PI unable to generate XLSX file

Hello Experts,
I have one scenario where I have to generate ".XLSX" file and I have followed the below post by Aashish Sinha.
Convert incoming XML to Excel or Excel XML – Part 1 - XSLT Way
The output file is generated with ".xlsx" however while we are trying open the file,it is saying that the file is corrupt.If we change the extension manually to ".xls" then it opens,though it gives a warning. We need to generate a proper ".XLSX" file which could be opened without any warning.
Can any one advise if there is any way to have that? Appreciate your help!!
Note:I tried the JAVA mapping and got same problem.
Regards,
Arijit

Hi Arijit
The link I have provided has the code . Only you need to use them inside a java mapping.
You can find thousands of blog on Java mapping in SAP PI.
This is simple format of java mapping
import com.sap.aii.mapping.api.AbstractTransformation;
import com.sap.aii.mapping.api.StreamTransformationException;
import com.sap.aii.mapping.api.TransformationInput;
import com.sap.aii.mapping.api.TransformationOutput;
public class JavaMapForHemant extends AbstractTransformation {
  public void transform(TransformationInput arg0, TransformationOutput arg1)
  throws StreamTransformationException {
  try {
  } catch (Exception e) {
  e.printStackTrace();
  } // end of transform
You need to write your code inside the transform method.

  • Adogjf Unable to generate jar files under JAVA_TOP error while patching

    Hi,
    I'm upgrading my version of Java from 1.3.1_19 to 1.5.0_17. I downloaded the jdk-1_5_0_17-linux-i586.bin file and unpackaged it to /u0/<SID>/<SID>db/10.2.0. It unpackaged it to a new directory jdk1.5.0_17 (/u0/<SID>/<SID>db/10.2.0/jdk1.5.0_17), whereas the old version is in a directory jdk (/u0/<SID>/<SID>db/10.2.0/jdk).
    Having done that I had to run an interoperability patch (4372996). Upon running this patch I received an error at the end:
    adogjf() Unable to generate jar files under JAVA_TOP
    There were no other errors.
    I think the problem has to do with where my new java version is located but I'm not sure. I'm thinking that it's still looking under the old JAVA_TOP (/u0/<SID>/<SID>db/10.2.0/jdk) when I want it to look under the new JAVA_TOP (/u0/<SID>/<SID>db/10.2.0/jdk1.5.0_17). So, should I move the contents from the new directory (jdk1.5.0_17) to the old directory (jdk) or is there a way to 'point' it to the new JAVA_TOP.
    Please let me know if I'm totally off base and there's another solution. We're currently on EBS 11.5.10.2, DB 10.2.0.4 and RHEL 4 Update 5.
    Thanks,
    Lia.

    Here you go. Hope this helps you to help me :-). Thanks.

    I see no problem with your batch file, and the messages
    proceed properly. To troubleshoot this further, I suggest
    you read the email (currently adjacent) titled:
    "Error using MIF doclet to create PDFs".
    It describes several different approaches, including
    generating PS and using Distiller to generate PDF,
    or trying dzbatcher with -v option to echo each
    command to see where it stops.
    Please let us know your results, as this seems to be
    a common problem.

  • Unable to generate PDF file from reports

    Hi,
    After running the report when I tried to generate the output to pdf file, I see the number of pages being generated again, I dont see any file being created although it prompts for the file name. Any suggestions
    Thanks in Advance

    I dont see any output pdf file being generated, I have seen in all the folders and when I click the Generate to File option, it prompts me for the file name and the path for the file and then the report runs again on the screen instead of generating the file.

    Hi Everyone,
    I know there is a seperate thread about a similar issue
    Namely Upload of XLSX File using XLS2COLLECTION
    But the error message in that thread is different to what we are getting,
    When trying to upload an XLSX file in Apex 4+ and the 2.0EA listener we get the following error message.

    Any help will be great for me.

    Subhasis,
    The $TUXDIR/locale/ language_name directory must exist for Tuxedo to be able to find message catalogs.
    The NLS:4 message notes that TUXDIR=/opt1/oracle/tu, but TUXDIR in the UBBCONFIG file is /opt1/oracle/tuxedo11gR1, so it is likely that there is an incorrect setting of TUXDIR in the environment.
    language_name is equal to the value of $LC_ALL, if set, or the value of $LC_MESSAGES, if set, or the value of $LANG, if set, or "C" if none of these environment variables is set. As MBriz has suggested, you should either make $TUXDIR/locale/en_US.UTF-8 a symbolic link to $TUXDIR/locale/C or you should set an appropriate language-related environment variable to "C".

  • Unable to generate trace file

    Hi,
    I have written the stored procedure for starting sql trace on a given session for say n number of seconds.

    select username into v_user
    from v$session
    where sid= v_sid and

    dbms_system.set_sql_trace_in_session(v_sid,v_serial#,true);
    if seconds is null then
    duration := 60;
    else
    duration := seconds;
    end if;
    dbms_lock.sleep(duration);
    dbms_system.set_sql_trace_in_session(v_sid,v_serial#,false);
    dbms_output.put_line ('Tracing Stop Time: '|| TO_CHAR(SYSDATE, 'MM-DD-YYYY HH24:MI:SS'));

    where name = 'user_dump_dest';
    dbms_output.put_line('Trace Directory: ' || dump_dest);
    exception
    when no_session_found then
    dbms_output.put_line('No session found for sid and serial# specified');
    END start_trace;
    The above procedure compiles successfully and when I call it from sql prompt it gives me the message that the pl/sql procedure was completed successfully and all put_line statements are displayed.
    Real problem comes when I check udump for the trace file. I can not find it there. It seems all the statements in the procedure are executed successfully except dbms_system.set_sql_trace_in_session(v_sid,v_serial#,true) and dbms_system.set_sql_trace_in_session(v_sid,v_serial#,false) for some strange reasons.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Thanks for the reply.
    I do not get any error message. The following is the output:

  • Unable to generate WSDL file in quality server in SOAMANAGER

    Hi Experts,
       I have developed a webservice in DEV  and generated the wsdl file in soamanager and it works fine. Now when i transport it to QAS webservice gets transported  ( SE80 i can see it  ) and in soamanager when i go to generate the wsdl file for QAS server it is not allowing me to do it.  In soamanager when you click on 'Open WSDL document for selected binding'  nothing happens. In the same screen it says ''Services: 0 / Endpoints: 0 '' .
       In SICF i see the webservice name however  below that i dont see any nodes extending  but in DEV i see the client name and once again the webservice name in the below nodes.  It appears as below in DEV
    /default_host/sap/bc/srt/rfc/sap/zfi_customer_balance_sms/555/zfi_customer_balance_sms/
    But in QAS it appears as below
    /default_host/sap/bc/srt/rfc/sap/zfi_customer_balance_sms
    I have also transported the SICF entry to QAS ie right click on the webservice, click on Obj Directory entry  and put it in a TP and transport.  Even then the nodes dont appear in QAS.
    I am doubting wheather some services need to be activated in SICF.  I just need to generate the wsdl file in QAS and later in PRD.
    Any help on this will be greatly appriciated.
    Thanks
    Govind

    Hi Govind,
    To get the web service working in DEV you configured an endpoint for it using SOAMANAGER right?
    You need to do the same endpoint configuration again in QAS & PRD once you transport it there. When you transport the web service between the environments the endpoint configuration in SOAMANAGER isn't transported as well. You need to repeat the configuration exercise each time you transport the web service.
    If you are transporting lots of web services then there is functionality to do mass configuration of these web services.

  • Unable to generate XML file

    Hi Gurus,
    I am generating one sample xml file in one of the designated location on the server. The xmldir directory is provided with all the necessary privileges. But when I am executing the pl/sql script for generating the xml file, it is throwing 'ORA-29285: file write error'.
    Any permissions do I need to set,while googling I found there are certain permissions need to be set. But I've given full access on the directories. Please let me know what exactly is missing.
    Thanks for your help in advance.

  • EhP1 - Unable to create XML file in Solman

    Hi all,
    I need some assistance
    I am trying to upgrade our XI system to EhP1 - SP04. I use Maintenance Optimizer in our Solution Manager (SAP EHP 1 for SAP Solution Manager 7.0) to select the necessary files for my upgrade. The XI system has been set up in SMSY an given a Logical Component. Also, added to the Solution Landscape. I use the SAPehpi-installer to upgrade XI.
    However, when I get to section three, I am supposed to provide the SMSDXML.xml file. This file is not created by our Solution Manager for some reason. The file, as I understand it, is supposed to be generated automatically during Maintenance Optimizer. But when I check the EPS and EPS/in folder of our solman, the file is not to be found. I have also checked the parameter DIR_EPS_ROOT in RZ11. It is correct. The authorization has been set to full on group Everyone, just to check if that could be the problem, but with no luck.
    When I use transaction /n/tmwflow/mopz_stack i am able to view the XML file (I assume that it is the correct file), but any attempt to copy the text displayed, and to save it as an XML-file has not resulted in any success.
    The only thing I have to go on, is a warning displayed in Maintenance Optimizer, stating: "Warning - No SLM configured in system - <SID>. Every document etc, Iu2019ve read sais that one can use Software Lifecycle Manager as an alternative to Download Basket. I havenu2019t seen SLM listed as a prereq, so I donu2019t believe that this could be the reason why the XML-file is not generated.
    Is there some setup/configuration Iu2019ve missed?
    Any help will be much appreciated!
    Best Regards,
    Stian

    1022704 Upgrade phase EHP_INCLUSION and SPSTACK_REQUEST
    1277035 Solution Manager: EHP4 product data missing

    I downloaded the SPSTab.xml from SMP, but it didnt work. It gave an error: "The selected configuration file ("C:EHP1SPSTab.xml") is not usable. Reason: "Stackfile not found""
    I have used the dockument in the link you provided as a basis for my upgrade. So I still need this to work in order to upgrade my XI Netweaver 7.0 to Enhancement Package 1...
    In the document you provided:
    Section 3 SAP Solution Manager
    3.1 Support Package Level of SAP Solution Manager (Check - Mine is EHP1)
    3.2 System Landscape (SMSY) of SAP Solution Manager (Check - as stated above in opening post)
    3.3 SAP Solution Manager Maintenance Optimizer (Check)
    3.4 SAP Solution Manager Troubleshooting: (Check)
    3.4.4 No Stack Configuration File is generated: This is the core of my problem... I have read the notes listed, and run the IMG activity under Maintenance Optimizer, as per note 1134872. I get an warning stating "SAP ChaRM auto-configuration warnings" This could be the source of the problem, but in the thread Re: Message no. IMG_FASTCONF028  in Charm SolManiac says that it is nothing to worry about.
    So to summarise:
    I an still unable to generate XML file in Solman, and I am uable to get the XML downloaded from SMP to work with SAPehpi.
    BR
    Stian
    (EDIT: I am however not shure if the settings under SMSY etc are 100% correct, but in my mind, that should prevent Maintenance Optimizer from generating the XML file)

  • Generating Postscript file using (psl132.prt) and Text file in one go

    Actually my requirement is to have soft copy , postscript files in a single shot for character mode report because the report fetches data from the table then deletes the data.
    - I am able to generate softcopy, and postscript files same using distribution file for Bitmap report as shown below :-
    [RWRUN REPORT=C:\Report\R_TEST.RDF userid = test / test @ test DISTRIBUTE=YES DESTINATION=C:\Report\bRep.dst   ERRFILE=C:\Report\Final\report.err
    The brep.dst file for bitmap report is as follows:-
    DEST1: DESNAME=C:\Report\tpdf.pdf DESTYPE=File DESFORMAT=PDF COPIES=1 LEVEL=Report
    DEST2: DESNAME=C:\Report\test.prn DESTYPE=File DESFORMAT=BITMAP COPIES=1 LEVEL=Report
    But in case of Char mode report i am able to generate text file but i am unable to generate postscript file for using printer definition file. The commands used are as follows :-
    RWRUN REPORT=C:\Report\R_TEST.RDF userid = test / test  @ test DISTRIBUTE=YES MODE=CHARACTER   DESTINATION=C:\Reports\cRep.dst ERRFILE=C:\Report\Final\report.err
    The crep.dst file for char report is as follows :-
    DEST1: DESNAME=C:\Report\tpdf.text  DESTYPE=File DESFORMAT=ASCII   COPIES=1 LEVEL=Report
    DEST2: DESNAME=C:\Report\test.prn  DESTYPE=File DESFORMAT=prt132.prn COPIES=1 LEVEL=Report  (This option does not work is there any work around to make it work) ]
    I am getting an error. it there any work around for this or there is any other solution.
    Is there any other way i convert my text file to postscript file or viceversa...thanks

    Next thing is how to use it:

    close_file;
    end;
    Don't forget: these procedures are all part of the gen_xl_xml package.
    To call them from outside the package, you have to prefix each procedure name with the package name, like this:
    declare
    k_file constant varchar2(30) := 'YourFile.xls'
    begin
    gen_xl_xml.create_file(k_file);
    -- Call other procedures
    gen_xl_xml.close_file;
    end;

  • Unable to view .XLSX doc

    Hi,
    I have a user that is unable to open xlsx file. Our environment is Office 2007, Win 7, Server '08. Everyone else can access the file except for her. We have verified that she belongs to the correct member groups in AD. And it doesn't matter what PC she tries to access the file from - it seems to be linked to her profile/login.
    We have tried to delete the shortcut, recreate it, change the file extension, verified that the spreadsheet is opening with excel, remove and add her back to the member groups (that have access). I have tried to open the spreadsheet under a different user's name, and e-mailed that copy to her.
    Now, even more interesting is that she can open all other .xlsx files. I'm at a loss as to what else to try here. Any suggestions, please?

    Well one of my coworkers found the fix. Just an FYI for any that were interested. Had to go into Users > "User" > App Data > Roaming > Microsoft > Excel, then delete the files in the folder.
