PO conversion query

Hi All,
we are adding a new warehouse . I have to update existing PO's with new warehouse ID. Is there any API or an interface by which we can update existing PO's(only Standard) with new warehouse ID.
Any suggestions will be appreciated
Thanks

  • File content conversion query

    hi,
    i have sender and received side -file content conversion.
    in sender communication channel -
    Recordset structure is -> Header,1,Detail,*
    Message type structure is
    MT1 has 2 subnodes Header and Detail.
    In my message type,there is no field identical in Header and Details. All fields are different.
    (1) Is Key Field Name mandatory in this case ? If I am not giving Key field name,sender channel gives error. How to resolve it ?
    (2) Input file comes from customer and in the input file there is no specific data to identify header and detail. 1st line shud be header and other lines shud be Detail ,they say. If no identification coming in incoming data,how can we set the key field name ?

    Hi SAP PI,
                          For this moment try this.
    Let the file content is like this
    03456451     TESTDATABC 7645649 8746464
    12344       60042
    45678        60043
    You try reading the file like this
    <MT_S>
         <RECORDSET>
             <ROW>
                      <field1>03456451</field1>
                      <field2>TESTDATABC 7645649 8746464</field1>
            </ROW>
              <ROW>
                      <field1>03456451</field1>
                      <field2>TESTDATABC 7645649 8746464</field1>
            </ROW>
              <ROW>
                      <field1>03456451</field1>
                      <field2>TESTDATABC 7645649 8746464</field1>
            </ROW>
    </RECORDSET>
    </MT_S>
    FCC is like this
    Document Name : MT_S
    Document Namespace: "put name space here"
    Recordset Name: RECORDSET
    Recordset Structure: ROW,*
    ROW.fieldNames  field1,field2
    ROW.endSeparator   'nl'
    ROW.fieldSeparator   0x20
    Once you get this in mapping use a simple UDF to ignore the first ROW values and read the rest.
    Populate the target structure from the output of UDF for each field value.
    Please let me know if you need the uDF and further mapping for this.

  • Video conversion query

    Hi,
    I convert videos using Nero Recode 2. The tutorial advises that the user select the iPod Video - AVC option and then select Fit to target >> Choose the iPod Drive However, I found that this method, while compressing the videos quite considerably, takes longer to convert videos than simply selecting iPod Video (instead of iPod Video - AVC) and NOT CHOOSING the Fit to target option. As a result, I get the files converted more quickly but the file sizes are as big as the originals or more.
    Is there anything wrong with what I am doing? Will this affect video processing and battery consumption?
    Thanks!
    Compaq Presario   Windows XP   Apple iPod 60 GB

    Hmm... thanks! Apple recommends MP3, AAC etc. formats and not WAV as the latter requires more processing power and therefore more battery consumption.
    I was wondering if the same logic applied to videos - do bigger-size (70 MB+) video files require more processing power for playback?

  • Conversion of Mysql query in oracle acceptable query format

    Hi
    I have successfully converted my MySql database in oracle. Now the problem is how to execute already written hundreds of Mysql query on the oracle. There are many syntax variation in Mysql query format which is not acceptable for oracle.
    For Example
    Select case_id as 'this is alias' from cases
    The above query can run on Mysql database but have problem while executing Oracle, because single quotes should be replaced with double quotes before executing it on oracle. There are also many other syntax conflicts.
    I have tried to resolve the problem through SwisSQLAPI but problem still exist as SwisSQLAPI is not dealing with all syntax conflict. In my case (select if (expresion, true,false)) must be replace with decode (expression, value,true,false) function of oracle and this conversion is not supported by SwisSQLAPI.
    Please help me in resolving this problem
    Thanks

    The problem with trying to port from one language (mysql SQL) to another (oracle SQL) is that there's generally no hard rules for a computer to follow, that it will get it 100% correct.
    Look at babelfish when you translate a foreign language to English. The end result is readable (usually), but it's rarely completely correct.
    The problem is when you feed something into Oracle SQL, it needs to be 100% correct.
    All you can really do here is rewrite these queries. It shouldn't actually take as long as you think, because 50% of queries will generally need very minor changes you can do in a minute, and 25% won't need any changes at all.

    Hi,
    You can try unit conversion planning function,create planning function and add it at the back of button.
    Can refer to link below:-
    Not sure if it can solve your problem.As it also depends upon source and target keyfigure used.

  • Very Slow Query due to Bitmap Conversion

    I have a strange problem with the performance of a spatial query. If I perform a 'SELECT non_geom_column FROM my_table WHERE complicated_join_query' the result comes back sub-second. However, when I replace the column selected with geometry and perform 'SELECT geom_column FROM my_table WHERE same_complicated_join_query' the response takes over a minute.
    The issue is that in the second case, despite the identical where clause, the explain plan is significantly different. In the 'select geom_column' query there is a BITMAP CONVERSION (TO ROWIDS) which accounts for all of the extra time, where as in the 'select other_column' query that conversion is replaced with TABLE ACCESS (BY INDEX ROWID) which is near instant.
    I have tried putting in some hints, although I do not have much experience with hints, and have also tried nesting the query in various sub-selects. Whatever I try I can not persuade the explain plan to drop the bitmap conversion when I select the geometry column. The full query and an explanation of that query are below. I have run out of things to try, so any help or suggestions at all would be much appreciated.
    Regards,
    Chris
    Explanation and query
    My application allows users to select geometries from a map image through clicking, dragging a box and various other means. The image is then refreshed - highlighting geometries based on the query with which I am having trouble. The user is then able to deselect any of those highlighted geometries, or append others with additional clicks or dragged selections.
    If there are 2 (or any even number of) clicks within the same geometry then that geometry is deselected. Alternatively the geometry could have been selected through an intersection with a dragged box, and then clicked in to deselect - again an even number of selections. Any odd number of selections (i.e. selecting, deselecting, then selecting again) would result in the geometry being selected.
    The application can not know if the multiple user clicks are in the same geometry, as it simply has an image to work with, so all it does is pass all the clicks so far to the database to deal with.
    My query therefore does each spatial point or rectangle query in turn and then appends the unique key for the rows each returned to a list. After performing all of the queries it groups the list by the key and the groups with an odd total are 'selected'. To do this logic in a single where clause I have ended up with nested select statements that are joined with union all commands.
    The query is therefore..
    SELECT
    --the below column (geometry) makes it very slow...replacing it with any non-spatial column takes less than 1/100 of the time - that is my problem!
    geometry
    FROM
    my_table
    WHERE
    primary_key IN
    SELECT primary_key FROM
    SELECT primary_key FROM my_table WHERE
    sdo_relate(geometry, mdsys.sdo_geometry(2003, 81989, NULL, sdo_elem_info_array(1, 1003, 3), sdo_ordinate_array( rectangle co-ords )), 'mask=anyinteract') = 'TRUE'
    UNION ALL SELECT primary_key FROM my_table WHERE
    sdo_relate(geometry, mdsys.sdo_geometry(2001, 81989, sdo_point_type( point co-ords , NULL), NULL, NULL), 'mask=anyinteract') = 'TRUE'
    --potentially more 'union all select...' here
    GROUP BY primary_key HAVING mod(count(*),2) = 1
    AND
    --the below is the bounding rectangle of the whole image to be returned
    sdo_filter(geometry, mdsys.sdo_geometry(2003, 81989, NULL, sdo_elem_info_array(1, 1003, 3), sdo_ordinate_array( outer rectangle co-ords )), 'mask=anyinteract') = 'TRUE'

    Hi
    Thanks for the reply. After a lot more googling- it turns out this is a general Oracle problem and is not solely related to use of the GEOMETRY column. It seems that sometimes, the Oracle optimiser makes an arbitrary decision to do bitmap conversion. No amount of hints will get it to change its mind !
    One person reported a similarly negative change after table statistic collection had run.
    Why changing the columns being retrieved should change the execution path, I do not know.
    We have a numeric primary key which is always set to a positive value. When I added "AND primary_key_column > 0" (a pretty pointless clause) the optimiser changed the way it works and we got it working fast again.

  • Query Designer : Quantity Conversion as per UOM

    Hi gurus,
    I am facing a typical situation here. I have Product Quantity data that I fetch from R3, This has diff UOM based on different product. I know the conversion factor. I have not included the conversion factor in the transformation while loading the data. Hence in the cube, the data is loaded without any conversion.
    Now, in my query, I want that the Quantity data be displayed always in say BOX (Whether at aggregate level, ex. Sales Office level or at a more granular level (product brand level)) it should always be in BOX. Can I make such a modification in my query so that the end result for quantity should always be in BOX.
    thanks n regards,
    Sree

    Hi Sree,
    You can set unit conversion for relevant key figures in the Query Designer.
    For that, you need to create a quantity conversion type first.
    For a BW7.x system, use transaction RSUOM to maintain quantity conversion type.
    It could be defined like this:
    Source unit: from data record
    Target unit: fixed: BOX
    Hope this helps.

    Patricia

  • Sorting Currency conversion Variables in Query Selection screen

    Hi Experts,
    I have an issue in sorting variables.
    A Currency translation is used here which has two selection options here, one for "Currency" and one for "Currency conversion date". They just pop in somewhere in the selection screen with out order. I want to put them together either in the middle or at the bottom.
    They are not visible in the Variable sequence tab of query properties.
    I changed the text for each of them (Ex. "XCurrency"), so that it sorts alphabetically, but no difference.
    Had anybody come accross this issue before.
    regards
    G Rai

    Hi,
    This seems strange that the variable does not show in the query properties. One thing I can suggest it to try changing the technical name/desciption of the variable if that changes the order.
    Please update back the thread if that helps.

    You can search the forums for that error message and find previous discussions - they all boil down to the same problem.  Somewhere in your query that calls this function, the code invoked implicitly converts from string to date/datetime.  In general,
    this works in any version of sql server if the runtime settings are correct for the format of the string data.  The fact that it works in one server and not in another server suggests that the query executes with different settings - and I'll assume for
    the moment that the format of the data involved in this conversion is consistent within the database/resultset and consistent between the 2 servers.
    I suggest you read Tibor's guide to the datetime datatype (via the link to his site below) first - then go find the actual code that performs this conversion.  It may not be in the function you posted, since that function also executes other functions.
    You also did not post the query that calls this function, so this function may not, in fact, be the source of the problem at all.

  • Currency conversion in a query.

    Hi,
    I have a requirement where I need to give the facility of currency conversion of some of the key figures in a query.
    There is no key date specified in the Functional specs based on which I can create the currency conversion thing.
    What I want to know
    1)Is there any other way we can do currency conversion if we dont have a Key date.
    2)Also is it essential to restrict all the key figures which require currency conversion with the key date variables.
      If we don't restrict the key figures will the currency conversion thing be still valid.
    Please advise.
    Kind Regards,

  • Arithmatic conversion error in query

    I have a stored procedure for a report . The underlying table has a decimal(18,2) column.
    In the Stored Procedure code, the conversion to decimal (12,2) gives an error as one of the records has a value that exceeds (12,2).
    I am running this report for a userID that does not have permission to this project (so bad row will not be included in the result).
    When running the Stored procedure from query analyser, this row with bad data is not selected based on #TblPermission and SP returns other rows without errors.
    The issue is when running the SP from the application, i am getting an arithmatic conversion error.
    It appears that the SELECT conversions are happening even before join on the temp table is satisfied.
    Shouldnt it filter data based on the join first and then do the conversions (like when run from query analyser) ?
    We will be fixing the conversion issue at a later point.
    But any ideas/suggestions on how to address this to stop it from erroring when called from the UI ?
    CREATE PROCEDURE [dbo].[Test_Report]
    @_user varchar(10)
    AS
    BEGIN
    SELECT PID INTO #TblPermission FROM dbo.tbl_permissions(nolock) WHERE userid= @_user
    SELECT A.NAME,
     CAST(A.ProjectAmount as decimal(12,2))  Amt -- giving an arithmatic conversion error
    FROM TableA A
    Join #TblPermission UP on UP.PID= A.PID
    WHERE A.ProjectType ='mapped'
    end

    It appears that the SELECT conversions are happening even before join on the temp table is satisfied.
    Shouldnt it filter data based on the join first and then do the conversions (like when run from query analyser) ?
    The answer to that question is no.  SQL is allowed to process a query in whatever order it believes will be most efficient.  So it can do the conversion, and later do the WHERE clause.  So you have to write the code so that it is safe if SQL
    does that.  One way is to use a case statement to only do the conversion when the value will fit in decimal(12,2), so you could do
    SELECT A.NAME,
    Case When A.ProjectAmount Between -9999999999.99 And 9999999999.99 Then CAST(A.ProjectAmount as decimal(12,2)) End Amt
    FROM TableA A
    Join #TblPermission UP on UP.PID= A.PID
    WHERE A.ProjectType ='mapped'
    That will work on all releases of SQL.
    If you are on SQL 2012 or later, you can use the new TRY_CONVERT function which will do conversions without causing errors.  Instead of an error when the valued being converted is invalid, you get NULL.  So that would be
    SELECT A.NAME,
    TRY_CONVERT(decimal(12,2), A.ProjectAmount) Amt
    FROM TableA A
    Join #TblPermission UP on UP.PID= A.PID
    WHERE A.ProjectType ='mapped'

  • Conversion error in Query

    Hi,
    i have an attribute customernumber mapped as Long. My developer now wants to do a query like "select * from xy where customernumber like '567%' ".
    Is it possible to do this with toplink?
    I get conversion errors due to toplink tries to convert 567% to a long value.
    builder.get("customernumber").like("567%")
    -Robert

    The mapping will always try to convert its value passed in to that of the mapped attribute.
    Probably the easiest way to address this is to add another direct query key for the field. If you added one in the mapping editor called customerNumberString to the same database field you could then use:
    builder.get("customerNumberString").like("567%")Doug
