PHP Issue

I currently have been hacking around trying to get the pre-installed php that comes with Mac OS X enabled, but seem unable to get the page viewable from localhost or just simply viewing it in safari through finder. It gives me the underlying code when I try to view it, ie the php isn't running ... my httpd.conf file is below: Help greatly appreciated on this! Thanks
## httpd.conf -- Apache HTTP server configuration file
# Based upon the NCSA server configuration files originally by Rob McCool.
# This is the main Apache server configuration file. It contains the
# configuration directives that give the server its instructions.
# See <URL:<a class="jive-link-external-small" href="http://">http://httpd.apache.org/docs/> for detailed information about
# the directives.
# Do NOT simply read the instructions in here without understanding
# what they do. They're here only as hints or reminders. If you are unsure
# consult the online docs. You have been warned.
# After this file is processed, the server will look for and process
# /private/etc/httpd/srm.conf and then /private/etc/httpd/access.conf
# unless you have overridden these with ResourceConfig and/or
# AccessConfig directives here.
# The configuration directives are grouped into three basic sections:
# 1. Directives that control the operation of the Apache server process as a
# whole (the 'global environment').
# 2. Directives that define the parameters of the 'main' or 'default' server,
# which responds to requests that aren't handled by a virtual host.
# These directives also provide default values for the settings
# of all virtual hosts.
# 3. Settings for virtual hosts, which allow Web requests to be sent to
# different IP addresses or hostnames and have them handled by the
# same Apache server process.
# Configuration and logfile names: If the filenames you specify for many
# of the server's control files begin with "/" (or "drive:/" for Win32), the
# server will use that explicit path. If the filenames do not begin
# with "/", the value of ServerRoot is prepended -- so "logs/foo.log"
# with ServerRoot set to "/usr/local/apache" will be interpreted by the
# server as "/usr/local/apache/logs/foo.log".
### Section 1: Global Environment
# The directives in this section affect the overall operation of Apache,
# such as the number of concurrent requests it can handle or where it
# can find its configuration files.
# ServerType is either inetd, or standalone. Inetd mode is only supported on
# Unix platforms.
ServerType standalone
# ServerRoot: The top of the directory tree under which the server's
# configuration, error, and log files are kept.
# NOTE! If you intend to place this on an NFS (or otherwise network)
# mounted filesystem then please read the LockFile documentation
# (available at <URL:<a class="jive-link-external-small" href="http://">http://www.apache.org/docs/mod/core.html#lockfile>);
# you will save yourself a lot of trouble.
ServerRoot "/usr"
# The LockFile directive sets the path to the lockfile used when Apache
# is compiled with either USEFCNTL_SERIALIZEDACCEPT or
# USEFLOCK_SERIALIZEDACCEPT. This directive should normally be left at
# its default value. The main reason for changing it is if the logs
# directory is NFS mounted, since the lockfile MUST BE STORED ON A LOCAL
# DISK. The PID of the main server process is automatically appended to
# the filename.
#LockFile "/private/var/run/httpd.lock"
# PidFile: The file in which the server should record its process
# identification number when it starts.
PidFile "/private/var/run/httpd.pid"
# ScoreBoardFile: File used to store internal server process information.
# Not all architectures require this. But if yours does (you'll know because
# this file will be created when you run Apache) then you must ensure that
# no two invocations of Apache share the same scoreboard file.
ScoreBoardFile "/private/var/run/httpd.scoreboard"
# In the standard configuration, the server will process httpd.conf (this
# file, specified by the -f command line option), srm.conf, and access.conf
# in that order. The latter two files are now distributed empty, as it is
# recommended that all directives be kept in a single file for simplicity.
# The commented-out values below are the built-in defaults. You can have the
# server ignore these files altogether by using "/dev/null" (for Unix) or
# "nul" (for Win32) for the arguments to the directives.
#ResourceConfig /private/etc/httpd/srm.conf
#AccessConfig /private/etc/httpd/access.conf
# Timeout: The number of seconds before receives and sends time out.
Timeout 300
# KeepAlive: Whether or not to allow persistent connections (more than
# one request per connection). Set to "Off" to deactivate.
KeepAlive On
# MaxKeepAliveRequests: The maximum number of requests to allow
# during a persistent connection. Set to 0 to allow an unlimited amount.
# We recommend you leave this number high, for maximum performance.
MaxKeepAliveRequests 100
# KeepAliveTimeout: Number of seconds to wait for the next request from the
# same client on the same connection.
KeepAliveTimeout 15
# Server-pool size regulation. Rather than making you guess how many
# server processes you need, Apache dynamically adapts to the load it
# sees --- that is, it tries to maintain enough server processes to
# handle the current load, plus a few spare servers to handle transient
# load spikes (e.g., multiple simultaneous requests from a single
# Netscape browser).
# It does this by periodically checking how many servers are waiting
# for a request. If there are fewer than MinSpareServers, it creates
# a new spare. If there are more than MaxSpareServers, some of the
# spares die off. The default values are probably OK for most sites.
MinSpareServers 5
MaxSpareServers 10
# Number of servers to start initially --- should be a reasonable ballpark
# figure.
StartServers 5
# Limit on total number of servers running, i.e., limit on the number
# of clients who can simultaneously connect --- if this limit is ever
# reached, clients will be LOCKED OUT, so it should NOT BE SET TOO LOW.
# It is intended mainly as a brake to keep a runaway server from taking
# the system with it as it spirals down...
MaxClients 150
# MaxRequestsPerChild: the number of requests each child process is
# allowed to process before the child dies. The child will exit so
# as to avoid problems after prolonged use when Apache (and maybe the
# libraries it uses) leak memory or other resources. On most systems, this
# isn't really needed, but a few (such as Solaris) do have notable leaks
# in the libraries. For these platforms, set to something like 10000
# or so; a setting of 0 means unlimited.
# NOTE: This value does not include keepalive requests after the initial
# request per connection. For example, if a child process handles
# an initial request and 10 subsequent "keptalive" requests, it
# would only count as 1 request towards this limit.
MaxRequestsPerChild 0
# Listen: Allows you to bind Apache to specific IP addresses and/or
# ports, instead of the default. See also the <VirtualHost>
# directive.
#Listen 3000
#Listen 12.34.56.78:80
# BindAddress: You can support virtual hosts with this option. This directive
# is used to tell the server which IP address to listen to. It can either
# contain "*", an IP address, or a fully qualified Internet domain name.
# See also the <VirtualHost> and Listen directives.

# Dynamic Shared Object (DSO) Support
# To be able to use the functionality of a module which was built as a DSO you
# have to place corresponding `LoadModule' lines at this location so the
# directives contained in it are actually available before they are used.
# Please read the file http://httpd.apache.org/docs/dso.html for more
# details about the DSO mechanism and run `httpd -l' for the list of already
# built-in (statically linked and thus always available) modules in your httpd
# binary.

# the order below without expert advice.

### Section 2: 'Main' server configuration
# The directives in this section set up the values used by the 'main'
# server, which responds to any requests that aren't handled by a
# <VirtualHost> definition. These values also provide defaults for
# any <VirtualHost> containers you may define later in the file.
# All of these directives may appear inside <VirtualHost> containers,
# in which case these default settings will be overridden for the
# virtual host being defined.
# If your ServerType directive (set earlier in the 'Global Environment'
# section) is set to "inetd", the next few directives don't have any
# effect since their settings are defined by the inetd configuration.
# Skip ahead to the ServerAdmin directive.
# Port: The port to which the standalone server listens. For
# ports < 1023, you will need httpd to be run as root initially.
Port 80
# If you wish httpd to run as a different user or group, you must run
# httpd as root initially and it will switch.
# User/Group: The name (or #number) of the user/group to run httpd as.
# . On SCO (ODT 3) use "User nouser" and "Group nogroup".
# . On HPUX you may not be able to use shared memory as nobody, and the
# suggested workaround is to create a user www and use that user.
# NOTE that some kernels refuse to setgid(Group) or semctl(IPC_SET)
# when the value of (unsigned)Group is above 60000;
# don't use Group "#-1" on these systems!
User nobody
Group nobody
# ServerAdmin: Your address, where problems with the server should be
# e-mailed. This address appears on some server-generated pages, such
# as error documents.
ServerAdmin [email protected]
# ServerName allows you to set a host name which is sent back to clients for
# your server if it's different than the one the program would get (i.e., use
# "www" instead of the host's real name).
# Note: You cannot just invent host names and hope they work. The name you
# define here must be a valid DNS name for your host. If you don't understand
# this, ask your network administrator.
# If your host doesn't have a registered DNS name, enter its IP address here.
# You will have to access it by its address (e.g., http://123.45.67.89/)
# anyway, and this will make redirections work in a sensible way.
# 127.0.0.1 is the TCP/IP local loop-back address, often named localhost. Your
# machine always knows itself by this address. If you use Apache strictly for
# local testing and development, you may use 127.0.0.1 as the server name.

Holy cow .... http://localhost/index.php is working! So basically the php has to be run ON the apache server correct? How would I get it to run in something like Coda? It's not viewable currently in Coda's preview menu.
Hmm. I downloaded Coda and messed with it a bit and I can't figure out how to get it to do that. Basically, you'd need a way to get it to recognize that the files need to be previewed with the Apache server instead of just reading them from the temporary files it seems to create. You might have to resort to using two apps open: Coda for editing, then just switch to your regular browser and access it through the "http://localhost" address. That's basically what I do. I edit in TextMate or BBEdit, then use a shortcut like "command-tab" to switch to my browser and preview it there.
Also mysql is already installed correct?
No, there's a user created for MySQL, but the server itself isn't installed. The best place to get it is from MySQL's web site. Just make sure you get the right version for your OS and CPU architecture.

  • Help with Moodle on Mac OS X server - PhP issue

    I am a server newbie.  I am setting up a server on a mac for the primary purpose of running a website for my students to use.  I have a hosted site now, but the version of php they offer is not high enough to run moodle.  I want to install moodle 2.4 on my mac server (mountain lion) but it needs :PHP 5.3.3, MySQL 5.1.33 or Postgres 8.3.  I read that I should not try to update the native php (5.3.13)  any thoughts or workarounds?  I could install an earlier version of moodle, but it is no longer being supported with updates.

    First off, ensure that local DNS services are working.  If DNS is not working, then various services offered by OS X Server can be flaky.  Launch Terminal.app and issue the following diagnostic command:
    sudo changeip -checkhostname
    It's common for folks to skip DNS setup or to reference ISP DNS services, which usually gets them in trouble, and have a much larger project fixing DNS-level errors.
    OS X 10.8.4 should have php 5.3.15 and PostgreSQL 9.2.1, the versions of both appear to exceed the Moodle minimum requirements of 5.3.3 and 8.3, respectively.  To verify the php version, use the usual "<?php phpinfo() ?>" script.  For PostgreSQL, the brute-force command-line version check is "psql --version" command.
    Put another way, I'm not sure why you're considering upgrading components — which can be problematic — if you're already running OS X Server 10.8.4 as implied by the footers of your posting.
    Have a backup before starting the installation, as mistakes happen and having a backup of the whole disk means a faster recovery and an easier ability to start anew.

  • AIR doesn't communicate with my server - PHP issue

    Hello,
    So I have made an AIR application where the file communicates with a PHP file in order to display data.
    I have WAMP installed on my computer, and the application works when I test locally using WAMP but if I upload the php on an online server(I tried on two of my servers) and run the AIR application it seems that it doesn't communicate with the server so no data are displayed.
    var url:URLRequest = new URLRequest("http://www.test.com/test.php")
    This is how I call for the php on AS3, like shown above.
    Any suggestions?
    The php file gives no errors when I browse it online so, I suppose there something else going on?

    There are no errors, on either the php files stored online neither the flash swf.
    The only file scalled from an online server are the PHP.
    I suppose I don't need to pack these PHP when publishing the air file, since they need to be called from an online server?
    Very tricky since there are no errors, I would appreciate any help since this is an urgent project.
    //EDIT:
    So I just removed the http:// from the urlrequest to the site that the PHP is stored and I get this IO error:
    Error #2044: Unhandled ioError:. text=Error #2032: Stream Error. URL: app:/test.com/test.php
    at my_fla::test_1/setPHP()[my_fla.test_1::frame1:38]
    Notice the app:/ ? why is it there? Could it be the issue? I am not sure, but if you link to a local file, like "test.php" it works, but when adding a URL it doesn't...

  • [CLOSED] Weird mysql/php issue.

    Hi,
    I am running an ArchLinux as my Server. It's a fresh install. I just configured nginx as my Webserver and then configured MySQL. I wanted to use phpMyAdmin as a manager. I installed it via wget and it worked fine. But all of a sudden it would not let me log in anymore. The log in screen just keeps on popping up, without any errors or anything. It tried reinstalling phpMyAdmin, I also tried the alternative chive. In chive I get the error "CDbConnection failed to open the DB connection." I really am at a loss here, has anyone else encountered a similar issue and can point me in the right direction?
    Disclaimer: Please excuse my possibly poor english, as it is not my native language, also please excuse any questions that may sound noob-like, because I am quite new to Arch.

    config.inc.php should be in
    /etc/webapps/phpmyadmin
    but the installation symlinks that file to
    /usr/share/webapps/phpMyAdmin
    where the installation is.
    You'll have to add this directive in open_basedir @
    /etc/php/:/usr/share/webapps/
    Also might need an alias in
    /etc/nginx/nginx.conf
    What I do is symlink
    ln -s /usr/share/webapps /srv/http/.webapps
    /srv/http being my www directory I can visit mysite.com/.webapps/phpMyAdmin to access.
    This can be a security issue, maybe allow only local access or use another mean of accessing the installation.
    Also symlinking just the installation directory to a hidden directory precursed with '.' won't float, like mysite.com/.phpmyadmin

  • Local Web Sharing php issue

    I am running OS 10.6 on a macbook pro. I host copies of my websites for testing on the laptop, using php5.3.8
    Darwin Kernel Version 10.8.0:
    My web host runs FreeBSD 6.4 and php 5.3.6
    I am having an issue with extra space rendering in pages on the testing server.
    Below is a screen shot of a php-generated menu. On the left is the internet version, and on the right is the version as it is rendered on my local machine.
    Note the unsightly extra space.
    When I look at the source code in BBedit, it shows an odd character at the start of each iteration of the menu. The first three lines are hard-coded, and do not have the character. The subsequent list items are generated by a foreach statement in php, and display the odd character. (BBedit doesn't know what it is: it's not a break or a whitespace character.) Oddly, these characters are not created by a foreach statement within the loop that generates submenus.
    Any ideas? I had this issue once before, but it went away. I've just upgraded the php installation on the laptop.

    very carefully
    you jsut open it in a text editor like TextMate, BBEdit, vi, pico, emacs, etc.. and edit away. Where the file live depends on how you installed php. Its generally in <pre>[path to php]/lib<pre>
    if you used one of the entropy binaries that would be:
    <pre>/usr/local/php/lib/php.ini</pre>
    or
    <pre>/usr/local/php5/lib/php.ini</pre>
    if you used another package check its documentation. If you compiled from source yourself you should know d**n well where you put it

  • Unify, apache2, php issue

    I hope this is a correct place to post this question.
    I have a oes running on sles 10 sp 2 srvr. The organization that I work for has contracted with a webdevloper to author a new site. The developer needs to have Unify running from the public folder to be able to edit on the fly. Under the current configuration it will not operate.
    From the Unify support site it is recommend to either give the user all permissions (777) which is asking for trouble.
    From what little I know I can see that Unify runs within the root of the website directory and needs to be able to write to files within the directory. Since I am new to linux I need help understanding how I get a app permissions to edit inside the directory without giving everyone else permission to do so.
    The set up is that the web developer has permissions to the root folder (set to 7) but apparently the app needs some permissions to. Suggestions?

  • Flash & PHP issue

    I have a PHP website that had a jpg banner image in the middle of the page. On the left side of the page there is a vertical menu which cascades to the right with each submenu. Then the submenu cascades, is overlays the jpg image in the table cell next to the menu. The issue that I'm trying to resolve is that when I replaced the jpg image file with a flash file and the submenu cascades to the right, the cascading menus are displayed behind the flash image. Is there a way to control this so that the submenus can be seen? I have included the html used to display the flash image.

    What this is telling you is that your include files (I'm sorry, I have no way of knowing what they're called because they are processed before I see them) have redundant content, the bold pieces above.
    A page can only have one doctype, html tag, head tag or body tag. Currently, your site has multiples because the include files all have one and it's giving the browsers fits.
    Include files need to be only the html needed for their specific function/section of the page/etc. If the include is for a navigation system, it should only have the navigation code, no doctype, html, head or body tags. If the include is a set of links for the footer of a page, only those <a href="..."> tags and their accompanying text should be in the actual include file.
    Here is a page that might explain it better: http://www.tizag.com/phpT/include.php
    If you truly have zero experience with html, css or php includes, this may be a relatively extreme uphill climb for you.

  • MySQL & PHP issues since upgrade

    Little bit of background: I ran an arch server about two years ago, basically a personal web server (for about a year).  Had apache, mysql and php running nicely on it using the basic configurations with some minor changes.
    Now, present day.  I have recently installed Arch again and once the upgrades were announced, I held off on installing the LAMP applications.  So, Friday I installed them (as oppsed to upgrading), and thought I had them all working fine.  Apache was running, mysql was running (command line access was working well with one exception, more on that later), and php was being parsed.  When I tried to pull data out of a database, i was getting "call to undeclared function mysql_pconnect()."  I googled the error and searched the Arch forums, and everything said to make sure php was compiled with the '--with-mysql' option.  I checked that using phpinfo(), and indeed it was, but it was '--with-mysql=/shared', /usr' (or something similar).  What I ended up doing was removing the arch package and recompiling php myself using '--with-mysql' (no arguments) and it works beautifully.  So, basically, is the arch configuration for php correct?
    Also, issue number two, I have created a non-root user in mysql, but when i try to log in i receive access denied for 'user@localhost' (using password: YES).  Did i miss a setting that won't allow me to log in as anyone but root?
    Thanks in advance.

    simple, edit your php.ini like so:
    BEFORE:
    1250:;extension=mysql.so
    AFTER
    1250:extension=mysql.so
    no need to recompile php.
    ps: "grep -n mysql.so /etc/php.ini"

  • More php issues!*!*!

    I have a form which uploads an image to a folder on the server.....everything works on the Mac platform.
    Client say they cant upload the same file that I can!*!*!*
    This is the bit of the php that checks the file is under 100k and is a jpg image.
    elseif (($_FILES["file"]["size"] > 102400) or ($_FILES["file"]["type"] != "image/jpeg")) {
    $error = "Please check file size is under 100kb and is a jpg.";
    Does a pc require any additional jpg formats to check against??
    Cheers

    Murray *ACP* wrote:
    They havent said what browser version but I just assumed php is independant of browser versions, no?
    Of course PHP is - it's executed on the server.  But the file's mime type is determined by the local browser before triggering the upload!  That's where the browser dependency can come in.  It would be a good idea to ask your client what browser they are using to find out.
    ($_FILES["file"]["type"] == "image/pjpeg"))
    That's what IE7 uses for progressive jpeg images.  It should be a simple enough matter to include that in your list of acceptible mime types.
    IE !*!*!
    Yeah, I'll just insert it after the other type and see if that corrects the issue. Hopefully it will or I'll buy the client a Mac then I can finally move onward and upwards. What's the betting it will upset something else though, seems to have been one step forward and two back.

  • PHP issues

    An interesting issue happened, I was working with a PHP file
    in Dreamweaver 8 and no visual elements were displayed (i.e. table,
    graphics, text, etc.), however I opened the same PHP file (with no
    modifications) in Adobe GoLive CS2 and I saw all visual elements,
    thus is they're something that I need to change in Dreamweaver 8 or
    should I just continue to use GoLive CS2?
    (I'm more familiar with Dreamweaver products).
    Please advise.

    This is quite typical of pages that contain more than one set
    of <html>,
    <head>, or <body> tags, or that contain badly
    formed HTML. Can you show me
    your page, please?

  • Two WP themes in Dwvr -root level index.php issues

    If someone could point me in the right direction. I had been editing a wordpress theme based on Brian Wood's tutorial. Now I set up a new Dwvr site and want to edit a different theme, but the root- level index.php and the theme level index.php or that custom home.php still reflect the old theme when I try to view it at //localhost. I have WordPress installed in my root-level folder. Do I need to change the file structure, or is this a database configuration issue? Thank you.

    I understand child themes as an extention of a stylesheet. It's the div structure, and the ability to manipulate divs that just isn't clear in WordPress. If I'm not mistaken, it seems that templates are more or less includes, and that there is overlap between them, and the div architecture throughout the entire theme. The tutorial link from Nancy is newer to me, in terms of applying thematics, I'll have to look at it in greater detail some other time. Is the tutorial: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/dreamweaver/articles/dw_wordpress_pt1.html just very outdated? I like doing things in Dreamweaver, if I can, just for fun.
    Update: So a child theme can manipulate the structure of a theme, but generally within the limitations of that theme. For example, the twenty-twelve theme allows for a number of columns, which I can manipulate based on my choice, and the child theme. I am guessing it would be ludicrous to do something completely different from the general structure of that theme though. In that case I would look for a theme similar to what my end goal is, or then I would have to be an expert. Still wondering about that Adobe tut. though.

  • Send mail, returns no info, ActionSript or PHP issue?

    I set up a site with a page following Lee Brimelow's "Sending Mail with PHP" tutorial. All is set up and done, and functions with one exception, the delivered email does not contain any of the inputted information in the form.
    e.g. - I get the "Subject line", but the rest looks like this:
    Name:
    Email:
    Phone:
    theBuilddate:
    theLot:
    Message:
    Information entered on the contact form is not returning in the email. (Also, it does not return a "From" input, so I get no sender information on the delivered email.
    Can anyone help? I will happily copy and send my ActionScript and/or PHP page code. I've triple checked it all. -Frustrated!
    Using Dreamweaver CS4, Flash CS4, on a Mac.

    It's an Actionscript 2.0 file. Here's the code: (PHP page follows).
    stop();
    var senderLoad:LoadVars = new LoadVars();
    var receiveLoad:LoadVars = new LoadVars();
    sender.onRelease = function() {
    senderLoad.theName = theName.text;
    senderLoad.theEmail = theEmail.text;
    senderLoad.thePhone = thePhone.text;
    senderLoad.theBuilddate = theBuilddate.text;
    senderLoad.theLot = theLot.text;
    senderLoad.theMessage = theMessage.text;
    senderLoad.sendAndLoad("http://betaclient2.ommvc.com/send.php",receiveLoad);
    receiveLoad.onLoad = function() {
    if(this.sentOk) {
    _root.gotoAndStop("success");
    else {
    _root.gotoAndStop("failed");
    PHP page code:  (name "send.php)
    <?PHP
    $to = "[email protected]";
    $subject = "Custom Home Inquiry";
    $message = "Name: " . $theName;
    $message .= "\nEmail: " . $theEmail;
    $message .= "\nPhone: " . $thePhone;
    $message .= "\nBuilddate: " . $theBuilddate;
    $message .= "\nLot: " . $theLot;
    $message .= "\n\nMessage: " . $theMessage;
    $headers = "From: $theEmail";
    $headers .= "\nReply-To: $theEmail";
    $sentOk = mail($to,$subject,$message,$headers);
    echo "sentOk=" . $sentOk;
    ?>

  • Flash Builder 4, Data Services, PHP issue

    I have installed a fresh Galileo + Fb4 plugin + WST for eclipse on my dev server/workstation.
    I have installed a standalone Fb4 on my laptop.
    When I use the shwanky new Data services feature and create a PHP service... I can create the service fine... but there are no methods showing up for the data service/class. The class shows up in the Data/Services list -- and when I right-click -> Refresh (other options are greyed out) I get the following alert Error message:
    java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: protocol = http host = null
    I click OK and procede in my ignorance to scour the internet for a solution...
    I feel like a teenager who was given a brand new Corvette (Fb4)... only.... the key doesn't seem to fit the ignition.  I CANT WAIT to drive it!
    On a side note.... my laptop works fine? Go figure. I can right click and get all the goodies (Configure Return Type, etc.) that I'm suppose to get on that installation...
    I would like to get this working on my dev workstation. Is it something to do with Fb4 as a plugin on top of Zend PDT?
    Does anyone know where to look (maybe a config file or setting) that sets the value for this:
    java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: protocol = http host = null
    I know that I had to edit my shortcut and add:  -vm "C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\javaw" to get the java vm to work correctly and launch Gallileo

    I don't know where else to post  this question ...so apologies if this is not the proper spot
    I have created several classes in Flash 4 Professional and would like to know how do I create custom classes in Flash Builder 4
    this is one such class that i have created and wnat to use in FB 4..below
    package classes.choppingblock.video{
         import flash.events.*;
         import flash.display.*;
         import classes.*;
         public class YouTubeLoaderPlus extends YouTubeLoader {
              public static var PLAYER_READY:String = "playerReady";
              public static var VIDEO_READY:String = "videoReady";
              protected var _count:Number = 0;
              function YouTubeLoaderPlus() {
                   super();
                   this.addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, checkPlayerReady);
                   this.addEventListener(YouTubeLoaderPlus.PLAYER_READY, ytPlayerReady);
                   this.addEventListener(YouTubeLoaderPlus.VIDEO_READY, ytVideoReady);
              private function ytPlayerReady(e:Event) {
                   this.setSize(450, 370);
              private function ytVideoReady(e:Event) {
                   this.pause();
              private function checkPlayerReady(e:Event) {
                   _count++;
                   if(_count >= 50){
                        this.removeEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, checkPlayerReady);
                        dispatchEvent(new Event(YouTubeLoaderPlus.PLAYER_READY));
              private function checkVideoReady(e:Event) {
                   if(this.getDuration()){
                        this.removeEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, checkVideoReady);
                        dispatchEvent(new Event(YouTubeLoaderPlus.VIDEO_READY));
              override public function loadVideoById (id:String, startSeconds:Number = 0):void{
                   super.loadVideoById(id, startSeconds);
                   this.addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, checkVideoReady);
    Where would i develop an analogy of this code in Flash Builder 4 for custom classes?

    I would like to know how to do this process.  I would like my students to complete the module and then enter there name in the certificate line.  Then have them enter their email address so that the certificate can be emailed to them and they can print it off.  I would like to have the certificate be a PDF file so they cannot alter the name of the person who took the course.
