PhotoStream and AppleID???

Hello,
I am interested in buying the current AppleTV, but there are a couple of things I need to know that a web search doesn't tell me.
Does AppleTV automatically sign out of PhotoStream after a certain period or will it stay logged in all the time?
Will PhotoStream automatically log out if a second user rents or buys something in the iTunes Store under their own Apple ID?
Or are the iTunes Store and PhotoStream sections seperate?

Can you hide them in iTunes on a Mac and then those that take effect when you sync the two?

My photos are syncing from my iPhone to the iCloud PhotoStream and to our iPad, but they are no longer syncing to our home computer (Microsoft operating system, not Apple). Why would this happen and how can I get it resolved? I have since tried to remove and reinstall the iCloud application in my computer's control panel. I have verified that I am using the latest Apple operating system and the latest iTunes. I have reset my photo stream. Not sure what else to try... I was also having an issue with my calendar where it would sync from my computer to my iPhone but not vice versa. Somehow in all the resetting that's resolved, but the photo issue is not. Again - photos are going into the photostream, but not wirelessly being put into the file on my computer.

To change the iCloud ID on your device you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone when prompted, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.

IOS 8 Photostream and Pages

Ok, ever since upgrading to iOS 8 I've noticed some issues with how Pages and Photostream works with mine and my wife's iPhone. We both have iPhone 5s w/ iOS 8 and now the pictures she takes on her phone do not automatically download into my Photostream. When we had iOS 7 it worked. Same thing with Pages. We use Pages and now on her phone it is showing no documents but there are documents on my phone, they aren't syncing like they used to.
I have it set up where I have an Apple ID on my phone and she has her Apple ID on her phone. In iOS 7 it was set up the same way, but I set up my Apple ID as a sub account so our calendars, notes, photos and Pages would sync. Now with iOS 8 I can add my account to her phone but it won't let me turn on Pages or Photostream and says only the main iCloud account can access those and those are all under my iCloud account she no longer can access Pages or our photos we take don't show up on each others Photostreams.
So does anyone know how to get that back? I've turned on Family Sharing but it doesn't seem to work with Pages or Photostream. This was such a good feature and now I'm ****** they took it away with iOS 8. I know I can turn on a sharing album, but when it worked in Photostream I wouldn't have to add the pictures, they just showed up. I can't stand it when Apple takes features away and touts this new and great software and they cripple.

I suspect that something in your setups has changed, not so much iOS. My wife and I each have separate iCloud accounts, but I set mine up as a secondary iCloud account on her iPhone and iPad so that we can share notes. This worked just fine in iOS 7 and continues to work fine in iOS 8. However, with this arrangement there never was the ability for her to see my Photo Stream or iCloud documents -- a secondary iCloud account never had the ability to access Photo Stream nor documents saved in iCloud, I'm quite certain of it.
Instead, to do what you want to do, you need to set your iCloud account up on both iPhones as the primary iCloud account. On her iPhone only, turn off the Contacts, Mail, etc. that she does not want to use from your iCloud account. Then, on her iPhone add her iCloud account as a secondary account and she can use that for her Contacts, Mail, etc. Be sure to change her iMessage and FaceTime settings such that you're not getting each other's communications -- do that by unselecting your iCloud email address on her iPhone as a point of contact, and add her own email (optional, but necessary if she has an iPad or Mac and wants to utilize iOS features like SMS relay).
This will achieve what you want, and may have been how you had it set up in iOS 7, since there is no way it could have worked the way you described.

Some pictures on my iphone 4s are not uploaded to Icloud and Photostream and stay in the camera roll

After taking pictures with my IPhone 4S the pictures are not uploaded from the camera roll to ICloud and my Ipad. The pictures do not show up in the the IPhone Photostream after taken. Any solutions?

I have experienced a similar issue.
Normally all photos from iPhone or iPad correctly push to photostream and it works.
But on a recent travel the photostream pushing seemed "spotty" and some random pictures taken with iPhone were/are not pushed to photostream. On the destination there was a (slow) wifi connection, might have something to do with it - but even after getting home to my faster wifi connection the remaining photos in my camera roll are still not pushed to photostream from the iPhone.
The missing photos not being pushed from the iPhone to photostream are random in timeline ("spotty" pushing).
Any ideas on why this happens?
I guess after connecting the iPhone to my Mac the entire camera roll will load into iPhoto, and iPhoto on Mac will do the remaining "pushing" to photostream; will have to wait and see.
But this issue purely is about incomplete pushing from iPhone camera roll to photostream.

Thanks for that, on the sync via iTunes, when my iphone is connected to iTunes via USB my photos tab says my iphone but I can never see any pics there. If I press Sync it still doesn't show anything.
Correction from my original post, it only comes up with PhotoStream on my computer when I'm connected via USB.

Photostream and iCloud Photo Library Mutually Exclusive??

I turned on the iCloud Photo Library on Monday after upgrading my devices to iOS 8.1. I recently noticed that the Photostream portion of the Photos app disappeared, and I can no longer see any of my wife's photos in my library (she is not using iCloud Photo Library).
My take away is that if you enable iCloud Photo Library, then Photostream is disabled (or doesn't function the same). Is this true? In the iCloud and Photos settings page, there is sitll an option to enable Photostream, but my iPhone is no longer pulling those photos off of the Photostream.
This seems like a poor strategy for mechanization since the iCloud Photo Library is not fully supported within OS X, but Photostream is. Why not keep both for the time being, especially since Photostream does not go against your iCloud quota, but the iCloud Photo Library does.
Apple should at least let you use both until iCloud Photo Library is fully supported within OS X.
Can anyone confirm my suspicions or provide more information? I maybe forced to disable iCloud Photo Library just so my wife and I can share pictures...

Yes, your Photostream album goes away. The idea here is that Photostream and "iCloud Photo Library" are covering the same particular area (which is in common with each other) and that area is the "photo sharing" part.
Now, in regards to why can't Apple include them both when you choose to activate the "iCloud Photo Library" ... is simply that you choose to be a "beta tester" in "iCloud Photo Library" ... so you get what you choose in that regard. No one is required to be a "beta tester" and they shouldn't be, if they are not suited to doint that sort of thing. But, you decided you wanted to be a "beta tester" ... so that's what a beta tester gets ... they get to "test out the system" and report any problems and bugs to Apple so that Apple can bring the "beta program" to "final status" and release it to the general public.

PhotoStream is purely a conduit for transferring pictures added to or taken on one device onto all the others seamlessly. Photos are held there only for 30 days. There is no way of accessing, viewing or deleting individual photos; you can reset the entire Photostream, erasing everything.

Confused over photostream and I cloud, how to move my pictures

Hi,
I have an iPhone 4S and an iPad 2. Apple store sold me cloud storage over a year ago as my phone needed to be replaced under warranty and I had to back up. I paid to continue after the year was up.
I am horribly confused however as I apparently have 15GB storage I have paid for with 10.6GB available and yet I cannot change to iOS 7 as there isn't enough memory in my phone.
I have synced to iTunes and can't get to my photos which are in photo-stream. Ideally I would like to take all of my photos in photostream and save them onto my PC but I don't know where they are in order to do this.
Any help much appreciated as I'm about to throw the lot out of the window having read what feels like the entire apple support community and getting more and more confused.

I changed my e-mail address and AppleID and now having problems!

I changed my e-mail address and AppleID the other night but the Apple website didn't recognise either account as an appleID. I called the helpdesk and they can't see them on their system either. I'm thinking that I may have spelt my new address wrongly. I've now created a new appleID with my new e-mail address but I want to get my old iTune purchases back! The guy on the helpdesk told me to e-mail iTunes support but I can't find that option on the website. Can anyone give me an e-mail address or suggest a solution?! PLEASE?! All items that you download from the store will be tied to the account that you downloaded them with, so you will need to get access to you old account to be able to re-access that account's downloaded - they can't be transferred to a different account. How did you update your account id e.g. via http://appleid.apple.com or on your computer's iTunes ? If on your computer's iTunes then does the new id show in the Store > View Account menu option, or if you select one of the downloaded items in your iTunes library and do 'get-info' (control-I) does the new id show on the item's Summary tab ?

How does one find their photostream and/or cameraroll photos when setting the wallpaper on iOS 8?

IIf you've upgraded to Yosemitie you should be seeing all your photos. They had been on loan to the NSAIDS, but they don't need them anymore.

There is no way to view your photos via iCloud.com. Videos are not uploaded.
Photo Stream merely "pushes" the photos to your other devices.

Photostream and iCloud not working post ios7

I have an iPhone 4S and mini ipad.. Since updating the phone no longer syncs to photostream however the ipad does sync and photos then appear on iPhone and ipad. Also today I get a message saying iCloud has not backed up for 2 weeks. All this coincides with the update to ios7. Anyone else experiencing this? As for getting the new photos I am taking on my iPhone to enter photostream I have no idea how to do this as to switch off and switch on photostream will result in all my photos in the cloud being deleted!

find my friends app didn't worked for me. guess because I had aktivate 'find my iPhone' with the old invalid AppleID.

Photostream and Itune match are no longer working ?

I couldn''t acces the Photostream wile in the previous releases I had no issue with that.
So today I had some time and reinstalled my Apple TV 3, heart about some network problems and a reinstall should have solved the issues
However, after the reinstall, I could no longer acces the Itunes Store, not Photostream or Itunes Match
After a cold restart, I could acces the itunes store; Photostream still doesn''t work and Itunes Match starts to contact and tell me that i can take a view minutes to download, but after a couple of hours the Itunes Match songs are still not displayed
So in fact I have a worthless Apple TV 3 now, which cannot play my cloud music, the only working function is Airplay
I have to admit that was the main feature to buy the box for;
Anything for the moment or are we facing real bug nows ?
By the way, I have the Apple TV 3 connected via fixed ethernet using DHCP
via a 100Mb synchronous connection. Iphones, laptops, Ipad other devices are all working fine
and the ethernetlink on the ATV 3 is also checked.

Disabling Fixed Ethernet, and only use Wifi solves the issue. Looks like a bug on fixed ethernet

Photostream and Windows 8

I just got a Windows 8 laptop and installed iCloud Control Panel 2.0 for the first time so I can back up by Photostream to my computer (didn't have enough hard drive memory before). I'm only syncing the photos, nothing else (mail, contact, etc.). It downloaded the last month's worth of photos (less than 100), but my Photostream shows over 950 photos. It seems to be downloading all new photos, but not the older ones. I thought it was supposed to download everything? Am I missing something? I don't want to lose all of my older photos since Photostream only holds the latest 1,000. Can anyone help me?

worked for me until the new Icloud for windows if you can find a verion lower than 3 it worked like a charm
