    When you run the program, the system displays the following basic list with a the page header defined in the program:
    You can trigger the AT LINE-SELECTION event by double-clicking a line. The system sets the status TEST and deactivates the function code PICK. The status TEST contains function codes FC1 to FC5. These are assigned to pushbuttons in the application toolbar. The page header of the detail list depends on the status.
    Here, double-clicking a line no longer triggers an event. However, there is now an application toolbar containing five user-defined pushbuttons. You can use these to trigger the AT USER-COMMAND event. The CASE statement contains a different reaction for each pushbutton.
    For each interactive event, the system decreases the SY-LSIND system field by one, thus canceling out the automatic increase. All detail lists now have the same level as the basic list and thus overwrite it. While the detail list is being created, SY-LSIND still has the value 1.

  • Sample  PL/SQL Portlet Source Code for Oracle Portal 9ias

    Hi, I'm a newbie of Oracle Portal technology, and I have a problem:
    I would create a PL/SQL portlet that realizes the following functions:
    1) Retrieve the username of the portal user logged from WWCTX_API.GET_USER function.
    2) Insert into an oracle db table two values about two hidden fields in the HTML FORM of the portlet.
    3) Realize the insert commit through the click on the submit button on the Html form of the portlet. I would redirect by the same button to an other page url also.
    I've never developed in Portal, and may be useful if someone could post me the source code of the SHOW MODE SECTION in the PROCEDURE SHOW of a SAMPLE PL/SQL PORTLET that realizes the upper functions.
    Thanks a lot....

    Hi
    Here's the code from Helloworld_Portlet example:
    procedure show
    p_portlet_record wwpro_api_provider.portlet_runtime_record
    is
    l_portlet wwpro_api_provider.portlet_record;
    begin
    if (not is_runnable(
    p_provider_id => p_portlet_record.provider_id
    ,p_reference_path => p_portlet_record.reference_path)
    ) then
    raise wwpro_api_provider.PORTLET_SECURITY_EXCEPTION;
    end if;
    Retrieve the portlet information.
    l_portlet := get_portlet_info(
    p_provider_id => p_portlet_record.provider_id
    ,p_language => p_portlet_record.language
    if (p_portlet_record.exec_mode = wwpro_api_provider.MODE_SHOW) then
    if (p_portlet_record.has_title_region) then
    Draw the portlet header and specify what links are available
    from that header (i.e. details, customize, help, and about).
    The has_title property is set at the page region level.
    wwui_api_portlet.draw_portlet_header
    p_provider_id => p_portlet_record.provider_id
    ,p_portlet_id => p_portlet_record.portlet_id
    ,p_title => l_portlet.title
    ,p_has_details => true
    ,p_has_edit => true
    ,p_has_help => true
    ,p_has_about => true
    ,p_referencepath => p_portlet_record.reference_path
    ,p_back_url => p_portlet_record.page_url
    end if;
    Draw the portlet borders.
    The has_border property is set at the page region level.
    wwui_api_portlet.open_portlet(p_portlet_record.has_border);
    Display the content of the portlet in the show mode.
    Use the wwui_api_portlet.portlet_text() API when
    generating the content of the portlet so that the
    output uses the portlet CSS.
    htp.p(wwui_api_portlet.portlet_text(
    p_string => 'Hello World - Mode Show'
    ,p_level => 1
    if (p_portlet_record.has_border) then
    wwui_api_portlet.close_portlet;
    end if;
    elsif (p_portlet_record.exec_mode = wwpro_api_provider.MODE_SHOW_ABOUT) then
    Display the about page for the portlet.
    htp.p('Hello World - Mode Show About');
    elsif (p_portlet_record.exec_mode = wwpro_api_provider.MODE_SHOW_EDIT) then
    Display the edit page for the portlet.
    htp.p('Hello World - Mode Show Edit');
    elsif (p_portlet_record.exec_mode = wwpro_api_provider.MODE_SHOW_HELP) then
    Display the help page for the portlet.
    htp.p('Hello World - Mode Show Help');
    elsif (p_portlet_record.exec_mode = wwpro_api_provider.MODE_SHOW_EDIT_DEFAULTS) then
    Display the edit defaults page for the portlet.
    htp.p('Hello World - Mode Edit Defaults');
    elsif (p_portlet_record.exec_mode = wwpro_api_provider.MODE_SHOW_DETAILS) then
    Display the details page for the portlet.
    htp.p('Hello World - Mode Show Details');
    elsif (p_portlet_record.exec_mode = wwpro_api_provider.MODE_PREVIEW) then
    Display the preview page for the portlet.
    htp.p('Hello World - Mode Show Preview');
    end if;
    end show;
    I think you need to add this:
    You can get the values of your html-form with this command:
    v_hidden_1 varchar2(256);
    v_hidden_2 varchar2(256);
    v_hidden_1 := wwpro_api_parameters.get_value('name_of_hidden_1_in_html_form','p');
    v_hidden_2 := wwpro_api_parameters.get_value('name_of_hidden_2_in_html_form','p');
    You can get the actual URL with this command:
    v_url := p_portlet_record.page_url;
    Hope that helps.
    Regards,
    Mark

  • Sample and Hold Application.

    I am acquiring data with the NI ELVIS on an analog input channel A0.
    I need to sample and hold the data according to a 480 Hz (2.08 ms) clock as follows:
    1. Acquire data for the 0.69 ms (1st third of the cycle) and place the data into a new waveform.
    2. Acquire data from 0.69 ms to 1.39 ms (the 2nd third of the cycle) and place the data into a new waveform.
    3. Acquire data from 1.39 ms to 2.08 ms (last third of the cycle) and place the data into a new waveform.
    Currently, I have built a VI (attached) to generate two clock signals. The first clock signal turns on a red LED for 0.69ms then turns off for the rest of the cycle. The second clock signal turns on when the first clock signal transititions to a low state for the next 0.69 ms and remains off for the rest of the cycle. Both LED illumination signals are picked up by a photodetector, so this is why I need the sample and hold application explained above.
    If you could help that would be great. My current VI is attached. Thanks so much!

    Correct me if I'm wrong, you are turning on two LEDs in a pattern and reading the light level. You want to have three separate waveforms for the light reading, based on when the lights are turned on and off.
    If this is the case, here is what I would try:
    Trigger your analog input reading off of the turning on of the first LED. You might have to put an initial delay into your clock pulse (that turns on the first LED). This initial delay will insure that the LED is not turned on before the analog input has been started. Data collection will start when the first LED is turned on (the trigger) and will end after the appropriate amount of time. (You could end it in many ways; user presses a stop button, configure collection for a finite number of data points, final pulse has ended,..). After data collection is finished take the single waveform that is storing all of the light data and use the waveform functions in the Waveform palette to split it into your three waveform subsets.
    I suppose another way to produce the three waveforms would be to wire your light sensor into three analog inputs, then configure three separate voltage inputs with appropriate triggers based on the turning on and off of the LEDs. CH 1 triggers when LED 1 is turned on, CH 2 triggers when the LED 1 is turned off, CH 3 is triggered when LED 2 is turned on.
    I hope this is helpful in some way,
    Sam

    Hi All,

    AL

    Something like this ->
    UPDATE PRODUCT e
    set e.new_id = (
                      SELECT distinct i.id||i.code
                      FROM item i, product pi
                      WHERE i.ccode = '12'
                      AND i.scode = 'ACTIVE'
                      AND i.id IS NOT NULL
                      AND pi.id = i.id
                      AND i.id IN (
                                      SELECT DISTINCT ri.item_id
                                      FROM category ri
                                      WHERE ri.category_code = 'RRR'
                      AND pi.id = e.id
    WHERE e.new_id IS NULL;N.B.: Not tested...
    Please post your table structure. Otherwise it is very difficult to find out the exact reason.

  • Charting within Web-PL/SQL Application - advice required please

    Currently trying to enhance our Designer generated Web-PL/SQL application by including charting.
    There is no provision to do this within Designer so are exploring other solutions, specifically using a server side servlet to render a chart as a gif, returning this to the client HTML page.
    Has anyone got any recommendations on what to use to do this?
    We've tried with limited success calling the Portal servlet (called chart) due to lack of documentation and relience on certain Portal procedures. We're currently experimenting with Oracle Chartbuilder, which looks promising, but would really like to know what the recommended or favorite solution is!
    Any feedback appreciated!

    Right now, I am displaying a table in the web by selecting all the records from a particular table.
    This is how I do it.Not a great way to display a report. This is not re-usable code. Difficult to maintain. Difficult to add or change the presentation of data.
    The proper way to do it, will be to use a DBMS_SQL cursor. After the cursor is opened, you use the describe function on the cursor that returns the number of columns in the cursor, the names of the columns, and their data types.
    This data is then used to fetch a column value from the cursor, and render it (as per its data type). This can easily be extended to make use of reporting templates and defaults and even style sheets to make rendering easy and flexible.
    DBMS_SQL is detailed in the [Oracle® Database PL/SQL Packages and Types Reference|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/appdev.102/b14258/d_sql.htm#BABEDAHF] guide.
    Should I include a search engine? or how should I go about it? Is there a way to break the table into smaller parts using the dealer id?Why not use APEX? The above method that I've described is what is employed by APEX. So instead of writing that yourself, having to deal with dynamic variable binding, pagination, web state and security and so on.. APEX does all of this, and more, for you.

    I am trying to download the jar file for the sample bulk loader application to load XML data into XDB and get page not found error. I also tried cliking on view source and I get a blank page. Can some one please help?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    We are able to download the zip file by right clicking the download link and also on directly clicking the download link using the IE and Netscape browsers.
    Possibly you can try doing shift+refresh for the following URL and then try again:
    http://otn.oracle.com/sample_code/tech/xml/xmldb/index.html
    Also can you let us know which browser you are using?

  • So far as possible configurable .jsp/sql application

    Hi together!
    Hope you can help me...
    I like to develop an jsp/sql application, which is so far as possible configurable.
    I mean, it should be possible to choose which database should be connected,
    which table should be displayed.
    Which fields at the front-end are editable, which Buttons should be displayed and so ...
    What for possibilities are there to build such a parametrisable application?
    Thanks...

    there are many possiblities, one way in which i have done something similar in the past is to use XML as definition. for example if you have a user role stored in an xml doc and the user logged in is of that role then your xml doc can also hold values such as the db name, table name, sql query that is applicable to that user.
    Make sense? if you have more specific questions post them here...
    hope this helps.
