Placing a cursor in multiplot graph to display all values at the cusor location

We are currently using NI based DAq system which uses LABVIEW 7.1.We would like to know whether it is possible in LABVIEW 7.1 to place a cursor in a graph having multiplot that will disply all the values of parameters at the cursor location?

If I understand the question correctly, yes, LabVIEW can display many parameters of a cursor, including the cursor position (in X and Y coordinates), the array index of the point to which the cursor is locked, the line and point style and thickness, etc. You can also read or set how a cursor locks and whether a cursor is visible or not as well as other properties of cursors. All of this is done using property nodes in LabVIEW and can be done with multiple plots and multiple cursors.

We are currently using LABVIEW 7.1 to display multiple parameters such as speed, temperature, flow rate, pressure etc.in a single graph. All these parameters are being acquired using NI hardware.These parameters are displayed graphically in a single graph. We need to have a vertical cursor(not a cross-hair) such that the digital values of all the above parameters at the cursor location are displayed at the bottom of the graph. We also need that the digital values of all the above parameters should change dynamically when the cursor location is changed. Is it possible to have the above feature using LABVIEW 7.1?

I do not know if you have a question about cursers or your issue in general so I will start with the graph and cursors. Right click on your graph and goto "properties". From here you will see a "cursors" tab. From here you can add cursors, name them, and select their line style to be only vertical.
To have the cursor display the data from multiple plots you will need to use a property node to pickup the X location of the cursor. With this X location you will be able to output the Y data for you different params...pressure, temp, flow etc. You can put these indicators somewhere close to your graph so as the user moves the cursor...the values of your params will change to indicate the current location.

After intalling iOS5, doesn´t display all albuns of the artists, but all albuns are there when you list "albuns".
e.g.: I have 5 Annie Lennox"s albuns. When I list "Artists", Annie Lennox only shows 3 albuns, but when I list "Albuns" I can find all the albuns.
Same for many artits that doesn't appear in the list of "Artists".

Well, I guess no one knew. I eventually found the answer. Go onto settings, music on your ipod and change the show artist by album one to off.

Date range to be displayed & Displaying multiple values on the report

Hi,
I have date range parameters, but I also need it to be displayed it on the report. Is there any way I can display it. E.G If a parameter is created one can drag and drop it on the report if it needs to be displayed on the report, I tried to do the same for the date range parameter but it does not work.
Also If a parameter is created by selecting the option 'Allow Multiple Values', and if you drag and drop it on the report only the first value is displayed and the rest does not show. Has anyone tried this before and been successful in displaying multiple values in the report.

Hi,
A multi-value parameter is actually treated as an array in Crystal Reports.
To display the values selected in the parameter, create a formula from the Field Explorer and type this code:
Join({?ParameterName},",");
Place this formula on the header or the footer sections of the report.
Regarding the date range issue, please follow Sastry's advice and it should work fine.
Make sure you're using the parameter in the Minimum and Maximum functions. For eg: If I was to create a date range parameter called OrderDate, my formula to show the start date would look like this:

Make a copy of the table and produce your Line chart or Bar chart from the copy. Sort the copy into the order you want to see in your chart.
Alternately you could use a Scatter Chart...

Presentation Variable - Display 'All Values' in Report Title

If I create a Dashboard Prompt and then set it equal to a Presentation Variable, I then display this Presentation variable in the report title. For the Dashboard Prompt I allow them the 'All Values' choice, in fact, this is the default.
The issue is displaying this in the Report Title, when it is 'All Value' nothing is display in the title, when they select a value such as 'Region D' then it works and this value will dispaly.
I looked at the documentation and it says you can use a default value, however, setting up that still does not work. It still is blank.
Has anyone seen this issue or know of a workaround? I'd like to have something like 'All Vales' display or is there a condition I could write to set this.

I have did the following in order to achieve your requirement:
As usual, create a request with a column prompted and a dashboard prompt containing that column and set the Presentation Variable (ex: varDept)... bla bla..
Placed them on the Dashboard to generate your issue, discussed...
Now, what I have did is:
1. Created one more Request with the column used on Prompt and specified the Formula to it as:
CASE WHEN '@{Dept}'||'A'='A' THEN 'All Departments' ELSE '@{Dept}' END
Note: Take 2 same columns (and hide one) because we are using above formula which does not contains the Column from any table.
2. Created Narrative View and referenced the above Column.. @2 (in my case).. and specify 1 in 'Rows to Display' field. Do the formatting as required viz., specifying Font size, family....
3. Place this request in between the Prompt and First Request..
Now, you can able to see 'All Departments' if 'All Choices' is selected.

Adobe Bridge CC Smart Collections are not displaying all images in the folder

I'm having an issue with Bridge CC were I setup a smart collection to monitor my new photos. The folder contains over 300 photos, but is only displaying 160. The only condition I set is to have a minium file size of 10kb, so it should bring in all files since most are over 4mb. At first I thought it was a problem with the files themselves (permissions or something) but if I open the folder in bridge it easily displays all of the images easily. Any ideas?

You might want to describe this workflow a bit more. Do you create this from an existing folder or are you adding new photo's?
A Smart Collection does not refreshes it self automatically. You either have to use the edit icon top right of the content panel to save again or deselect and select the collection itself to let it refresh the content.

Displaying All Values from a Multiple Value Parameter

Hi,
Using XI, I have a parameter field that allows the user to enter multiple values Eg. 01, 02, 13, 14. I want to create a formula to display all the values the user has selected.
Is there a way to do this?

I have a select on the user parameter list of values.

I select the option hide the first column in order to show only a list of values and not the row_ids.
I need to display the str_group_name within the header as a title. I insert a field in the header and in source select the name of the parameter p_groupid but the only thing that I get is the row_id value not the name. I use the row_id to pass it on my queries but I need the name value in the header. Any ideas? Please help.

How to display all value of metadata from nodes collection model in content presenter template

first of all the new look of OTN is great.
coming to problem i am facing (i dont know whr to ask here or in portal forum).
i am creating a content presenter template to display list of items.
now as per requirement i need to create a drop down to filter the list.
now while check- in a file author would choose a value in one metadata field lets say xCategory(which is a single select list).
i have to display similar category list on portal to allow user to filter list.
i could hv used view of xCategory but problem is files are targeted to role using ACL. so u see i cant display all category to all users.
also customer wants this whole thing to be Dynamic i.e. they can add value of xCategory later that to could be only for specific role (on portal it should be role specific , author can see whole list not a problem there).
so what i think is if content is given as search result so the category. so now if i can get the all xCategory metedata from 'nodes' collection model in template i can create drop down with out having any additional bean.
somthing like this
#{nodes.xCategory} (but this one is not correct).
please suggest me any solution.

Hi,
you can do all of what you said with JSF. ADF Faces provides drag and drop functionality (have a look at the Web Developer Guide) that allow you to move nodes within a tree. The drag and drop framework sends an event notification to the server with a reference to the changed node.You can also have context menus on a tree node to help users creating, deleting and editing a tree nodes. JavaScript isn't required at all, even if you wanted to drag and drop a row in a table on top of a tree node to create a new tree node.
I just finished a book project in which we explained this usecase. As soon as I find the time, I'll follow up with a blog entry on this as it seems to be a common requirement. However, as mentioned, the web developer guide on OTN explains drag and drop in ADF Faces pretty well.
However, if you choose the "Search" link above, choose JDeveloper and ADF as the product to search for and type drag and drop as the search string, then you get lots of code sample posted in the past to this forum

How to display(binding) values in the table from more than one node?

Of course it is possible to create a table from attributes of more than one node, and in some cases this is still necessary, but you have to do this the hard (manual) way.
If you have a table control, have a look at the properties and the elements belonging to it.
First of all, there is the property "dataSource", which binds to a multiple node (let's name it TableRootNode). This means that for each element of THIS node, one row is created. In each row the data of exactly one element of this TableRootNode is displayed.
Then you have columns in this table. Inside of the columns there is a header and an editor. The editor is the interesting part.
Normally the primary property of this editor is bound to an attribute of the TableRootNode. Then everything works as expected. If it binds to an attribute of a subnode (SUB) of TableRootNode, then in row i the data of the subnode of the i-th element of TableRootNode is displayed. There is no need for SUB to be a multiple node, but it must not be a singleton.
If you bind a property of the editor to an attribute, which does not lie in the subtree of TableRootNode, then you will see the same value in each row.
Now it depends on the structure of your context. Take the node, which is relevant for the change in each row (I assume it is TRIPS) and bind the table to the node as you are used to. Then for each additional column, you have to create a new column in the tree, create a new header element with a title and a new editor (e.g. textview or inputfield) and then bind the right property of the editor to the corresponding attribute in node AMOUNTS).
If these 2 nodes do not have parent-child-relationship, the tip to create a new node, which consists of the attributes of both nodes is the only solution.

I need to display the text value of the text field in the header text of the header data in credit memo.
The text values are stored in a ztable and i need to display it based on the billing document stored in vbrk (zfield) that was inserted during the creation of credit request..

Read the value from Z Table and during the creation of cedit memo check out for some exit where u the value from The zTABLE AND use function module SAVE_TEXT with object and id in the header text .

How to display all rows in the report in one page in Oracle APEX 3.2

Friends -
We are using Oracle Applications Express 3.2 on oracle database 10.2.0.5 on solaris environment.
One of our report contains total no of rows 50000. when we ran report by default it is showing 15 and i can go search and change display no of rows to different numbers and click go.
My question is it possible to display all 50000 rows during first time report launching without going to change rows. Is there any option that we can set how many number of rows that we can display during report design.

As vee pointed out it is possible, however the question you need to ask yourself is is it wise?
Bear in mind that displaying 50,000 rows on a single HTML page means a lot of code that must be loaded by the client browser all at once. What it will do to your page loading time? Browser memory? Network bandwidth? Also, do you really believe that it is effective to let an end user look for a specific row among 50,000 rows?

Displaying parameter value in the report output

I have a requirement to display the value 'All' in the report when the user selects 'All' from the list box. Can anyone suggest a way?
E.g.
My LOV input to the report has following values, 'A', 'B', 'C', 'All'.
If I select 'All', all the values A, B, C go into the query . But I need to display this I/P parameter as a field in the RTF showing 'All' in it.

u can try like this
if they select all u will have 'a,'b','c' as value in the xml tag right so always the string length of that xml field will be same when you select all . SAY STRING LENGTH WILL be 10 when user select ALL
( check the string how much is the value when you select ALL and implement this)
we can try using string length

or

if you are not having parameter values as xml tag then you have use like this

Filter not displaying all values

When I attempt to filter a product code. the drop down list (under heading Expression) displays about 100 codes when in reality there are about 2000 values.
I have changed the Maximum Rows per Page under Search Bar to 2000, but this still does not display all the codes.
Is there a setting I am missing?

I think that your description of the problem doesn't help a lot. Are you using interactive reports?
