Please explain XSLT mapping from initial

Hi Experts,
I have Altova XMLspy but I dont know how to use it for doing XSLT mapping.
Can anyone of you please explain a simple XSLT mapping in Altova so that I can try.I have checked many blogs related to XSLT mapping but didnt find my answers.
If you can guide me with a simple xslt mapping it would be great.
Thanks,
Ravi

  • XSLT Mapping of Adapter-Specific Message Attributes

    Hi,
    We have the requirement to build a soap request with a custom soap envelop/header which contains a sessionId.
    Therefore we developed a xlst mapping which is called directly after a graphical mapping.
    In the graphical mapping the session id is written to the dynamic configuration.
    The goal is to read this session id in the xslt mapping from the dynamic configuration using XSLT Mapping of Adapter-Specific Message Attributes. We used  [this|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/43/03fe1bdc7821ade10000000a1553f6/content.htm] documentation as an example.
    But we are getting the following error: TransformerConfigurationException triggered while loading XSLT mapping. The error is raised at this node: <xsl:variable name="dynamic-conf" select="map:get($inputparam, 'DynamicConfiguration')" />
    This is the coding of the xslt transformation:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0"
          xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"
          xmlns:ns1="urn:enterprise.soap.sforce.com"
          xmlns:map="java:java.util.Map"
          xmlns:dyn="java:com.sap.aii.mapping.api.DynamicConfiguration"
          xmlns:key="java:com.sap.aii.mapping.api.DynamicConfigurationKey">
    <xsl:output indent="no" />
    <xsl:param name="inputparam"/>
    <xsl:template match="/">
    <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:urn="urn:enterprise.soap.sforce.com">
    <soapenv:Header>
    <urn:SessionHeader>
    <xsl:variable name="dynamic-conf" select="map:get($inputparam, 'DynamicConfiguration')" />
    <xsl:variable name="dynamic-key" select="key:create('http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/SOAP', 'sessionId')" />
    <xsl:variable name="dynamic-value" select="dyn:get($dynamic-conf, $dynamic-key)" />
    <urn:sessionId><xsl:value-of select="$dynamic-value"></xsl:value-of></urn:sessionId>
    </urn:SessionHeader>
    </soapenv:Header>
    <soapenv:Body>
    <xsl:copy-of select="*"/>
    </soapenv:Body>
    </soapenv:Envelope>
    </xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>
    Any help will be highly appreciated.
    Regards, Henk

    Hi, yes we did try that and lot's of other combination.
    The results of those trials are that it seems to go wrong with <xsl:variable name="dynamic-conf" select="map:get($inputparam, 'DynamicConfiguration')" />
    When we enclose it with <xsl:if test="function-available('map:get')"> the transformation is not dumping, but the function is not available.

  • How to take reports from miro t-code please explain in a step by step manner?

    How to take reports from miro t-code please explain in a step by step manner?

    I just did as you said (I think), but it's still having the same behaviour as before (same data for all EVS in the table).
    Here´s what I did:
    I
    In node "Detail" (cardinality 0...n, singleton set to true), which is binded to the table, I created a child node named "Column1Values" wth cardinality 1...1 and singleton set to false.
    "Column1Values" node has an attribute called "column1", of type String.
    I did the binding between attribute "column1" and the column1 inputfield celleditor in the table.
    I created an event called Column2Changed and binded it to the column2 celleditor of the table. I added a parameter called nodeElement of type IPrivateCompView.IDetailElement to this event, and mapped it to the column2 editor in the table so that I can dynamically get the nodeElement that is being affected.
    I added the following code to the onActionColumn2Changed(wdEvent, nodeElement) method that gets created in the view:
    IWDAttributeInfo attrInfo = nodeElement.nodeColumn1Values().getNodeInfo().getAttribute("column1");
    ISimpleTypeModifiable siType = attrInfo.getModifiableSimpleType();
    IModifiableSimpleValueSet<String> value = siType.getSVServices().getModifiableSimpleValueSet();
    if(this.initRFC_Input(nodeElement.getColumn2())){
         for(int i =0; i < wdContext.nodeRFCresults().size(); i++){
              value.put(wdContext.nodeRFCresults().getRFCresultsElementAt(i).getId(),
                                  wdContext.nodeRFCresults().getRFCresultsElementAt(i).getDesc());
    And with this, I still get the original problem... When the EVS of one row is updated, ALL other EVS of the table get also updated with the same values.
    What am I missing? Sorry Govardan, I bet I'm not seeing something really obvious... hopefully you can point me in the right direction.
    Thanks!

    Hey,
    I think you will find that you have to have a debit/credit card stored on yur account regardless of whether your have iTunes Credit or want to purchase a free App. I don't know why, I assume its for ID verification or is part of the terms and conditions. I occasionally have to re-verify my credit card info even when just trying to run Update on one of my Apps or like I said downloading a free App.
    If you need further clarification all you can do is contact iTunes Support:

  • Xslt mapping can't get date from java

    I am trying to get the current date/time from java in my xsl mapping. I can't seem to get it to work. This is the code I am using in my xsl file.
    <IDField>
      <xsl:template name="currentTime" xmlns:date="java:java.util.Date">
    <xsl:value-of select="date:new()"/>
      </xsl:template>
    </IDField>
    also tried
    <xsl:value-of select="java:java.util.Date:new()"/>
    I simply want to put the current date time in the IDField. What am I doing wrong? I am currently getting back a xslt mapping error. Here's the error....
    Transformer configuration exception occurred when loading XSLT
    I've tried a few different ways, but none have worked. What I'm looking for is the specific code that would display the date/time.
            - Emmett

    I figured it out. The main problem was that I didn't have the following in this line....
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" <b>xmlns:java="http://xml.apache.org/xslt/java" </b>xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" .....>
    Once I included xmlns:java="http://xml.apache.org/xslt/java" all the java functions were available. I also found the great date template. In case anyone wants to check it out here it is...
    <xsl:template name="today"
                  xmlns:cal="xalan://java.util.GregorianCalendar">
      <xsl:variable name="rightNow" select="cal:getInstance()" />
      <!-- The GregorianCalendar class counts months from zero
           so we have to add one to get the customary number -->
      <xsl:variable name="month" select="cal:get($rightNow, 2) + 1" />
      <xsl:variable name="day" select="cal:get($rightNow, 5) " />
      <xsl:variable name="year" select="cal:get($rightNow, 1)" />
      <xsl:value-of
       select="$year" />-<xsl:value-of
       select="$month" />-<xsl:value-of
       select="$day" />
    </xsl:template>

    Hello,
    I have the same issue as stated above.
    At runtime sometimes the mapping fails however when executing the mapping from ESR (test operation mapping) with the same payload it is executed succesfully (lookup is to system that is the senderservice of the scenario).
    Anybody a clue.
    Also clearing mapping cache etc. did not solve the problem.

  • Java RFC lookup from XSLT mapping

    I tried to implement a generic Java RFC Lookup class to be called as a Java extension from my XSLT mapping. I found the How-To-Guide "Easy RFC lookup from XSLT mappings using a Java helper class" ([Easy RFC lookup pdf site|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/05a3d62e-0a01-0010-14bc-adc8efd4ee14?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true]) and tailored the source code to my XSLT program.  I am getting the error "Variable '$inputparam' has not been bound to a value".  Can anyone tell me what I am missing?  I am not familiar with java at all, and only moderately familiar with XSLT.

    > I am getting the error "Variable '$inputparam' has not been bound to a value". Can anyone tell me what I am missing?
    At runtime the variable does not get value.  You need to assign value to the variable inputparam. Just curious why dont use the RFC lookup graphical  which is very easy and no need to handle java programming. You need to configure just reciever RFC communication channel.
