QuickTime Pro .mov files can have up to 99 tracks and they are easy to make. They can have any dimension and can even play without a window "box".

You can even use transitions that do not get rendered as "video" which keeps the file size very small. My "Redneck" video is under 4MB's in file size.

It would be easier to just fix whatever is making your machine slow.

AppleWorks is a very old application and requires Rosetta to run under recent systems.
Lion does not include Rosetta.

the mute button is a switch you need to flip, not touch. if you look at it and see color, its on.

Sheesh. That looks hard. I think it will fall over at this point:
"Connect to my Exchange mailbox using HTTP" 'cos Thunderbird uses only the regular email protocols: POP, IMAP and SMTP.
Here (at work) we have in the past have had IMAP and SMTP enabled on our Exchange server so Thunderbird could then connect just like to any other regular internet-based service.
With the change here to outlook365/outlook 2010 I've had to switch to using DavMail which lets Thunderbird talk to the mail server using OWA.
I haven't (seriously) tried Exquilla. Whilst I have great respect for its author and some of his other add-ons, I saw no reason to use an add-on that required payment when DavMail works for free.

If you log into your email account at your providers web mail page are the emails in your Inbox there? Thunderbird downloads messages that are in your Inbox. If the messages are not there it cannot download them.
Check the spam folder at your providers site. They might be there.

Your phone is not charging you. I think you may want to go and change your password on your apple id as it might be comprimised. Also talk to apple about any erronious charges.

99.9% of the time, the cause of this issue is the fact the phone was jailbroken/hacked to unlock it for use on networks other than the network the phone was originally locked to. Apple maintains a database of officially unlocked iPhones, and when Apple's servers detect phones such as yours, activation stops & you get the message you got.
So, you need to get a sim card from the carrier the phone was originally locked to, or get it officially unlocked, if you want to activate it. Because it appears that it was not officially unlocked.
Apple has started to get "tough" with hacked iPhones, & simply won't permit their activation.

in Iphoto on macbook pro, the 'import selected' button blacked out, only 'import all photos' works, pls tell me how to get this to work. i'd like to transfer only selected photos to ipad. Have tried to import by copy/paste method into itunes but still cannot be done, every way i've tried is restricted. I don't want to send all my photos through email. neither do i want to use icloud. all i simply want is to have only selected photos sent through my USB cable connected from my macbook pro to send photos to Ipad. It seems Apple have made these strange restrictions for whatever purpose i don't know.

If you went through the 5 Rs step by step and you're still having problems, it might be time to find an iPod repair service. Apple will charge you as it's out of warranty. You can probably find third party repair outfits that will do it more cheaply.

You would have to buy Pages for your ipad from the App store.
The program you bought is for your Mac. it does not work on your ipad. They are completely different platforms.
