PerformancePoint Scorecard not usable by non-admin/creator

[Using SharePoint 2013 Enterprise SP1]
I (as a farm admin) have been successfully creating and using PerformancePoint Scorecards/KPIs which were created in Dashboard Designer. Another admin has been able to use them as well. But when I try to even just "Display Scorecard" in the PerformancePoint
Content library, I get "Error" in the grid where the values would normally be. If I look at the people in "Shared With" for the Scorecard, the current user is in the list.
In the SharePoint server logs, I am getting a couple errors there, including:
Unable to access data source, the Secure Store Target Application does not contain credentials.
Secure Store Target Application: PayrollUser
and
An error occurred querying the DataSource named 'ManHoursMonthDC'.

  • Flash player does not work on Non Admin accounts

I have 2 citrix servers running Windows Server 2k3. Flash

a regular user. Flash does not work. I have set the security

not work, flash asks to install, but when you click ok, it becomes

    Hi all,

strictly an issue with the ActiveX installer not for plug-ins.
Please reply to this thread with your results. If the

  • Exported PerformancePoint Scorecard not recognized by WebPart

    [Using SharePoint 2013 Enterprise SP1]
This was working last week - but apparently I did something to break it. I can no longer use an exported PerformancePoint Scorecard I created in Dashboard Designer to another Site Collection (same web application). When I use that .cmp "package"
as the Asset for a PerformancePoint Scorecard Web Part on my My Site site collection Newsfeed, I get the errors,
Cannot save all of the property settings for this Web Part. An error has occurred.
    and
The selection is not a valid PerformancePoint Scorecard.
If I select the scorecard directly from the other site collection as the asset, I can apply it to the PP Scorecard web part without a problem. Any idea what happened that this is not working any more?

    Hi cgtyoder,
if you are using SPweb import, i dont see there is any issue with this, unless your .cmp is very specific that require something that other site dont have, or how you backup process that result the .cmp file?
please have a try to import:
Created a new web app without any template "choose template later"
    Ran the command :
    Import-SPWeb http://site –Path export.cmp

  • Trust ALL root Certifications in Windows not working for non-Admins on Terminal Server

I have been trying to setup a verification process that will allow us to us Active Directory Certifications to verify signatures. I have finally found the setting to use the Windows Store after not getting Adobe to query our Certificate Authority. It works great on our local desktop where users have Admin access, but when users do it on our Terminal Server it does not allow it. I thought the issue was access to a configuration file in the Adobe directory, but I found the setting in the Registry set correctly. But does not work correctly. One additional note is I had noticed that after I enabled it on a Non-Admin, is Adobe would say it crashed after I shut it down.
My question is what type of privilege do you need, or maybe Adobe need to access the Windows Cert Store from a Terminal Server with a non-Admin because it is not validating after confirming the Setting is enabled.
    Thanks,

hello, since version 26 firefox is able to auto-update on windows even for non-admin users (when the mozilla maintenance service is getting installed in the original configuration): http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/26.0/releasenotes/#whatsnew
those would be the auto-updates provided by mozilla directly - so i'm not sure if this is something that would fit in your environment. installing the .exe file of a new version (available at [https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/]) on top of an older version will also update the program.

  • After 10.7.5 update, internet browsers do not work for non-admin user.

My daughter has a Macbook Air running OS 10.7.5. I'm the administrator and have no problems. My daughter has had a separate user account ever since we bought the computer 13 months ago (just out of warranty).
The computer is connected to the internet via WiFi router.
Since the most recent system update, we can't connect to any webpages when logged in under my daughter's user account.
Connections time out and the error message suggests we disable firewalls and proxies (there are none... I think).
She can still connect Mail, Skype and iTunes Store but not Safari or Firefox. We downloaded Google Chrome with the admin account and installed after this problem showed but it has the same problem when using her account.
I've searched the Apple forums and elsewhere and seen a few similar problems but none where the administrator's browsers work and the user doesn't.
By the way, there are NO parental controls activated.
    Please help.

One thing I do know is that the JNLPAppletLauncher since plug-in2 architecture JREs allow hooking into JNLP services. Try using web start to launch the applet.

  • Msi object will not install with non-admin user

I've created an MSI object for the Flash 9 plugin, which installs okay

  • Photoshop 7 & Illustrator 10 Not openining with non-admin account

Couldn't find anywhere else apropriate to post.
Built 3 brand new installs on 2 different mirrored G4s now.
When I try to open Adobe Photoshop 7 or Illustrator 10, it goes through the loading process, and when it's about to open (Initializing.......), it quits. (Image Ready 7 opens ok though!)
I'm sure it's down to a permissions problem, as when admin or root login, they both open. Also if I create a new user with admin priv. this works too, but then if I take away the admin priv. for the local user, the apps will then not open!
It's a Powermac G4 with 200+GB free and 1.25GB Ram running 10.3.9 with all latest updates etc.
I have also scroured Adobes website, and the only relevent thing I could find was a patch for CS, which I installed as a last resort, which didn't work anyway.
Don't know if this is related, but I have a similar issue with MS Word, Excel, but not powerpoint!
    Any help appreciated!
    Mike
EDIT - Just thought i'd update. I think I have found the problem. The OS was automatically adding a printer to the printer list, which is located on our network (HP Laserjet 2550 Colour - Network IP Printer).
When I looked at consol error logs for photoshop, it was also throwing out a printer error.
I uninstalled the printer, and all is fine!
    Anyone heard of this problem?

  • Reader X will not open (non-admin account)

I installed Adobe Reader X on an admin account for the computer. On the non-administrator accounts, Adobe Reader X will not open. There are no error messages or anything - it just will not open in non-admin accounts. Is there a setting I've overlooked to allow other users to access it?

How do you open the Reader on the non-admin account - directly (from the Start menu or desktop shortcut), or by double-clicking a PDF file?
After you do that, can you check with the Task Manager's Processes tab if AcroRd32.exe is running?

  • Non admin user - changes not saved (Safari settings, system prefs, etc.)

iMac, 2 users, one is administrator and other is standard user. Recently, in the non-admin user account, it has become impossible to make any changes. For example, adding an application to the the Dock, after logging out and back in next time, the application is not in the Dock any more. Also, making changes to the prefs in Safari, changes are not saved.
I noticed this after installing FireFox v4. I installed it as admin whilst in the non-admin users account. However, I don't believe that the installation of FF has anything to do with the problem, it just highlighted it. I've checked the permissions for the various directories that hold prefs info such as user/libraries/application prefs/etc. etc. and also Safari prefs. Nothing I can see that has changed in system prefs.
Any ideas on what has caused the problem (kids are known to fiddle from within the non-admin account) and any ideas on how to fix it?
    Thanks

    Hi PPRuNe,
You could try making the standard user an Admin too. To do this, make sure you are logged in to the standard user, go to System Preferences > Accounts > Standard user (you may have to unlock the padlock) > Allow user to administer this computer
This will allow changes to be made without being prompted for a password all the time.
However, if you had Parental Controls on, they probably won't work on an admin account because as an admin you have complete control over a computer, so the computer thinks there is no point in having the controls turned on. And if the kids are known to "fiddle," just think carefully!
    Hope this helps you.
    Chris.

  • New IR's not appearing in Views for non-admins

We are in pre-production testing for SM 2012 SP1.  We only have a few user roles beside the built in roles.  We have a 'standard' group
which has access to just about everything except for sensitive items relating to user termination, legal, etc.  We have a group which can see those sensitive items, and then we the built in administrators.  <o:p></o:p>
When non-admins create an IR or SR, it sometimes takes up to 5 minutes for the item to show up a custom “all open incidents”
view, or in a custom “my incidents” view.  In a few isolated cases, the work item did not appear for over an hour.  However, admins can see all of these work items immediately in any view that should, by criteria, be displaying it.<o:p></o:p>
What would cause a work item to display immediately in all appropriate views for admins, but not for non-admins?<o:p></o:p>

Sorry for the delay in updating.  Our management team got very frustrated with the performance and nearly killed the whole project.  I got them to give SM another chance with R2, hoping that some of issues would be resolved.  This issue was
    not resolved.
So, I have continued testing.  I cleaned up our Queues, so we only have 4 now in the Queues list.  When I open the properties of the our custom user role, the Queue section displays our 4 queues, plus one called Work Item Group from the System
Work Item Library.  I started with selecting just 1 Incident queue, for this user role.  I created a new IR as this user, and it took nearly 15 minutes for the IR to appear in the view.
I then modified the user role and selected the "All work items can be accessed" radio button.  I created another IR and it appeared in the view immediately.  Now, this is where it gets interesting.   I went back to the user role and set it
back to display a single queue, and the IR disappeared from the view.  It didn't appear again for another 10 minutes.
The queue that is this IR should be assigned to is quite simple.  Right now, I want it to display all incidents.  It is not looking at an advanced class, just incident.  Initially, I did not upt any criteria on it at all.  I then tried
setting it to just Active Incidents, and still the IR's takes 10-15 minutes to appear.
I still don't understand what an aggressive queue is.  Does my queue sound 'aggressive?'  The view is looking at Incident (typical), not advanced.  I don't see any obvious problems in the Workflow Status section of the Admin pane.  What
should I be looking for next?  I need to have the ability to filter queues by user roles, but it will cripple productivity if new IRs do not appear for 10-15 minutes.

  • Custom resource/attribute not visible in FIM portal for non-admins

    hi all
I have a problem I am not able to solve and hope somebody can help. We have created an custom Resource in the FIM portal called Customer. It is an User Resource Type and  attribute type customer, data type=reference.
We have made this attribute visible in the Users Properties by editing the RCDC for Configuration for User Creation, Configuration for User Editing and Configuration for User Viewing. It is now visible for alle users in the FIM Portal.
But when an non-admin searches for an attribute in that Field, nothing shows up.... only member of the administrator set, are able to display the results.
I have added the Resource to Filter permission - Administrator Filter permission + non-administrator filter permission.
I have added the Resource to MPR - General: Users can read non-administrative configuration resources?
    Can anyone help?
    Best regards Andre
    Andre

    Hi,
    To be clear,
You have create one new resource type 'Customer' and one attribute 'Customer' (Reference, binded to Person object)
Update RCDC for Person (create/edit/view) to add a picker attribute with those parameters
UsageKeywords: This is an optional string property. You can define a list of search scopes to be used in the Resource Picker by providing a list of the usage keywords that are supported by the SearchScopeConfiguration structure, where each keyword is separated by a (‘).
ResultObjectType: This is an optional string property. The resource type is used to render resources in the pop-up dialog-box list. This is used with the Filter to help the Identity Picker identify what resource type is returned by the Filter, and render the data accordingly. This property is mutually exclusive with the UsageKeywords property (see above). When the search scope is applied, this has no effect. The string that is accepted for this property is any single, valid, resource-type name, for example, Person. When the filter is expected to return multiple resource types, Resource is used.
Modify MPR "User management: Users can read attributes of their own" and "User management: Users can read selected attributes of other users" to add this new attribute
Create a new MPR to give the right of all users to view new resource 'Customer' on all attributes
    Is that right?
    Regards,
    Sylvain

  • Not able to install ActiveX (OCX) on Non-Admin user in Windows 7 ( internet Explorer 8/9)

I need the solution to install ActiveX controls throught CAB file (Micorsoft Cabinet) for non-admin users. Our solution is working for user accounts with adminstrator rights but not for nonadmin users.

    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/askie/archive/2012/09/27/guidlines-on-implementing-activex-installer-service-axis.aspx
But we could not succeed. Pls Help !

    Hi,
Apologize for the late reply and the misunderstanding about the ActiveX download location, we could change the location through the below registries:
Use Registry Editor to change the "ActiveXCache" value to the location you want in the following registry key:
          HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings
Use Registry Editor to change the "0" value to the location you want in the following registry key:
          HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ActiveX Cache
NOTE: The values you enter in steps 1 and 2 must match.
    More information, please check
How to Change the Download Location for ActiveX Files (registries exists in IE11).
Regarding the urls that download the cab files into user profile directory, would you mind to share the URL?
And here is some information regarding inf files:
    About INF File Architecture
We may check the value of DestDir, DestDir can be set to 10 to place the file into the \Windows directory or to 11 to place the file into the \Windows\System directory. If no value is specified, the file is placed into the \Cache directory.

  • Borland C++ Delphi application is not able to connect to SQL Server as Non Admin user

    Hi,
I am working on a Borland C++ and Delphi application. This application connects to  SQL Server and returns database queries results. Once we migrated to windows Server 2003 we have started facing an issue.

This application is written in Borland C++ and Delphi running on Windows 2003 Server. This  is a Windows GUI based small tool. Basic functionality of the tool is : 1) Once we invoke the tool it connects to DB(SQL Server 2005) and populates a list of
all the tables present in DB.   2) If we select any table from the list populated in step (1) and provide query parameters, this will return results from Database.
Issue:  IF we login to the Windows machine as Administrator this application runs perfectly .This application populates the DB tables correctly and returns results from database when queries executed as in step (2)
But if we login as some other user (like hubapp) then this populates some different set of table which are not from the same database instance .Also the queries does not return any results. In the logs we get following error message : (TiltData is the instance

Have you tried deleting or renaming the Dreamweaver configuration file?
    See http://forums.adobe.com/thread/494811
This can solve many problems and create one in that any snippets that are installed are lost, but you can get them back. Instead of deleting the config file, just name it config.old. When your system is working, just copy the snippets from the .old file to the new one.
