Pinwheel for every task

I have had my MacBook Pro for just over two years. I am having some major issues of late. It has slowed down significantly. I get the pinwheel for every task, even clicking on the finder window and trying to make it larger, when I enter my password at the startup I get the pinwheel, sometime even just clicking in the field to enter the password I get the pinwheel. Of course this extends all the functions. I rarely have more than two programs running and opening, shutting and using programs takes 5 times or more longer than it used to when I first got my Mac. I have plenty of space on my hard drive , I performed the disk verify funciton and it said the HD appears to be functioning normally so I am not sure what else could be wrong. I have not trash in the trash, I delete all my internet history every time I exit the program Iset that way) so curious as to what else I can try to bring my mac back to some level of normal function.

If this started happening without your having made any changes and without a warning of low disk space, then it's likely that the startup drive, or some other hardware component, is failing. Back up all data immediately, then make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store to have the machine tested.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.

You probably have the Voiceover accessibility feature turned on. It's difficult to navigate as you need to use specific voiceover gestures. The easirest thing to do is connect the phone to iTunes. Select the Summary pane and click the "Configure Universal Access..." button. In the window that opens,select "Neither" in the seeing options and click "OK".

Attachment in PWA for every Task

I have gone through Project Server (PWA) 2013 & created Tasks under Projects. But i am not getting any option to attach document per task like facility in MS Project Pro 2013 for attaching documents. However, we have facility to attach documents which
is located in Project Site in PWA 2013. But i want to attach task wise in PWA.
Also, i tried to attach document in MS Project Pro 2013 as per task & published this Project to PWA 2013. But when i open that published project & looked into Task where i have attached documents that not found in PWA for that task under same Project.
Even not in Project Site documents.
Can anyone suggest what to do in this case?

You can't directly attach a document to a task in PWA/schedule PDP. You have to go through the project site as you already said.
Then how did you attach the document in MS Project Pro? I'd suggest to use the hyperlink column and then display this column in your PWA project detail view.
Note that it should be a consistent enterprise approach, meaning both way described above should not use together. Typically I would not suggest the second method since the project site allows you attaching document to a task and keeping the document in
the site document library with all the sharepoint features.

How to send trigger pulse for every 0.25 sec until user stops the task?

Iam using NI_DAQ PCI 6221 Card for the Data Acquisition.
Can any body please tell me how to send trigger pulse for every 0.25 sec until the user stop the task??
Please suggest me the methods I should use to meet this requirement.

Hi Sindhu,
Am I correct in thinking that you do not want to use your 6221 to output a digital pulse, but that you are getting a digital pulse from somewhere else that you want to use as a trigger for the analog input? And you will have more than one trigger? If this is the case, then it can be accomplished by doing a retriggerable operation. The way that this works is you use the counter on your board to generate the sample clock for your analog input because analog input cannot do retriggerable operations with its own sample clock. You can modify the example GenDigPulseTrainContinuous_DigStart that is in the same location as the example I referenced before to be retriggerable by using the property DAQmxSetStartTrigRetriggerable.
After doing that and testing to make sure that it works, you can setup an analog input task like the example ContAcqVoltageSamples_IntClk but specify the source of the sample clock to be the internal output of the counter you used in the counter portion of your program. If you need help with the terminal names (You will need to use Ctr0InternalOutput for example), you can reference the NI-DAQmx C Reference Help at Start >> Programs >> National Instruments >> NI-DAQ. After doing this, you will acquire the same number of samples as the number of pulses you choose to generate in the counter portion of your code every time a trigger is received.
Also, I have come across an example that does retriggerable analog input using the counter as a sample clock in C++. Either by using this example or modifying the shipping examples as I stated above you should be able to achieve what you are trying to do.

How do I set a reminder for every 20 minutes?

A Windows-to-Mac migrant wants to set a reminder on her MacBook Pro/Mavericks to appear every 20 minutes. In Windows, I used Task Scheduler to launch a text file "Stand up and stretch!" every 20 minutes. It would appear, and after stretching, I'd dismiss the reminder by closing the text file and continue working.
The OS X Reminder app allows for a task to repeat daily, but not every 20 minutes, or even hourly. Also, I think those reminders would pop up on my iPhone, where I DON'T need or want them; I only want them to appear on my computer.
Mavericks includes LaunchD, but from what I'm reading online, this is intended for launching System business (daemons, agents...) at startup, and appears to involve using Terminal to issue Unix commands, which is more "geeky" than I am comfortable with.
In the App Store, there is a LaunchD Task Scheduler, which may be a more straightforward solution; I assume it uses a GUI to set up instructions for LaunchD.
Should I try the "LaunchD Task Scheduler" app? Or is there another, simpler way to launch a text file or other type of reminder every 20 minutes?

Try this application: Coffee Break Pro X for Mac. Get it configured and then add the application to the System/Users & Groups/Login Items preference pane so it starts when you log in to the computer.

IPad Mini... Is it the wrong charger in the box for the task involved?

It seems the 5 Watt charger in the box isn't really man enough for the job? Yes it chargers the iPad mini... but at a snails pace! And just manages to creep in a charge if the Cellular network is still active... It struggles away at about 10% increase in battery for every couple of hours it's stuck sucking juice out the wall socket! Found I can increase the rate of charging by putting in Aircraft Mode... but even so its clearly not the best charger to of supplied?
I've now purchased a 12 Watt wall charger from the Apple Store so the tech guys in store seem to think it'll improve the charging time... As it seem the mini will happily suck away the juice at 10 Watts? So fingers crossed it'll speed things up... I hope so!
If you check out the spec for the 5 Watt wall changer as supplied in the box it covers iPod's iPhones and the iPad Mini... just seems odd to supply a 5 Watt charger when you then try out USB power sources like a car charger that'll supply the 5 Watts but the iPad Mini just displays the 'connected not charging' message next to the battery icon...
And in any case both the 5 Watt & 12 Watt chargers retail for the same price in store... So why not supply the proper tool for the job in the box?
So I've got more testing to do to see if the new 12 Watt kicks life into the process?
Only top tip to speed up a cellular IPad Mini is to switch to Aircraft Mode or power off?

The key to the car charger is to check the specification details... It needs to be 2.1 amps 10 watts... It's ashame you can get the dual jolt griffin in the US online store... As as charger it give you two USB ports both able to supply charger to 2 iPads if you want it to... Some dual charger have one of each capacity ports ie 1x 2.1 amps 10 watt and 1x 1amp 5 watt...
And your best investment with be the 12 watt wall socket charger... Now that little beast will kick *** when it comes to charging you iPad Mini... As I truly don't understand why they ship it with a 5 watt charger... The one in the box barely keeps it stood still if its doing any kind of tasking whilst plugged in...
The only other thing I'd suggest if you want to be fully kitted out is an additional cable so that you can keep one indoors and the spare in the car with the charger?

GP API - remove user dynamically for a task..

I am having dynamic looping for an action, users assigned in every level.
I am able to add user dynamically for an action using:

Change user does not work as it will work only for running actions or tasks, for pending one it will not

but nothing is working.
any idea when we can use them? I think changeTaskProcessor will not work for pending tasks.
I am able to get the activityInstanceID from NWA -> GP Processes, but my GP Process is having dynamic loop where the task will generate depending on levels. How can we get the activityInstanceID of the next task/action?

'09 iMac now randomly stopping with pinwheel for 1/2-1 min

My trusty '09 iMac has started randomly stopping, with pinwheel, for 1/2-1 min. then continuing. Happens from sign-on to internet to opening apps, anytime. Averages every 2-3 min. Other computer, MacAir on network, has no problem. Timemachine backs up to Airport Express tower. Turning off/on has no effect. OS X 10.9.1.

When you next have the problem, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.
If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Each message in the log begins with the date and time when it was entered. Scroll back to the time you noted above. Acrobat XI freezing with every task

Can anyone offer any insight as to why the newly downloaded Acrobat XI might be freezing with every task? I just downloaded it onto a Windows 7 machine from the Creative Cloud for teams. It freezes (spinning circle, nothing in the program operable) particularly when I use any of the Drawing Markup tools. But it has also frozen a few times just trying to scroll to the next page, or save. Any ideas? Is it maybe a graphic card issue? Any help appreciated, thanks!!

I have Acrobat Pro XI and it rarely if ever crashes (Windows Vista). I manipulate things in the Reading Order, Content and Tags Panel frequently. So I'm afraid I can't solve this one. However I would suggest Repair Acrobat Installation whenever there are problems. The interaction between the reading order panel, contents panel and tags panel is a bit wonky. Move something in one, and it will often move around in the other. Sometimes it's not possible to get them all in perfect alignment. If your Pages are set to "Use Document Structure" the AT should use the Tags Panel. So when I can't get the Contents and Tags Panels to Match I defer to the Tags panel.
When things disappear check in the Content Panel. Items at the top of the Panel are beneath those lower down--like layers. You can move things around (shading and borders in tables are what I have the most problem with when running Commonlook and with files saved as PDF from MS Word.) I don't have the opportunity to work in Indesign much. Most of our deliverables come as Word files.

Running a Java Program for every shut down of system

Despite your objective, this is not a Java issue. The real question is "How does one run a program just before system shutdown?"
How you execute such an application is system dependent. Java doesn't know when the system shuts down, only when the JVM shuts down. Unless you're willing to have JVM running the entire time the system is up, you'll need native code to detect system shutdown & launch the notification app.

Adobe Bridge (CS6) - bulk action - JPEG Options must be OKed for every image

Hi all-
I created an action script for a watermark in Photoshop CS6. Then, I ran my script as a bulk action in Adobe Bridge (CS6) against my JPEGs. However, the JPEG Options dialog/window appears for every image in PS. Is there a way to have this automatically OK (and at the highest quality) so that I don't have to sit and click OK over and over?
I am on a Mac btw.

Log Error : Invalid Input Parameter %s for every SAP B1 Client

Hi Everybody,
in my company we have performed SAP B1 upgrade from 2007A to 8.81 PL07, in two steps upgrading first to PL04.
Everything is working fine for all our clients, we are able to post and work normally with the system.
The only annoying problem is an error message coming up every minute for every client in the log:

I couldn't find anything regarding this topic in the forum, only one similar post but unanswered.
We are using two server: one for the licence server and one for the database (the database server is clustered)

Hi Julie,
it must be a triggered action from the system. The only problem is that log files grow very big, few mb every day, and it is a situation that's not very ideal. And also i don't want to turn them off because it is always a good resource for other errors.
It is very strange that SAP hasn't noticed this behaviour and there isn't any note available for the purpose.

Multiple Queries in Workbook - Refresh Screen Shows Up for Every Query

We have multiple queries in a workbook. All of these queries have the exact same selections for the variable selection screen. When all the queries are refreshed once, the selection screen used to show up once and all the queries are refreshed with the same selections.
We were on BI 7.0 and SP10. We recently moved to SP12. Since the SP12 installation, the multiple query refresh pops-up the selection screen for every query. It is nothing like "multiple query refresh" at once since the user has to click "execute" button for every single query. It is interesting to note that the selection screen only contains hierarchy variables and hierarchy node variables. The other variables of selection screen do not show up. I couldn't find any OSS note on this topic. Please let me know if anyone has any comments on this issue. I will assign points to useful posts.

Autocorrection for every keyboard not working in iOS 6

Apple promised at WWDC "Autocorrection for every keyboard". I am using a Bluetooth keyboard on an iPad 2 with iOS 6 and it's not working. The same is true on iPhone 5. I have it enabled in settings and it works with the virtual keyboard.

I have an iPhone 4 with current iOS.
I've noticed this over the past few months. I always notice it on the FB app. My short cuts stop working. I will check email or note. I figured restarting the phone would fix it.
Here's the thing. Obviously I use FB a lot, but this short cut issues never happens in text messages, Whatsapp, or email. Always with FB.
In fact I noticed that I get sluggish typing performance typing using the FB app whether I use the keyboard short cuts or not.
Just wondering if this common among iPhone 4 users.

Dyamic execution of report for every month and data through mail.

We are using ECC6.00 With EHP4. My requirement is to send the list of pending notifications with the list details as appearing in transaction QM10. Every month i am supposed to change the from date and to date for example 01.07.2010 to 31.07.2010 for the month July.
How can i make system calculate the from and to date for every month and send mail.
I can schedule the job using SM36 but how to make system calculate the from and to date dynamically for every month. i.e., for august system should calculate date 01.08.2010 to 30.08.2010 automatically as the next month is reached.
Experts help required.

1. You need to create a variant.
2. In this blank out the date and give all the required values which will filter for the Pending nofitications like notificaiton type, status, etc.
3. Then click save.
4. When you click save it will give you an option to save as variant.
5. Now in the Variant Attributes screen give the variant name/meanting
6. In the below you will get a "objects for selection screen)
7. In the same you will get the filed name calle d" notification date"/
8. Here Move the curson to the righ side you will find the selection variable, change to D-Dyanamic date calcuation and after that right side you will see one more column for the name of variable(input using only f4)
9. Here press f4,
10. then ypou get a pop up for selection varaible. there first Put "I: for current date and also 'I" for hte Current date +/- ??? days
in this give 30 days.
11. You can also use other function her.e
Now once the variant is created then you have to schedule a job for this program + variant in the sm36 and in the distribution list
you need to mention the email
