I am creating a directory. I would like to put the last name of the first and last record on each page header similar to how things are listed in phonebooks. How do I get the first and last record on the page in the page header?

I don't think this is possible. Not that i can think of.You'd essentially need a variable that will find the last variable on the page, I know you could do this with a variable that evaluated at the page footer section but you can not reuse that variable in the page header section.

Are you saying that you want a column with only th's? You could also just apply some CSS on that specific column that its rows look like headers.

I'd Like to Use a column for a series in a chart which isn't the first column (A)

Is this possible without moving the columns around?
Where the Date is the series on the left column, i would instead like the Day on the column next to it to be used.
I've managed to do this by moving the entire column but in future this may not be efficient so would very much rather another route.
Even if somebody knows if it cant be done i'd be grateful.

Ok resolved that work around quickly.
Adding a header row above the data seemed to organize the chart better.
I'm sure there are other ways but this seems to help point to the right organization for the table.
So in answer to my original problem i think the reason i was getting numbers listed instead of week days is because the the series in the left column was the rows of numbers in the header column.
So bassically it likes headers...i tested this by making both of the first two colums headers and it in fact does show it as
For the sake of the original solution of isolating just the text as opposed to making both columns headers.
I created a new table with two columns, one column was a header with the day of the week and one header row.
I then took the first cell i needed which was the cell containing THURSDAY and did an =B3 to reference the cell i needed from the original table. make sure to click the arrow in the formula and uncheck preserve row.
You can then drag and fill all the other cells underneath to reference subsequent rows . i did the same for the other column and its respective data i wanted to reference from the original table.
i then selected the table , created a chart and switched to plot rows as series.
If anybody has a better solution im all ears

Social 1.3 - Phonebook search problem

Hi,
when I search for a contact in the phonebook, like I want to link it to see the facebook picture, it always fails with an error.... Can't tell you the exact error because I have the phone set to my native langauge. Anyone else having problems linking their phonebook contacts with the fb contacts? This is on the C7 btw.

removing the battery or restarting the phone doesnt help no. Does the social app find your fb contacts in the phonebook?
Back then Mail for Exchange didn't work with Google Apps it was Nokias firmware fault. It got fixed in 1.1 or 1.2 I suspect this is a social app problem. So im not going to reset the phone.
Isn't there a way to enable logging to see the exact error message?

How to provide text formatting options to user from a text field

Hi,
My requirement is - in the interactive form, a comments field needs to be provided where user should be able to enter text with formatting options like
Headers
indentations
bold/italic
bullet points and numbers
Once user enters the formatted texts in a text field, data needs to be displayed/printed in the same format. Could you help me on how to provide these formatting options to the user for a particular text field?
I understand that once I define the text field with format XHTML (with RTF), user formatting can be captured and displayed in the same way. But I am not sure on how to provide the formatting options for the text field.

Hi,
if you select a text field for Rich Text and the press Ctrl + E you'll get a bar for all available text formatting options in Acrobat/Reader.

Multiple tables to open as 1 sheet in excel

I've built a basica depth charts to help with my fantasy football this season in numbers. Basically i have a tab with the team name then 3 tables inside of it labled offense, defense, and rookies. In numbers this opens as 1 page with 3 tables an does exactly as i would like it to. But i also want to share this with friends that have excel. so far when i open in excel it just gives a long page with a team name above 3 links, offense, defense, and rookies. and each opens individually. The ultimate goal would be for the team name tabs to open in excel as tabs across the bottom of an excel spreadsheet and then have my 3 tables within that one tab.
Or if all else fails i would just like a way to make the 3 tables open in one sheet somehow.

Sorry, that can't be done. Headers are across the top or down the left side, none in the middle of the table.
Tables don't necessarily need headers, though. You can format regular cells to look like headers and you can avoid formulas that reference the entire column or row. In other words, convert formulas such as SUM(C) into SUM(C2:C20). Stated another way, you can do it like it would be done in Excel.

Recordset structure in receiver communication channel

Hi gurus!
I have a problem with my receiver communication channel it says "Unknown structure 'Headers' found in document', probably configuration error in file adapter (XML parser error)'"
It's for sure that the problem is in the configuration of the adapter.
My scenario is from iDoc to File and i need to write only one header and many Lines, i made the data type like:
Headers
---Header
Lines
---Line
And the problem is in the configurarion of the recordset structure and the lines below.
If you know another way better to make the data type to acommplish what i've to do, just tell me I just made it that way because i thought it could work.
If something is not clear just let me know, what i more need is the config. of the receiver adapter.

If i understand correctly .. you are doing FCC on your receiver communication channel...and the following is your Target Data type
Headers
---Header
Lines
---Line
and FCC parameters you created are as below
Recordset structure: Headers,Header,Lines,Line
Header.fieldSeparator \r\n
Header.endSeparator \r\n
Line.fieldSeparator \r\n
Line.endSeparator \r\n
If the above data is correct, then I would like you try out the FCC parameters in my previous post. Because in the FCC parameters, you used only substructures(Header and Line) and you did not mention the lists ( Headers and Lines). That's why i think it is errored out.
If my interpretation is wrong, please let me know where i went wrong, i will try to look at again.

Extract article from HTML code

I'm trying to build a search engine for an RSS feed. Thing is i'm trying to store every article as a BLOB field in the database. To optimize my search i'll need to extract the article only and nothing else (no unrelated hyperlinks or html code)
I'm using the HTMLEditoKit of swing to get the html content without the code, but that's not enough. I need to clean the page of things like headers and footers (they affect the search results)

i already parsed the XML in the RSS...i've got informa ; the problem is the article itself
Take this article for example: [http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/7572635.stm] , you've got the article, but you've things all around it from link to different articles to headers, footers menus.
All of this affects the search results dramatically so i just want the article itself.
that's the greatest challenge.

Is it possible to display text from one area of my website onto another?

I'm busy building a site, and on my site I have a news section on my landing page with latest news. This news section is just the headline, and when you click on the link it takes you to the article. Is there any way to link the two together? I want the news section headline to be drawn from the article, so that when I update the article the news headline will be automatically updated. I want this done because the news headline section goes across all my pages, but I'm using 6 templates to achieve my design. So instead of updating my article section and each template, I want to know if I can do it in one process?
Is there a pure html/css way of achieving this, or would I need to use a JS plugin? If I need a plugin could anyone suggest one?

How do I create a table with header cell tags for screen readers in indesign cc 2014?

In order to create a table that's readable for screen readers, I need to give the cols and row values like headers. This way the screen reader should be able to understand what the value in it's corresponding cell is. But... how do do this?

Can't sort files and folders

Two questions:
1. In a folder I want to sort the items in order allways folders first and second files by namne but sometimes the folders last. Is it any way to solve this? The Mac mixed sorting makes me mad.
2. When in Finder-menu View the choice Clean Up and Arrange by is grey and can't be used. How come? Is it possible to make these choices active?

It's always frustrating when the designers didn't think to do it 'your' way. But we all figured out how to drive cars that were built 'their' way and we can do this too. The fact that MicroSoft did it another way, just is not relevant to working with your Mac. We're still coping with sillyunderscoresover here, and now our apps quit on us when we close their windows.
You like a hierarchy that puts folders before individual file items: Make a folder, call it "Directories" (or even better " Directories", or "•Folders"), put all your folders in that window into it, and if you want, make a companion "Documents" folder for everything else. Click the flippy triangles of both to reveal their contents. There, everything in list order, folders first. You will have to do a teensy bit of handfiling you're not used to, but as others mentioned a simple naming convention would have spared you that (and this suggestion). If you truly hate the look, you can make invisible custom icons for the two folders and use a style like:"••••••Folders•••••", "-----Files----" so they look like headers.
People have complained about missing this Windows 'feature' before without ever convincing me of its virtue. I can see which items are folders and don't need them artificially at the top (Sort by kind does that if ever I do) and find the integrated alphanumeric list useful for grouping unfiled documents near their folders. When I want the first item(s) on the list to be a folder, I so name it. You can cope, just like you can learn to navigate a new subdivision with all the cul-de-sacs. Now if I could just get used to this silly idea North Americans have that we should drive on the right.

Can I make text invisible?

Back in the days, I used invisible text format to make editing and organizing comments in MS Word. I used them like headers, but they didn't have to be there. When I printed the doc, I turned "invisible text off" and the visible text formatted itself (the space used by invisible text—whether a line or paragraph—closed up).
It was a very handy way to organize large docs, by using headings, but not having to delete them when printing.
I don't see a way to do that in Pages. Did I miss something?

Not the same thing, it still occupies space.

Comments do not directly shrink main text. Only the screen view changes to accomodate the comments. They need to be turned off when printing however.

IAS 6 Conversion from NAS 4.0 - Tools

Has anyone used the IAS-supplied conversion utilities to convert JSPs from
0.92 to 1.1?
We have a number of included/imported JSP for things like headers and
footers, and the conversion tool doesn't seem to like that. This should
work; this sort of thing is very common practice.
convert2jsp11 -ap c:\iplanet\ias6\ias\APPS catalog\customization\gettext.jsp
There seems to be an issue with the AppPath (specified by "-ap" above)
confusing the utility when it tries to process a JSP that imports/includes
another one. In the example above, I get a FileNotFoundException on
"c:\iplanet\ias6\ias\APPS\catalog\customization\catalog\includes\common\foot
_ias_included.jsp"
The "includes/common" folder is under "catalog", but from the message I get
it looks like the utility can't deal the fact that someone, somewhere, might
actually import/include something from a different directory.
Anybody have any ideas for fixing this? I have over 1500 JSPs!! Ugh.

Make sure that your network uses DNS naming.
This error occurs when a machine is not correctly configured to use DNS naming. The default fully qualified host and domain name presented during installation is not correct.
To successfully install, you need to provide a fully qualified domain name that consists of a local host name along with its domain name.
for example yoursystem is a host name and yourdomain.com is a fully qualified domain name.

Set_server_cookie: problem with table size above 124 lines

I have built a BSP which works fine so far. It consists of 2 pages. i am using:

to transfer an internal table called ig_all to the 2nd page. We noticed that, when the table contains up to 123 lines, everything works fine. When carrying 124 or more lines I get the "normal" Internet Explorer Error: Server not found. The requested page cannot be displayed...
Debugging I noticed that the method call cl_bsp_server_side_cookie=>set_server_cookie
works fine, but between the two BSP pages I get thrown out of the debugger at the following method call, which occurs in the debugger after leaving the first page coding:
4     class lcl_hr_timer implementation.
5
6     method if_abap_runtime~get_runtime by kernel module ab_kmGetRuntime
7     endmethod.
8     endclass.
Can somebody help?
Are there any special requirements or constraints for the transfer of tables using serverside cookies?

I unchecked the "show friendly messages" checkbox but still I just receive: Server Error - Page cannot be displayed. As I am using the German Internet Explorer, I think "kurze http-Fehlermeldungen anzeigen" (English: "show short http-error messages") is the right checkbox, which I unchecked - it is the 8th checkbox under Browsing.
