Planning Result Track
Dear,
Is there any track report available for the Sales order or PIR based requirement.
For example If I entered Sales Order -A .
After MRP run i want see the status of my SALES ORDER- A(for material DE).
I want to see the track "Is there any short fall for raw material or HALB material which i defined in FERT (Material DE ) BOM."
yes srvanthi is correct,
check in the overview tree in the left side for the trancation MD04
and also U can check in the production order screen material availability,u can get the details from there also.

but also on index type. See difference for equality between simple index and unique index:

SQL> In general index range scan might expect back more than 1 row, while index unique scan usually expect 1 row, however of course in both cases you might get zero rows back.

Printing of Explain Plan Results
Is there any way to print an explain plan in SQL Devveloper when the length of the plan result requires scrolling to view the entire plan. I've tried expanding the plan result window as much as possible. The print result contains only what can be viewed.
I haven't tried DBMS_XPLAN but I'll look it up.
I can generate explain plans in a manner that's acceptable to read by simply using SQL*Plus.
This thread was about evaluating the features and problems with SQL*Developer. What I'm saying with this posting is that there is a problem with printing the explain plans that are generated in SQL*Developer when the plan result extend past the viewed window.
Is there a way to send this problem with the Oracle devlopers the way we do with SRs in Metalink? I didn't know if it was appropriate to send this through Metalink. I thought Oracle was monitoring this Forum for issues that were discovered with SQL*Developer. -
Deleted material coming in planning result
Dear PP Gurus,
Please guide.
I have marked one material for deletion, also i have locked that material, also made MRP type "ND". Still after running MRP with planning mode '3', system displaying this material in MD05/MD07/MD06. WHY ? Please expalin this.

MD04 will always display the material until it is archived. Further, any existing rqmnts/supply that exist will be displayed. If there are open sales docs, dependent requments, production orders, stock, etc, they will be displayed.
If you have planning results from previous MRP runs, and you then change the material to ND, the planning results will be displayed there forever until you manually delete them. ND makes MRP ignore the material, and it will thereafter not delete anything against that material.

Join hint ignored - very bad query plan results
I'm trying to get a query that's being generated by SSAS to perform acceptably. Because this query is (at least partially) generated by SSAS, I don't have complete control over the query text.
The problem - The query looks roughly like this:

T1 is a Fact (or Measure) table, T2, T3 and T4 are Dimension tables, T5 and T6 are involved in the filtering of the query. Every row of T1 WILL match exactly one row in each of T1, T2 and T3.
You'll note that I've hinted all of the joins - according to the documentation, using join hints forces join order (which is consistent with the plan that's produced). There's no mention that join hints can be transparently ignored by the optimizer,
but that seems to be precisely what's happening.
In the plan that results, the join to T4 is done as a hash join, with T1*T2*T3 (40,000,000 rows) on the "top", so it ends up trying to build a hash table with 40,000,000 rows, resulting in very high tempdb activity and very poor performance (I
don't know how poor - I've never let it finish).
I can see part of the reason why it's making this join choice - the estimate of T1*T2*T3 is only 35,000 rows, even though T1 has 40,000,000 rows and the join will hit on every row.
Questions:
1. What can I do to the query or the database to improve the estimate on the join to T3?
2. What can I do to the query to force the optimizer to use a loop join like I asked?
Version is SQL Server 2008 R2 SP2 Developer Edition X64.
OS is Windows 2008 R2
Machine is dual-quad-hyper-threaded CPU with 96Gb of RAM and several Tb of disk spread over 8 spindles and SSDs.
I've seen this query perform well before - I've been tuning this query for going on 7 years now and I've never seen it perform this badly that I can recall. Not sure if it's something that's changed in SP2, or something about the distribution
of data in this particular database that's changed, but something's sure changed.

That, or the statistics on T1 are giving a completely wrong estimates for the number of NULL values in t2id and t3id.

There are foreign key constraints, but they're NOCHECK. I've tried creating and updating statistics on various columns of the tables involved - I'll re-check that I've got up to date statistics on all of the columns involved in these joins.
What about the join-hint being ignored? Is there anything I can do, or has something changed here recently? Interestingly, when I run this query from SSMS, I get loop-joins all around, but when SSAS runs the query, the one join always comes out
a hash join. Before I added the hints, all joins were hash joins - the hints worked on all joins but the one.

What is the meaning of VW_NSO_1 on an explain plan result (10gR2)
I verified that VW_NSO_1 is not a user defined view.
but it seems that oracle some how defines this object.
Any idea what this object is and how it is made use of?

Explain plan results are different in SQL Developer than SQL Plus
My Environment:

Platform where SQL Developer is running: Windows XP 2002 SP2
Oracle Database and Client 9.2.0.7
Optimizer_mode: FIRST_ROWS
I have the following SQL statement:

Notice the FULL access of au_company.
I understand that SQL Developer has nothing to do with why the statement executed the way it did, but why is the Explain in SQL Developer different than the actual execution plan?

Explain plan result for a long-running query used in data-warehousing. Tuni
I have executed an explain plan for a query that is used in a data-warehousing application.
This sql is taking too long to execute as it is visiting 24 partitions.
Where each partition contains data for 1 month month, so it fetches last 2 year data.
And each partition has a million or so rows.
All this is kept in table prescrip_retail. So this table has 24 partitions.

However, the index does not exist for month.
I am also doing search for month.
I feel if I create a "partitioned index" on month, query performance should improve.
Q Can you provide me the syntax for creating a partitioned index on month?
2.The following tables are used in the query:

In these tables, apart from sherlock.sherlock_product_mapping table the statistics that exist is old.
I need to analyse on table level as well as column level.
For example:
Table prescrip_retail is analyzed in 2002,
table temp_presc_num_TEST is not analysed at all.
table rlup_assigned_account is analysed in Feb 2007.
sherlock_product_mapping is the only table that has updated statistics, analysed on Oct. 2007

Error when tranfering the planning results from SCM to R/3
hi,
While defining distribution definition i am getting follwing warning message " Location 1000 originates from source syst. T90CLNT800 and distr. to targ syst R/3CLNT800**
while transfering the result from SCM to R/3 it got stuck in the queue. there i able to see T90CLNT800 not the new one( R/3CLNT800) which defined in publication. also i deleted all the distribution definition belongs to T90CLNT800.
Initially i worked with T90CLNT800 and connected it to APO.Created data in this client and ciffed it to APO.
Afterwords, i created client R/3CLNT800 and now using with APO system.
how to solve this issue.

I understand that this problem is in Dev system.
First do the initial tranfer of the master data and transaction data and take a fresh run in APO. But before doing this delete APO transaction data.
If this doesn't work then follow as given bellow.
If you change the logical system you have to run BDLS to convert the logical system in the database tables.
Do this in the R/3, then do the initial tranfer of the master and transaction data and take a fresh run in APO.

Reset inspection plan after results recording

i had one problem to be cleared, if u can please solve it.
My problem is i have assigned wrong inspection plan for one insp. lot, and i have recorded results and saved. My question is there any provision that i can reset the other inspection plan for that particular lot and record resullts again.Hi Vijay,
Goto QA11/QA12 Change Udage Decision enter the inspection lot number and select Usage Decision -->Functions -->Cancel Lot.
Then cancel the Material Document by which the Inspection lot was created.
Then make the GR and new lot will be generated. Then assign the Inspection Plan, Results Recording.

The issues i'm facing are:
When it is reading a row from MS-Excel it is writing to the .pdf file from last cell to first cell.( 2 cell in 1 place, 1 cell in 2 place like if the row has two cells with data as : Name of the Intern: Kesavulu Reddy then it is writing to the .pdf file as Kesavulu Reddy Name of Intern)
and the second issue is:
It is not recognizing the date format..it is recognizing the date in first row only......
Plz Tell me wht is the solution for this...

What is the best way to untangle myself from my parent's phone plan while keeping my number?
I know what I would like to accomplish I just need to figure out the correct steps to take. So the situation at present is that I have a line which is tied to my parents Verizon account that I would like to take over. However, I do not wish to alter my parents plan since they are grandfathered in for an unlimited data plan. Additionally, I am trying to start a new plan with my fiancé who does not currently have Verizon phone.
I have a series of questions so the answer to any of them would be greatly appreciated.
1) If do an assumption of liability for the line I currently use will it terminate my parents contract or result in any fees being charged to their account? Will they still have the same plan text, talk, data limitations? Will removing my line from their plan result in a price change for them (since it will be one less line on the plan) or will it remain the same because the plan they are enrolled in is no longer available?
2) If I assume liability for the line does that count as initiating a new 2-year contract? If it does can I add a new line to the plan at that point? I’m also curious if I’m I eligible for the new 2-year contract pricing on a new phone if I assume liability for the line?
3) Is my life going to be infinitely easier if we both just ditch our old numbers? Might it be a better (or even possible) alternative to get a new plan with 2 lines and port our old numbers? (Keeping in mind I don’t want to mess with my parents plan) For instance essentially trading the phone number I use on my parents line for whatever number is assigned the new plan I sign up for? The AOL will not result in any additional fees on your parents plan, and will simply remove your line, leaving the rest of their plan intact. The cost of your line will be dropped, as it is no longer part of the plan. If they still have the unlimited data, then it sounds like the Nationwide plan, so your line would be either $10 or $10 + $30 if you have a smartphone. That amount would simply drop off.
2) If I assume liability for the line does that count as initiating a new 2-year contract? No. Your contract remains the same as it was, with the same upgrade / contract end date. If it does can I add a new line to the plan at that point? I’m also curious if I’m I eligible for the new 2-year contract pricing on a new phone if I assume liability for the line? You can split off into your own plan, keep your number, and add a line for your fiance. You can port your fiance's number from Straight Talk to the new account. There's no reason to "ditch" your current numbers. In fact, by starting a new plan with a new number and cancelling your current number on your parents plan, WOULD result in an ETF if the # is still in contract. You would probably be eligible for 2 yr pricing on the new line for your fiance, and she likely would need a new phone to work on Verizon (ST may or may not work on a Verizon contract account, I'm not sure). Your line would carry over with the same eligibility it has now.

SNP Optimiser issue (Annual Planning Run)

My fiscal year is 01.04.2010 to 31.03.2011, Now I am trying to run Annual planning run for the current FY.
After the run, If i see in SNPOPLOG, all demand is showing as unfulfilled. If i run for the next FY it is planning.
I want to run for the current FY, what settings I need to do?
sreeWhat is the time bucket profile of data view in which u are running optimizer. If it is a single yearly bucket you cannot run optimizer in current year. (your first bucket cannot have the start date in past)
Choose 12 monthly buckets. and run planning. You may 'view' the planning results in single annual bucket.
even if you do this, there will be no plan in current month. system will plan from next month onwards.

Scheduling agreement planning in APO
Hi,
Currently I am planning in APO (SCM 5.1) and have scheduling agreement (type - APO Sch. Agree.)
Planning run created - Schedule lines and using transaction - /SAPAPO/PWBSCH1, create release.
Then I went to external procurement master data and clicked on SA release and executed Schedule line.
I could see it green.
But if I check ECC, I don't see Schedules lines in agreement.
Do let me know if I am missing any steps or any configuration which I might have missed.
In the "Partner" tab within external procurement master data, I changed medium to "XML" and can see one failed IDOC.
How scheduling lines are released from APO to ECC? is it not standard "pulbication of planning result"

Thanks for all your replies, mentioned settings are already maintained and I did check all the queques for any error.
OLTP transfer setting is also maintained as immediate..so I don't need to transfer change pointers through report, as it should immediately be transferred to ECC.
My question is: We have report - create release (transaction - /SAPAPO/PWBSCH1) to release scheduling agreement, so I believe for scheduling agreement we need to use above transaction.
It seems to work, as I can see IDOC but its in failed status.
I have following question:
- Does scheduling line release work in a different way than purchase req, in APO. I did test with purchase req and it was immediately transferred to ECC.
Has somebody worked for schedule agreement scenario in APO?
Any insights would be appreciated.
