PI JDBC INSERT Failed but message is registered as successful

Dear all,
We have a scenario where we send an IDOC with prices of several materials to PI and then using JDBC we send it to an SQL database. During the mapping, we create an INSERT statement for each segment of the IDOC .
The problem is, that sometimes one or more insert statements may fail (the customer can see no new lines in the database), but in the monitoring everything seems ok . The message has a "processed successfully"  status so there is no way for the customer to know that something went wrong so each time they check the prices one by one .
The strange part is that if they find a mistake, they just resend the same message and after one or two tries it works ! This indicates that the problem is not in the actual data but somewhere else (probably in the database ?) .
So, one problem is why the data is not written and the second issue is why the message is logged as successful although one query has failed ,
Thank you all for your help .

Thank you for both for your quick response .
Unfortunately this scenario is up and running for quite some time already and the customer does not want to change it . Also, I am not sure how I could make an Insert statement that would include many lines .
Right now, the mapping produces the following result (I only post the first two statements, the actual number is around 500)
<Statement><dbTableName action="INSERT">
<table>min_sapsrs_price</table>
<access><STAT>0</STAT><
ACT_DATE>20100701</ACT_DATE>
<MOD_DEL>MOD</MOD_DEL>
<INTCODE>000000000014009003</INTCODE>
</access>
</dbTableName>
</Statement>
<Statement>
<dbTableName action="INSERT">
<table>min_sapsrs_price</table>
<access><STAT>0</STAT>
<ACT_DATE>20100701</ACT_DATE>
<MOD_DEL>MOD</MOD_DEL>
<INTCODE>000000000014009004</INTCODE>
</access>
</dbTableName>
</Statement>
could you please tell me how should I propose them to do it ?

  • Last status is failed but the bios is install successfully

    hi,
    I have win 7 prof 64 bit - clients and active directory on windows 8. on one client i have problem with bios, the bios is in te advertised programs - its install on clients but last status is failed, but installation of bios is successfully, and the
    bios instal again, and again......
    regards

    By default, SCCM considers an error code of 0 successful and anything else a failure (with a couple of exceptions but generally speaking).
    However, remember that the creator of any application you are running doesn't necessarily abide by that.
    For all you know, error code 1073807364
    might mean:
    - Update successful
    - Update successful but restart required
    - Nothing to update (because the computer already has the same BIOS version as what you are trying to install
    - etc..
    You need to figure out exactly what that error code means on the software you are running and if it is the case that that's actually a successful error code, depending on how you are calling it, you either configure SCCM to accept that error code as a success
    or you wrap your main program around a script that transforms that particular code into a 0, which will then be interpreted by SCCM as a success.

  • Jdbc insert fails with 01722: invalid number but sqlplus doesn't

    I am experiencing a 01722: invalid number on a remote system in Canada. Initially, I couldn't insert '0.0' into a number field, but after changing the ...Oracle/HOME0 ... registry value from ENGLISH_CANADA.WE8MSWIN1252 to AMERICAN_AMERICA.WE8MSWIN1252 and recycling the App Server (Oracle client) I was able to insert '0.0' into a number field.
    But my java app using JDBC had the same error "ORA-01722: invalid number" occurring for the same table and attribute -- only this time -- when I attempted to manually insert the same insert '0.0' into a number field -- it worked via SQLPlus.
    The NLS_Lang is set to AMERICAN_AMERICA.WE8MSWIN1252.
    I confirmed that the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Nls\CodePage\ACP value is 1252.
    Assuming a theory that maybe it is a setting on the DB Server, I tried reproducing this problem locally in my lab configuration by setting the NLS_Lang registry value to ENGLISH_CANADA.WE8MSWIN1252. I used the same jdbc test app to issue the insert....but it worked.
    --- Any advice on what other configuration changes could influence the number data type or whether it is possibly a DB Server setting instead of client -- would be greatly appreciated.

    JDBC does not care about NLS_LANG. It takes the Java default locale, maps it to Oracle language/territory pair and sends to the server.
    Just try this:
    Statement stmt = conn.createStatement();
    stmt.execute( "ALTER SESSION SET NLS_NUMERIC_CHARACTERS='.,'" );
    or bind numeric datatypes.

  • Reader install failing but installer says it completed successfully

    I am trying install Acrobat Reader 9 on a Windows XP Pro machine.
    The download manager starts, says it is downloading and installing installing the reader, it completes the download, then it says installation was successful, and the download and installation progress bar is at a 100% but it hangs at that point.
    Tried closing the download manager it say it is still installing an application, close anyway, and check sure enough Acrobat Reader is not installed.
    If I try relaunch, it just goes straight to showing that installation is complete.
    At this point if you check add/remove programs the download manager is listed but Acrobat Reader is not.  If reboot, then neither the download manager or Acrobat Reader is listed.
    At this point if I go back to the download page, and relaunch the whole process it starts with wanting to install the download manager again.
    I have tried this with Anti-virus both enabled and disabled with no affect.

    Assuming that you want to download the English version of the latest Adobe Reader 9.2, you can download it directly (without the DLM) here http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/9.x/9.2/enu/AdbeRdr920_en_US.exe
    If it is a different version you want, navigate to your version on the FTP server ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/9.x/

    SInce this is the Acrobat forum and not the Reader forum, I have no idea. You might try the Reader forum for the Adobe Reader product. There has not been an Acrobat Reader since version 5, and then it was also a different product.

    Hi,
    I've been trying for days to download Windows support software via Bootcamp assistant but it always fails with message 'Can't install windows software because it is not currently available from the software update server.'

    Your issue is completely different. You are running Snow Leopard. There is no download for Windows Support software for Snow Leopard, hence the error you see. Snow Leopard Windows Support software is on the Snow Leopard installation disk.
    You need the Snow Leopard installation disk or a replacement for it.

        Hmm, that's odd JeanEB. The error message referts to the connection to your email server not to cellular data or connection to wi-fi. Go to Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars> Select your account and type in your password again. If this doesn't resolve it, delete/re-add the email account.

    I haven't ever used that method of inserting rows, but from the example in the API documentation it looks to me like you have to callaResultSet.moveToInsertRow();before you callaResultSet.insertRow();Or are you just "inserting" the physician's name into existing rows of the database? If that's what you are doing then you need to callaResultSet.updateRow();Message was edited by:

  • JMS JDBC store failed to open after switched to a different database machine

              Hi,
              I'm running WebLogic 6.1 sp3/Oracle 8.1.6 and I configure the JMS JDBC store for
              persistent messaging. I was working fine until I switched to use a different database
              machine which has the same software configuration as the old one. It was giving
              me "failed to create tables" error at start up time. But I checked the database
              and found out the two tables (<prefix>JMSSTORE and <prefix>JMSSTATE) were both
              created and I was able to query although they don't contain any data. By the way,
              I'm using thin client.

    Hi Michelle,
              I suspect a permission problem where the new tables are created
              using the JDBC driver's default schema, but the prefix
              specifies another schema "qa". So the tables are getting
              created, but aren't found.
              Work-around one:
              manually extract, edit, and run the ddl that creates
              the tables to specify the schema. Prepend
              "qa.JMS_SERVER_" to all table names
              (This is fairly simple to do.)
              http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs61/jms/appb.html#999286
              Work-around two:
              Don't include "qa." in the prefix.
              (i'm not sure if this will work)
              Work-around three:
              Change the username of the JDBC pool to "qa".
              (i'm not sure if this will work)
              Work-around four:
              Change the schema for the tables that were created
              under the JDBC driver's default schema to "qa".
              (I'm not sure how this is done, or even
              if it is possible. Database specific.)

    Hi,
    I'm trying to "Create a Project Server workflow for Demand Management" with project server 2013 just like is explained

    Thanks in advance,

    Hi Alexander,I have seen that error when the workflow manager has not been registered correctly with the PowerShell command - that should be in the docs referenced - or
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj663115.aspx.  Let me know if that doesn't appear to be the issue here and I can dig deeper.  Best regards,  Brian

  • SQLException: Insert failed

    Hi,
    I am facing problem with inserting values into table.I am using Weblogic 8.1 sever with Oracle at backend.I have written 2 JSP's one is simple registeration form containing 48 values filled by the user.After filling values ,on click of Save button my second jsp comes up with JDBC connection & PreparedStatement.But, my SQL insert fails due to not connected with DB.I am putting some code of JSP,Plz,go through it & help me.
    <%
    String error;
    String forbazaar = request.getParameter("forbazaar");
    String section = request.getParameter("section");
    String region = request.getParameter("region");
    try
    Connection con =
    DriverManager.getConnection("weblogic.jdbc.oracle.OracleDriver:B2B ConnectionPool"); String sql = ("INSERT INTO PANT_VENDOR_APPLICATION VALUES(?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?)");
    PreparedStatement ps = con.prepareStatement(sql);
    ps.setString(1,forbazaar);
    ps.setString(2,section);
    ps.setString(3,region);
    ps.executeUpdate();
    ps.close();
    con.close();
    catch(SQLException sqle)
              error = "SQLException: Insert failed";
              throw new SQLException(error);
    %>
    Thanks.
    Vaish...

    Assuming that that is a proper URL, for your weblogic connection pool, your problem is not in this code. It's either in the place you set up the connection pool, the network (your program can't connect to the database), or the database itself (not running, for example).

Maybe you are looking for
