Phase 1 Negotiation Problems
Hi everybody,
I'm working on creating a tunnel between an ASA 5505 and a box running Check Point NG/AI. I've set up a couple of other Cisco to Check Point tunnels with this same Check Point peer without any problems. This time however, a SA is never created and I get the following when I debug ISAKMP on the ASA:
Dec 19 03:48:14 [IKEv1]: Group = x.x.7.225, IP = x.x.7.225, Received an un-encrypted PAYLOAD_MALFORMED notify message, dropping
Dec 19 03:48:14 [IKEv1]: Group = x.x.7.225, IP = x.x.7.225, Error, peer has indicated that something is wrong with our message. This could indicate a pre-shared key mismatch.
Dec 19 03:48:14 [IKEv1]: Group = x.x.7.225, IP = x.x.7.225, Information Exchange processing failed
The pre-shared key is not mismatched. Does anybody have any ideas as to what else I might check?
Thanks in advance,
Ryan
Ryan, you are correct in original post. The sa fails processing,I do not see anything indicating key matching or found peers. Have you guys try changing the keys for sake of trying different pre share key, what version code are you running.

Custom tasklist variant - Phase Controller Internal Problem
Hello,
I am trying to work with a custom tasklist variant. For that I have created a ZSAP0 variant, and copied all tasks for H*** tasklist (cannot use the Urg* word, forbidden by the guidelines) and Maintenance Cycle. I did not put anything custom yet, I just want to have the custom variant working first.
I then create a maintenance project, assign a logical component and all that, as usual. Then, when creating the tasklist, I get the "Phase Controller Internal Problem" message. The task list is created but not active, and no service transaction is created.
I think maybe the link between the tasklist variant and the transaction type SDMN is not done, but I have no idea where this should be done, I cannot find anything about this in the IMG.
Would someone know that? Or have any other idea about why this is not working?
Thanks in advance.

Xerox Phaser / IMac -Printer -Problem
Printing on my Xerox Phaser 8550 only works for ONE document. The second document always comes out as nonsense. Drivers are up to date, only solution is restarting the mac... Any ideas ?? Whenever I do this under Parallels there is no problem......
The latest Mountain Lion driver support begins with the Phaser 6130N. Tough break on the Phaser 6100.
Xerox has a page with links by operating system to PDF files containing all US Xerox printers compatible with the specific OS. There is a Mountain Lion link there.
If instead, you are wondering what supported non-Xerox printer to buy, look at the manufacturer specific driver updates on apple/support/downloads. Click the name of the driver update, rather than download it. You will see a link to a kb article that lists all currently supported printer models. For that manufacturer and other vendors. -

Gigabitethernet negotiation problem with cisco 2960
Hi
I have 2 cisco 2960 switches. one is a WS-C2960-48TT-L Version 12.2(25r)SEE1 and the other WS-C2960-48TC-L Version 12.2(25r)FX.
When i build a trunk between the gigabit ethernet ports, WS-C2960-48TC-L end shows me half duplex with autonegotiation whereas it is hard coded on the WS-C2960-48TT-L.
Iam not able to set the speed and duplex for the port on the 2nd switch.
Is this a bug with the 2960 or a compatibility feature between the 2 2960's
NarayanHello Narayan,
Has the speed and dubplex settings on the 2960 been configured? In that case auto-negotiation frames are not sent and the switchport cannot determine the speed/duplex from it's link partner. It will automatically choose 1000 half-duplex.

Phase/nano3G authorisation problem!
Can anyone help?
I just purchased and downloaded Phase for my 3G nano but keep getting "not authroised" message when synching. Have confirmed I have latest versions of itunes 7.5 (19) and ipod s/w 1.0.2. Created Phase playlist in itunes then tried to synch - no joy. Disconnected ipod and reconnected/synch, again no joy.
Account info shows that I only have this one macbook authorised (no deauthroize all option presented and I haven't deuathorized previously ever, so that isn't the issue).
What gives? Why cant I play the game I already paid for?!Thanks Tariq,
Understood. Later what i undestood is that at Juniper end PFS Group-2 was enabled & cisco router end PFS Group-1 was enabled..Do you think in that case telnet will work & apps dont.
In same setup with another cisco edge router PFS Group-1 was cofigured but looks that override & applications worked perfect. At offshore it was same Juniper & configurations.

OTA : Phase 1 certificate problem
Hello,
I'm trying to setup OTA Enrollment and succeeded in downloading the first Profile Service....but I'm unable to install and got the given message : "The server certificate for <my profile service URL> is invalid."
This is exactly the same server as the one I used to get the initial profile with self signed certificate.
The profile is not signed....How can I make it work ?
DavidI request a free SSL server certificate from 3rd party CA which is in the list of http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3580. And then set my profile server's domain to be the same as the common name of the server certificate. Then this issue can be resolved. However, There still is a warning before installing the last .mobileconfig which apple said there will be no user intervention required.

Problem with USRPs (phase offset)?
Hi I used this configuration (2 receivers (USRPs) and 1 transmitter (generator of sin wave)):
I did time and phase synchronisation .
the problem:
The received signals by the 2 USRPs are not superposed !??
how can I do to supperpose the signals received by the two USRPs??
please help me
Best regardsfirst of all, thanks for your answer.
unfortunally i didn't understand it in total.
do you mean, it is NOT possible to use any timezone setting, which is not based on a "standrad one" ?
as far as i know, there are countries using daylight saving time periods, which are not fixed to the "same start- and endtime for every year" (like israel for example).
i thought i can handle this "problem" using the posix string method to set the TZ environement.
so, is it not possible to use this linux feature (to use the export TZ=XST-1XDT..... command) combined with java ????
thanks for your help again.
regards

Anyone can help me ?
Sometimes the vpn can be vreated using the iPhone or iPad vpn client...I am having a simuliar issue with my ASA 5505 that I have set up. I am trying to VPN into the Office. I have no problem accessing the Office network when I am on the internet without the ASA 5505. After I installed the 5505, and there is internet access, I try to connect to the Office network without success. The VPN connects with the following error.

HELP? -
Remote Access VPN Problem with ASA 5505
After about ~1 year of having the Cisco VPN Client connecting to a ASA 5505 without any problems, suddenly one day it stops working. The client is able to get a connection to the ASA and browse the local network for only about 30 seconds after connection. After that, no access is available to the network behind the ASA. I tried everything that I can think of to try and troubleshoot the problem, but at this point I am just banging my head against a wall. Does anyone know what could cause this?
Here is the running cfg of the ASA

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!I made the change that you requested by moving the VPN pool to the 192.168.3.0 network. Unfortunately, now traffic isn't flowing to the inside network at all. I was going to make a specific route as you suggested, but as far as I can see the routes are already being created correctly on the VPN client's end.
Here is the route print off of the computer behind the (test) client:

Problem with Remote Access VPN on ASA 5505
I am currently having an issue configuring an ASA 5505 to connect via remote access VPN using the Cisco VPN Client 5.0.07.0440 running on Windows 8 Pro x64. The VPN client prompts for the username and password during the connect process, but fails soon after.
The VPN client logs are as follows:

Anyone have any idea why this is happening?
Thanks! Thanks again for your reply, and sorry about the late response, havent gotten back to this issue until just now. I applied the above command as you specified, and unfortunately, it did not resolve the problem. Below are the logs from the VPN Client for the connection + attempted browsing of a network share that is behind the ASA, and the new running configuration.

Thanks so much!

IPSec driver successfully stoppedHi Karsten,
Thank you for the reply !!! & best wishes for the new year 2014.
The problem is like this, if i select datacard connection type to NDIS it works but it doesnt work when i select RAS(modem) connection type for 3G datacard it doesnt. (NDIS and RAS(Modem) connection types are the 2 modes currently supporetd by the datacard.). Is there any case the users are experiencing from the similar problem? and what they have done to solve the issues? And thank you for the workaroung, i have checked the shrew-soft with win7 and it was working fine but not on win8, i will check shrew-soft on win8 very soon. Also we can move to the anyconnect solution but just want to know if this can solve our problem or not? whether there will be any issues with anyconnect solution for win 8 or not? can you please confim.

With windows XP Pro i dont have this problem.
Is there a detailed configuration guide?
10x -
Hello all
Id really appreciate it if you could provide me your comments regarding a problem I have when using CRLs (Certificate Revocation Lists) in a Solaris-10 IPSec connection. I establish an IPSec tunnel between two servers, Solaris-10 and MS Windows 2003, and it works fine. However, when I try to implement CRLs in the Solaris conf, I get some errors in the logs and the connection doesnt work.
At the end of the message I show you IPSec configuration Im using. This conf works ok if I dont use CRL. I changed the etc/inet/ike/config file to the following:
#ignore crls
use_http
I used OpenSSL to generate the CRL and both the servers and the CA digital certificates. I put the distribution point http://192.168.1.1/test-crl.crl inside the CA certificate which is in the Solaris 10 server. This HTTP server is an IIS in the other MS Windows I mentioned. I also have generated the certificates in several ways including PEM and DER trying to see what the Solaris is expecting.
I would appreciate your opinion about:
(a) Do you think the problem could be an incompatibility with the certificates and/or the CRL file formats?
(b) What is the format that Solaris supports for the certificates and CRLs?
I am also attaching the logs I got from Solaris. I guess it shows that the server can not obtain the CRL, but Im not sure.
Thank you so much and I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience,

Thank you for your question. This community is for Cisco Small Business products and your question is in reference to a Cisco Elite/Classic product. Please post your question in the Cisco NetPro forums located here: http://forums.cisco.com/eforum/servlet/NetProf?page=main This forum has subject matter experts on Cisco Elite/Classic products that may be able to answer your question.
However, just looking at your configuration, I did see that your hashing algorithm on the YMCA side is using SHA and group 1 for isakmp policy 20 while on the Server side you are using 3des and group2 for policy 20.
Good Luck,
