Something to do with being within <?for-each:.//R2?> ?
I can change the xml to do what I want but that seems un-necessary!

Pivot table alternating row colors
Hello,
In ADF 11g, is it possible to format a pivot table so row colors will alternate? 1st row gray, second row white, 3rd row gray and so on..
Can i determine which row is a DataCellContext object in ?
Thanks.Any ideas ? I still could not find a way to give alternate row colors to a pivot table.

Above Average Conditional Formatting in Pivot Table off Row Total
I have a pivot table where the months are column labels and the actual issues are Row labels. This is inverted from a normal pivot table where the months are usually the row labels.
Basically I want the table to look at the value in the Values cells to look at the row Average instead of the column Average. Is there a way to do this?
I've highlighted all my Value cells (showing the sum of the issue for a specific month) and then applied the Above Average conditional formatting selecting 'All cells showing "Average of #of Tickets" values for "Issue" and "Month".
This works where the cells' value is greater than the columns average, but I want it to look at the row average instead.
Is this possible? I thought it be simple, but I can't figure it out. The table will grow every month width wise and possibly adding new issues each month.Hi Vetsrini, thanks for the reply. I'm using the crosstab feature of BI Publisher template builder in MS Word to create the pivot table. I have a field called ACTIVITY as the row, and I want to bold the font and set the color as red if the ACTIVITY equals to certain text (such as if ACTIVITY = 'A' then bold & red). Can you please tell me how that can be achieved? I tried using the conditional formatting feature of the template builder, but it only works if I use it in a table, and not in pivot table.
Thanks a lot. -
Percentage calculation in pivot table per row
Hello all,
I do calculate two fields in a pivot table. First calculated field is the # of activities per user (standard SoD reporting field). Second calculated field is the # of activities per user with a certain classification (customized pick list field that is converted in a from a text value to a integer value ==> CASE WHEN Activity.Type = 'Call' THEN 1 ELSE 0 END).
In the pivot table I do show both vlaues as a sum. I would like to calculate the percentage per row per user.
Example:
User - # activities - # calls - percentage
User XY - 80 - 40 - 50%
Thanxs for your help
Elmarhave you # Call column look like
sum(CASE WHEN Activity.Type = 'Call' THEN 1 ELSE 0 END) -- column2
create the percentage column with # activities / column2
under the column property of the percentage column --> Data Format -->Treat Numbers As --> percentage.
leave the Aggregation Role as default on all columns.
Hopefully, I didn't miss anything.

Hi there,
Is it possible to subtract the values of two rows in a pivot table and show as the third row if we can assure that there will always be only two rows in the pivot table?
Pivot table view:
h2. Year M01 M02 M03 Q01 Total_
*2009* 493 437 529 *1459*
*2010* 599 579 643 *1,821*
Problem: I am trying to generate another row in the bottom (In the place of Grand Total) and show the result of M01-M02.
Underlying data columns:
Year, Month, Quarter, #Orders
Underlying Filter: (this assures 2 years)
Year IN "Previous Year", "Current Year"
Version: OBIEE 10
thanks!
Edited by: obitime on Dec 28, 2011 9:45 PMInstead of using a pivot table that way, create seperate measures using the filter function:
current year amt = filter(measure using year=[current year])
previous year amt = filter(measure using year=[current year] - 1)
change amt = filter(measure using year=[current year]) - filter(measure using year=[current year] - 1)
You may want to define [current year] using a prompt which sets a variable.
A second option is to write a formula like case when year = [current year] then 'Current Year' else 'Previous Year' end, and use that in your pivot table in place of Year. That way you can create your calculated item formula on something more dynamic.

Interactive form in WD4A - dynamic table - adding rows
Hi,
I have a problem with dynamic table in WD4A. User can add row to table by clicking a button on form, but added rows are not transfered to mapped context node in my web dynpro application. I have made a lot of searches on SDN and I have found a lots of threads, but no answer.
Maybe this should be a way:
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/9121. [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] - Read adobe data manually and create context element manualy too.. But I think this should be a part of webdynpro/interactive forms framework.
Thanks for any answer!Hi, many thanks for your answer, so what do you think is the best solution for adding rows by user to interactive form's dynamic table?
Manually read xml data during submit by this way: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/9121. [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] ?
Or is there better solution for this? (any link to some examples, blogs, etc...)
Many thanks for any answer! -
How to move excluded items into Measures in OBIEE 11g Pivot Table
Hi All,
Need your help. Previously I have about 25 facts in my pivot table as rows. Now I need to add about 10 more. Adding new criteria only put the items into Excluded section. How can I move all these new items at once to the end of the existing facts? What I can do now is moving them one by one, and in the middle of existing facts, then move it again, because I can point my cursor to the end of them directly.
Thanks a lot,
Gajah.I've tried to drag the fact heading, but I can't point my cursor to the end of existing list of facts (unfortunately they are all in the same fact group name). Do you have any suggestion on how to put the new facts at the end of the list?
Thanks. -
ADF row header and delete all problem
Hi,
I am using JDeveloper 11.1.14 and ADF-Bc in my project.
In one of my page I display a simple table and a button which deletes the selected records.
I dragged and dropped the 'Delete' operation from the Data Control view object onto the bindings.
The below method iterates through selected rows and calls the 'Delete' operation which removes the current row.
The Code for delete is as below
public void deleteSelectedRows(ActionEvent actionEvent) {
RowKeySet selectedRows = richTable.getSelectedRowKeys();
Iterator selRowIter = selectedRows.iterator();
RowSetIterator empRSIter = voIter.getRowSetIterator();
while (selRowIter.hasNext()) {
Key key = (Key)((List)selRowIter.next()).get(0);
Row currentRow = empRSIter.getRow(key);
if (currentRow != null) {
voIter.getViewObject().setCurrentRow(currentRow);
OperationBinding operation =
getBindingContainer().getOperationBinding("Delete");
if (operation != null) {
operation.execute();
I have added row header as column in my jsp page inside af:table. ex: <af:column rowHeader="true" width="12" id="c16"/>
The problem is that if I manually select all rows[using control key] and click on 'Delete' button, the method is working fine[all records are being deleted].
But If select all records either thorugh ctrl+A or on click of top of row header, all records are being selected in U.i,but the delete operation is not deleting
all the records.It deletes only part of the records.[Ex: say 7 out of 10 records being displayed].
Please let me know where I am doing wrong. or if it has something to do with range size.
Regards,
Praveen
Note: I have multi selection enabled on the tableHi Frank,
I have few more observations to add.
In the below code, if the row removal is commented out, then the selected row count(i.e size ex: 9)
and the index counter printed are correct.[i.e for example index counter printed will be 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9]
RowKeySet rowKeySet = (RowKeySet)richTable.getSelectedRowKeys();
System.out.println("\nSIZZE"+rowKeySet.size());
CollectionModel cm = (CollectionModel)richTable.getValue();
int index = 1;
for (Object facesTreeRowKey : rowKeySet)
cm.setRowKey(facesTreeRowKey);
JUCtrlHierNodeBinding rowData =
(JUCtrlHierNodeBinding)cm.getRowData();
System.out.println("index"+index);
index++;
// rowData.getRow().remove();
But when row removal is present then the index counter displayed is also wrong.. [ex: 1,2,3,4,5,6]
Same behavior is observed with 'Delete' operation also.
Regards,
Praveen -
Hi,
I have created a request in Pivot Table. Rows section Include Product Domain column and Columns Section Includes Month ;
measures section contains columns gross, profit, loss and YTD %. I want YTD% column to appear after Dec month and it is should come only once.
In my request it is getting repeated for every month.
It should look like following way,
-------------------------------|-------Jan-----|------Feb------|-------Mar------|-------Apr------|--------YTD %
=========|======|========|========|=========|=========|-------------------
-------------------|-Gross
Prod Dom 1-----|-Profit
-------------------|-Lossyou can include month to measures and other column row level and apply aggregation

Error in displaying pivot table
Hi everyone,
I have't seen any thread that gives me an answer to my problem.
I have OBI SE 10.1.3.4 on Windows Server 2003.
In physical layer i've table REQUEST:
Pack varchar,
Seg varchar,
State varchar,
SUM_ACT double,
SUM_PRE double.
I mapped REQUEST into two tables in Business Model and Mapping:
DIM_REQUEST:
Pack varchar PK,
Seg varchar PK,
State varchar PK
FAC_REQUEST:
Pack varchar FK,
Seg varchar FK,
State varchar FK,
SUM ACT double, -- Sum()
SUM PRE double, -- Sum()
PERC double
PERC is a new logical column: +((SUM ACT)/(SUM PRE))*100+
Then I mapped FAC_REQUEST into the Presentation layer.
In Answers I create pivot table with:
Rows:
Pack
Seg
Measure Labels
Columns:
State
Measures:
SUM ACT double
SUM PRE double
PERC
Everything is fine, but when I try to add to the pivot table SUM: Columns->Sum (After or Before), I got the following error:

OBIEE: Pivot table chart is not proper when GOURL is on Measure Column
Hi All,
I a facing an issue with Pivot table chart drill.
Pivot Table columns:
Row description column in row section.
Column description (Periods) in column section and
A Number format amount column in Measure Section (In BMM it is not defined as a measure column).
GOURL written on the Measure column to enable the drill in Pivot table data.
When I click on chart the pivoted reasults Graph: Vertical Bar, Type: Default, Style: Rectangle.
It shows the row description in X axis but the amount is not shown properly (it just shows 1,2,3..numbers on Y axis instead of the amounts which are in lakhs) on Y axis and alos there is not vertical bars showing up.
Any help in this regard is very helpfull.

Hi all,
I have a report being viewed as a pivot table.
Sample Table data:
Continent _____Region______Country ___Dollars
Europe________UK/Ireland_____UK___________50
Europe________UK/Ireland_____Ireland_______100
My pivot is configured as follows:
Rows
Continent_____Region_____Country
Measures
Dollars
I have done the following:
-Added Totals for Countinent and Region.
-Continent and Region are hidden. (Totals for continent and region still remain and are visible in the Country Column ...the end-User wants Continent, Region, and -Countries to be in on column of data...)
-I have also renamed the Country column in the pivot to be Geo Location.
-Finally, certin countries require binning...For example, I have a bin on UK/Ireland in the country column...and called the result UK/Ireland.
Here are the results:
Geo Location_____Dollars
UK/Ireland_________150
UK/Ireland Total____150 -------------------------->(This is the total for regions...)
Europre Total______{some big number} ------->(This is the total of continents...)
In the above case, I have a Region named the same as my bin of two countries. User only wants to see one instance of UK/Ireland. Is there some magic to hide the Binned UK/Ireland country without affecting the total for the region?
Worst case - user sees duplicate totals for those binned countries that end up with equivalent names to the Region...but I would love to be able to hide certain bins...
Any Ideas?
Thanks!!!

I see three locations to hide...
1) the calculated column dialog...hide details
2) geolocation row...more options button...hidden
3) geolocation row...more options button...hide details
what one are you referring to? I have tried all three..and no cigar.
The pivot table is still showing my calcuated item of UK/Ireland...as well as the UK/Ireland Total which is coming from the total on the region column. hmm
One option could be to just output country..and create calculated items for each region and continent that existis...which would end up being tedious (are we limited to the number of caluclated items) :)
I would prefer using a combination of my existing continent, regioin, country hierarcy...and mix with the ability to hide custom groups I define.
Thanks again,

SSRS matrix click on the count like a pivot table to get details
Hi,
I am trying to create a matrix report to work similar to a pivot table, where when a user clicks on the count, the details are displayed. When I add the action to open a sub-report, how do I pass in the parameter values for the group that was selected? meaning
if in row group- I have company name, and column group I have job title, when the count gets clicked, i need to pass in the company name for the row that was clicked along with the column group. How can I proceed?
Thanks in advance!Hi NewCSharpUser,
According to your description, you have created a main report which contains company name as row group and job title as column group. And a drill through report which contains company name as a parameter to filter the data. When you click the data region
in the main report, you want to display corresponding details in the drill through report filtered by the company name, right?
In your scenario, you could add a “Go to report” action, then specify a parameter to filter the drill through report. Please refer to steps below:
1. Design the main report like below:
2. Preview the report.
Reference:
Drillthrough Reports (Report Builder and SSRS)
If the method couldn't meet your requirement, please share you report design and expected results for our analysis.
If you have any question, please feel free to ask.
Best regards,
Qiuyun Yu
