Hi,
I have an Oracle Standard VO( SQL Query). As per my requriemnt i extended standard VO with one new feild.Now i want to query the new VO dynamically.
How to pass the dynamic values to new query?
for refence i am giving my old query.
select
secondary_inventory_name as SubInventoryName,
description as Description,
from mtl_secondary_inventories
my new Query is like this:
select
secondary_inventory_name,
description,
Item
from mtl_secondary_inventories
where item='123456'
I want to pass this "where item="123456" as dynamically. please help where i will do the change's.

thanks pratap for quick response...but i am extending VO from Standard VO.
I have a Standard VO which contains a bind variable suppose :1.
I have extended this above standard VO and i want to add another bind variable say :2 to the custom VO.
Please tell me how will i pass bind parameter value to the bind variable in runtime ?
what are files i want to change?

is it working for restricted key figure and calculated key figure ??
Note Number Fisc Period Opening Days
1 1 2
2 1 3
3 1 0
because I have other restriction, so I create two restricted key figure..
RK1 with restriction : Total Number of Note,
RK2 with restriction : Total Opening Days ,
then I Created a calculated key figure, average opening days in a period
CK1 = RK2 / RK1..
in this case, I am not sure if it will work or not..
for example, during RK2 calclation, it might be this 2+3 = 5, the line with 0 will be ignored..
during RK1 calcualtion, it might be 1 + 1 + 1 = 3. ---> Not sure in this case, the line with opening days 0 will be calculated or not..
could you please confirm.. -
How to pass the Bound values to VO SQL Query during runtime?

I have the following sql query;

AND TRX_DATE BETWEEN NVL(:6,TRX_DATE)
AND NVL(:7,TRX_DATE)
If i click GO button on search page then it pass the selected Poplists values as a Bound values to VO Sql query at runtime after this I store the search results in a Table(Which is created by using New Region Wizard).
I want to pass the Bind parameter values to VO SQL query during runtime and :1,:2,:3,:4,:5,:6,:7 values are coming from Poplists.
I search through forum I found many threads regarding Bind Values but those all are passing ID's only not String(Varchar) values.
How to pass the Character values to VO Query.
Please anyone help me on this.

How to pass the property value to getter function
In jsp, I have a select box,like this:

<html:option value="Type3">Type3</html:option>

javascript, I use document.getElementById("chooseType").value="Type3";
however, i form.java file, using getChooseType(), I could not get the value "Type3". If I do not set the value by javascript, I just select "Type3" from GUI, value "Type3" is passed properly to the getter.
How to pass the value,set in javascript to getter?

I have got a dispatch servlet and I want the dispatch servlet to get the data and store it in a JavaBean before dispatching to the appropriate JSP page. However, I don't know how to pass the javabean to the JSP when the servlet forward the request to the JSP. Is ServletContext.setAttribute() the only way to pass the javabean to the JSP page?

EdmundYou can use HttpServletRequest.setAttribute(String name, Object javabean) to set the javabean into the HTTP request that you are forwarding to the JSP.
In the JSP, you can access the Javabean using request.getAttribute(String name) and cast it to the right class. -

However, if there is a value for ATTRIBUTE on the screen and when we press 'F4' on this then in the popup the value of
ATTRIBUTE which is there on the screen is appearing in the 'ATTRIBUTE' field and the same value is being copied to
'SERVICE_LINE' field in the popup.
Please guide me how do we populate the value to 'SERVICE_LINE' field inside the search help popup of 'ATTRIBUTE'.

So, I am facing issue in passing the parameter $fieldName:isSelected.
I tried to pass the request parameter as mentioned below in SOAP UI request payload but still this is not working and error message is: "Unable to propagate. Please select at least one field to propagate"

I am given a tabular report to build in OBIEE 11.1.1.7 version using insurance data.
I have to show different types of claim names and their corresponding count in the table. One of the calculations require me to use the total no of claims(i.e sum of all the claims).
Example:
Total No of claims: 600
Total No of Auto Claim: 60
I have to create a table on Auto Claim like:
claim types count
X 10
Y 20
Z 30
I was calculating total no of claims by using dynamic repository variable as it was a constant value. Example: repository_variable1: select count(claim ID) from Insurance; In report I was just using value of (repository_variable1)
Now client has asked us to give date prompt so the total no of claims (assumed as 600) will change with respect to period. I can calculate total no of claims with respect to different claim type (as shown in the table above) with respect to period filter in the report.
The problem I am facing now is, I need the count of all the claims on a partucular period too. Repository variable is giving always calculating the count as 600. But the count should change with respect to period selected. How to get this value?
Can I create a presentation variable in the prompt and pass this value as an argument for repository variable?
Please help. I am in urgent need of the solution.

Total No of claims in fact table: 600
Total No of Auto Claims in fact table: 60
claim types(auto claims) count Calculation

Z 30 30/600
So I need to access total no of claims to calculate. I cant use a metric as the count will take group by with respect to auto claim type and give value only for X claim. -
How to assign the dynamic value of PV to Sip Header in ICM?

I would like to ask your help, please. We are working on Temporary IVR Handoff (ICM+CVP). I need to add/modify a customer Sip header in ICM transfer script. The value for that header is dynamic and stored in the one of ICM Call Peripherial Variables (PV9, for examle).
Is it possible somehow to assign the value of that PV9 to Sip header (Set Variable Call.SipHeader)? I tried to do it but unfortunally without any success. I can assign any static string, but how to assign the value of the PV??? That's the question...
For static string assignment the syntax of the Set Variable Node (Call.SipHeader) looks like that:
"IVR-Handoff~add~It's Cisco"
and it works fine.
For dynamic value (PV9) I tried:
"IVR-Handoff~add~Call.PeripherialVariable9" - it add Call.PeripherialVariable9 as a string, but not it's value;
"IVR-Handoff"~add~Call.PeripherialVariable9 - returns a syntax error;
Call.PeripherialVariable9 - no Sip header is added.
What do you think? Is it doable at all?
Any ideas, answers or examples how to do it would be much appreciated.

Yes! It works, but with the little difference. The right answer is:
"IVR-Handoff~add~"&Call.PeripherialVariable9
(Call.PeripherialVariable9 is without quotes, otherwise it insert the name of the variable, but not it's value)

In the below scenario how do i pass the URL dynamically from context's importing parameters instead of hard coding.

B'coz the URL is going to be different in Dev, Test, Prod system. In this case i can't hardcode the URL as explained in previous treads. Or please provide the possible alternatives.
