Pl/sql editor navigation bar

hi!
Is it possible to have the navigation bar for pl/sql editor in Visual Studio inside an Oracle Database Project?
The navigation bar is visible if I open a package body from server explorer, but not if I open the generated create script.
The navigation bar option is disabled in Tools / Options / Text Editor / Oracle pl/sql
Any hints?

Create an application item and select your real user name into it within the post authentication process (part of your authentication process). Reference &APP_ITEM. instead of &APP_USER.

To modify the Compact view
To maximize the vertical height of the Outlook window you can use Compact Navigation. We can change the setting by creating the
ABCompact registry key. To do this, please follow the steps:
1. Press Windows key + R to open the Run command, type regedit
and press Enter to open the Registry Editor.
2. Locate the following registry path:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Outlook\Options
3. Right-click on the Options folder and select NEW > KEY, name it
WunderBar.
4. Select the WunderBar key, right-click on it and select
NEW > DWORD (32-bit) Value and name it ABCompact.
Value name: ABCompact
Value type: DWORD (32-bit)
Value: 1 to tick the Compact Navigation;

To modify the Maximum number of visible items
To change how many views appear on the Navigation Bar, you need to change the number for Maximum number of visible items by modifying the
NumBigModulesAB registry key.

The key doesn’t exist by default. When the value is set to 1, only

By default, the string value is set to 1,1,1,1,1,1,1,0,0.
1 means the view is turned on while 0 means the view is turned off. Moreover, the value correspond one-to-one with the views, for example, the first “1” correspond to
Mail, and the second “1” correspond to
Calendar… By default, the eighth and ninth view is turned off. The eighth is
Journal and I have no idea what the ninth number stands for. You can open Journal by pressing Ctrl+8, but if you want it to appear on Navigation Bar, you can change the eighth “0” to “1”.
To modify the view order
If you want to switch the positions of Mail and Calendar, you’ll need to modify the
ModuleOrderAB string.

The default order for the Navigation Bar is:

In the registry string there are 9 numbers (1~9), let’s just ignore 9. So, there are 8 numbers left and each number has some relationships to each Navigation item.
Here is the logic:
There are 8 Navigation Options. Let’s say ‘Mail’ is Nav1, Calendar is Nav2, People is Nav3, …, Shortcut is the Nav7 and Journal is Nav8.
Meanwhile, there are 8 positions to put those 8 Navigation items, we name them
position1 to position8, from left to right.
For example,    CALENDAR TASKS PEOPLE FOLDERS MAIL NOTES SHORTCUTS
Journal
ModuleOrderAB=    5
1      3
2    6
4
7
8
The number “5” is in the first position of the ModuleOrderAB string and it takes
position1. The default navigation option for position1 is
Mail.
So, “5” means put Nav1 (Mail) on position5.
“1” is on position2, default navigation item on
position2 is Calendar. It means put Calendar on
position1.
So, “3” means put People on position3; “2” means put
Task on position2… and so on.

There isn't a built in way to do that since all the navigation toolbars are on one toolbar.
You can restore this functionality by installing the Classic Theme Restorer add-on

Navigation bar moves

I've inserted a Flash navigation bar to the left of the
larger photos on my galleries. It's positioned just fine for a
panoramic but when I load another image, a vertical or full frame
horz. the nav bar moves up or down according to the size of the
photograph. I would like to have it anchored at a set distance from
the thumbnail images in the upper bar so it's not bouncing up and
down.

Put your navbar in a div above the gallery itself, center and
style it as
you wish .. then put the gallery in a div under that and it
should stay
within its div without interfering with the navbar.

Add Image in the navigation bar of Help page

Hi,
I wanted to add image next to to the Search in the Help page navigation bar as in snapshot below:
I wanted to add an image i.e the the logo next to above button in navigation bar. I tried adding , howevr could only add as Header, not right in the navigation pane. Correct me if I m wrong, the navigation control can be configured while generation web output. I coudnt find any other option to do this.

Sorry Colum, I think you are wrong. That looks exactly like a WebHelp Search dialog.
Pallavi, I am thinking the answer for you may be a simple one. Use the WebHelp skin editor. There you should see an option to choose the image used for the Go button.
I'm not exactly sure what version you are using. But I'll insert a screen capture of RoboHelp 7 below.
My thought here is that you could create an image that includes your company logo along with the Go button. Then use that image for the Go button. Sure, both the company logo as well as the Go button would be clickable, but it should do the job, no?

How to Incorporate "fade" Into the Navigation Bar with iWeb?

I started wondering about and exploring this topic in another thread. I would like to make the navigation bar shine brightly and then slowly fade whenever the cursor overlaps the navigation buttons. Does anyone have any idea how to do this? For an example of what I'm looking for, please visit Neonsky.com. This company is a website builder that has, as one of its features, the fading navigation bar option that I'm looking to incorporate into iWeb. Just look at some of their featured websites for an example. I also found the following doing a google search. Any thoughts and ideas of how to get this feature on my iWeb designed website would be helpful. Thank you.

Leave all files in the folder as you downloaded them. Drop the index.html file on the browser icon. You will then see what the menu will look like when published on a page. Edit the index.html file to your needs. Your edits will be shown in the browser window (save file upon edit - don't worry, you can still undo in most editors - and refresh the browser window).
If required, also edit the main.css and image files.
When done, copy the contents of the index.html file into a HTML snippet in iWeb. Position the snippet to exactly where you want it to be (height and width accordingly) and publish. Upload the other files manually and make sure that their path on the iDisk/server matches the path mentioned in the index.html and main.css files.
As you will have gathered, you need to understand some HTML and CSS. You may acquire understanding and knowledge by trial and error.

Alias in Navigation bar?

I suspect the answer is no, but I'll ask anyway.
Having a site with lots of pages, I have sub-divided them into sub-sites on theme. This works quite well for me, until I want to call a page from a sub-site. Links are fine, but of course when that page loads, my link to the Home page is lost.
I have seen the suggestions about tricking the navigation menu with blank pages and pasting content, but this does not really suit due to the issues of content being overwritten if changes are made.
At the moment I get round this by creating a duplicate of the Home page and moving that to the sub-site. Amazingly the links all work OK (I think).
Naturally, what would be really cool is the ability to paste an alias to the Home page in the sub-site.
Has anyone found a way round this?

It actually wouldn't be nearly as hard as what I put in that first link above.
Let's say you have two sites, HomeSite and SubSite
You want HomeSite to have a nav bar link to SubSite/Openingpage.html and you want the SubSite nav bar to have a link to HomeSite/Openingpage.html
1. In iWeb:
Create a dummy page in HomeSite called "SubSite"
Create a dummy page in SubSite called "HomeSite"
Make sure the dummy pages are included in the nav bar.
Put something like "If you have reached this page, then I am in the process of updating the site. Normally, clicking Homesite/Subsite in the navigation bar would take you to my Homesite/Subsite. CLICK HERE to visit my Homepage and/or Subsite." (CLICK HERE = a text link to HomeSite/Openingpage)
Publish your site.
(Question: Are you publishing to .Mac or to a folder?)
2. Find your html files.
Go to iDisk/Web/Sites/iWeb/Sitename/Pagename.html
(If you publish to a folder, look in the folder you selected or try looking in your Sites folder of your home folder. )
There are two ways to handle accessing your iDisk.
Method 1:
Turn on local copy of your iDisk in System Prefs, with or without automatic syncing.
If you publish your site via iWeb, now the updated pages exist online but the old pages are on your local iDisk. You need to sync (automatically or manually) to get the new pages on your local iDisk (on your computer).
Then you can open the updated files, make your html changes in Text Edit or whatever program, and SYNC AGAIN (automatically or manually) to update the online version of the site to match what you have just changed on your local iDisk
Method 2:
Mount the iDisk when needed via the "Go" menu in Finder. This is the ONLINE VERSION of your iDisk, not a local copy. When you publish your site via iWeb, the changes INSTANTLY appear on the iDisk on your desktop. If you make html edits or other changes, they appear INSTANTLY online.
I recommend Method 2 - much easier!!!
3. Make the html changes.
You can open the html files generated by iWeb in any text or html editor. In TextEdit, to view the code in an HTML file, choose File > Open and select "Ignore rich text commands." Then locate the .html file (as described in step 2) and click Open.
For all the pages in "Homesite" except for Subsite.html, search for
href="Subsite.html"
Replace with
href="../Subsite/Openingpage.html"
(if you have blog or podcast pages in Homesite you will have to change ../ to ../../ for those pages)
For all the pages in "Subsite" except for Homesite.html, search for
href="Homesite.html"
Replace with
href="../Homesite/Openingpage.html"
(if you have blog or podcast pages in Subsite you will have to change ../ to ../../ for those pages)
Now open Homesite/Subsite.html
Find
</head>
Replace with
<META HTTP-EQUIV="refresh" content="0;URL=”../Subsite/Openingpage.html">
And open Subsite/Homesite.html
Find
</head>
Replace with
<META HTTP-EQUIV="refresh" content="0;URL=”../Homesite/Openingpage.html">
If someone gets to these pages via Google or something, it will automatically redirect them to the correct page.
And don't forget to save your changes (not Save As, just Save)!!!
4. Remember, if you make a change to a page like this post-publishing, and later re-publish, you have to make the html changes again! Set up a Find/Replace command in MassReplaceIt and you can do this very quickly. You can save your queries so you can make all of your changes with one click the next time you save.

Opening a new window from navigation bar?

I want one of my navigation bar links to open in a new window. There doesn't seem to be a place where i can specify the target="_blank" attribute so I've tried using javascript.
If I enter: "javascript:window.open('URL HERE', 'WINDOW NAME HERE', 'location=yes,toolbar=yes,menubar=yes,directories=yes,status=yes,resizable=yes,scrollbars=yes,height=undefined,width=undefined', false);" into the Icon Target field the new window opens but the parent window displays "[object]" instead of staying on the same page. And if I enter it in the OnClick Javascript field nothing happens.
How can I do this?

SQL Editor / Package Editor?

As a TOAD user, I'm trying to use SQL Developer for the first time and have patch 15.57. Forgive me if this is a common problem, but the issue I have is this. I have package source code in a text file (i.e. version controlled file). I use File->Open and it opens in a SQL editor window. All the buttons, such as Execute Statement, Execute Script etc are greyed out.
If I double click on a package in the tree navigator, it (i.e the database source code) opens in what looks to be more of a package editor, with buttons for compile, debug etc.
I want to be able to open a source file in a package editor and not a SQL editor (just like we do in TOAD and probably every other IDE). Is there a way to do this?

Many thanks. That solves the "greyed out icons" issue.
But how about the package editor issue i.e.I want to open PL/SQL source files in a package editor to enable compilation etc. So far I have as got as far as changing preferences so that SQL Developer recognises the file extensions for package spec. and body. However, I can only assign them as .sql files (opens in SQL editor) or some kind of Java (and when I do that syntax highlighting goes out the window). There's no option to tell SQL Developer that *.pkg is a PL/SQL package specification. I find this quite staggering...

Can't Upload Sample Data to SAP HANA Sandbox-Can't Navigate to SQL Editor

Hi HANA Freaks,
I want to load sample data E2EModelingTutorialData into SAP HANA Sandbox but the following steps are required.
To load the data to your SAP In-Memory Database do the following:
- Copy the files to your database server.
- Copy all SQL statements in the file SQLStatements.txt in an SQL view of your In-Memory Computing Studio
- Modify the load statement according to your file location, e.g.
LOAD FROM '<TO BE CHANGED>\EFASHION_SHOP_FACTS.CTL';
could become
LOAD FROM '/tmp/EFASHION_SHOP_FACTS.CTL';
- Run the SQL statements which takes some minutes
- Verify that all the files *bad.txt are of size 0 which means that the import of all records was successful.
At steps 2 cant navigate to the editor where the SQL statements will be pasted for execution.
Pls can some one give a step / step tutelage to achieve this?

1. Right click on the navigator panel,
2. Click to SQL Editor, where you can write/paste the SQL code
3. Click on the execute link.

Imported buttons to create a navigation bar

Please help! I have converted an imported button to a symbol
and cloned it to create a 7 button navigation bar. Each time I have
cloned the button/symbol I have changed the text and tried to
create a link in the properties inspector. However this link is not
'remembered' and the text on the button requires resizing and
repositioning. I cannot fathom how to do either of these . The
prompt to update all button states only appears once and only
affects that one button, is there another way of updating? Under
the 'active area' tab all 7 buttons appear but superimposed upon
another button (like the updated 1) positioned centrally.

You imported the button from...?
Change the text in the text box on the Property inspector,
not in the

Can someone tell me how to permanently remove the navigation bar so that a user cannot put it back himself. i do not want users to be able to browse to the local c:\ through this navigtion bar. using firefox 7. thanks

i have locked down a client using policy editor for Windows 7.
and i want to restrict a user to one website only via a firefox shortcut on the desktop and to restrict their access to the local system drive which is currently vulnerable using the navigation bar. i know how to right click and rmeove but the user can put this back himself quiet easily and then browse anywhere on the local machine or web.

Even then it won't work.<br />
If the location bar is hidden then you can use Ctrl+L to bring up a pop-up with a location bar.
You would probably need to run Firefox in a sandbox that doesn't allow access to the local file system to get that working properly.

SQL-Editor / Cannot Save PL/SQL Changes to Server

Hello,
I just gave the Oracle DTP Plugin an short try. Cool feature! It would help a lot to have good SQL / PL/SQL development functionality within Eclipse.
During my first test I could not save changes of PL/SQL Code in the SQL-Editor to the server.
Click on the "Floppy-Disk"-Icon gives me an Error-Popup "Save Failed:null"
Right-Click "Save to Server" is doing nothing.
My Tool-Stack is:
Eclipse SDK Version: 3.2.2 / Build id: M20070212-1330
DTP 1.5.0.200707041
Oracle DTP Plugin 1.0.0.464

FF 5.0. Windows 7 The main navigation bar has suddenly started to bring up my igoogle page each time I enter a query. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?m happening.

I suddenly started getting a black igoogle bar when attempting to use the navigation bar at the left side of the browser.
I have added no add on to which I can attribute this.
I started to eliminate the Igoole program at the site but became concerned when it appeared that I might also remove my gmail account, which I had earlier -and separately from Igoogle- created.
I would like to prevent the google page from coming up when I use the left side of the navigation bar.

This is something you need to report via the Feedback button (or use the link on the Help menu).
Firefox 5.0 is still in BETA and not slated for release until June 21.
Reinstall the full version of the current release which is v4.0.1, download link at the top of this forum.

Some add-ons are missing in the tools menu and / or modules and navigation bar

I am running Firefox 20 FRENCH (this is maybe important as all of this below does not appear with the EN version...) on MacOSX 10.6.8.
Symptoms :
- Web Developer toolbar not displayed anymore.
- Xmarks add-ons not displayed in the module bar.
- Icons of other add-ons displayed in the navigation bar ONLY after the first firefox opening i.e. just after system restart. If firefox is closed and re-opened, all the add-ons icons are lost.

Fixes attempts (tried almost everything...) :

- Uninstall Firefox (with profiles folder, cache folders, etc...) then reinstall : no effect
- The only thing that is working is using the ENGLISH version...
This is really annoying because as a web developer I really need the Web Developer extension.
Does anyone has an idea of how to fix this ?
