Is it possible to send an alert with attachment?
We would like to send 'Contract Notification Expiration' email to the users by attaching the documents to it. I mean alert should copy the documents attached to the contract purchase agreement.

YOU should chage the code .If you do 't send the attachment to the vendor ,you should set "Space ",jut like this :
WHEN 'BUS2200'.

      "exclude attachment

E71 Mail Attachments question

Hi,
Is anyone aware how many attachments does the native mail in E71 support? The other day, I had 4 attachments in my mail but was able to see only one. Can anyone tell me if my phone has a bug or if E71 supports only one attachment?

1. Go to Menu> Messaging > Options (left button) > Settings > OTHER > Memory in USE
set to Memory card
NB - first time you change mem in use there are two prompts : 1 - to copy the messages to the mews memory and 2 Save source? ( I suggest you not to save - thus the phone memory will be cleared and messages will be stored only to mem card. the benefit - more memory for running applications)
this will move all messages including MMS, SMS and  emails.
PLacing the mem card in to other S60 Nokia  Phone ad setting memory card as memory in use will show all the messages you had on old phone

Mail attachments question

I want to attach pdf files to my email, but I don't want the pdf attachment to display within the emails. How can I do this? And, is there a manual on MAIL?

I will attempt to be clearer: it is the inline placement of the files (PDF or otherwise) that can impact certain receiving email clients, and not View in Place. To illustrate this, I composed a message and placed a multi-page PDF within the text body I was typing, and then sent it. Viewing this message when received, in RAW Source presents the very same type attachment header and display (as seen in RAW Source) as one that is one page and that will View in Place.
This is a header from multi-page PDF:

It my considered opinion, that it is the Content-Disposition: inline, that becomes the issue with some email clients, and has nothing to do with whether the file was presented during Composition to View in Place or View as Icon.
If I had a wish for a feature, it would be to have a command to move all attachments to the end on the message, once I have finished Composition. While composing I think it can be useful to place them inline, but if you know the recipient may find that problematic, to change all before sending.
When I do not know what computer or email client the recipient is using, I never do other than place all attachments last, and to never type or space between or following.

Ok, the reason that you have a variant datatype is because you have two controls with different datatypes assigned to the same event. The attached code shows how you can tell which one actually fired the event and convert the variant back into a standard LV datatype.

Now Go to the "Format and Precision" tab, select "X-axis, relative time, HH:MMS". Click OK.
(If you want exactly the range shown, disable autoscaling and enter 00:00:09 in the rightmost tick mark)

Calculations question and how to display on right

The auto-generated totals can be displayed in the far right column. How can I display a custom calculation in the far right column instead of between columns?
Also, I have a crosstab report with horizontal axis of date and vertical axis of group/name/type. I need to get a percentage of (all dates of one type for one name) over (all dates of all types for one name). I also need to get a percentage of (all dates of one type for one group) over (all dates of all types for one group) either by duplicating the first calculation or further grouping the results. I need these to be total calculations not by-date calculations, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think I understand your question. Before going any further, if you check your VI, in the Transfer Function VI for the Simulation toolkit, you have a 1/s+1 as a transfer function. You need to right click on it and change it to be the same as the one used with the Control Design Toolkit.
Now, what I said before, the reason why you are getting different results is because with the Control Design you are getting the bode plot for the transfer function of the plant by itself. On the Simulation toolkit, you are adding a chirp signal to a transfer function (that by default is the 1/s+1). And then you are getting the bode plot of that but with an external signal.
If you change the Chirp signal to be something else or even change the frequency, you will see that the plot changes. That means that you are not taking the bode plot for the plant itself.

Changing from finite to continuous samples and vice versa?

I have a problem which I'm trying to overcome: I have a measurement system consisting of an analog output and reading two analog inputs. I would like to run it continiously to monitor the current values (without saving the previous data), however, when I click something like a record button, I'd like to start a recording of a predefined period (like a finite samples measurement) and then restarting the monitoring without saving again.
Currently my measurement program is based on the examples "Continuous AO" and AI vis, and are made with continuous sample mode and while loops. How can I insert a record button?
I tried putting event handlers in the measurement loop, however it suspended the loop from running.
I attach a screenshot of my current measurement loop. (With the shift register I tried to read data, however I cannot get it out of the loop, until the loop is stopped)

I have tried adopting something similar, however it doesn't work the way it should. (Or at least the way I think it should) Could you please help me ironing it out? I've seen some vis on the internet with queue-controlled (but only one-way) and tried adopting them.
The MainProgram vi is the app, with some settings (now limited to a signal file selection and channel settings). Then the data acquisition can be started by clicking the Start Acq button.
And here come my problems: first sometimes the queue starts, sometimes it doesn't (or at least it doesn't start the data acquisition). And the main point: I set the sample rate, yet it is acquired at a much-much slower rate (my signal has a period time of 4 seconds, yet it needs at least 20 seconds to get near finishing). And the strangest: sometimes, mostly after some time (about 1-2 min) it hangs and does nothing with the daq (yet labview seems responsive, just my program hangs somewhere).
So now only the controlled acquisition is in the problem and first I don't care about forwarding the data for analysis and saving. (That seems to be the smaller problem).
What am I doing wrong? Thanks for your help.

How to plot bar graph in the real time?

Hi guys
I have n row and 3 column array, n will vary according the time, for example t=10ms, n=1;t=20ms, n=2;..., I would like to display all the data of the array in the bar graph in real time. I tryied with example "array to bar graph demo.vi" but very time, only one row was displayed.
Could anybody help me?

Where did you get this example. I can't find it listed in the current shipping examples.
Also, posting a small image of a section of a block diagram is not much to work with. You are using local variables and a sequence structure. Neither one is a good sign. If you would simply post the actual VI (and any subVIs), it would be much easier to see what you mean.

Good afternoon and I hope your well.
A member of the team from NI Israel contacted me regarding this post.
I want to provide you with extra details on how to resolve your issue - i.e. Repair (Or Re-install) the Shared Variable Engine.
If you use the MsiBlast Tool it will populate a list of all MSI NI Installers. One of these will be NI Variable Engine. On the right-hand side you can the click 'Repair'. I would also Repair the engine support for the versions of LabVIEW you have installed. Please see attachments for MsiBlast and a screenshoot of the MSIBlast screen.
If this doesn't work I would recommend re-installing LabVIEW using the following guide, which I posted on this forum. (second post by me).

The waveform of output from file is different from original one

I've a new question about displaying a waveform from a text file. The waveform which its data is from file is different from the original one.
I attached image files which included my two vi files and 3 waveform. In the compressed file, "ReadData_Waveform1.jpg" is a image of waveform from "ReadData.jpg" vi file with the configuration of "Transpose" is True,
"ReadData_Waveform2.jpg" is a image of waveform from "ReadData.jpg" vi file with the configuration of "Transpose" is False,
"WriteData_Waveform.jpg" is a image of waveform from "WriteData.jpg" vi file.
I attached the source file of waveform with text format as well.
Please help me to solve this question if there is anyone who can figure it out.

Hi Andy
If you transpose the data when you write it, you also have to transpose it when you read it.
Just have a look at the simple example attached. I write data and read it again. Each file operation is called with the default-value for transpose (false). The data is read correctly.

Can the cursors in a property node be changed to the LabView 7.X format instead of 8.X?

I plotted data and used the property node thing to create cursors so that I can select individual data points. The LabView 7.0 or 7.1 format for the cursors was useful because I could punch in a number and the cursor would then jump to that number. But with LabView 8.0, this option is apparently no longer available, and I must manually move the cursor to where I want it to go. This is very time-consuming, and I would like to know if there's a way to revert to the LabView 7.0 format, or change the existing format so that I can tell the cursor where to go by punching in a number. Any ideas?

Sorry but no. You are stuck with the 8.0 style cursor option. I find the labview 8.x cursor display ugly and useless. Even my customers are very quick to specify that they do not want Labview 8.x styled cursors. I really miss the 7.1 type cursor display
Besides which, my opinion is that Express VIs Carthage must be destroyed deleted
(Sorry no Labview "brag list" so far)

How to wait until the 1st part of the processing is done

Hi,
I had a hard time to combine two parts of processing in one .vi file, and thus would like to get some advice/help through the forum.
Attached is the partial finished vi file I made. You can see that it is composed of two parts. The upper part is to run a bat file (check_result.bat), which generates a result.txt file. The lower part is to use the result.txt file as an input file, and check if the key word called "test case passed" is included in the result.txt file or not. So I want to run the upper part firstly, and then run the lower part after the upper part is finished.
However, I don't know how to connect the two parts in a right way that the lower part only starts running after the upper part is finished. Any comments/help is highly appreciated.

The magic of dataflow!
All you need is a data dependency between the two parts. Often critical parts of each section contain error terminals, so you can just string em along in the proper order and each part must wait until the previous node has finished.
In your particular case, the read operation has no error input, so you can recruit any other input. Create a fake data dependency by strategically placing a small sequence frame containing common code. The sequence cannot start until all code that provides imputs has finished, serving your purpose.
Of course it seems silly to even try to read the file if the previous node failed. Right? So simply place the second part inside a case and hook it up to the error output. Now the second part (1) waits until the first part has finished AND (2) execute only of the first part succeeded. No sequence needed.

How do I make something happen only once on a true condition in a loop

So I have a way of doing this, but it uses a dreaded local variable, and seems to me that it might be unreliable.
What I want to happen is to have something happen only once on a condition that will remain true. What I need is to set something after a given amount of time, but I only want to set it once after that time has been reached. Problem is, if I use a range, it could be true more than once, if I use a greater than, it'll be true every time after the set time, and if I use an equal, there's no way to know that the particular millisecond value will even appear in the loop.
Maybe I'm wrong in even using those comparison functions... Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. See the attached vi for a better look at what I'm trying to do... (v7.0)

The "Idle" state that the help file refers to is the "non-running"
state. The Top Level VI must end execution before any "First Time" VIs will
return TRUE after being called initially.
Therefore, if your application calls a subVI at the beginning of the
Test portion, on the next iteration of the loop it will return FALSE
from that subVI, since your main VI never stopped running, and received
a TRUE from the "First Time" on the initial test loop.
If you have code that you want to execute only on the first run of your
entire program, "First Time" should work fine. If you have code that
you only want to execute on the first iteration of just the Test loop,
the "First Time" VI is not ideal.
I think that shift registers are going to provide the best solution,
however you mentioned that for your particular application that is not
ideal. Could you describe a little bit more why shift registers are
problematic?
