Please help, urgent! How to hold the connection to oracle database
I used java to connect Oracle database using thin driver. But I found out the connection will be closed very soon if I did not make any request of query. I query the database like after 1 mins without doing anything, my application will dead for about 2 mins, then everything become normal again.
How can I hold the connection or is there any other solution? thank you!Duffy is, as usual, correct. If you have a single-user environment, then holding onto a connection is probably okay (not desirable but also not pernicious). However, once you have more than one user, you will want to use a connection pool. Jakarta Commons (jakarta.apache.org) has an open source pool that is reliable.
But the fact that you are having additional problems makes me believe you are missing a few fundamental concepts, such as transactions. Even if the connection dropped, you should be able to reconnect without issue (granted, with some additional latency). The only time it would pose an issue (above and beyond the ones mentioned above and in previous replies) is if you are not managing your transactions properly.
In short, take some tutorials on JDBC, DataSource, connection pools and transaction management.

I'm in Nova Scotia, Canada and when I try to use Siri it loads and loads and then says, "I'm really sorry about this, but I can't take any requests right now. Please try again in a little while."
I rebooted and it didn't fix the problem. I just got my iPhone 4s (unlocked right from Apple) several weeks ago.Siri has been a bit more erratic than usual in the last week or so. Apple has announced a major announcement for 9/12. Conclusions are left to the reader.

I have been using FIREFOX since a long time back and am quite happy with FIREFOX 4.
But a little uncanny situation since release of FIREFOX RC is that 'Reload which used to come under view option is no longer visible,but appears as an icon(button) in toolbar...which sometimes doesn't work(becomes blur and sometimes firefox hangs)'.

Does this Problem happen often? I have had my Iphone5 for about two weeks and this is the first time I have
had the problem. My 3gs used Siri to dial phone numbers or use the address book to dial and I never had a problem with it.

Why is happening? And this as been going for two week nowThis type of response means that Siri can't connect to Apple's servers, so this means Apple's severs are down. if this continues over a long amount of time ask someone at an Apple store.

You may want to try and reset all settings
Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings
Note: Data will not be affected but settings for Wi-Fi, FaceTime, Message, Home Sharing, Wall Paper, Sound etc will be reset -

on iphone enable your mobile data uncheck to green (enambled) works great ring and shows who ringing may work on 4s and five not tested please try get back to me thanks

After installing Mountain Lion, iMessages and Facetime does not work. When I try to sign-in I get a message that says: The server encountered an error processing registration. Please try again later. After 4 calls to apple and 8 and a half hours on the phone. The apple people does not how to solve the problem. The last thing they told me is that they will send the problem to their engineers and I will hear from them. unfortunately they have not contact me.

Does anyone know what is causing this error?
