. See example:
    <CFIF IS_AUTHENTICATED>
    <CFSET session.user.uid = form.userid>
    <CFSET session.user.most_recent_activity = now()>
    <CFIF session.user.id eq 1>
    <CFSET session.user.timeout_mins = 20>
    <CFELSE>
    <CFSET session.user.timeout_mins = 1440>
    </CFIF>
    </CFIF>
    Now, all you have to do is check whether the user has been
    idle for too long and kill the session by purging all session
    variables. For example:
    <!--- if user id is defined, this means user is logged in
    --->
    <CFIF structKeyExists(session, "user") and
    structKeyExists(session.user, "id")>
    <!--- check if timeout has expired --->
    <CFIF datediff("n", session.user.most_recent_activity,
    now()) gt session.user.timeout_mins>
    <!--- timeout has expired, kill the session and log the
    user out --->
    <CFSET StructClear(session)>
    <!--- insert your logout code here --->
    <CFELSE>
    <!--- user hasn't timed out, so reset the most recent
    activity to now --->
    <CFSET session.user.most_recent_activity = now()>
    </CFIF>
    </CFIF>
