Please... BIOS help for MS 6340 ver 1

I am trying to help a friend get her old Systemax 900mhz Athlon going again. I believe this Forum is my only hope. The board is a MSI MS 6340 ver 1. which is not a normal retail board. Is it possible to get a free BIOS download that will work with this board POST says it is AWARD Modular BIOS v 6.00PG… then on another line of the POST it says Award Plug and Play BIOS extension v1.0A…. The problems are 1) XP will not reload and gives a stop 2) the bios does not detect IDE2 hardward 3) The system reboots randomly… sometimes just over and over. 4) at reboot, the memory test repeats again and again. You have to Esc to get past this problem ….. CMOS has been cleared and everything unplugged except HDD, video (reseated), and 1 strip of RAM. Then I plugged in a known good 350w PS. This did not help. The WD HDD passes the extended test using the WD dos utility. I also tried new IDE cables. I know of nothing else to try except a BIOS flash… Many thanks in advance.. I know the board may be dead, but I have so much work in it that I don’t want to give up without trying a BIOS update. Thanks again.

Type in MS-6340 in the search text, search by description, download bios. I doubt that you can update the bios without getting the system to go through the post process where it detects everything in the computer. Disconnect all of the drives and see if it will post. It sound like a memory or cpu problem.
Did you try a stick of known good ram from another system?

Thanks for reminding me of the card's specifications. I should have checked that. However, I don't understand your last remark, what does windows' kmixer have to do with what sampling rates the card supports in ASIO? I don't think kmixer is relevant here.
If you suggest Kernel Streaming for avoiding kmixer's resampling, according to Microsoft kmixer's resampling kicks in only when audio files of different sampling rates meet in the audio stream. I'm under the impression, however, that Creative drivers have taken care of that situation also so as all sample rate conversion to be perfomed in hardware regardless of the output method (Direct Sound, Wave Out or whatever). Isn't that right?

It seems so, because, when I use the ASIO plugins in Winamp and Foobar, changing between songs of different sampling rates gives me a pop sound (supposedly indicating a change in the audio engine's sampling rate)and I see the sampling rate change automatically in the control panel from 44kHz to 48kHz in accordance with the sampling rate of the playing file. None of the above happen if I use Wave Out, Direct Sound or Kernel Streaming. This leads me to believe that you don't get bit accurate playback unless you use ASIO.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Bios mod for CZ-17

I have been advised to go here to request some bios help for my ibuypower CZ-17 which is an MSI GT70 bare bones from what im told.
My goal is to retrofit in a GTX 970m as many are doing, but apparently bios and/or firmware modifications are needed to support the new card. Svet, is this something you are able to do? I would be happy to donate for the support, thank you.

So while I understand bios unlocking does not add support for the 900 series cards, the bios update somehow does. It sounds like you don't modify bios but only unlock. Ideally I would like to update to an MSI bios. I know my current already supports 7XX cards. How likely is a brick from slapping an MSI bios on? I'm really not sure what's different between the retail and barebones. Tried to PM you said I'm not allowed to send pms. Thanks.

Which is a A8M2N-LA Naos-GL6, is this that what you have? And what BIOS are you looking for, or should I say what did you try to put on it?
I happen to have the same motherboard on an old Compaq, so I could possibly exctact the BIOS file if it is the one you are looking for. It showes 3.00 I beleive but I will check if you need the info.

If Other (the yellow bar) is too big something is corrupted. The only solution (that I know of) is to restore from your most recent backup using iTunes (see http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766).

Hi Katrina - I hear what you are saying about the problems. I've been using a BB Pearl here in Canada since January and I had the same problems with PocketMac from the start. iCal dates getting strangely duplicated after syncing and contacts in AddressBook groups getting listed twice on the BB. The only solution I used was to have the Mac always override the BB when syncing. NOt perfect but for me it was the simplest way to ensure the consistency of the data and my own sanity.
If anyone has a better solution that actually allows a clean sync I'd love to hear it.

To analyze Lync issues I have installed these applications in my windows 7 x64 laptop
1) network monitor 3.4
2)Lync network monitor parser
3)nmdecrypt2.3
4)network monitor parser3.4
Installtion got completed successfully but when I try to start capture I get this error everytime.......

I read many technet articles and other blogs but that didn't solve this issue. I tried things like
A) Run as administrator
B) nmconfig /install in cmd
So could you please help me how I can fix this issue?

If you are talking about Safari on the iPad, there is no version of Adobe Flash for iOS and there never has been. Clear Safari, close the app and reset the iPad.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History and Website Data
In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If you are talking about Safari on your Mac, you are in the wrong forum. But I would still clear the cache, quit Safari and restart the Mac.
