Sorry about the corny subject. I needed attention :-)
A wish list (which I will try and post to bugdb)
1. Clicking on the customize link in the Portlet header of a HTML portlet reveals the html source. Not a very good thing, but showing a portlet's header is slick, so we need control over who can see the 'customize' hyperlink.
2. Access to the header of every page, so that we can specify JavaScripts/CSS etc.
3. The blurb (or Property sheet) is a security hazard as it reveals the full path to the folder. I was able to access folders on one commercial Portal implementation.
4. In 3.0.7.6.2, clicking on edit defaults or customize, which shows up on a portlet when you expose a folder or content area causes a no data found error. I am checking this with separate installs, to make sure that I am not working with a corrupt install.
5.The ability to link a tab to a content area
or a folder would be great. Currently, you can expose a content area as a portlet and put it in a tabbed section. But, click on any link and you end up in the content area. this way we can have a constant header across areas.
6. In place display still doesn't work.
My apologies for griping, but I figured I would share my Client's grouches with you.

Thanks for lending me an ear. We just finished a dev. build of the Portal for our customer. The points below are items that fell in the 'Oh! we know this is a problem' or 'Why don't you file an enhancement req' category.
1. We need to have control over folder and content area display. What I mean is being able to hide the Edit Folder link, being able to control the Greeting message etc.
2. Specifying Content Area and Folder access and levels of access to groups needs to be consistent. In case of content areas, you have only 3 options:administer,manage style, make public. When you have a folder or a page there are a different set of options. Users can't understand why it is not consistent as in view, manage, add only, control style only, personal look and feel, etc.
3 Deleting folders or sub-folders from the Content Areas => Content Area => Contents=>Folders eturns a plsql gateway did not return a response error (which is believe is a problem with he gateway and not the Portal).
4 Being able to control the look and feel and behaviour of a portlet by accessing the
runtime record. Currently, you can access the portlet_record in the portlet ,and
in the provider you can set the runtime properties. But, providing access at the portlet evel, so that it can control its own behaviour will be awesome.
Also, do you think it is possible to have an 'Available Portlets' feature. User can get direct access to portlets that they/their group can see and drag them to their pages.
5.Pop-ups in Master-Detail have issues: they end up populating the wrong fields. It would be great if a popup could populate both base table and non-base table items.
6: A preview feature. This sounds silly, but when you are designing a page, having to make 2-3 clicks before seeing the effect of your changes is a pain.
7. The ability to apply a page style (not the UI template available from Shared Objects) to an application component.
8. We had cases where the do_event javascript function would remain as part of the Javascripts in the header. This happened if we created say a form, did not add any Javascript event handler and then in the edit mode went back and added one.
9. We upgraded our db to 8.1.6.2 and there are still issues with inplace display. But, guess you can''t fault the Portal for that.

Every single question regarding signatures in this forum generates the same genric response from adobe - "forms central does not support signatures......"
I cannot belive there is not the ability within Adobe to add this feature to a piece of software who's name includes the word "Form". This is a fundamental requirement of most paper forms; to validate the data/information contained within it. When you fill in a (paper) form and send it to someone, you usually have to sign it!
I would like to see a signature, either digital or electronic (drawn) added to the field items available when creating forms, or importing pdf forms.
Who else would like this feature added?
If enough interest is generated, please Adobe, can you look to add the feature?

I'll be one to disagree, and say that it's not terribly important, nor is there any way to verify who is filling out your form unless you have it behind some sort of authentication "wall". And even if you've done that, the only thing you can verify is who got the respondent up to the point of filling in the form... not who actually filled it out.
If you want to have some tiny level of assurance of who is submitting the data, have the form responses sent to the e-mail address of the respondent, with the instructions that they must then forward that e-mail to you from their work, school, or other known/verified e-mail account.
Unless you have a form which is served from a secure site, and the form is able to verify responses or ask and verify unique information that only you and the respondent would know, there is no way to be 100% certain of who filled in and submitted your form. If you need that level of verification, you should look to another product or process.

If you wanted FaceTime, you should not have purchased your phone in the UAE. There is no way to add it back to your phone, as it has been permanently removed.

Invisibility: Is there an add on or plug-in that will add this feature?

I know in the windows version of AIM/Dead AIM there is an "eyeball" you can click and it will make you invisible to other people online. You can still send messages to anyone, people just cannot actually tell you are signed on.
I know that there is not a feature that is built into iChat for this, but does anyone know of a plug in or add on (like Chax) that will add this feature?

in Leopard, you can change your iChat status to invisible. So the world will think you’re offline. Even when you aren’t. Pretty sneaky, huh?
You can message same as you always can when visible.

Unable to add replication feature in sql server 2012 web edition

We are using SQL Server 2012, Web edition and when it was installed replication is not an added feature so I tried to add this feature but getting below error.
Error: There are no SQL Server instances or shared features that can be updated on this computer.
Description: The version of SQL Server instance MSSQLSERVER does not match the version expected by the SQL Server update. The installed SQL Server product version is 11.1.3000.0, and the expected SQL Server version is 11.0.2100.60
And also please let me know how to identify the default file location of the setup file 'setup.exe' for SQL Server 2012 (Webedition, 64bit) Grateful to your time and support.
I'm using "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\110\Setup Bootstrap\Update Cache\KB2777772\QFE\setup.exe" to add replication feature, please correct me if I'm wrong.

It looks like you are trying to add Replication Components, however, you are using the Cumulative update package 5 setup, which is wrong.
Note that you will not find the setup file for SQL Server on your file system, it will be on your installation media.
To install SQL Server Replication Components, locate your installation media and run Setup.exe. Select the add features to an existing instance option, select your instance, and add replication components.

Does you display adapter have a supported GPU with at least 512MB of Vram? And do you have the latest device drivers install with Open GL support. Use CS6 menu Help>System Info... use its copy button and paste the information in here.

Use PSI to add the LocalCustomField Text1 to Project

Hello.
Iam using the PSI to read and update local CustomFields like Text1, Text2, Flag1, ...
For example I found Text1 by using the GUID 00039b7-8bbe-4ceb-82c4-fa8c0b400033
Everything works fine but Iam not able to add these fields to new Projects. I always get the error: CustomFieldInvalidUid
So I can read and update Text1 but Iam not able to add this field to new Projects.
Isn't it possible with PSI?

Hello,
I would say this is not possible using the PSI as you will need to create that local custom field in the other project which requires Project client. I would recommend using Enterprise Custom fields if you want to use these across projects.

What is the best way to add ADFUtils to our projects

We want to use ADFUtils of FOD applications in our projects as a general lib.
we include this lib to our many projects so we don't want to copy it.
But ADF util is a .java file not jar file.
how can we add ADF util as a lib to our projects ?
Do we need to convert java file to *.jar file for using library ?

Hi,
You will definitely have to make a jar archive from the file if you want to include it as a library in your projects. Either that, or to have some master project with that class, which all other projects depend from.
Or, if you use SVN, you can set it as externals property, that way you could maintain the class on one place and include it in all of your projects through SVN.

No one here will help you violate iTunes terms of service or steal music.

I can no longer drag a link to a folder -- a Windows folder -- to save it. This feature is (was) very useful as I could save links relevant to my work in the folder for the project.

In previous versions I have been able to drag the icon from the address bar to a Windows folder, producing a clickable link in that folder.
I even have FAQ and Help files on various web sites advising people to do that as it is very useful to have links to web sites in a folder relevant to the content of the folder.

This is very frustrating -- this feature worked in ver. 3, not sure about 4, but now FF 5 has removed it. This is important enough to me to either revert to v. 3 or use Opera (see below).
IE v. 8 has removed it too.
Opera v. 11 will do it -- but it only saves to the desktop and not to folders, so you have to drag the icon to the desktop and then drag it into the folder.
I use this regularly with presentations -- will be doing one next weekend -- and I take it on a USB memory stick to someone else's computer. I can click on a link in the presentation folder and have that page open in their default browser. It does me no good to have the link in my bookmarks back at my office.

Before Mountain Lion and Aperture 3.4 Iphoto libraries would show up as a project. Can I still have this feature? I want to keep my iphoto libraries on another drive but now it appears the only way I can have Aperture search all libraries for a photo is to merge the aperture library with all the iphoto libraries. In the past the photos were referenced photos in their orginal libraries but now we are creating one big aperture library. Does this make sense? I liked the old way were the iphoto libraries showed up in the left window as a project. Does anyone know of a work around?

Try trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder.
(On 10.7 or later: Hold the option (or alt) key while clicking on the Go menu in Finder to access the User Library)
(Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
What's the plist file?
For new users: Every application on your Mac has an accompanying plist file. It records certain User choices. For instance, in your favourite Word Processor it remembers your choice of Default Font, on your Web Browser is remembers things like your choice of Home Page. It even recalls what windows you had open last if your app allows you to pick up from where you left off last. The iPhoto plist file remembers things like the location of the Library, your choice of background colour, whether you are running a Referenced or Managed Library, what preferences you have for autosplitting events and so on. Trashing the plist file forces the app to generate a new one on the next launch, and this restores things to the Factory Defaults. Hence, if you've changed any of these things you'll need to reset them. If you haven't, then no bother. Trashing the plist file is Mac troubleshooting 101.

I've no idea why either.
Although it isn't normally possible to sync an iPod/iPad/iPhone with two computers (or manually manage an iPhone from more than one) it can be achieved if all computers have copies of the self same library. See Re: how do i sync on a second laptop without the data on my iPhone 5 being erased?
