Photo Gallery trouble

How do I delete photo gallery from my iPhone or how do I delete duplicate photos from the photo gallery?

If you mean photo library on your phone. That is a special library that just shows all photos on the phone.
As for photos in other libraries, you need to NOT sync them if you don't want them on the phone.
For photos in the Camera Roll (the digital camera part) they can be deleted with the trash can icon.

I had no trouble finding the "Export" tools in the "File" menu. They are greyed out when no photo is selected, but they are functional after selecting one or more photos.
I agree that it would be nice to have the "Reveal in Finder" option back, but they probably don't want us mucking about inside the Photos library structure.

Advanced photo gallery - need help with MCs

Hello all. I have a photo gallery I am creating that can
contain up to 120 images. Rather than create buttons and movie
clips for each, I am hoping to dynamically build it with 1 movie
clip. But I am having trouble with my code. Here's what I am trying
to do:
Duplicate a movie clip on the stage with an instance name of
e1, giving each successive MC an instance name of e[i+1]
load external images into each movie clip representing images
e1 through e120
set the alpha of the movie clip to 50%
then onRollOver:
Set alpha to 100%, resetting to 50% onRollOut
onPress
assign a variable equal to the image loaded (e1 - e120)
pop up a box and pass the variable into it, which will then
load a larger version of the same image being called from a
different folder.
That being said, here's my flawed code

The problem with this section of code is that the dynamically
loaded movie clips do not accept any event commands (onRollOver,
onPress, etc). It is fine before I load external jpegs, but not
noce they are loaded

You rollover code doesn't work because you are assigning the
functions
before you load the images. The loaded images remove your
code. You should
not use loadMovie and use the MovieClipLoader class instead.
Then, in its
onLoadInit method you can assign your functions - so that
they are assigned
after the clip is loaded. Also, I'd either just create empty
clips, on the
fly, to load into or attach from the library. And
duplicateMovieClip is not
a property it is a method - calling like you are doing will
not work. If
you'd look in the Help you'll see that duplicateMovieClip can
accept an init
object, and also returns a ref to the new clip... So your
code can be much
simplified:
this.holder.duplicateMovieClip; //duplicates the MC holder
already on the
stage
this._name = "e"+i;
this["e"+i]_x = _x + 50;
this["e"+i]._alpha = 50;
To:
this.holder.duplicateMovieClip("e" + i,
this.getNextHighestDepth(),
{_x:theX, _alpha:50});
And you can't set _x to _x + 50 like that... for one you'd
need to use more
like this._x = this._x + 50 or this._x += 50. But it still
won't work here
since all the new clips are going to be created at x=0. You
need to
increment a variable... or base the spacing on your loop
variable, i - like
i *50.

Photo gallery not displaying when published to .mac

Hey,
I'm having some trouble publishing my photo gallery. I do not want to publish it as a web gallery from iPhoto then link to it with iWeb. What I want to do is to send a gallery from iPhoto into iWeb, and have it published as part of the website. When I send a gallery over to iWeb, it loads up great, and I have all the functionality that one would expect when doing this so by all indications, it will load up great on my .mac account. When I publish the website, it does say that it is publishing the photo gallery page, but the issue is that none of my galleries ever show up! I do not know what to do, I have tried completely deleting the photo gallery page and remaking it in case I did something wrong in the design somewhere, but it still does not load up. If I link in a web gallery, it does show up, but, again, that is not what I want to do. I am at a loss for what may be causing the error. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Publishing a iPhotoalbum to iWeb is the same as dragging the album from the media browser to iWeb.

What is it? Does it upload great to dotMac or doesn't it?
There's only one thing to do. Publish it. No need to upload. iWeb takes care of that.
It helps if you provide a URL to said page.

Help! problem displaying Web Photo Gallery in IE and Windows browser

Sorry if this issue is old news but, i have tried to find the answer in the archives first, with no luck.
It's about this;
I am working with Mac OSX 10.4.11 and Photoshop CS2.
Recently i haveust published Web Photo Gallery on my website.
It looks good in Safari and Firefox. But when viewed in Internet Explorer it's totally different layout. Thumbnails are shifted to the middle of the frame, and it is not a pretty sight.
Can't find the way to fix it...

I am currently building a site for a client and I have a page which should play a Movie inside an iFrame.
My HTML includes heights and widths and is as follows (angled brackets have been removed for display purposes in the Forum):
"iframe id="movie_play_iFrame" name="movie_play_iFrame" src="../movie/Movie-screen.gif" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" align="middle" height="269" width="398" /iframe"
This works perfectly in the latest available version of Safari, Firefox, Netscape, AOL, and Opera.
The only one that it does NOT work in is IE.
In IE, the movie plays all right but it does so in a new window and not in the required position on the page (which is inside the iFrame).

Photo Gallery: 2 positioning problems

hey, first i'd like to say, great photo gallery, it's exactly
what i needed for my site :)
now, as for the problems i'm having..
i need to place the gallery into part of a table, but i am
have 2 issues with this.
1. the main images resize the table automatically, depending
on the size of the image. however, it only changes the height of
the table. it does not alter the width of it.
--i do not want this to happen, i would like the table to
stay one fixed size.
2. the thumbnails, regardless of what position i move them
to, when moused over they move back to the original top left corner
position.
--again, i would like them to remain fixed at wherever i
place them at.
i've looked through the css code and am having a bit of
trouble trying to figure out just what to edit to make this doable.
though, i'm not even sure if it's something that's part of the css
code or if it's another part of the site that needs altered
instead.
any suggestions?

problem resolved.. was a rather easy fix.. not sure how i
screwed it up the first time though..but either way, it works
fine.

Making a photo gallery

I am having trouble with actionscript. I am making a photo
gallery and my buttons and layout are just dandy everything's
looking fine. The buttons do nothing, and i know i need
actionscript to make it work but i have no idea how to even begin.
I have what i want the buttons to show made in a movie clip I just
need to know how to how to have the clip come up and be centered
when clicked. Please help me.

depends on whether you are using AS3 or AS2.
either way, however, you're looking to work with "event
handlers"
onRelease()
onPress()
onRollOver()
onRollOut()
etc...
so in AS2, if you have a button named "test_b" on your main
timeline, you would assign an action like this...
test_b.onRelease = function() {
trace("this is a test to see if this button works.");
AS3's event handlers are a little different.

Help With A Project " XML Photo Gallery"

Hi all thanks for taking the time to look at this post,
I have made a Photo Gallery using Xml but im having a bit of
trouble getting it to work, What i mean is that i have saved my xml
gallery as a .swf file and im loading it into a loader componet of
another .swf file.
The gallery is the screen shots for my Clans webpage. But
when i load the gallery .swf file into the themain.swf file i get
no pictures or captions.

Help with embedding Javascript for Lightbox Photo Gallery in Muse!

Hi all:
I am fairly new to Muse and I have been having trouble finding relevant information for embedding Javascript in order to get a lightbox to work in Muse. Would anyone be able to walk me through embedding the Javascript for the Lightbox Photogallery for Picasa in Muse?

Hi,
I have tried inserting the script that you have pasted above as HTML on my test site and it worked.
What happens is whenever you insert something as HTML, Muse by default creates a div tag and places the content within the div tag. What I have done differently is I have inserted the JS with in the <script> tag and it has inserted the Javascript in this manner,
I beleive that since this a browser re-direct script that you are using, you would like to place this in the head section and not in the body tag, however, that is certainly not possible using Muse as it does not allow access to the code it generates as a muse file.
You, can still export the pages as HTML and make the appropriate changes there before uploading to the server.

Photo gallery page from iWeb '08 doesn't work for Mac OS X 10.3.9 user?

I have recently published a photo gallery page with comments on using iWeb '08 (latest update). Displays fine for me and apparently a lot of other mixed-platform users. But one user is saying that his eMac with Mac OS X 10.3.9 and the Safari of the day don't display the pictures. He gets the banner and background image for the gallery, but not the actual pictures. I asked him to try Firefox, but so far no reply on that.
Do the older versions of Safari work with content from iWeb '08?

I wish that Apple would TELL US or advertise the facts like, Oh, you only get ONE gallery for each user on Web Gallery (useless) and Oh, you will not be able to edit 06 iWeb pages with 08 iWeb and the iLife 08 version of iPhoto you will not be able to view these galleries without upgrading to the latest Safari web browser. Yes we always expect some bugs with a major update but this is getting ridiculous.
I have not yet had anybody try downloading the newest version of Firefox that will work with 10.3.9. Do you know if that will make a difference? Thanks for your help.

XML Photo Gallery - Loader won't load :(

I'm trying to make an XML Photo Gallery type thing. For each
'Product' it creates a new instance of a MovieClip from the
library, 'XmlItem' which contains a Loader Component and Dynamic
Text.
The Product Title goes into the Dynamic Text perfectly. The
problem is with the Loader Component. It simply REFUSES to load the
images. There's an exception. If I deliberately cause a syntax
error in the Loader Component's code, then the pictures load! What
the hell?
Oh, also I'm having trouble with the placement of the XmlItem
instances... For each of them, what position is _x relative to?

my_ldr must exist on all frames or, if you navigate to a frame where it doesn't exist, you must create another loader with the "new" constructor. in the later situation, you'll need to (re)define your button actions too because the new loader will need to before referenced in the button listener functions. even if you use the same name, my_ldr, you'll probably need to re-define your buttons.

Photo Gallery combined with three column CSS

Hi, I am trying to implement your photo gallery into our
school site and I am having trouble with the layout. I am using a
three-column layout created with CSS and JS, and then placing the
photo gallery inside of this. What happens is when you pull up the
page the three column layout does not position everything correctly
until you resize the browser window (ever so slightly). Help, have
been staring at CSS and JS code now for about a month and cannot
get it to behave, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Your Google ads are in an iframe. This rule will get you
started

You can leave the position static if you like, and it will
move up and
down with your images - I found that a bit distracting,
though. If you
leave it static, use a top-margin to establish space between
your image
and the ads.
The !important notation is required for the height,
indicating either a
conflict somewhere in your markup or CSS, or poor Google code
(not
uncommon).

Dynamic Photo Gallery?

I'm working on a website right now, and I've run across a
particular style of photo gallery that I'd like to duplicate. This

There are thumbnail images that you click on to view the
larger image, and when you click - instead of opening a new HTML
document, the background dims and the picture appears above
everything else. I know it's not flash, I'm guessing XHTML? I've
tried copying the code and putting in my own images to see if I can
make the action occur, but I haven't been able to get it to work
like this page. Looking at the source code it looks like it might
have been created with some kind of template, which I've tried to
investigate but I've gotten no where. I'm not having trouble
setting something like this up design-wise, it's the code to make
the action occur. Any thoughts?

Kitkat broke my photo gallery

Post-kitkat install on my Razr M, deleted images are "masking" more recent ones. Images I know I deleted are showing up in the gallery. When I click on them, they "disolve" while opening to reveal the new image beneath. It would be a neat parlor trick, but it makes finding images rather difficult as I have to guess which old image the one I want his hiding behind.
The problem persists even when the phone is in SafeMode.
There is no SD card.
I have never saved images to the cloud service but only stored images on the phone itself.
Any new suggstions or do I just need to take the phone to a Verizon store and hope someone there has a clue?

Sorry that problem is occurring in Safe Mode. That is an indication that no 3rd party app is causing the trouble. Looks like we need to backup and hard reset. Make sure you sync with the Verizon Cloud. Go to the website and see if the images are ok. If not that is likely a problem with the image itself. If the images are fine at the website then let's hard reset the device and sync the photos back to the phone with the cloud. Here are the instructions for resetting the device: From a home screen, tap Apps. From the APPS tab, tap Settings. From the PERSONAL section, tap Backup & reset. From the PERSONAL DATA section, tap Factory data reset. Tap Reset phone. Tap Erase everything.
