Play a flash animation in same page

Hi,
i am trying to build my online portfolio and i wish to play
my flash animation portfolio on same page when user click specific
button, everything was fine, except when i try to import the swf
file (publish from my flash animation portfolio) to library and
create a movie clip symbol, i found the import swf file not running
same as original, some fade in and mask effect missing and speed
are totally difference. Appreciate anyone could help.
Thanks.

i think that's expected behavior. importing a swf file is
probably not what you want to do.
you can load a swf file and you can drag and drop movieclips
from one swf into another without problem.

  • Bug. Can't put two Edge Animate animations on same page

    Alrighty. Just thanked Adobe for fixing responsive scaling issue. Now there seems to be a new one. When I put two Edge Animate animations on the same page, they both disappear entirely from view! Both in live view (or what was fluid grid view) and when trying to preview in any browser. The responsive design is working great but if I put two animations on the same page they both just disappear! GONE!
    Maybe there is some code I can use to stop this from happening. I have done a number of tests over the last hour or so. My smile (from the responsive fix) is now a frown again. I can not continue to work like this. Please let me know if there is something I am doing wrong. I could have two animations in one page no worries before this release but the responsive design wasn't working properly. NOW the responsive design works but I can not have MORE THAN ONE ANIMATION on same page. Thanks for your time. Kind regards Julian.

    Hi Julian,
    First, in general, you can't create two instances of the same edge composition (this is not supported by EdgeRuntime), to be used in the same file.
    But if you want to use same composition multiple times, then follow the steps to create multiple copies to be treated as multiple instances:
        1. Open the composition whose multiple instance you want to use.
        2. Change the "Composition Class" to some other value
        3. Do a SaveAs and save it to create another copy of the same composition. // This copy can be treated as an instance.
        4. Repeat the steps 2 to 4, to create multiple copies of the same composition, and you will end up creating multiple instances.
    Second, you need to do small changes manually in the DreamWeaver html file.
        So, right now if you import two Edge Compositions in the html page, it will come as follow in the html <head/> section:

  • To not reload from start flash animation on web page

    Hi,
    I've done a nice flash animation which is in fact an ad
    banner.
    This banner should be displayed on my customer website in
    each pages.
    However, in order to be sure that customers of my client will
    see the
    whole flash animation, i would like to be sure that it's not
    reloaded
    from the first frame.
    is there something like a frames counter which can be
    memorized by PHP
    pages server ?
    i mean on page welcome.php, my banner will be displayed.
    let's say that after few seconds (35 frames for example), the
    customer
    click on a link "prices.php".
    on this prices.php page my ad banner is once again displayed,
    but i
    would like to make sure it starts from frame 36 for example,
    and not
    from frame 1.
    how can i do that ?
    thanks a lot,
    RAF

    Ha! thanks certified. the DW experts are pointing at Motion or Episode. I have confirmed that the file won't loop right out of Episode, so that leaves DW off the hook, i think. But what to do?
    Perhaps my workflow is flawed. I don't want to use Aftereffects to create web animations anymore. I want to use Motion. But this is a showstopper. .swfs are supposed to loop by default, so I can't imagine what's wrong. thanks for anymore advice.

  • Correct way to place a Flash anim on a page

    Hello, looking into well made sites I have seen code like
    this to place a Flash object/animation:
    <object type="application/x-shockwave-flash"
    data="/common/flash/c.swf?path=/common/flash/nav-about.swf"
    width="593" height="180">

    <param name="quality" value="high" />
    <param name="scale" value="noscale" />
    <param name="salign" value="LT" />
    <param name="wmode" value="opaque" />
    <object>
    On the site Im building there is going to be a Flash
    animation and my code looks like this:

  • Flash Animation in HTML page

    I have an HTML site (unfortunately only an intranet site so I
    can't share) that has swfs used in various places. The home page of
    the site has a movie that I would like, if possible to only play
    when a user enters the site. If, during a session they leave the
    home page for another page within the site, and then come back to
    the home page, I would prefer them not to see a particular
    animation again because once they've seen it, it can be annoying to
    see it each time they come back to the home page. Is there a way,
    with javascript, to make this happen? I don't think it is anything
    I can build into the movie with flash.

    what about using cookies and two versions of the page--one
    with and one without animations? an if statement could look at the
    cookie and load accordingly, maybe.

  • Playing multiple videos on the same page in Dreamweaver CS4?

    Suppose on my website, I have a few dozen videos, all of them embedded YouTube videos. When the user goes to the page, Video 1 is up and ready to be played. Below Video 1 is a list of the other videos (Video 2, Video 3, and so on), each with a thumbnail picture. When the user clicks this thumbnail page, the new video is loaded (eg: if they click on the thumbnail for Video 2, Video 2 is up and ready to be played).
    What do I do in Dreamweaver CS4 so the new video loads without redirecting the user to another page? With so many videos, I imagine that it isn't efficient to have a separate page for each video.

    Hi
    You can do this by using an xml playlist for your videos, (do a search for "creating flash xml playlists").

  • Play multiple flash animation

    Hi, i would like to randomly play multiple swf files one
    after one, like slideshow of swf files
    here is what i want:
    - load multiple external swf file from a main swf.
    - a swf play and when is finish the next one play, i mean the
    next one have to wait that the first one is finishing play before
    playing.
    - if its possible, preload the swf file, so the user do not
    have to wait that all swf file have to load, i mean loading the
    first swf file, play it and preload the next one during the first
    one playing.
    - do all this randomly
    the code i attach serve to play one external files, i didnt
    know how to play multiple one.
    im not sure if the adobe interface attach code correctly, so
    i pasted here:
    import flash.display.*;
    import flash.net.URLRequest;
    var rect:Shape = new Shape();
    rect.graphics.beginFill(0xFFFFFF);
    rect.graphics.drawRect(0, 0, 500, 120);
    rect.graphics.endFill();
    addChild(rect);
    var ldr:Loader = new Loader();
    ldr.mask = rect;
    var url:String = "
    http://swffile.swf";
    var urlReq:URLRequest = new URLRequest(url);
    ldr.load(urlReq);
    addChild(ldr);
    thanks

    You could add the swf's to the library, give them a class
    name and then reference them from the library in flash.
    If you use flex you can embed the swf's at compile time using
    [Embed(source='assets/scenes/home.swf')]
    public static var home:Class;
    and create an instance of the class when you would like to
    use it.
    var instance = new home();

  • Add a link to page option with flash animations??

    Hello, I see that you have an option for images if you insert an image, you have a link to html page option
    But if you insert a flash animation , there is no link option?
    as some research i have found that I have to do it i flash itself.
    Why did you not create a link option for flash animations? as you have with images, a link option would be great for flash animations also
    Is there a code I can do in dreamweaver to link flash animations to a page.
    thanks, I dont know why dreamweaver flash animations does not have a link option? please put it in next release
    thanks

  • How to flip a flash animation?

    Hi,
    Is is possible to play a flash animation flipped
    (horizontally mirrored), when embed on a HTML page? If so, how can
    I do this, in IE?
    Thanks.

    Hi, Rob,
    If I understand what you mean. I should set these vars while
    creating the flash movie, right?
    But that`s not exactly what I need, as I just get the .SWF
    made by someone else, and display then on my application. So what I
    need is something more like a param to the object tag or a
    javascript command that I could call from the HTML page, and then
    it would display that .SWF flipped.
    I'll try to explain why I need it.
    I have an application that accepts various formats, including
    flash (SWF), SVG, and static images. There is a requirement that
    the user should be able to see the application through a
    telepromter (something like this
    http://www.murrayhillstudios.com/murrayhillstudios_files/teleprompt03.jpg),
    and that`s why I must provide an option for him to flip the
    images/clips. I`ve used an embeddeb browser to display the SWF
    files. The flipping option has already been implemented for all the
    other formats, including the content on the embedded web browser
    that`s outside the flash plugin.
    Now, that (hopefully) it`d become clearer. Is there a way to
    go around that?
    Thanks.

  • Playing in Flash 8

    Is there a way to play a Flash animation made in version 10
    on a computer that only has version 8 installed?

    Your client-side looks okay - are you sure you're connecting
    to the server? In main.asc in your directory, place a trace call to
    make sure you're connected and give it a try.
    I see you connecting to a NetConnection instance of
    _root.client_nc, but I don't see it defined here. That could be
    your trouble if it isn't defined (i.e. var nc:NetConnection = new
    NetConnection;
    nc.connect("rtmp://whatever.com/path/to/application/")), but if it
    is, then you may be having problems connecting.
    I'm pretty new to FMS so I could be totally wrong, but I'd
    look at that first.

  • Is Flash invalid? W3 Validator giving me errors on my Flash animation?

    I have a simple Flash animation on a page (fade in/fade out
    images) but when
    I run my page through the WS Validator I'm getting all kinds
    of errors
    relating to my Flash animation.
    For example...
    Error Line 39 column 317: there is no attribute "src".
    ...="quality" value="high" /><embed
    src="flash/flashfile.swf" quality="high
    Error Line 39 column 352: there is no attribute "quality".
    ...c="flash/flashfile.swf" quality="high" pluginspage="

    Error Line 39 column 371: there is no attribute

    Error Line 39 column 422: there is no attribute "type".

    width="7
    Error Line 39 column 460: there is no attribute "width".
    ...application/x-shockwave-flash" width="700"
    height="190"></embed></object></no
    Error Line 39 column 473: there is no attribute "height".

    Error Line 39 column 478: element "embed" undefined.
    ...kwave-flash" width="700"

    I'm slighlty concerned that Dreamweaver/Flash, combined, is
    allowing me to
    create invalid code? Is there any way of solving this AND
    keep the Flash
    animation on the page? <fears the worst> :o(

  • How to Prevent Flash Animation Playing?

    I have a flash animation that plays automatically when the user lands on the homepage of my site. It's part of the header, so it's present on every subsequent page of the site as well. However, I would like it to NOT play on the other pages. It should be visible, but only display the first frame or so of the animation, rather than playing automatically on every page.
    How do I stipulate that in the code? Is there a line I can add somewhere?
    Thanks for any help.

    the easiest thing to do, is to create two different swfs.  one for the home page (that you've already made) and one for the other pages which will be the same as the one you have now except you want to add a stop() to the swf's first frame.

  • How to remove the button "play" and "stop" in that flash animation?

  • 2 videos playing in the same page

    Hi All
    I've got a new issue, I have a page with 2 animated graphs (as MP4). It seems that there is a conflict to auto play the both video, because one appear with a skin controler (not asked to) + the video stop before finishing to play.
    I've test by deleting the second video... Then it works....
    How do you manage to have 2 videos in the same page ?? do you have the same problem?
    I want to avoid Jpg Sequences as they are much more heavy

    Apple does not allow playing multiple videos at the same time. they are
    affraid your ipad will crash vecause of it's limited memory
