Plot name same as file name

hai ,
good morning. i would like to know is it possible than when i open a text file to be plotted as a graph (from pop up directory) the plot name to be same as the file name which i opened. for example when i open file (test1) to be plotted. the plot name on the graph will be test1. the file name is not fixed. thanks

You need to get the file name from the file path and give as a plot name.See the attached example.

That's specified in the JLS. See � 7.6, Top Level Type Declarations.

I can not transfer date from one hard drive to another, I keep getting an error because I have two of the same file names and one file name is in caps and I cant change the file name

My original external has an error and needs to be reformatted but I dont want to lose this informations its my entire Itunes library.

Sounds like the source drive is formatted as case sensitive and the destination drive is not. The preferred format for OS X is case insensitive unless there is a compelling reason to go case sensitive.
Why can't you change the filename? Is it because the source drive is having problems? If so is this happening with only one or two or a few files? If so the best thing would be to copy those over individually and then rename them on the destination drive.
If it is more then you can do manually and you can't change the name on the source you will have to reformat the destination as case sensitive.
Btw this group is for discussion of the Support Communities itself, you;d do better posting to Lion group. I'll see if a host will move it.

How to keep same sender file name for receiver mail attachement

Hi,
i am working with File to Mail scanario. There i want to pick a flat file from native file system and then send it as email attachment. Now i am able to send the file but the flat is getting converted as an xml file. is there any method to keep the same sender file name and type for receiver mail attachment. i am not using any mail package. i am using XI payload and keep attachments.

Yes,With out using the mail package u can send the Mail Attachments to the receiver side,
In that case no need of Integration Repository objects.

Configure receiver file name as Sender file name

Hi All,
In PI7.1. We have scenario(file to file). Here the sender system send multiple files and In the receiver system we need to populate the same filenames as Sender file Names.
Could you please let me know is there a configuration to have Receiver file schem name As like sender file names.

Hi Naga,
This can be achieved using either variable substitution or Dynamic Configuration by enabling Adapter Specific Message Attributes in sender and receiver file channels.
If the sender file name and receiver file name needs to be exactly same then just check Adapter Specific Message Attributes in advanced tab of both sender and receiver channels. Check on File Name under that.

You could use the field name to the File Name. For that you could go ahead with variable substituiton in receiver communication channel.
In receiver Communication channel use variable substitution as
In file name -- %Var1%
In Variable substitution parameter give Var1 ---> payload:<field Name>

Change the Finder search default to Find by Name (search by file name) rather than Find by Content

I just discovered another way to set the finder Find option to default to "find by name" (search by file name). I'm using Mac OS X 10.8.5 Mountain Lion. I'm not sure if this works on other OS versions, but it probably does.
Here's a step by step:
#1: Open System Preferences
#2: Click on "Keyboard"
#3: Click on "Keyboard Shortcuts"
#4: Click on "Application Shortcuts" (on my system this was the last item located on the left-hand side window)
#5: Click the little "+" right below the right-hand side window
#6: Click on the "Application" menu and choose "finder.app"
#7: Click into the field "Menu Title:" and type "Find by Name..." (Type it exactly like that including the three dots. Don't type the quotes BTW.)
#8: Click into the field "Keyboard Shortcut:" and press the command-key and F at the same time. It should look like this ⌘F
#9: Close System Preferences
That's it. Basically what you are doing is remapping the command-F key (⌘F) to "Find By Name".
I tried to post this to other previous discussions asking this same question, but they were all locked.

Apple doesn’t routinely monitor the discussions. These are mostly user to user discussions.

I am testing one program. Selection screen has 3 parameters, File Id, Logical File Name and Physical file name. In Physical File name, i am giving complete file name with path. But it is giving error. Please tell me, what is File id and what all information i need to enter for logical file name and physical file name.

As far as creating the Logical path its done through the transaction code file by using options
Steps are:
1. Logical file path definition which is logical file path name.
2. Assignment of physical path to logical path - where we give the physical path to the logical path name defined in the last step.
After creating the Logical path the procedure to attach the file name to the Logical path is as follows:
Use the function Module C13Z_FRONT_END_TO_APPL to upload the file from the front end to the application server.
Source file on front end will be the CSV file path which is to be uploaded to the application server
Target file on application server will be the physical path of the file on the application server where the file is to be uploaded.
Attach the physical path of the file on the application server to the Logical file using transaction code file.
Logical File: The Logical name of the file which will be used by the interfaces to upload the file
Physical file: The name of the physical file on the application server
Logical path: The path of the physical file on the application server where it is stored.
The possible reason for the use of Logical file name could be we can have directories within SAP in which we can have logical files stored. These files can be used by various interfaces. Different Logical paths can be used for different interfaces. the second reson can be to give more user friendly name to the file rather than a long physical name to the file.

PDF file transfer writing target file with the same source file name

Hi to all,
I want to transfer a PDF file from a SOURCE folder to a TARGET folder. My problem is that I want the target pdf file has the same name of the source pdf file. How can I do this? I have to look for some parameters in the sender or receiver channels?

If you want to FTP the pdf file from source to target directory, use this blog. It doesn't require any IR devlopment.

My scenario is I have an xyz.xml file coming and i need to have the same file name in the receiver but with a different extension as xyz.csv and the source file name will not be the same, it will be changing.

I have a source file which is dynamic all the time. Can I create a target file which has the same name as the source file but with a different extension.
Scenaio is file to file.
test. xml is the source file name and the target file name should be as test.csv

How to make Title same as File name using Batch?

I will be having hundreds of PDFs each month that will need info in the Tile field in Document properties. We create our PDFs from Quark using Distiller. I have found an option in the Batch process in Acrobat for editing the Document properties. Is there something I can enter in the title field that would instruct it to pull the file name as the title? I compare this to using &File in Word when instructing it to include the file name in the header area. Anyone know of any way to do this? I have seen multiple posts to the Acrobat forum regarding similar issues, but none with any responses as to how to accomplish this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
