PI 7.11 Post Installation - Template initial SLD configuration ERROR

Hi All,
I was installed SAP PI 7.11 on Widows2003 with Max DB and when i am trying to run the initial SLD confuguration Template we are getting error at 70% as below. An the same ii have tried in different Browsers lke IE8.0, IE6.0 and Firefox
During the configuration Step: SAP BASIS Product and component.
ERROR: CIM_ERR_FAILED: HTTP Response Code: 400 Bad Request.

Hey Aviad,
Yes I did, in my case I've installed PDK SP 9 over SP2 which is prohibited. If this is your case as well do the following:
1) From the Undeployment tab of the SDM select the com.sap.pct.pdk..
components.
2) Using the Archive remover tool which can be accessed from
System Administration > Support > Portal Runtime > Administration
Console > Archive Remover --> Remove the portal applications with prefixcom.sap.pct.pdk...
3) Navigate to Content Administration > Portal content > Content
Provided by SAP > Platform Add-Ons > Developer Content
and remove all the contents below this folder.
4) Restart the server
After this you can deploy the SP9 business package using the SDM.

Initial SLD configuration problem

Dear All,
I need to configure the sld in CE server.
I found that it is done through
NWA -> Configuration Management -> Scenarios -> Initiate SLD.
My problem is that Scenairos option is not present when I select Configuration Management.
Could anyone suggest me the solution for this?

I am not sure about the reason the option Scenarios is not appearing in your case, as in our case its there. It is just below the configuration management option. May be you can try by restarting the system once, I hope its your test system.

SLD Configuration : Error opening an RFC Connection

Hi All,
I am working on EP6 SP19 and trying to configure SLD.
I was trying to check the data collection with the transaction RZ70,and I got the following error:
Data collected succesfully
Used RFC Destination: SLD_NUC
RFC call failed: Error opening an RFC Connection
Existing periodic jobs removed, number: 1
Program scheduled: 20070327
Event controlled job already exists,scheduling not necessary
I performed the follloewing steps:
I have imported CRContent.zip succesfully.
I have configured the data supplier bridge with following parameters.
Update local SLD (sld/active): TRUE
RFC Gateway:
Server : <host name of J2EE server>
Service : <The SAP gateway service port> (here I gave sapgw00)
This gateway service is installed while installing WAS Java.
Please clarify if I can use the same or Do I need to install standalone gateway instance?
I restarted the Data supplier bridge it is running.
I have created RFC destinations through visual administrator with
JCO RFC provider and used the same name for the program id
in RFC destination of SM59
Once the above steps are done,I am getting the error.(Error opening RFC)
Please give me a clue of wat else do I need to do?

check the following once.
How to configure the R/3 system as technical system into portal is follows.
U need to add some properties in VA.
Then only it will works.
U can goto the VA and in SLD data supplier add some properties like this.
1)HTTP settings: host = poratl host , port=50000 ,user = portal username , pwd=give thepwd.
2)RFC settings : Gateway host= poratl host and Gatewayservice=sapgw00
3)CIM client generation settings :host and port are the same as above and user and PWD same above
After this u need to check the Cimclicnt and that shows success.
And finally u need to go to the SLD add ur r/3 system properties and and ip address and host name in the host file of ur windows.
and finally add message server host in the services file in ur windows.
Have you checked the JCo destinations And SLD connetions.
If all are correct then u can add the properties in the Application server
Host file add the IP address and alias name
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\host
in services file add the <Messageserverhost> 3600/tcp.
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\services.

Error in the post installation of SLD .

 We are working on EP7.0 2004s.We are using local sld.Right now I am doing the post installation steps for SLD.I added the J2EE and UME roles.In the next step I went into the administration tab of SLD for configuring.It is throwing this error.

MI Post Installation Process missing template installer

I have installed MI Server (ABAP + JAVA Stacks) as a stand alone machine, also done the configuration steps manually for enabling mobile administrator in nwa. But getting issues while creating JCO's and unable to solve them, so I thought of doing it by automation. But when I want to execute the post installation template for MI, I don't find the scenario MI Post Installation Process in drop down box. Error when using the template installer MI post installation process

I am busy to configure the Netweaver Administrator in order to create setup packages for mobile devices. This is a WAS 6.40 ABAP JAVA instance with mobile infrastructure.
I have installed the netweaver SR1 and upgraded abap and java to SPS18 afterwards.
Afterwards I used the template installer, I executed: MI post installation process.
But when I did this an error message occured on the following node:

Here after I followed manual: MI25 SPS18 inst newtech.pdf for configuring the NWA.
I checked the complete manual, but still the error message occurs, when I am using the template installer.
There is one more thing.
When I go to the NWA, to the Mobile Infrastructure node, allmost all subnodes give me the following error:

Failed to get hierarchy group elements from middleware. Reason: Could not connect to middleware.
Does this error message relate to the other error message?
Please give me advise/hints/directions to solve this problem....

Hi Sowmya
During installation , the wizard asks you to use a existing SLD or a new SLD to use
and there you have given the address to host srv-4015
now you are using host 4016 but this is still using the same previous(4015) host SLD thats why you are getting this error.
GO to sap management console, click on that and restart your server again. by this your server CACHE will be refresh and it will reflect the new server

ESourcing post installation problem

Hi,
I am installing ESourcing 5.1 on NW04s SR2 on windows IA 32 machine.
I have installed Netweaver app server and esourcing successfully.
I am facing issue while running dbimport file. (as part of step 1 of post installation procedure)
Script is showing error in install stored procedure step.
some steps are executed successfully inside this. some are failing

Post-Installation Process Error (Template Base)

Hi Experts,
I try to run template base post-installation process in client 100, we never run post installation process in client 001 (Which is recommended before making the client copy), while doing template base post-installation process failed (got error) at PIPostInstallProcess step 7 u201CAdd Installed Product2u201D I move further and then it failed at step 19 (u201CConfigure the Role of the Integration Serviceu201D) and 20 (Register Queues) same process. It failed at number of process, so what I did I move to manual post-installation process but I stuck in the step were we need to import exchange_profile.xml because I can not see this file at sap\BX0\SYS\global, is this file being deleted by template base post-installation if yes then how to recover it?
Without this file i can not complete the manual post installation process...:-(

i think we do not need exchange_profile.xml file in 7.0 post-installation. ok i skip that step in post-installation now when i created LCRSAPRFC_BX0 in Visual Admin services->JCo RFCProvider and try to start it, it is throwing an Error.
I am using user "PI_JCO_RFC" has respective role assign to it.
I am not sure whether i am providing correct value to these filed or not

XI Post Installation - SLD Connection

Hi, I'm following the XI 3.0 post-installation guide. In the step "Maintaining SLD Connection Parameters" I call transaction SLDAPICUST and try to insert a row as described in the guide.
The problem occurs in the password column which is not editable.
Am I missing something?

Juan, I had the same problem. I was using the Java GUI 6.40R2 and the Password popup does not work. I switched to use the Windows GUI and the password popup came up, I entered the password and all is OK. I went back to the Java GUI and clicked on Password field and the popup is working now - go figure??
