Plant assigment to sales org

Dear Experts,
What i think:
one sales org can have more than one distribution channel. One distribution channel can have more than one plant.
can the same plant be assigned to a different sales organization?
s001(sales org)->dc01(distribution chnnl)->p001(plant)
s001(sales org)->dc02(distribution chnnl)->p001(plant).....is possible
s001(sales org)->dc01(distribution chnnl)->p001(plant)
s001(sales org)->dc02(distribution chnnl)->p001(plant)
s002(sales org)->dc03(distribution chnnl)->p001(plant)....is this possible..in the sense ..can the same plant exist in more than one sales org...

Enterprise Structure:
1. Maintaining Sales Organization
Sales Organization is an organizational unit responsible for the sale of certain products or services.
IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Definition -> Sales and Distribution -> Define, copy, delete, check Sales organization
2. Assigning Sales Organization to Company Code
This assignment ensures all the sales made through this Sales Organization are accounted for in the assigned Company Code (Company Code is created by FI Consultant).
IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Assignment -> Sales and Distribution -> Assign Sales Organziation to Company Code
3. Maintaining Distribution Channel
Distribution Channel is the way, in which Products or Services reach Customers.
IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Definition -> Sales and Distribution -> Define, copy, delete, check distribution channel
4. Assigning Distribution Channel to Sales Organization
This assignment ensures, a Sales Organization can supply Materials to Customers through this Distribution Channel.
IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Assignment -> Sales and Distribution > Assign distribution channel to sales organization
5. Maintaining Division
Division is a way of grouping materials, products, or services.
IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Definition -> Logistics - General -> Define, copy, delete, check division
6. Assigning Division to Sales Organization
IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Assignment -> Sales and Distribution -> Assign division to sales organization
7. Setting up Sales Area
All the sales are made from a particular sales Area. For creating a Sales Order Sales Area is compulsory.
IMG ->Enterprise Structure -> Assignment -> Sales and Distribution -> Set up sales area
8. Assigning Sales Organization- Distribution Channel- Plant
Plant is created ny MM Consultant.
IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Assignment -> Sales and Distribution -> Assign sales organization - distribution channel - plant
9. Define Shipping Points
Shipping Point is the Organizational element, which is responsible for shipping the Materials to the Customers.
IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Definition -> Logistics Execution -> Define, copy, delete, check shipping point
10 Assigning Shipping Point to Plant
This assignment ensures that goods from different Plant can be dispatched from different Shipping Points.
IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Assignment -> Logistics Execution -> Assign shipping point to plant
Note: Ensure to do the undermentioned configuration also though it is not in Customizing node of Enterprise Structure.
11. Defining Common Distribution Channels for Master Data
Use
The purpose of this activity is to define distribution channels which have common master data..
Procedure
Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:
IMG Menu -> Sales and Distribution -> Master Data -> Define Common Distribution Channels
Transaction Code: VOR1
12. Defining Common Divisions for Master DataUse
The purpose of this activity is to define distribution channels which have common master data..
Procedure
Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:
IMG Menu -> Sales and Distribution -> Master Data -> Define Common Division
Transaction Code: VOR2

I knew these options already thts why i asked w/o using SPRO or customization tcodes..
as a normal SAP user will not have access to EC01 , or SE16N,...

Data Loading issue - No local currency found for plant 0001 and sales org

Hi Guru's,
I am trying to load data to 0PLANT_ATTR and I am getting the following error message:
1. No local currency found for plant 0001 and sales organization 0001
2. Plant 1010 : No sales organization found; Local currency cannot be checked
I have also maintained the global setting for currencies in RSA1 for that particular Source System.
Please let me know how to resolve this issue.

BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA how to ADD a Plant and CHANGE Sales Org. info

Hello All,
I got a working version of the BAPI Changing some data, and i need to take it to the next level.
In some cases I want to ADD a new plant to an existing material.
I filled the Sector, Type and Materialnumber in the BAPIMATHEAD and added the Materialdescription-table.
Since I´m creating I´m not to sure about the FLAGS in BAPIMATHEAD, I marked:
PURCHASE_VIEW
MRP_VIEW
WORK_SCHED_VIEW
STORAGE_VIEW
Naturally I also filled PLANTDATA, I don´t know what to do with PLANTDATAX though, since I want to CREATE a new plant-View to an Existing Material, not change one...
SAP can´t be expecting me to check every field in the PLANTDATAX, can they?
Could somebody indicate what i´m doing wrong?
PS: Is it possible to ADD a plant, and, in the same BAPI-Call, change Salesorg.-Data?

after a lot of hours, a friend discovered what I was doing wrong.
I was doing:
lt_unitsofmeasurex-alt_unit = 'X'.
lt_unitsofmeasurex-alt_unit_iso = 'X'.
instead of using the actual unit instead of 'X'

Plant & Sales org.

Why individual plant as well as individual sales org cant be assigned to multiple company company code ?

Hello David,
A company code can be defined as the smallest organizational unit for which a complete self-contained set of accounts can be drawn up . Will be able provide data for generating balance sheets, profit-loss statements.
Whereas, a plant and a Sales Org do not act as a self contained unit for accounting purposes. Also, a plant is owned by a single company code and can take orders from and make deliveries to customers within its sales org, which in turn is assigned to a single co code.

Plant assignment to more than one sales org

We have a business process where certain products made in one plant have to be sold to two sales organizations depending on certain conditions defined in the sales view of the material master. How can this be achieved? Currently system does not allow for plant assignment to more than one sales org?

Have you checked in OVX6 ? You can assign a given plant to different Sales Org. - Distribution Channel.
Select the Sales Org. - Distbn. Channel, click on Assign & in the pop-up box select the plant.

Material master creation problem in sales org views

I have faced problem while creating material master
In mm01 >then select the org views basic data1&2 , sales org data1&2, purchaing, accounting and costing views >thanclick org levels> here enter the plant , stor loc, sales org & dist.chanel >then enter fill the all fields and save this is original procedure
but problem occured at ... in org levels without dist.chan ( only enter plant ,sales org stor loc ) also system goes to sales org data-2
in our development system .. in select sales org 1& 2 ... system should ask sales ogr &dist,chanel at org ..level scren ..if we does't ente dist.ch .. system does't allow the material master...actually like this in production system also worked earler....but now our production system not worked like this procedure ...
pls ..guide me to solve this issue any one

but problem is ..when create material amster ...if select the select views sales orgdata 1,2 and sales gnerael plant data
than press enter ... here system ask the palnt (mandatory), sales org(mandatory) and dist channel9optional).in production sysstem....

I am getting the Error message 'material Damper in sales Org. 0001 distribution channel 01 is not defined.
while in the " change customer-material info Record: Overview screen.".
what is the meaning of this and how can i resolve this issue.

Go to MM01,
Put your material number, extend the view for sales by selecting view for Sales: Org. Data1,2 and General/Plant data.
put sales org 0001 and distribution channel 01.

but when i create material sales view , organizational level with plant is p999 , sales org. is c999 and distr. channel is z1 is invalid , it message error "Sales org. C999, distr. channel Z1 invalid sales area"

This may due to not set up the sales area in the IMG,so go through this path do the settings
IMG>Enterprise structure>Assignment-->Sales and Distribution
-->Assign sales organization to company code
-->Assign distribution channel to sales organization
-->Assign division to sales organization
-->Set up sales area
-->Assign sales organization - distribution channel - plant
After completion of these settings you also need to do the Common distribution channels and common divisions through VOR1 and VOR2 transactions before creation of the Master data(Customer or material)

Sales org 1000,dist channel10,div 00 plant 1000,CC 1000
This is one set up
Sales org 2000,dist channel20,div 00 plant 2000,CC 2000
This is another set up
Normal scenario would be Sales org 1000,dist channel 10 assigned to plant 1000 so that a sales process can smoothly happen in this setup
Another scenario would be Sales org 2000,dist channel 20 assigned to plant 2000 so that a sales process can smoothly happen in this setup
In Intercompany we assign Sales org 1000,dist channel 10 to plant 2000 or Sales org 2000,dist channel 20 to plant 1000
(ifyou want to sell a material from a plant thro one sales org that plant has to be assigned as a delivering plant for that sales org and dis channel in enterprise structure assignment and it is a must)
This means that we are telling the system this plant 2000 which is assigned to the CC 2000 can be a delivering plant for Sales org 1000(assigned to CC 1000),dist channel 10
Otherwise there will be error and no link between plant 2000 and sales org 1000 and ultimately no link between CC2000 and CC1000
So in the sales order when you put a plant of another company code the system senses it is a intercompany process and the pricing requirements and PI01 condition type everything will trigger
This is a major step in informing the system or making a link between the two company codes
Note this has to be done in enterprisestructure (assign sales org and dist channel to plant)and below the billing also (which you mentioned) in two places

Now i want to do Intercompany sale of Sales org2 with plant 1 & Intercompany sale of sales org3 with plant 1.
For that how can i assign , more than 1 sales org of diff company codes to Plant1 ??
Does SAP allow to do intercompany sale for more than 1 diff sales orgs ??

Hi nitin,
as per your scenario,
Company code 1 orders goods through its sales organization 1 from Plant 2 belonging to Company code 2.
It is imperative that both Plants 1 & 2 should have the material. In other words, the material is created for both the Plants 1 & 2 + their respective storage locations.
Sales Organizations and Plants are uniquely assigned to Company codes. It is not possible to assign either a plant or a sales organization to more than one company code.
Sales organizations and plants assigned to each other need not belong to the same company code.
In other terms,
a plant belonging to Company code 1 & assigned to Sales Organization 1 can also be assigned to Sales Organization 2 of Company Code 2.
CONFIGURATION SETTINGS
Assign Delivery Plant of the supplying company code to Sales Org + Distribution channel of the Ordering company code in the Enterprise Structure.
DEFINE ORDER TYPES FOR INTERCOMPNY BILLING:
Menu path: IMG/ SD/Billing/Intercompany Billing/Define Order Types for Intercompany billing
Assign Organizational units by Plant:
Menu Path: IMG/ SD/Billing/Intercompany Billing/Assign Organizational units by Plant.
Define Internal Customer Number By Sales Organization:
Menu Path: IMG/ SD / Billing/ Intercompany Billing/ Define Internal Customer Number By Sales Organization:
Creating / Showing Ordering Sales Organization as Internal Customer for Supplying Company code:
Transaction Code: XD01
The ordering sales organization is represented as Internal customer of Supplying company code.
We need to create customer master in Account Group - Sold to Party and maintain minimum required financial & Sales Area data.
This internal customer number has to be assigned to the ordering sales organization. Hence, the system automatically picks up this Internal customer number whenever there is Intercompany billing.

I am using the datasource 0PLANT_ATTR.While loading the data, i am getting the warning message as "No company code found for plant 0001 and sales organization 0001". I have replicated all the Currencies by using the "Global Settings".Do i need to do any settings in BW Side.
Please help on this Issue.

It is not pertaining to the Currency translations or any?
The warning message is because:
In the 0PLANT there is 0comp_code as attribute; while loading the data from 0PLANT_ATTR datasource there for that particular PLANT "0001" and Sales Org "0001" system couldnt find the 0comp_code.
As it is not maintained in the R/3 system.
This is why the warning messages are coming out..

Free Goods determination -acess sequence sales org/ plant/material

I am trying to determine the free goods by choosing the key combination as Sales org/plant/material.
The system is not determineing the free qty ,instead when i maintain the condition record with customer/Material key combination ,then the system is determineing the free qty.
I also tried to put acess Sequence Sales org/plant/material above the Acess sequence customer/Material,but still the system not detrmineing the free qty in the order.
can any one pl gide me how to solve this issue.

Hi
Go to the access sequence where Sales org/Plant/Material are maintained as condition table.
Now select the condition table and then click the node "Fields" on the left hand side of the screen.
It may give a warning message that "Fields are not yet generated". Just ignore this and Enter once again.
Do this until it takes you to a screen where you can see fields like KOMK-VKORG, KOMK-WERKS and KOMP-MATNR
Now create the condition records and check in transaction by creating sales order. It shoudl work.

I am face to a problem that i don't understand.
I load the standard master data 0PLANT and i have the basic issues : No local currency found for plant and sales org.
I already saw this error so i check the basics to solve it.
I respect the comp_code, sales_org and than plant sequence.
i checkek the routines, no problem.
for some plants it works. i extract 8 plants 2 works the rest not. the reason is that there is no sales org affected in my PSA table for those plants.
But (and this is the problem) when i check the SAP source table T001W i can see that plants are corectly affecte to sales organization
So do you have any idea of my problem ?
do you know the transaction on ECC to maintain division and sales org affectation
