Photoshop 5.5 quits working when save as PNG
Photoshop 5.5 quits working on my machine whenever I try to save a file in PNG format. Problem started about a week ago. Anyone have a solution?
Just after you double click (or single click) the photoshop cs 5 shortcut hold down the Shift+Ctrl+Alt keys.
Keep holding the keys until you get a dialog asking if you want to delete the photoshop preferences file.
The location of the preferences files on windows 7 should be:
C:\Users\Your Name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5.1\Adobe Photoshop CS5 Settings

Thank you!Are you attempting to save the file to a network location instead of your local hard drive? If so, this is probably why you are encountering an issue and why Adobe Drive would be the solution. As we've documented, it is a bad idea to open from or save directly to a network source: Networks, removable media | Photoshop | CS4 and later. Drive can help you get around this by setting up an Adobe supported virtual connection to the network. Thus, if installing Adobe Drive is the solution you need and your need help with installing Drive, please post to the Downloading, Installing, Setting Up forum.
If you are not saving to a network location, then Adobe Drive is not going to be the answer. Then we'll need to know more about the file you are saving. -

I was downloading an album when my computer quit working, when it came back up all of my music was missing from my library, what happened and how do I fix it?
Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!

When I try to use the timeline portion of photoshop, I can't get the audio to work with my clips. I can get audio to work fine when using just audio, but the minute I try to add audio to a set of clips either photoshop quits working or it skips to the last clip in my show. I don't understand why this happens. I am using the same track each time. Very frustrating.

Adobe Photoshop cc has stopped working when saving file.
Whenever i save a file in Photoshop CC or i save as it crashes and gives me the "Adobe Photoshop cc has stopped working" so i cant use Photoshop CC for this reason. I have it sometimes with Illustrator CC as well.

Photoshop Elements Organizer quit unexpectly when accessing photos.
Why does photoshop elements organizer quit when accessing photos?
Try selecting the thumbnails (Shift+Click) or (Ctrl+A) to select all, then click on the top menu
Edit >Update Thumbnail For Selected Items
If that doesn’t work close Elements and delete the thumbnail cache which sometime becomes corrupted. Navigate to:
C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs\<Catalog name>
Inside the MyCatalog folder (or whatever name you gave your catalog) you should find a CACHE file:
thumb.5.cache
After deleting that file restart the elements Organizer and wait whilst it regenerates thumbnails.

CS3 Master Coll. Photoshop has suddenly quit working (running XP)
When I click OPEN to open a file,. instead of taking me to my folders, it closes Photoshop down. Open Recent works but not plain Open. I uninstalled it using the Add/Remove and reinstalled to no avail. It also thinks I don't have an internet connection when clearly I do. The other components seem to be working okay- just not the one I need. I have a big wedding to edit and finish by the end of the week- help!
My problem with photoshop and CS3 is that they are triplicating the
photographs each time I launch and Adobe seems to continue to give me the excuse
they are working on the problem of catalogues they are aware
of..................... I am into my 4 th month with this problem and still have nothing
resolved.

I uninstall the program and reinstall and it works fine for about 3-4 days then starts this all over again...I am at the end of my rope here, cant get any work done cause photoshop is always down. I am running windows vista, would this be part of the problem maybe? any help would greatly be appreciated, Im not sure at this point if I should get a new version of windows or a new computer or what...something is not right with it and I cant keep doing portrait sessions without being able to deliver proofs in a timely manner!My problem with photoshop and CS3 is that they are triplicating the
photographs each time I launch and Adobe seems to continue to give me the excuse
they are working on the problem of catalogues they are aware
of..................... I am into my 4 th month with this problem and still have nothing
resolved.

PSE 11 Organizer quits working when I try to create a slide program.
How do I correct the problem of PSE 11 organizer not working when I try to create a slide program.
I've got the same problem. I have just bought a Windows 7 PC with an i7 processor and 8Gb RAM. This wasn't an issue with my previous PC running Windows XP and PSE 6 so I thought it was down to PSE 6 and Windows 7 being somehow incompatible. I therefore downloaded a trial of PSE 8 but this also crashes every time I try to create a slide show.
I have uninstalled Intervideo WinDVD as recommended by John's link and followed the other instructions as well but this bug doesn't seem to go away.
However a workaround for me is that I can open previous slide shows (created under Windows XP and PSE 6), edit them and save as a new project. The slide show function is still very very unstable however and I have to save after each single successful action. It seems to crash at random but mostly when I try to insert any music into a project. It can be very frustrating and time-consuming for something that should be a very simple task for a grown-up, expensive program.
Anybody got any other ideas? Of course I've reported this to Adobe but I'm not expecting a reply (I've never had one so far so why should they change?). -

Samba PDC quits working when password is changed.
We are running Snow Leopard server and using the samba that comes installed with it as a PDC. We have been wanting to enforce a more strict password policy; however, whenever I change my password on the server, Samba quits working properly and our windows PC's can no longer access the server. If I set my password back to the original value, everything starts to work again. The real strange thing is I have been able to change other users' passwords with no problem and all users including mine are part of the opendirectory.
I have looked through the config files for samba and cannot see anything that references my user id so I cannot figure out for the life of me why changing my password breaks Samba.
Does anyone have any clues?
ThanksI am having the same issue. I keep getting an error message when I enter the password for my Microsoft account and I do not see where there is a seperate password for Skype. I hope some one answers this ASAP because I need to change both my photo and the primary email address.

If it's Editor which is crashing, please try the following solutions:
Solution 1:
1. Close Elements.
2. Launch the Photoshop Elements Welcome Screen and hold down ctrl + alt + shift as you click Editor.
3. Continue to hold the keys until you see a message box asking if you want to delete Photoshop Elements settings file; click Yes. Elements will open with default preferences.
Solution 2: In case any network printer is attached try to launch without network or printer uninstall or make different printer as default.
Solution 3: Try launching with anti-virus off or removing PSE from conflicting list.
Solution 4:
On the drive on which you have installed PSE,on my machine it is on C:
Go to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 9\Locales\<locale>\Plug-Ins\Import-Exportand you will find twain plug-in. Remove that plug-in from that location and copy it somewhere else.
Now launch PSE and check if it works.

Can't format SQL data as decimal
Hello All, I'm having trouble getting my SQL data entered with a decimal format. The SQL column I'm working with (Price) is configured as Decimal (10,2). I can enter values directly in PHPMyadmin and it works fine. I created the Insert Record and Upd
