Plugging in Jukebox Nomad II makes Windows XP fre

After working for more than 2 years with the Nomad II (=0GB version) without any problems on the same pc I now have the problem that when I plug in the Nomad II and start the Jukebox Playcenter Windows XP home freezes. Nothing but a restart helps here. I re-installed the latest drivers and The Jukebox Playcenter but this didn't work. I resetted the Nomad II but that didn't work either.
I can not install new firmware because even when I don't use Jukebox Playcenter software the computer hangs as soon as I connect the Nomad II.
Can anyone help please?

Additional info: 20 songs, 02 albums. I get no error code, the pc just hangs.

Okay, here's the problem. I've been putting music on my Zen Touch for weeks, and it's all worked out fine. Now, when I try to copy something to the Disk, it freezes my computer. The only problem is, Notmad Trial Edition won't let me send it to the PC. I'd have to buy the full version. Being 4 years old, this poses a problem. By chance, is there any other programs to use to transfer them? Thanks a lot.

How to make windows 8.1 compatible with dng converter 8.1?

I have installed the DNG Converter 8.1 so that I can view/edit RAW files on Photoshop Elements 12, but Windows 8.1 states "the source folder does not contain any supported camera raw files". I have an Sony Alpha 6000 (version 8.4), and have moved the RAW files into a folder on my C drive. DNG Converter won't work even if I run it on Windows 8, is there no way to make Windows 8.1 compatible with DNG Converter 8.1?

I see that you need the DNG converter 8.4 to convert Sony Alpha 6000 raw files.
Download that version of the DNG converter to replace your version 8.1.

Hi, I had the same problem. I finally figured it out. Plug in the USB cord to your ipad, but beofre plugging it into your computer make sure your ipad is not in the locked or sleep mode. Once I did this, my photos showed up and started downloading. Hope that helps you!

Driver Jukebox Nomad Zen USB

I have a big problem. Since I have updated Windows XP, I can't use my Jukebox Nomad anymore. In fact, Windows can't detect and install the correct driver so it don't recognize my mp3 player when I connect it... I have already tried the autmatic and manuel installation but it doesn't work. I have an error message everytime.
What can I do ? Please help me because I can't use it anymore...

I have the same problem. Tech support say my unit may be faulty but it was working until I made the mistake of trying to upgrade the software.
I have tried this link (above) but this did not cure the problem. The player is recognised but no suitable driver is found. If I right click on the .inf file and install then the Zen Xtra appears in the Unknown Devices section with a question mark.
If tech support fix my problem I shall publish here.

Is there any way to make windows "sticky" in mission control?

If I have several applications open, then invoke mission control, then click on a window to select it, the windows are in a different position the next time I invoke mission control. This is like trying to hit a moving target, or as I sometimes refer to it, "musical windows". I've tried checking and uncheckng the mission control options in system preferences, but the windows still move all over. Is there any way to make windows "sticky"? What I would prefer ideally is that each group of windows remains in the same location, then new ones are added after. I find it frustrating to have to scan mission control and locate the window I want, which is always being moved.

solved, thanks anyway. mine is T43, the hard disk got bad setctors now, so I got a new disk to replace it, so I need to install xp first, that's what I need, but there are no xp installation cd now and I can not find the program to make the cd. I downloaded xp from internet to solve this problem.

Everytime i plug my iphone 4s into my windows laptop, usually it comes up with a small box saying 'installing device' but now it comes up with a box saying 'usb device not recoginised'. i have 4 usb ports in my laptop and i have tried plugging my iphone into each one, but it comes up with the same message. Syncing shouldn't trouch you photos unless you have photos in a Photo Library album. These would be photos that were synced to your phone from your computer. If you do have any, you'll need to use an app like PhotoSync to transfer them to your computer prior to syncing.
If you prefer to backup your camera roll photos prior to syncing, open iTunes and go to Preferences>Devices and check "Prevent...from syncing automatically". Then connect your phone to your computer and import them as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.
Then, to minimize data loss, follow the steps in this user tip: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141. To follow the steps, first open iTunes and go to View>Show Sidebar. Also, Transfer Purchases is now located in File>Devices.

Or, if you don't like fiddling with Xdefaults file, you can simply make urxvt transparent by executing it like "urxvt -tr -sh 20", where the number represents the transparency level. However, this is only pseudo transparency, but I like it better than resource-consuming compositing.
Will give it a try. I'm not against .Xdefaults - just haven't used it that much and know only the basics ( color schemes )
