I dont know why, but after 3 hours of processing I get this error. I encapsulated my main with try/catch but nothing is caught. Nor is there a traceback.

I don't have any idea to offer on what the problem is. However, here are some suggestions:
Perhaps you can provide an example of your code and/or a more through description of what it does so someone might see something wrong with the code.
I assume you print out the entire stack trace using somthing like this, so you can get the entire stack trace:
} catch (Exception e) {
e.printStackTrace();
and not something like this:
System.out.println( e.getMessage());
You can also consider peppering your code with System.out.println() statements (or write to the log file) to get a better understanding of whats going on and where it crashes.
What is jgps.RTI.jar? Is that a jar file you created or a vendor jar file? If its a vendor jar file, you might research their web site on how to use it.

    Hi,
         I have a requirement of calling BI webservices from Plsql stored procedure. I generated all my wsdl java classes and loaded them into the database. However, when I tried to call one of my java class using stored procedure, it is giving me"ORA-29532: Java call terminated by uncaught Java exception: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError".
    *Cause:    A Java exception or error was signaled and could not be
               resolved by the Java code.
    *Action:   Modify Java code, if this behavior is not intended.
    But all my dependency classes are present in database as java class objects and are valid. Can some one help me out of this?

    Stiphane,
    You can look in USER_ERRORS to see if there's anything more specific reported by the compiler. But, it could also be the case that everything's OK (oddly enough). I loaded the JavaMail API in an 8.1.6 database and also got bytecode verifier errors, but it ran fine. Here are the errors I got when loading Sun's activation.jar, which ended up not being a problem:
    ORA-29552: verification warning: at offset 12 of <init> void (java.lang.String, java.lang.String) cannot access class$java$io$InputStream
    verifier is replacing bytecode at <init> void (java.lang.String, java.lang.String):12 by a throw at offset 18 of <init> void (java.lang.String, java.lang.String) cannot access class$java$io$InputStream

    Hope this helps,

    Hi,
    Looks like your CLASSPATH is not set properly...Just try to Put the Jar inside "<DOMAIN_HOME>\lib" directory...in that case u need not to alter anything in the Classpath variable...it will be appended at the end of Classpath at the run time, Using Extended Directory ClassLoader.
    by default Classpath settings doesnt take effect if we specify it in the startScript of Servers but we start them using NodeManagers...So if you are using Nodemanagers to start your Servers... then you can follow the below link to set the Classpath & Memory Arguments http://weblogic-wonders.com/weblogic/2010/03/26/nodemanager-based-managedservers-setting-mem_args/

  • Java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError when running the Junit method

    Hi Friends
    I am stuck in this typical Junit problem for a copule of days but still not able to find any solution for it.The problem is as below.
    I have written Junit test case for 1 method that has been added in the session bean. the code is as below.
    public void testfindResponses() {
                   ClientManager cMgr = null;
                   Collection retvalue= new ArrayList();
                   try {
                   System.out.println("Before");
                   cMgr = EJBHomeUtilities.getClientManagerHome().create();
                   System.out.println("After" + cMgr.toString());
              //     retvalue=cMgr.findSurveyResponses(clientPk,startTime,endTime);
                   }catch (RemoteException e) {
                   //logger.error(e.getMessage());
                   throw new EJBException(e.getMessage());
                   } catch (CreateException e) {
                   // logger.error(e.getMessage());
                   throw new EJBException(e.getMessage());
                   } finally {
                   EJBHomeUtilities.removeSessionBean(cMgr);
              //return retvalue;
    when i run this using the Junit consol;e on the eclipse i am getting

    The same method if i write for another session bean it is working fine without any errors.
    Please let me know whats wrong here as i am stuck up with this issue for a long time .waiting for positive replies from your side.
    Thanks & Regards

    I also came across this error . . . the exception message seemed to indicate a problem in the HTML file. In mine, I had the HEIGHT and WIDTH attributes set to 100% -- something that is nonsensical outside of a browser context. I changed those values to some number of pixels (800 and 600, say), and the exception did not reoccur. I suggest you try the same.

    As you said,

    I assume, you are trying to call the method from standalone class,
    i'll suggest it would be better if you make sure your classpath is correct by running the below command in your java console before running your actual code,
    javap net/sf/cglib/beans/<<Your class name>>
    It will tell you whether your class in there in the classpath or not,

    Are you actually using Leopard (v10.5)? If so, you're in the wrong forum. I don't know what causes your problem, but it might be related to the Java version you're using. See

  • EJB lookup via JNDI results in java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError

    Hello,
    I have created and deployed an EJB to the WebAS (ver 6.40).  There is no problem looking up the bean via JNDI and calling its methods from a J2EE application - I successfully did this via a servlet.
    However, a JNDI lookup from a Web Dynpro application - on the same server - results in a java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError error.
    The code for the JNDI lookup is identical in either case.
    Any thoughts?

  • Java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/sql/STRUCT after 11g/GF3.1.2 upgrade

    We have recently upgraded all of our servers from:
    Java 1.6.31 to 1.6.32
    and
    Glassfish 3.1.1 to 3.1.2
    We upgraded our development server from Oracle 10g to 11g.
    Our live servers are working fine. Our development server now is spewing out a java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/sql/STRUCT error whenever it encounters a servlet or page which uses this class.
    ojdbc14.jar and sdopai.jar were included within the WAR file, and I have tried with them excluded from the WAR file to no avail. We have tried reverting the version of ojdbc.jar on the server to the earlier version, this has made no different.
    Any ideas? The full stack trace is below:

    Our live servers are working fine. Our development server now is spewing out a java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/sql/STRUCT error whenever it encounters a servlet or page which uses this class.
    ojdbc14.jar and sdopai.jar were included within the WAR file, and I have tried with them excluded from the WAR file to no avail. We have tried reverting the version of ojdbc.jar on the server to the earlier version, this has made no different.

    If your code can't find the class then you have the classic NoClassDefFoundError problem you get when any other referenced class can't be located.
    The oracle/sql/STRUCT class is in the ojdbc14.jar, ojdbc5.jar and ojdbc6.jar so if it can't be found then that class is missing from the jar you are using (which you can tell by examining the jar contents) or the jar is missing from the classpath being used.
    As already mentioned you need the Oracle 11 JDBC files to support Java 1.6
    Here is the official Oracle JDBC page that shows the Oracle DB versions supported for each of the JDBC drivers available and also describes the JDBC jars and what JDK versions they support.

  • ERROR: java/lang/NoClassDefFoundError. HELP!!!

    Hi all, can any one tell me what's wrong with my program that runs fine in JavaONEStudio5, but i find following error message when i run it in WTK21:
    Project "readWriteRights" loaded

    I doubt that the error is caused by " java.io.* " which is not included in MIDP so that my program cannot run in WTK21.. is that true?
    if yes, what can I do with it because I have to run it in WTK21 for demonstration. thx!!!!!
