That's one of the weird things.. it recognizes it maybe 10% of the time. And usually, only after I do the two-button reset. Problem is.. since it won't charge above 2%, anytime I try to do a restore or anything like that using iTunes, my device shuts off and I lose whatever progress I'd made.
So, an update... after reading through a bunch of similar complaints (there are literally 1000's of them so there's NO WAY this isn't somehow ios7 related, thanks a lot APPLE ) I decided to try a restore in recovery mode. After 3 hours and several disconnections... I ended up having to just set it up as a new iPad, as the restore did nothing. Weirdly though... as I was doing the restore in recovery mode.. I noticed I'd gotten up to a 10% charge.. higher than it's been since September, so after setting it up as a new device, I turned it off and plugged it in using the wall charger. 2 hours later and I was up to 38%. Still not great, as my iPad, before ios7 could've fully charged twice in the amount of time it took for me to now get 28% more of a charge. And that's with a fully cleaned out device.. so that really ***** and I'm now more confused than ever.
But I'm gonna leave it overnight charging and see what I come up with tomorrow. Sadly, when I paid $600 for it in February, I never expected to have to play "wait and see" with it...

Do you have any idea about EPC error? If yes, Please come in.

: please try to solve the EPC-INIT failed epc-95 error which arbitrarily raises any day, we can not say that it raises only during peak time.It comes arbitrarily any time any day. Initially it was use to come after every 5 to 10 days But now its frequency has been increased.
I have checked it out from documentation but there is ample space in ORACLE_HOME.
Is it having any relation with other errors as follows which also coming at different times.
1) General error on user screen not on server. which results into loss of connection with the server. user again have to enter there identities.
2) virtual memory problem, now set high.
3) Less redo log buffers space, which results into high no. of redo buffer allocation tries. This i will increase it soon.

Oracle Trace is a common tracing mechanism which is automatically
enabled in Oracle 7.3 on many platforms. Products instrumented with
Oracle Trace include:
SQL*Net v2.3 , Net8
Oracle Server 7.3 , 8.0 and higher
Oracle Forms 5.0
Unless specific actions are taken Oracle Trace may be enabled when it is
not required.
Likelihood of Occurrence
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On Unix platforms it is quite likely there is some impact from Oracle
Trace being enabled, even if this is only a small performance degradation.
Most of the problems are fixed with Oracle 7.3.3 but it is still sensible
to disable Oracle Trace if it is not required.
Please Note: Oracle trace works well if correctly configured and used
in a targeted manner. The problems described here can
occur when Oracle Trace is not configured and is widely
enabled , especially with 7.3.2.
Possible Symptoms

Widespread use of Oracle Trace can have a number of apparently mysterious
side effects including:
- Very slow database connect times
- Poor Oracle response times
- High disk space usage by the file 'process.dat'
- Oracle errors attaching to the SGA, such as ORA-7307 or ORA-7337
- Protocol errors (such as TNS-12164) errors from SQL*Net
- Sessions aborting or hanging when connecting to the instance
- Bus errors and/or core dumps from SQLPLUS or SVRMGRL
- Shadow process fails to spawn and you receive ORA 12547
- Trace files being written to the default USER_DUMP_DEST rather
than the actual setting of USER_DUMP_DEST
- Zero length trace files
- Connect internal prompts for password
- Errors of the form "ORA-7445 [epcrid_next()+452] [SIGSEGV]"
in some Oracle 8.0 releases
- A hanging listener on 8.1.6 which was fixed by disabling otrace.
- An intermittent 12500 error on 8.1.5 was fixed by disabling otrace.
- One Customer upgraded his sun os from 2.6 to 2.8.
After the upgrade of the os, customer started receiving ora-12223
errors when trying to start up svrmgrl and the listener. Through
a top session, customer could see svrmgrl consuming excessive memory
until memory was exhausted.Disabling otrace solved this issue.
Workaround / Patches
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There are no patches available.
Two workarounds exist:
A. If you wish to disable Oracle Trace totally you simply need to
     remove the '*.dat' configuration files.
B. If you do wish to disable Oracle Trace for specific processes
     only you can use the EPC_DISABLED environment variable. Setting
     this to TRUE will DISABLE tracing.
Workaround A - No Oracle Trace output required:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. Shut down all databases and listeners.
2. Remove the Oracle Trace files:
     Unix                    NT
     ~~~~                    ~~
cd $ORACLE_HOME/otrace/admin     cd orant\otrace73\admin
rm -f *.dat               del *.dat
                         Reboot the NT server
Workaround B - Disable Oracle Trace on specific connections
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
NB: This workaround is not applicable to NT.
1. Shutdown and remove the trace configuration files as in Workaround A.
2. Reinitialise the Oracle Trace files by typing 'otrccref' in
     the otrace/admin directory.
3. To disable Oracle Trace for a particular session set the environment
     variable EPC_DISABLED to TRUE.
Eg: In a Bourne script:
EPC_DISABLED=TRUE; export EPC_DISABLED
In the C-Shell:
setenv EPC_DISABLED TRUE
4. To set EPC_DISABLED=TRUE for SQL*Net connections you can modify
     the 'SID_LIST_listener' clause in the 'listener.ora' file and add:
(ENVS='EPC_DISABLED=TRUE')
to the SID_DESC for each 7.3 database. Add the entry AFTER the
(ORACLE_HOME=...) clause.
Eg:

Sounds like they just mean a rectangle containing a gradient.
Use the Ractangle tool to draw a rectangle, make sure its still
seelcted and use the Properties Inspector to make it the
recommended dimension and add the gradient (click on the Paint
Bucket).
Does that make sense with the instructions after this step?

I have install gcc-2.95.2-sol8-intel-local.

then add /usr/local/bin&/usr/ccs/bin to PATH
It seems that gcc is working well.
I can run ./configure successfully,but run 'make' unsuccessfully,even to say 'make install'.
Maybe there are some problems with source code.

You can use gcc which is free of charge. But sometimes it is adviseable to use the Sun compiler for Solaris. The reason being that gcc has a preprocessor which works with pseudo ANSI C and is also not system standard for Solaris. Some headers may be included erratically and it may just be a real pain to fix. But by all means, keep both on the system.
/usr/ucb/cc is a wrapper script which tries to execute /usr/ccs/bin/ucbcc, which in its turn is a symbolic link to /opt/SUNWspro/${VERSION}/bin/cc. If you haven't installed the Sun WorkShop (now days called Forte) compiler yet, you can do so with a 30 day license. Download the try and buy from http://www.sun.com/software/shop.
After installation, you will have your WorkShop tools installed in /opt/SUNWspro. Just issue the following commands:
ln -sf /opt/SUNWspro/bin/lint /usr/ccs/bin/ucblint
ln -sf /opt/SUNWspro/bin/cc /usr/ccs/bin/ucbcc
ln -sf /opt/SUNWspro/bin/what /usr/ccs/bin/ucbwhat
After that you can execute /usr/ucb/cc without any problems. If you want, you can link /usr/ccs/bin/cc to /opt/sfw/bin/gcc, but I haven't tried it as Sun cc and GNU gcc take different arguments. When gcc wants -fPIC, cc wants -KPIC etc etc.

Without knowing what you're trying to compile and without any output it's very difficult telling what your problem may be.
FYI, Solaris doesn't handle link time as runtime, so when you try to link against a dynamic library with -L, you need to also specify -R for where the library is supposed to live on the target system. Supposedly this is good for cross platform compiling, but it has tripped me many times.

Dear Apple,
Please create a fix for the battery life issue for ios 7.1 for 5S.
I have tried restoring the phone to new and problem persist.
When the phone was new, even when Im on LTE, the battery does not suck at all.
With LTE, the battery was stable back when the phone was new.
Now Im losing 2% every minute even with LTE off and other things like Background App refresh and Brightness etc turned off and low.
5S is too expensive of a phone to have this problem.

i cannot, for the life of me, burn a movie to a disk... i made the movie in imovie08, chaptered the thing in garageband and exported it to iDVD... iDVD so wonderfully set up the submenus and play all buttons for me on the main menu...however, if i do ANY little bit of change to the menu...my computer will lock up, SOLID when i hit the play button...
i DO NOT have iDVD.plist on my computer...i guess i wasnt privileged enough to ever get one or something...i've done the disk utilities premissions thing...
whats goin on.... any help will inevitably save my computer from target practice with my new duck hunting gun....

Of course there is a .plist file even for iDVD.
Not knowing the origin to Your problem - General approach when in trouble is as follows:
• Free space on internal (start-up) hard disk if it is less than 10Gb should rather have 25Gb
• Hard disk is untidy: Repair Permissions, Repair Hard disk (Apple Disc Util tool)
• Delete iDVD pref file - *or rather start a new user/account* - log into this and re-try
• Program miss-match: iDVD 5.0.2, Mac OS X.4.11 AND QuickTime 7.4.1 - is OK - DON’T work under Leopard
• Program miss-match: iDVD 6.0.4, Mac OS X.4.11 AND QuickTime 7.4.1 - is OK (might work under Leopard)
• Program miss-match: iDVD’08 v. 7.0.1, Mac OS X.4.11 AND QuickTime 7.4.1 - is OK (might work under Leopard)
• iDVD (08) v7 Locate theme folder. Move out iDVD1, iDVD 2 and eventually iDVD4 folders to desktop - re-try
iDVD 6.0.4 and iDVD 7.0.1 are compatible with Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard
iDVD pref file resides: Mac Hard Disk (start-up HD)/Users/"Your account"/Library/Preferences
and is named: com.apple.iDVD.plist
While iDVD is NOT RUNNING - move this file out to desk-top.
Now restart iDVD.

Pretty much what it says, SIri can't help you right now. I suspect it's a location, nework and/or server issue. Siri is currently Beta and doesn't always work.
