PocketMac crashing using iCal/Calendar on BB
Hello everyone,
I'm using PocketMac 41.25 and everything was ok until couple of days ago when I tried syncing again my iCal in Calendars on the BlackBerry.
Can anyone help by reading this crash log and tell me where is the problem located ?

PocketMac is running out of memory, and crashing.
MissingSync has its own problems, so I'm not sure there is a dependable solution to this problem.

What URL to use in iCal / Calendar to publish to Google?

I know that this has been spoken about before but everytime I go through all the discussions then i feel that this point of answer is not made or made clearly.
As a Mac user, we know that we can sync google calendars in a few ways. But how do you create a new calendar for your Google account and have it reflecting in your sync setup?
Regardless to the setup used, the end point always comes down to that the calendar must be created first in the Web Interface, then only after this will it reflect back to your Calendar App. For our Mac users, we use iCal ("Calendar" in Mountain Lion) and this is now working very well getting your Google Calendars. When the new calender is set in Google, it even reflects there with out any more input.
Now the additional way to get this calendar published to Google without the Web Interface, is to use BusySync. Great program, but this is a middle man that is becoming a problem is some cases. I have an office where there are calendars being shared over LAN, over Google and the erorrs can be hard to track and support for BusySync needs to be contacted with most of these horrifying erros and miscommunications.
Now if iCal is able to Sync with Google Calendar, and BusySync is able to publish to Google, why can't this just happen from iCal. There is even a publish option but the URL is needed. And funny enough, this URL is nowhere to be found. I have logged onto Google's Calendar and tried using several URL's with absolutely no luck. So maybe BusySync can tell us what URL we must be using.
Many thanks for the timeGood question. I dont have an answer but just so you know I tried ~site and ~sitecollection and it did not work. So for now I am assuming that for now there is nothing in CSWP that provides the dynamic SC URL.

Proxy server and Publishing ICal Calendars
I am using Ical Calendar publishing via a "Private Server" The way I have to set it up is using a string like ftp://domainname.com/path-to-folder/file. Then I have my user and password in the login area for the protected folder on this server.
This works GREAT, however, I noticed when I'm at work and work has a proxy server for FTP I cannot connect to my domain and update - publish to my private server doesn't happen.
Would anyone know how to make ICal use a proxy? Having the proxy in the Network Prefs under FTP and the box checked does not work. Both passive and unpassive does not make a difference.
Is there a way to enter proxy information in the ftp:// string I am using?
I can get the calendars no problem. I know there is an HTTP proxy but ICal seems to be able to get through this fine?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

We had issues when we first published our calendars at work too. I am not certain that this will help, but you can try it. What we did was go to the Network Preference Pane and add the IP address of the Cal server to the list of IP's that bypass the proxy server. After that we had no issues viewing or updating our calendars. I don't know exactly how your network is setup, but it may be worth a shot.

How do I publish an iCal calendar now that MobileMe is inactive?
I was publishing a calendar to share with some friends using iCal and MobileMe. Now that MM is not available, updating that calendar is no longer possible. So I tried to unpublish it, but was not allowed, only could leave it on the server. Now I can't publish again because the only option is on MobileMe in iCal (Version 5.0.3 (1605.3)). And there doesn't seem to ba an update yet. Am I missing something?
I got the following when I tried to re-publish my calendar on MobileMe:
The calendar “Name” couldn’t be published.
The request for calendar failed.
The server responded with “503”I have a similar problem, albeit for different reasons. My calendar at work is on MS Exchange, which only supports "On My Mac" calendars, not "iCloud" calendars. I was able to publish my work calendar for use on my devices outside the office using iCal calendar publishing through MobileMe. (As an alternative to jumping through several layers of security when I'm not in the office just to see my own calendar!) But that no longer works, MS doesn't support synching to iCloud calendars so I'm not sure how to do this now that Apple has killed iDisk/MobileMe.
I think there would be an opportunity for someone to either write an Exchange to calDAVE widgit or to to offer a hosting service for former MobileMe calendars... -
My iCal is driving me nuts.
It won't sit still when I am looking at my calender. I try holding it still with one finger, two fingers and it just moves. It jumps to random dates and I have no confidence in it any longer. I use my calendar all the time and this just isn't good enough.
I have gone into the apple store and they said they hadn't seen that before. It did it while I was there. They restored the phone and it didn't make any difference.
I have turned the calendar off in settings - mail - icloud - deleted and then turned back on again. It didn't help.
I put the Google Calendar app on in the hopes I would have a calendar that wouldn't frustrate me and it is so slow in responding, I have deleted it.
I see online that many others are having the same problem with their iCal.
It would be great to know the solution.

I figured out how to fix the flashing yellow screen problem that I've been having on my MBP! Yessssss!!!

I followed the instructions on this page and here's what I did:
Resetting NVRAM / PRAM
Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.
I went through the 6 steps above twice, just to make sure I got rid of whatever stuff was holding up my bootup process. Since I did that, my MBP boots up just like normal. No flashing yellow screen anymore!!

This is my first attempt at using this forum so please be patient with me. I am new to the apple world. Bought an Imac desktop computer back in October and installed Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 because I was used to Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and outlook. Now I am being told that I should be using ical for my calendar so that I will be better able to move to icloud for use between my Imac, Ipad2, and Iphone.
The question is: how do I move my calendar which is in "Outlook for Mac 2011" into ical on my Mac? Do I have to remove the Outlook entries from the computer and reinstall them back to the same machine or can I somehow move calendar entries within the machine? I appreciate any help I can get. Thanks.I also already deleted my phone number from iMessage on my MBP.

I had fondly imagine when I filled out my calendar on my home Mac and published it to .Mac that I could not only view it when I am at work (where I have to use a pc) but also add in calendar info that I have have access to only when I am at work, so that the calendar is complete.
If this is meant to be possible I haven't figured out how -can any one help?
If not possible it does seem to detract quite significantly from what might otherwise be a useful tool. In fact I can't imagine why this ability would not be built in as it seems starkly obvious that if you have access to your calendar over the web, you must want to be be able to edit it over the web?? Or have I missed something?

Force Outlook 2011 to use iCal default calendar to synchronize with google
Here is a problem.
My default calendar program is Outlook 2011.
I have an iCal synchronizing with my google calendar and outlook to sync with iCal via Sync Services - so in theory my outlook calendar should be synchronized with Google.
I setup in iCal's preferences my google calendar as default (because iCal synchronizing only Google calendar not the other calendars on my mac) so at this stage, if I use iCal to add new remainder/appointment it is store by iCal in default calendar (which I setup to be my google calendar) and is synchronizing with goggle calendar right away.
Synchronizing between iCal and google works fine, however there is a problem with outlook sync with iCal, because Outlook synchronizing all items in iCal with “no category” calendar (which seems to be default and although I have changed in preferences of iCal default calendar to be the google one). Even if I delete all “on my mac” calendars - outlook creates always new one called “no category”, when I try to add new appointment with Outlook.
So there is question, how to force Outlook (or maybe syncservice) to use my google calendar in iCal as default. I think once it be possible, synchronizing between Outlook and my google calendar (via Sync Services and iCal) works great.
Anyone knows how to manage it?
My system:
Outlook is 14.1.4 version
MacOs X Lion 10.7.3

Not responding / crash while using proxy calendar
Hi
On one station the GroupWise Client crashes often while using proxy calendars. The user opens a calender trough proxy access and klick on somme entries (days). The error is not reproducable - restarting the client and do the same klicks won't crash again.
Most of the crashes report this File: C:\PROGRA~2\Novell\GROUPW~1\gwclu.ocx
Any help would be nice.

So this rather points to the user. So the next question is what
regular preventative maintenance do you have running?
What I typically set of customers is

If you are already running the contents checks, then look at section of
the resulting logs for that user to see what errors are showing there.
Especially of note would be errors that are identical each time as they
indicate there is something that needs a bit of direct effort.
Also are there any error showing in the POA logs that coinside with
these crashes?
Is it always the same calendar? Are others proxying into the same
calendar?

I use iCal, my husband uses the calendar in gmail. For months we had no problems. Recently, he will send me invites and I no longer have the ability to accept or decline. The only way to see the event is if I link is gmail calendar which I do not wish to do. Any solutions?
I've been using iCloud since it's inception as "mac.com" or whatever it was called. I've been able to Sync Outlook Exchange Calenars to my iMac, iPhone and iPad. However, I cannot get iCal (when viewed in iCloud) to display Exchange or Google Calender items.
It's odd, all other Mac versions of iCal are happy e.g. iMac, MacBook Air, iPad Air, iPhone etc. But nothing when I login to icloud.com and look at the iCal there. -
Using ical as a central family calendar
I want to be able to use ical remotely to manage our family's schedule and have it possible for both my wife and I to add items to it and delete items from it. I do not want to purely sync because then she will be stuck with all of my work appointments. Is this possible? I downloaded a program Cozi, but its presentation is terrible in comparison to ical. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Are you doing this with iCloud? If you both have the same iCloud account you can only sync all calendars but she can uncheck the ones she doesn't want to see.

I've been using iCal for years for my business and have over 15 calendars on it (to color coordinate projects) and used to sync them with MobileMe. Now that I've upgraded my mac and have Mountain Lion and can only use iCloud to sync Address Book, Notes etc - iCloud doesnt even acknowledge my 15+ calendars unless they are DUPLICATED.
I've turned OFF iCloud and tried to sync via iTunes telling it to sync to iphone/ipad from "Calendar on this Mac" - but it sees nothing. My device Calendars are blank (iCloud off on them too).
HELP!!!I share a similar situation (usb iTunes sync with Outlook with my corporate laptop; personal calendar on icloud).
With IOS7, at first, iTunes/Windows does not propose Outlook sync anymore. I need to switch off calendar from iTunes to enable usual usb sync with Outlook. I had to sync it twice while checking "replace iphone data" to get a stable behaviour (like before) IOS7.When I try to re-enable icloud calendars, it proposes me to merge them...
I did not test merging so far...
IOS7 and iTunes 11.1 are not completely polished ;-)

When I open my Calendar, there is a window saying " Upgrading ICal Calendars", it never finishes and never closes and I cannot use or access my calendars until it does. I have left it open for days and nothing changes. I have closed it and opened it, shut down computer, but it is stuck there.
Please helpyes when i open plugin componts in my library ezydrum is there but when i open logic look in my au manager unit its not there i need to find out how to get it from my library plugin into my logic au manager then it will will open with my other au programs

OK, now I think I understand your problem.
If it is your calendar that is being shared with other users who have been granted editing priviliges, you will not be able to exclude those events from printing.
