PLEASE HELP (Very New to web content)

Hi guys. I made a website for a client in ImageReady. They
wanted to be able to update with business news on thier own, and
have me do the major site updates. I was thinking they could do
this by me creating a blog on blogger for them and trying to figure
out a way insert the blog into the website I created. I want to put
into a specific spot on the website and the client wanted it to
scroll so that customers can see previous posts. I know alot of you
think that scrolling boxes kind of suck but for this purpose I
really think it would work really cool. Can you please help me. I
have very little knowledge of code. I am actually a video motion
graphics guy, and because of my knowledge of photoshop started to
move into web. So if you have to talk to me like an infant about
the code, please do. : ) Here is the wbsite I want to add it to:

All you have is a series of interchangeable images. You
really haven't built
a website. You have built an online PowerPoint show. There is
no text. Turn
off graphics in your browser and look at your site. Is that
what you want
some visitors to see?
The mistake is building a site in Image Ready. Build your
images there but
add your text in DreamWeaver.
Sorry, but were I you I would get a good book or two and
start over. Might
as well do it right than have a competent designer tell your
client you did
it wrong.

I have recentley purchased the blackberry 8330 (Verizon). I seem to be having a lot of difficulty with the browser. For some reason I cannot access many websites or click on links from my email. the message that is coming up reads, "A problem occurred while trying to render the page." I don't understand this and cannot seem to find help anywhere on the net. I was also wondering if anyone has used to the curve with missingsync. I just purchased it last night and I am also have difficulty getting my blackberry to sync with my mac. Sorry for all the questions, I am very new to the Blackberry device. Check whetehr your browser supports java or not. Perform the following -
Go to Internet Browser -> click menu then Options -> Browser Configuration -> check Support JavaScript and Allow JavaScript popups.

Hi,
Does anyone know how to instantly refresh new/changed BEx Web content? (By refresh or reloading, I get partial update and usually take a day to see intended change show up on the Web)

You can do this in transaction SMICM > menu Goto > HTTP Server Cache > Invalidate > Global in System.
It is controlled by parameter: icm/HTTP/server_cache_0/expiration which has a deafult value of 86400 (seconds). See:

Please HELP very important video lost after restoring from backup

I used my iphone 4 to record me preposing to my fiance and then today I stupidly sync to computer and restore from my 3GS backup before backing up the video files. Is there anyway to get the video back? Please help this is the most important thing in our life. Anything, Anyone please help. I am very devastated right now!

Too be honest. If you recorded the video on the iPhone 4, and then synced the iPhone 4 to iTunes to the computer it is usually connected to, then the video should be backed up.
I'm not sure though, how you managed to have your iPhone 4 up and running, but then restore from a backup from your 3GS?? If you have synced your iPhone 4 to iTunes before, then the backup will have been from the iPhone 4. You get the option the first time you connect the iPhone 4 to iTunes, to either setup as a new device or restore from a backup (that's if you have had a iPhone previously). You can restore the iPhone (which would set it up has a new device, which would remove everything off of it). If you have done this, has far as I know the old information off of the iPhone, would be still there until you synced the iPhone to iTunes again.
In Windows, the library file for iTunes is in username (whatever you are called) music/iTunes, the library file is called iTunes Library.itl, also in this location is the iTunes/iTunes Media folder, in there should be any video/s that have been synced from your iPhone.
Other information off of the iPhone are in the following location:
(You will need to first make sure you have Windows set to show hidden files & folders), Username/AppData/Roaming/Apple Computer

Please Help - Very strange problem with internal String encoding

I created a file in one-byte russian encoding cp1251 and declared String literal with 2 letters:
String str = "ab"; //attention! ab - two russian characters
After I got bytes from it - str.getBytes("cp1251") - it returned 2 byte's array.
Now I created a file with UTF-8 encoding with equal content and suddenly:
After I got bytes from it - str.getBytes("cp1251") - it returned 4! byte's array. Why?
I need to get a one-byte encoded arrays (cp1251 or koi8-r) but getBytes ALWAYS returns two-byte encoded arrays.
It is very strange: cp1251 is always one-byte encoded, but .getBytes("cp1251") returns two-byte on each letter. Why? Please help.

I did not read a string from a file. I created 2 .java files with different encodings (cp1251 and UTF-8) and compiled them, telling compiler with -Dfile.encoding=*** to read them correctly. While execution java interprets two looking equal in editor strings as different objects with different .intern() representation.
Why java consider source .java file encoding while creating internal representation of String object and creates from looking equally in editor strings two DIFFERENT Unicode representations. And it is impossible to convert one representation to other - impossible to get two equal byte[] arrays.

Please help - Brand new X1 Carbon defective out of the box - is this normal? what should I do next?

So, as a loyal Lenovo customer I decided to purchase the X1 Carbon 2nd Gen (non-touch, I5 version).
Last week I finally received it.
Unfortunately, the first thing I noticed was a defective touchpad - very loose, the right bottom corner was not solid
enough and made a weird noise while clicking it. It drove me crazy since I am used to the top build quality the Thinkpad series offers.
I took to the local Lenovo service center, they actually replaced it on the spot and it made it better, not great but better. I still think there is something wrong there, since the bottom two "buttons" don't feet and sound as good as the upper ones.
But that I can tolarate.
The thing that really pissed me off was this: To me demise, after using the laptop in a dark room I noticed this massive screen bleed :

My question to you guys, is this okay? is this an acceptable bleed? or should I do whatever it takes to get it repaired/replaced?
I just hope they will know how to handle this here at local center, as from my experience dealing with computer reps here, the local Lenovo agent (which is actually the importer) will not replace it for me (their excuse is that it wasn't bought in this country)
This is amazing, in one year Lenovo has lost it's entire reputation over the 2nd Gen X1 carbon.
Please help me. what should I do?

Please help: User cannot see webi report data

Hi,
I've got a wired problem here in my webi report. Basically I am located in Singapore and produced a webi report for our user in UK. The report looks totally fine with all the data shown correctly. But when our report user logged into the dashboard from UK, she could only see partial data and some of the information are missing(blank cells in the report).
To verify the cause I've done the following test:
1. I remote control her computer and log into dashboard using my account, the result is I get same problem and I cannot see some of the data.
2. I let her remote control my pc and log into dashboard using her account, she no longer has this problem and can see complete data.
We use same version of IE, same JAVA version. And the report data is not time sensitive, so different time zone might not the possible cause.
This problem is killing me. Can anyone please help and let me know any possible solution? Thanks so much.

Hi Sinsin, what version of BusinessObjects are you using? Is it XI 3.1?
I don't know if it is the same problem or not, but I have seen that before when a user cannot view the data, change the font and/or background color and the data becomes visible. Reinstalling the client fixed that problem. If you couldn't figure out the root cause, you might want to consider this option.

In answer to your first question: In most apache installs, you want to place all your JSPs under the Apache/htdocs directory. This htdocs directory becomes the root directory of your HTTP request, so, for example, to access the file

you'd point your browser to

Please Help, Very Frustrated - iPhoto 11 & Canon Raw(.cr2) files

I recently started shooting raw(.cr2) with Canon 6D (on the list), while on vacation of course.... while there I loaded all my images to my Ipad to save room, due to only having my 16gb memory card with me, yesterday I decided to take them off the ipad and store them in iPhoto where all my work is stored and back it up to my external harddrive, I have tried for 4 hoursto figure out why it won't upload to iPhoto 11, nothing works, it acts as if its uploading and then after 30 mins it says unrecognizable format(see screen capture below).
I have read several other different forums and similar questions all the way back to 2005 and nothing seems to help, I tried making a smart album, updating the software, but iPhoto will not recognize the pics. I did find one forum that said use Image Capture and do it that way, It worked to move them off the ipad but only to my extrenal hard drive with no image preview, saying it cannot open the file, all I eally want to do is have them load like all my other images into iPhoto which I use almost everyday and not have to go back to shooting jpeg along...PLEASE HELP any suggestions??

Thanks everyone...I tried and even downloaded the specific software released from Canon specific for Mac for my camera a Canon 6D... Nothing worked... IPhoto never would recognize the images....
BUT ..... in case someone else has this problem... I had to jump through hoops to figure it out... but finally with the help of several forums on here... I figured out a way to save my images and have them in a jpeg format to save for my memory folder for my daughter....so I did figure out a way to make it work...
If you transfer for images from camera(in raw format .cr2) to your ipad...... and cannot load them to iphoto like me....here is how to do it....
1. I searched my Mac, it comes with a software installed called "Image Capture" find it and load your pictures on
          your ipad to a folder on your desktop for easy finding.
2. Search Google and Download Program Called Rawker....
3. Open Rawker... go to File
                              a. Select Batch - Select source Location - Select your file you saved your images in
                              b. Select File Batch - Select Source Destination - either make a file on your desktop or
                                        select where you want your newly converted RAW/jpeg images to be placed
                              c. Select File batch and Start Batch...
4. After its done with the convert - you can import that new .jpeg folder of images to your iphoto
Bunch of crazy circles because I was told it was better to shoot in Raw .cr2 ... NOT ... It might be if you have the right program but I guess none of the ones I tried worked....
Until I find a better way I will just go back to shooting in jpeg fine.

I am writing my final thesis, (more than 100 pages) and indesign crashed this moring while writing. Now the file can't open anyware anymore. I am using CS6 trial version, and even on other mac and pc it will not open anymore.
How can I get my file back? Please help me..

It's usually a bad sign when the file will no longer open even on another computer. Do you get any error messages?
Find, and empty, the InDesign Recovery folder in your user library to keep ID from crashing over and over when it tries to open the bad recovery data. (The recovery folder is in the same folder where the InDesign SavedData file is stored, and the path information for your OS can be found in Replace Your Preferences Note that this folder is gong to be a hidden folder if you run Lion, so you need to display hidden folders in your search).
Once that is done, start InDesign and use FIle > Open... to navigate to the original location where the file is saved. Tick the radio button to "Open as a COPY" and cross your fingers. If you are REALLLLLLY lucky it will open, and if it does, IMMEDIATELY export to .idml, then save the file with a new name as a backup, too. File > Open... and open the .idml file you just made, Save As to yet another name and you should be good to go.
If it doesn't open, do you have any backup copies someplace? If not, you best hope is probably Markzware: Bad InDesign or Quark File Recovery Submission Form
Now some advice on preventing this from happening again (though a crash is outside your control). First, never work directly off a removeable drive, if that's your habit. Copy the file to the hard drive, edit, then copy back to the removeable drive. Do a Save As from time to time to clear out the old, useless and inaccessible change data from previous sessions and reduce the file size. Make backup copies every day. If you do the save as each time you are done working, and add a versioning sequence to the name or something similar you take care of two birds with one stone.

Please Help: Installed new CPU (i7) now system won't boot.

But when I installed the new CPU, I get 3 Long beeps, and then my computer won't boot.

What PSU is that and what are the ratings of that PSU ? See the label on the side.
Are you trying to use the onboard graphics?

Sky Hub keeps disconnecting... please help? New customer...

Hello there, I am a new customer to Sky only joining last month, and my broadband hub keeps disconnecting. I use wifi which is normally good, but the last week or so, every day our hub shows an Orange face, which I know sometimes means it's updating, so I leave it for one hour or more, and it still does not show white and we cannot connect to wifi. We have to restart the modem everytime for it to work, and have to keep doing this every day now... please help? As i dont think we should have to keep restarting our hub everyday for it to work. That might well be one of the most ridiculous posts I've seen on here.
If you want help then provide us with more information including your router statistics,the exact issue/issues your having along with what Sky have so far done to try to rectify them.
