PLD & Relate To Issue

All,
I am running 2007 A(8.00.176) SP: 00 PL:35.  I am wanting to display a UDF on Order Item form I created in the BP's Addresses in the Page Header of the PLD form.  I am trying to relate the Ship-To Code to the Business Partner Address.  When I do this I get over 1,200 pages of duplicated items.
What am I doing wrong?
Dennis

Yes, it's clearer now, thank you.
I don't think it's possible to achieve this way. What you can do is to create another UDF on the Sales Order and assign a formatted search to display there the value of the BP Addresses UDF respectively.
Then you can display this field from the SO on the layout.
Regards,
Nat

Would you provide some details on how you’re calling this, which branch (e.g. Compiler is now known as Mxmlc on the trunk)? You need to have all libs from trunk/lib on the classpath.

      Batik-related compiler issue
I received this error calling the flex2.tools.Compiler’s main[] method.  The MXML input compiles successfully in the Flex 2 builder.  I wanted to check to see if anyone had experienced this before digging deeper into source code.

  • PLD-Relate To function

    Hi all,
In Properties window of the PLD(in Content Tab) if the source Type of the field is Database , then 'Relate To' and 'Next Segment' functions appear where we can link some field . What is the actual use of these functions?  How are they different from 'Link To' function in the General Tab ? And what is the use of 'Get Description' check box in content Tab?  Can anybody explain please?
    Regards
    Sudhir

    hi,
Pl find explanation here Relate To and Segment To in link
how to relate to & next to the fields in pld
Link To - Suppose u don't want to display tax amount when it is zero.
    Create a formula field(Field_xx3) insert field Field_XX2 ! = 0.
Link this field to tax label & its amount.
It won't display tax when it is zero.
Get Description when it is ticked gives description suppose for example Field contains value 'P'
    It displayed as Printed.

  • Relation of issue materials with vendor number???

    Hi Gurus!!!!
Can anyone tell me that can I find the vendor number by giving material document number and movement type type: 201. i.e. is there any relation of vendor number with issue material..........
    Please give me any solution!!!
    With regards
    Pardeep Sharma

    Hi,
Pls go to MSEG table, provide the material no in MATNR field and vendor no in LIFNR field and movement type as 201 in BWART field.
You will get the list of material document nos in the system against the given material no.
Then you can go to MB03 t-code, key in the material document no and get complete details.
    Hope this helps.

  • SWFLoader loded swf and relative path issue

    Hi,
Before explaining the problem, let me describe the usecase.
I have dashboard flex application hosted on Host1.
I have another flex application which acts as plugin to dashboard and is hosted on Host2.
I am using proxy to load plugin into dashboard using SWFLoader. With proxy SWFLoader in dashboard thinks that the plugin is coming from same host.
For plugin to load I specify SWFLoader source something like - source="Proxy/Host2WebappDir/plugin.swf.
Everything is fine upto this point. plugin.swf get loads successfully without any issue.
    Now the problem -
If plugin.swf made some request - the url path of that requrest is expected to be relative - i.e. if it make request say getIndianStates.xml, I am expecting the request should look for resource at "Proxy/Host2WebappDir/getIndianStates.xml". Instead it tries to look for getIndianStates.xml into dashboard hosting directory on Host1.
Can this issue be resolved without making any modification in source of plugin.swf.
    Thanks in advance,
    Prithveesingh Zankat.

I don’t know if any way to fix this without changing the URL the plugin wants to load.  Now if the plugin stores that URL in a publicly accessible variable, you might be able to access it from the main SWF and change it.  But it would be better to have the plugin detect relative paths and make sure they are relative to the SWF.  The SWFLoader component uses a LoaderUtil class to do that for SWFs it loads, but loads that don’t use SWFLoader need similar fix ups.

  • Cache-flush VM-related performance issue

    Dear forum,
I've got a peculiar performance issue going on with the BDB pagecache being flushed to disk. I've managed to reproduce the issue perfectly on three out of three quite different systems that I've tried on, so it is at least quite well-defined.
My usage pattern for the database in question is such that I periodically (perhaps once every 10-60 seconds or so) need to read through an amount of values (around 500-2000 or so) from a database containing a rather large amount (in the millions, at least) of keys. There are a few writes for every such batch, but not very many (a couple of tens). The keys that are read each batch are quite random, and very likely to be completely different from batch to batch. The database is a DB_HASH.
When I do that, BDB seems to dirty a lot of pages in the page cache (which I have currently sized at 512 MB so that pages don't have to be forced out from it), from what I can tell by manipulating refcounts and stuff, so all in all, a single batch seems to dirty some 10-40 MB or so of the mmapped cache region. (I check this using pmap -x on Linux.) Note that when I speak of pages and the dirtying of them here, I mean at the VM level, not the BDB level.
A while after this has happened, the VM comes around and wants to flush the dirty pages to disk, so it batches writes of large portions (often the entire set of dirty pages, but sometimes it only does 10-20 MB or so at a time; this detail shouldn't matter) of the dirtied pages to the backing block device. Since the dirty pages are often rather interspersed in the region file, such a flush usually requires a couple of thousands of write ops, so it might sometimes take up to 10-20 seconds for the requests to complete.
If the program, then, again tries to dirty any of the pages while they are waiting to be flushed, which is often the case, the VM will block it until the page in question is flushed. This means that the thread in question might very well be blocked for up to 20 seconds, causing quite annoying wait times.
How to deal with this problem? I've considered trying to put the region files on tmpfs or so, but that seems like such an excessive measure for a problem which, from what I can tell, should be commonplace.
On a very related note, I've noticed a large discrepancy in the I/O performance between the systems I've tried this on. Two of the systems in question manage to carry out some 200-500 write ops per second on my test load, while the third manages closer to 2000-3000 write ops per second, which makes quite a difference. What makes it very weird is that the faster system uses the exact same hard drive as one of the slower systems. I know this isn't exactly a BDB-specific question, but I thought someone around here might have experience in the matter. All three systems use Linux and S-ATA hard disks (not SSDs), but they use different S-ATA host adapters, different kernel versions and are configured in quite different ways.
Thanks for reading my wall of text! I'm sorry for dragging on so long, but I didn't know how to describe the situation more briefly.

As a follow-up on this, it appears that the blocking behavior was introduced in Linux 3.0 to stabilize pages under writeback:
    http://lwn.net/Articles/486311/
It seems that the commits that introduced the behavior can be safely patched away, and also that it is due to change in 3.9, but for now, this is not the route I took to solve it.
Rather, I wrote a patch to Berkeley DB to allow me to store the region files in another directory than the environment root directory, and used it to store them in /dev/shm -- that is, on tmpfs, which avoids writeback of the region files altogether.
If you want the patch, it is here for db4.8 (which what Debian Stable uses), and here for 5.1, which is what Debian Testing uses.
(For some reason, the hyperlink format suggested by the forum doesn't seem to be working?)

  • BDC Related Upgrade issues

    Hi every one,
I want to know wat are the issues while doing a version upgrade.
I have the knowledge of Dynpro missing ,
Screen Field related problem and Program itself missing the target system.
Pls .. tell me .some other issues...
    Thanks Everyone in advance

Run the BDC and check for errors is the only way.
If you can change the BDC to BAPI or another FM then you should not have this problem in the future. As you can get problems with Upgrade, the same can also happen for support packs.

  • PLD - Relate to functionality?

    Dear Experts,
I am designing the PLD for Cheques for Payments, for which I need to show the Payee as "Vendor Name, Vendor's Bank Name, Vendor's Bank Account Type and Vendor's Bank Account Number" or simply put as for e.g. "Murtaza R.E., ICICI Bank, SB, A/c 0123456789"
now in OCHO there is a VendorCode (or BP Code) field, the vendor's bank details are stored in OCRB table, I have a hint that this is something to do with the Relate To, but I am unable to understand the functionality of Relate To and Next Segment in the PLD, I am using 2005B PL32
Also, does anybody have any documentation on the PLD, it would be great if somebody could send it to me at murtaza at universal dot net dor in
    Murtaza

    Dear Murtaza,
I could provide you the following if this helps.
    Relate to:
This option is relevant for special scenarios only and requires knowledge of SQL.
This field is used for retrieving data related to key records found in tables other than the table linked as default to the current print template.
A key record is a field used as a primary key in a certain table. This key record functions as the identifier of this record and therefore it is required to retrieve any additional data related to it.
For example,if you need to print the name of a certain bank, which is not linked to
the table used in the current print template, you must first create a Text field of Database source type using the required table and select a  key record, such as Bank Code. Then, you need to create an additional Text field of Database source type; select the table again, select the required column (such as Bank Name) and type the unique ID of the field with the key record in the Relate to field.
There might be two or more key records in the same table. In this case,
these two key records are required for retrieving the data.
    Next Segment:
Use this field when a validation of two or more key records is required, for example, the field BP Bank Country and the field BP Bank Code.To make this double validation, select the unique ID of the next key record field in this field. The field with this unique ID will be used as the secondary validation key record.
We do have one example that could help you out to understand this.
    Example:
If you just add the country name from countries table (Countries: Name),
you get no results. You will then have to add another field: 'Business Partner: Bill-to
Country'.And relate the field 'Countries: Name' to 'Business Partner: Bill-to Country' by unique ID.Only then you will get the country name on printing.

  • PLD "relate to" option

    Hi Expert,
I need to know how to use "relate to" on getting row data whereby I am making use of Basekey + BaseLine as the relate key in PLD.
    Example:
I need to get the sale order date into the sales invoice printout wherey the sales invoice rows keep the basekey=docentry of DLN1 and baseline=linenum of DLN1.  And I need to retrieve back RDR1 from DLN1 with the same way.
In SQL, I can make use of
    select docdate from rdr1 where
      convert(nvarchar(12),docentry) + convert(nvarchar(5),linenum) in
      (select convert(nvarchar(12),baseentry)+convert(nvarchar,(5),baseline)   from dln1
    where convert(nvarchar(12),docentry) + convert(nvarchar(5),linenum) in
    (select  convert(nvarchar(12),baseentry)+convert(nvarchar(5),baseline)from inv1 where docentry = xxx)
Or is there anywhere shortcut way to directly get the info?
    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Joan.

    Hi John,
The "relate to" option on the PLD is not as strong as SQL query.  It can only apply very simple direct link.
You would better to try some other tools like crystal report to manipulate data as you wish.
    Thanks,
    Gordon

  • Cannot find relation - Known Issue?

Oracle Forms Builder is giving me the following error:
FRM-41104: Cannot find Relation: Invalid ID
I've not defined any calls to 'FIND_RELATION' - it seems it might be an internal error. Is this a known issue?
    Thanks,
    Oliver White

    Dear Oliver,
If you make relation between Datablocks Oracle Form will automatically create a trigger on the master datablocks called "ON-POPULATE-DETAIL". That trigger contain "FIND-RELATION" function. If I'm not wrong, maybe the relation of your master datablock have been modified or some other error(There are many reason for that error that I can't list here).
My suggestion, I recommend you to delete the relation and re-create it again. Hope this help.
    Regards,
    Franko

  • Language related performance issues in PS HRMS

    Dear experts,
I was just verifying a PS HRMS application(enterprise 9.1) performance and I found out that the language I select while logging in is drastically affecting the end user performance.
The verification for all languages were done from same location(suspected the issue could be location\network specific).
Any suggestions/recommendations/insights that would help me understand this issue better would be welcome!
         Best Regards,
    A   Arun

I've heard this issue before. If you check the query being executed, you'll see that when you're working in a non-base language, that the related language records are joined in as well. If you're searching in a big record (PS_JOB e.g.), you can thus end up with a much more costly query. I don't have a solution just right away on how to force lookups etc. to not check unneeded language stuff, but knowing the base issue might point you in a good direction to look further.

  • SOFTWARE related superdrive issues!!!

The problems with the superdrive on my iMac G4 started with the upgrade to 10.4.9 an still persist with 10.4.10.
The problem is quite simple, the DVD drive does not recognize any previously burned DVD-R (1X or 2X) disks. It reads CDR's without problems, it even reads DVD+R.
The G4 takes some time to recognize a previously burned CDR at slower speed, but it works. It fails to write a CDR at slower speed but CAN write and later read a CD burned at fastest speed.
It simply cannot read any music CD's (it sits inside the drive and later spits it out).
It CAN read commercial DVD movies.
It CANNOT read DVD -RW previously recorded media.
The drive is a SONY DVD RW DW U10A revison A13b
The problem is not the media as I can easily read all the aforementioned disks in my Powerbook G4.
    What is happening? help anybody?

    Can anyone help?

Hi all and welcome to the community TWSisters
In case it will help here, I just inserted two different
RelatedTopics controls. One configured to use the popup and the
other configured to use the dialog. Perhaps you can compare my code
