PLM Design to Release PIP Installation Issue

Hi,
I was trying to install PLM Design to Release PIP on existing installation of FP2.4 on Linux.
Installation went successful through GUI but when I was doing verification as per installation document I found that some of the EBS Service and BPEL Processes are not deployed.
There are may errors in installation log file log file like "CommonComponents.xsd:265:48: src-resolve: Cannot resolve the name 'IdentificationType' to a(n) 'type definition' component"
But there is no error regarding specific processes which have not got deployed .
Basically ABCSImpl and ABCS services are not visible/deployed.
Let me know if anybody has came across this issue and possible solution.
Regards
Shyam

Hello Shyam,
I am pretty new with this Integration - Agile 9.2.2.4 & Oracle EBS 12.1.1 . I have just gone through the Installation Guide for Oracle Application Integration Architecture 2.2. I have started downloading the necessary products from E-Delivery.
I am planning to install everything from scratch on windows 2003. With your experience could you give me some tips (do's & do-not's, right version, patches, sequence) that I should consider during the installation process?
Thanks,
Sam

  • Design Premium CS 5 installation issues

    Hi All,
I have downloaded the trial version for Design Premium CS 5 and tried to install it. When I choose the path to install, it goes to next screen and after some time, it says "Insert the Design Premium CS5 English DVD". I tried by burning the downloaded trial exe in a DVD too. It is not working. Can anybody suggest me a good way t install the trial version.
    Thanks in advance,
    Bal

If you have downloaded the installer to your local disk and run it from there it should not prompt for the DVD unless there was a problem with the download. You may want to download it again and retry.

  • Oracle 10g Database Release 1 Installation Issue

    Hi:
The install seems to finish everything without a problem except when it's configuring the Configuration Assistants, specifically the Oracle Database Configuration Assistants (after succeeding Oracle Net Configuration Assistant and iSQL*Plus Configuration Assistant).
The configuration stopped at 2% during the progress as it's copying database files (cloning database creation) and a pop-up flagged "ORA-12638: Credential retrieval failed". If I click "Ignore" then the same message will come up again. I can keep clicking ignore to have it finished the process but at the end it will flag: "Enterprise manager configuration failed due to the following error - 'job_queue_processes' must be greater than or equal to 1..." Then the install showed the configuration "Succeeded" and I exited out of the install.
When I open the Oracle Enterprise Manager Console from the Oracle Client package options of the Windows Start Menu and try to connect to the ORCL_LOCALHOST database, I typed in the default username and password that was assigned during the install ("orcl" and "orcl") and I pop-up warned that "SID given in connect descriptor could not be resolved." Does anyone know what goes wrong here? I have selected all the default option during the install except I have selected a single password for multiple databse items and assigned the single password "orcl" for all instances. Hence "orcl" is the only term I have used for username, database name, SID and password. Will that generate an issue or there's another problem that's affecting my progress.
My ultimate goal is to be able to connect to the database and create some schemas. Hope this details my problem and please feel free to request more info if necessary. Thanks and have a nice day.

I got around it by editing the network/admin/sqlnet.ora file as follows:SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES= (NONE)
and running the config assistant manually (./bin/dbca.bat, accepting all defaults).
    hope that helps!

  • Designer 6i Release 2 makes Oracle 8.1.7 installation impossible!!!

    Hi,
Designer 6i Release 2 makes Oracle 8.1.7 installation impossibleon Windows 2000 Server!!!
After I uninstalled Designer 6i Rel2 through the Oracle Installer and then manually deleted all the left directories and Oracle registry entries I found HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE\ALL_HOMES\ID0\"\Registry Backup" entries that are not removable! Designer documentation says it's OK and that it won't do any harm. But it does! I have absolutely "Oracle free" machine, and why I try install Oracle 8.1.7, Oracle Installer pops up and after I click on "install products" closes and nothing happens.
    Please, help me:
    1) delete these registry entries;
    2) maybe there are some dlls I need to delete in order to make Oracle 8.1.7 work.
P.S. I have to mention that Oracle Forms developer 6i Rel 2 was installed on top of the Designer in the same home (only Client Forms and Reports). But I cleaned up everything as described erlier.
I think, it is critical not only for me to solve this problem ASAP.
    Thank you.

    Hello guys
I had this problems for weeks, I could not reinstall Oracle 8.1.7 on Windows 2000 Advanced Server with the Universal Installer, it was all the time frozing after the splash screen. In my registry, I found the unremovable oracle entries (3) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE\ALL_HOMES\ID0\"\Registry Backup". Here is what I did to clean (sort of) the registry. By the way, reinstalling Win2K was out of the question.
I download Resplendence Registar 2.03 from http://www.resplendence.com. I made a binary backup of my registry using RR. Then I edit the backup with an hex editor (I use textpad from http://www.textpad.com). I search for the oracle entries (ORACLE in uppercase), found two. I replace them with ZZZZZZ. I saved the file and restored the registry with RR. Now, I have a ZZZZZZ unremovable entry, but it does not interfere with the Oracle Universal Installer. I was then able to reinstall Oracle 8.1.7 and Designer6i.
Now, I have a new problem. I have two oracle home
    OEE with Oracle8i EE 8.1.7
    ORANT with Oracle Designer6i
When I try to connect to my remote database Oracle8i EE 8.1.6 on Linux with SQL*Plus 8.1.7 everything is OK. But when I try to connect using SQL*Plus 8.0.6 that comes with Designer6i I get the error ORA-12571: TNS:packet writer failure. The config files tnsnames.ora and sqlnet.ora are the same on both oracle homes. If you have any clues, please let me known, I'm out of them.
PS After 12 years working with Oracle products, this is my worst year. The product development it totally out of control. The products are huge, buggy, incomplete and incompatible. I hope we will survive this storm :o)

I'm sorry you're running into installation issues with AIR.  Microsoft has just released a new utility that can help resolve installation problems.  Would you mind giving this a try and let us know how it works for you?  When running the Fix it, go through the uninstall process and try to remove Adobe AIR from your system.  Once finished, download the latest version of AIR and install again.
Microsoft Install and Uninstall Fix It
If you still encounter problems, I created a vb script called AIR zapper that might also help.  You can find it on this post: http://forums.adobe.com/message/3737276#3737276
    Thanks,

  • Designer 6i Release 2 : Client

i downloaded Designer 6i Release 2 from technet. i am now reading the Installation Guide and it seems that for the 'Client and Server on separate machines' configurations they support, the client can only have Windows NT or 2000. i only have Windows 98 on my laptop and a 8.1.6 database on a Linux box on the office network. is it therefore a lost cause ?
    thanks,
    Briti

    Hi,
I (think) it's possible to install the client on Windows 98 (but this is not a supported configuration).
You should see the "Known Problems and Restrictions" section in the Release notes:
    http://otn.oracle.com/docs/products/designer/doc_library/6i_release2/deshlp72/des2k_relnotes/rn_des_6i.htm
The Repository will work fine on an 8.1.6 Oracle Linux installation.

What exactly do you want to do with Designer? You need to install the Designer repository in a Oracle database before you can use Designer.
I suggest that you read the Repository Installation Guide (installed with the product or on OTN) and then go through the Designer Tutorial on OTN (http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/designer/9i_collateral.htm#tut) to understand some Designer concepts.

  • Please Insert Adobe CS3 Design Premium to Continue Installation

    Hey there,
I purchased the download version of CS3 Design Premium 3 years ago. I backed up the program to a DVD-R and my external hardrive. My computer crashed and I found was unable to install from my back up copies but was able to download it from adobe.com and installation from the downloaded files went smoothly.
When I reinstalled the suite on my Windows Vista Business HP Desktop, however, I decided not to install Dreamweaver. I just tried to install it now. All was going well until I was prompted to insert the CS3 Design Premium installation disc. I inserted the back up disc I made (no other files on it) and the message box won't budge.
All the CS3 components are working great on my system, I just would like to add Dreamweaver. I also would like to protect myself should the download link become unavailable in the future (right now I'm downloading the suite to my computer). Plus it'd be sweet not to have to wait 3 hours to download each time if possible.
So my question is could someone please assist me in making a backup of my software that works so I can reinstall the suite or individual programs in the future?
Thank you, thank you, thank you. And thank you again.
    Liz
Update: I signed into My Adobe and downloaded CS3 to my desktop, unzipped files, and proceeded to install a few components (after deactivating CS) and the same thing happened - Please Insert Adobe CS3 Design Premium to Continue Installation. I have legal copy of this software that was nearly 2,000, and I can't seem to find any solution after searching for hours on end. I've considered buying an upgrade (the box/disc version) but I'm not sure I'd be able to upgrade if I can't get CS3 to move beyond this error message. I'm feeling frazzled If anyone could help me clear this hurdle I would be so grateful.

    Hey Mylenium,
I appreciate your taking the time to write. I have the files backed up on a 500GB WD Passport. I also burned the files on cd and dvd. You hit the nail on the head with the installer getting hung up on searching for "the magic key." Thanks for the advice re more damage than good re installing separate apps. Too bad it was listed an option if it doesn't truly work. Otherwise I would have installed everything on my system the first time round. Helpful to know know for the future..
My concern about uninstalling everything is that I may run into the same issue during installation. As mentioned prior, I was able to reinstall my software after my computer crashed but only from the download link on adobe.com. Yesterrday an adobe rep told me that the link to my purchased download is only active for 3 years. I purchased my software in March 08 and the link allowed me to download just fine but his comment concerned me. Do you know if Adobe has any plans to deactivate links for prior purchases?
I plan on upgrading but believe I will need access to my original software for the upgrade to work. Or does one get a full copy of the software when upgrading to CS 5.5 with a valid license? I know that my Intuit and Microsoft Suite products work that way.

    Dear Revel users:
We are aware of the installation issues people are experiencing with the latest iOS version release, and we are very sorry for the inconvenience it has caused.
We do rigorous testing prior to all releases, but unfortunately an unexpected interoperability issue has occurred with the way our App is getting bundled up for delivery to customers. We are working closely with Apple to resolve the issue as soon as possible, and we've re-submitted an update to see if this can help us narrow down the failure. Thank you for your patience. Meanwhile, feel free to access Revel via your web browser, Mac, windows 8, Android devices.

  • WVC54GCA Installation issue

I have read a few posts re installation issues and 192.168.1.115 ip errors trying to get the camera to work. I dont find a resolution that helps me so thought I would post before I launch the camera with trash!
    Im hooked up on a netgear WNR854T router on with gateway 192.168.11.1. When running setup the settings reproted back are;
    Status:             Unconfigured
    Camera Name:  MyCamera
    NW Config:       DHCP
    IP:                   192.168.1.115
    SN Mask          255.255.255.0
    DF GW            0.0.0.0
I then proceed through set up, setting both DHCP and static on different attempts and manualy configuring wireless as it fails to find on search or after many refresh.
    Encryption is - WPA-PSK [TKIP] + WPA2-PSK [AES]
I have tried many hard reboots all without success, receiving "Save configuration has failed!"
I am running W7 and camera does not appear in [Network] and so far has not apperead under [Attached Devices] on router.
    HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

WVC54GCA Camera works on the DHCP. If you hardwired the Camera to the Router, your router should automatically assign a IP to your Camera. To know the camera IP address you need to login to the camera setup page and under the DHCP Client table list you will find the Camera IP address. Using that IP address you can login to your camera and make the changes on it.
If its not listed under the DHCP Client table list, then you need to Press and Hold the reset button on your camera for 30sec.. Release the Reset button and then after 30sec plug the power to the Camera.... Now check if the Camera is listed under the DHCP Client table. If yes then you can use that IP address to login to the camera setup page and make the changes on your Camera.

  • Oracle database 11g release 2 installation problem on windows 7 (64-bit)

First of all my windows is not genuine, but on my friend's desktop oracle download and installation  worked fine, he chose "create and configure database" options, and it works very well on his desktop, though his windows is also illegitimate. In my case, when I select "Create and configure database" option and pressed 'next",
(Go to my blog to see it with snapshots: Computer Science: Oracle database 11g release 2 installation problem on windows 7 (64-bit))
it asks to select class, I select "Desktop class" and pressed "next". The moment I pressed "next", the whole setup thing disappeared like it was never started. I searched for all possible reasons for why its not getting installed on my laptop, I used registry cleaner s/w,  deleted 25 GB of data to create free space if it were the problem, increased the virtual memory to increase the space for RAM, I did almost everything to get this setup working, but I found no success with the "Create and Configure database" option
    and
    then
I chose a "database software only" option and chose to store in a folder w/o spaces. This way, I got database s/w only and then later I found "Database configuration Assistant (DBCA)"  from windows START button and clicked to create and configure database manually. The steps are pretty much interactive and doesn't involve much brainstorming.
    The values I filled for
    1) Global Database Name :  orcl
    2) System Identifier : orcl
    3) I chose common password for both SYS and SYSTEM
    4) while on Enterprise Manager Configuration step, It asked me to create and configure listener in oracle home, so for that too, I typed "netca" in windows START menu and clicked it. There I added a listener.
    5) I chose a Storage area which was the Oracle-home itself i.e. where our installation files goes , in my case it is : C:\oracle_base\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\oradata
    6) Then after few more nitty-gritty clicks, we are set to go !
Finally to write SQL code and to create your first TABLE , type "sqlplus" in windows "START" menu and click it when it appears. A command-prompt like window appears , which will ask you for username and password, so here they are :
    Username : sys/ as sysdba
Password : (its the one you created in step 3 stated above )
After this you are ready to write your first SQL command.

Is this your solution to your original post at Oracle database 11g release 2 installation on windows 7 (64-bit) ?
Pl be aware that you should not create any custom objects in SYS or SYSTEM schema - you should create any such objects in a separate custom schema.

  • Lightroom 4.2 Installation Issue

Leaving this around in case anyone else has the same problem -- Solution found -- Windows installer issues / registry issues -- used the Microsoft Fix it tool (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2438651#reso3) to correct.  4.2 install ran fine.
I've read through the posts in the Lightroom forum regarding  LR 4.2 install issues. I will list here the things I've done to try to get the install to work:
    1) Downloaded the installation software twice.
    2) Ran the setup program in admin user mode.
    3) Ran the install in admin user mode.
    4) Get the following error in a Windows Installer window:
The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.
Click ok to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'Adobe_Lightroom_x64.msi' in the box below.
    Use source:
    c:\Users\RMJF\AppData\Local\Temp\{...}
What I have found (after displaying hidden AppData folder):
The location where the .msi file resides is different from the one defaulting in the above window.
I select this alternate path, but still cannot complete the installation.
Furthermore, when I cancel the install, I get this error:
Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.2 64-bit Installer Info
Error 1714. The older version of Adobe Photoshop Lightoom 4.2 64-bit cannot be removed. Contact your technical support group
I have been running LR since the beginning of time and most recently LR 4.1, so there is no 4.2 installed.
Also, I tried to fix the install of 4.1 via the programs in Control Panel. I cannot repair it and get this error:
The installation source for this product is not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can access it.
All versions (except the 1.0 version) were downloaded and installed from the Adobe LR site.
    So, looking for suggestions.
Seems like there are some missing files from the 4.1 version that are hindering the install of 4.2???
All quite frustrating.  Hope you can get me to a speedy solution.
(System info:  Windows Vista 64-bit Home, SP 2, 20 GB of disk space to spare!  Also, I have set the install program to be allowed by the anti-virus program. I have run a registry clean-up, as well.  No other apps are running during the install.)
