Polling / Debugging / Showing RSSI values for Probe Requests for Unconnected Mobile Stations

Hi Guys,
I've been researching on this for last two days and still can't find a specific way to do this..
I'm trying to get  information (MAC & RSSI) on the prob-requests from all mobile clients heard from an Access Point directly. That is, Without getting WLC and/or WSE and/or LBS involved)
I understand that this information can be easily accessible from the WLC itself (from GUI or by polling the WLC using SNMP OIDs from AIRSPACE-WIRELESS-MIB).  But this MIB is not compatible with the AP's IOS. So no luck there..
I found an MIB (CISCO-DOT11-ASSOCIATION-MIB) that works on the AP and would give me information only on the connected/associated clients but NOT on the probing-unconnected clients.
The closest I have gotten so far is the following debug command on the AP,
   debug dot11 rxprobe
   dot11 RX Probe debugging is on
   023937: Oct 29 11:47:02 ACDT: ToCtrl: 00016F, 001, -11b, ffff.ffff.ffff, 1234.abcd.1234 SSID: NULL
   023938: Oct 29 11:47:02 ACDT: ToCtrl: 000171, 001, -11b, ffff.ffff.ffff, 1234.abcd.1234 SSID: someSSID
Which, as you can see, outputs the MAC address of the probing station. But I'm not quite sure what the other values represent. Can someone please point out the real meaning of the other information presented in this output (is RSSI hidden somewhere there :)).
Also, Is there any other way of getting this information out ? ( again without using the WLC or WSE or LBS)
When AP is linked up with an WLC, the AP pushes this information to the WLC via the CAPWAP tunnel. So definitely this information is in there (may be not stored in the AP). I just can't find a way to tap this information.
Any information surrounding this will be much appreciated.
Why I want this?: I'm working on a project that needs this functionality.
Thanks

The same command on a 1130 outputs:

    explain the exact problem..? as you mentioned you want to create query to show values for current month and last 12 months.. so I think you want to show values for 12 months from current data.. you can achive this by multiple way..
    you can have selection screen and field with date .. and restrict based on system current date and 12 months before or you can handle this at your target.. .. I mean there are multiple ways to restrict data by date range..
    for some more hints..

  • How to show multiple values for Unique records in Report

    Here's my question/problem:
    I've joined two tables, one table (TBL1) contains an object id (OBJ_ID) that repeats and the other table (TBL2) contains a date (DT), object type id (OBJ_TYP_ID), and object type description (OBJ_TYP_DES). The tables are joined by an inventory id (INV_ID).
    The OBJ_ID repeats and has a Date value for each record. I want to report an unique OBJ_ID and show each Date for a particular OBJ_ID in multiple Columns.
    An example of the current resultset looks like this:
    OBJ_ID OBJ_TYP_ID OBJ_TYP_DES DATE
    1 1 TYPE1 4/1/2009
    2 1 TYPE1 4/1/2009
    3 1 TYPE1 4/10/2009
    1 2 TYPE2 5/3/2009
    3 1 TYPE1 3/30/2005
    4 1 TYPE1 4/1/2009
    5 1 TYPE1 4/1/2009
    5 2 TYPE2 5/1/2009
    1 1 TYPE1 4/3/2007
    1 1 TYPE1 3/30/2005
    I want to express the resultset like this:
    OBJ_ID OBJ_TYP_ID OBJ_TYPE_DES DATE1 DATE2 DATE3
    1 1 TYPE1 4/1/2009 4/3/2007 3/30/2005
    1 2 TYPE2 5/3/2009
    2 1 TYPE1 4/1/2009
    3 1 TYPE1 4/10/2009 3/30/2005
    4 1 TYPE1 4/1/2009
    5 1 TYPE1 4/1/2009
    5 2 TYPE2 5/1/2009
    What technique is best to use to do this? I know I could create another table and populate the rows/columns by reading data from this query, but is there a better way?

    What technique is best to use to do this? I know I could create another table and populate the rows/columns by reading data from this query, but is there a better way?Absolutely! You seem to have an instictive feeling that creating a separate table just for a query is inefficient. You instinct is 100% correct. Maybe in Oracle 7 there was a reason to do that, but today you can query results of other queries as if they were tables, so temporary tables like you describe are very rarely necessary, let alone convenient.
    What you want to do is pivot the date columns. Here's one way
    WITH     original_query     AS
         SELECT  obj_id
         ,     obj_typ_id
         ,     obj_typ_des
         ,     dt          -- date is not a good column name
         FROM     ...          -- the rest of your original query goes here
    ,     got_rnum     AS
         SELECT     oq.*
         ,     ROW_NUMBER () OVER ( PARTITION BY  obj_id
                                   ,                    obj_typ_id
                             ,             obj_typ_des
                             ORDER BY        dt     DESC
                           )         AS rnum
         FROM    original_query        oq
    SELECT       obj_id
    ,       obj_typ_id
    ,       obj_typ_des
    ,       MAX (CASE WHEN rnum = 1 THEN dt END)     AS dt1
    ,       MAX (CASE WHEN rnum = 2 THEN dt END)     AS dt2
    ,       MAX (CASE WHEN rnum = 3 THEN dt END)     AS dt3
    ,       MAX (CASE WHEN rnum = 4 THEN dt END)     AS dt4
    ,       MAX (CASE WHEN rnum = 5 THEN dt END)     AS dt5
    FROM       got_rnum
    GROUP BY  obj_id
    ,       obj_typ_id
    ,       obj_typ_des
    ;As you can see, this adds two layers of queries on top of your original query. One of those layers is probably not needed; depending on what you're doing in your original main query, you can probably compute rnum there, and omit the got_rnum sub-query.
    Also, depending on the relationship of obj_id, obj_typ_id and obj_typ_des, some of what I posted above may not be needed but including it won't really hurt.
    If you want to know more about this technique, search for "pivot" or "rows to columns". A <tt>SELECT ... PIVOT ...</tt> keyword was introduced in Oracle 11, but most of what you'll find when you search for "pivot" doesn't assume you have Oracle 11 (nor does the query above require Oracle 11).
    This assumes you know an upper limit (5 in the example above) of dts that can appear in any line of output.

    Any suggestions to show all the appended values in a report?

    Hi Lewis75581,
    According to your description, you want to show the append changes history of a column in Reporting Services. Right?
    In Reporting Services, we don't have a feature to show the change history of a column. However, we can have workaround on SQL level. In SQL Server, we have tables: inserted table and deleted table which contains the recently inserted and deleted records.
    In this scenario, we can create a trigger in your database. Once you insert rows into the table, it will be triggered and get those inserted rows. Then insert those rows into another table. Now we can create one more dataset based on this table and display
    these inserted rows in our report. This might be the most effective workaround for your requirement. Please refer to a similar thread below:

  • Match code in report selection screen does not show any values for 0FISCPER

    Hi Experts,
    I have problem with selection screen in several reports. When I use match code for fiscal period selection I get only # as a possible value. I have checked the master data they seem to be correct. I work with 7.0 BW system. Can you please give me any hint what I should check?
    Thank you,
    Michal

    Hi,
    maybe I ask different way - how do you add characteristic values for a characteristic in the BEx? Is it automated somehow in SAP (e.g. from master data)? For the fiscal period I use custommer exit to fill in the default value, which is the current fiscal period. But this is something different, right?

    Hi Experts
    When I am executing the query( On a Multi provider) with the selection of Company code, controlling area, WBS ELEMENT, currency type I am seeing two different values (XXXX EUROS and YYYY EUROS)for a formula for total variable cost when i select two different currency types( CONTROLLING AREA AND GROUP CURRENCY)
    I have two currency types called CONTROLLING AREA CURRENCY and GROUP CURRENCY(BOTH IN EUROS).
    This WBS  element is not having any sales document.How can I see the exact value for this WBS element in the R3 side.
    Is there any possibility that the same dataelement TOTAL VARIABLE COST have different values when i execute with differnt currency types in the selection screen.
    In what approach can i proceed from R3 side  to the query to solve this issue. on the R3 side when i see in FB03 (settlement posting) for this WBS it is balanced. I am seeing only partial posting for this in the Query
    Could any one help me to solve this.
    Thanks in Advance

    Hi Rajesh,
    I guess the holiday which was configured in Holiday calendar (Holi) is not declared as Paid holiday in Public Holidays-Holiday Calendar.
    Goto SCAL - choose Public Holiday - change mode - look for the holiday (Holi) configured - change mode again - lookout for 'Public Holiday Class' and see whether ' 1 ' is maintained there, if not maintained, type 1 there and save it.
    PS (1 - Ordinary Public Holiday....i,e paid holiday).
    Now go to PT01 and generate WSR. This will sort out your issue.
    If the above is not working,
    I guess there are different PSA/ESG grouping for the employees and maybe their Holiday Calendar itself is different. check out whether the PSA and ESG grouping in Time Mgmt is same or different for those employees for whom the paid holiday is not getting generated and also check out the Holiday Calendar for these set of employees and try the above given solution there.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to show default values for properties managed by UUP

    Is there a way to load default values of properties from an external source while
    associating a user with property sets managed by UUP ?
    We are trying to write a Custom User Profile using UUP so that some of the User
    Profile attributes can be stored using an existing Oracle database schema. But
    the values for some of these properties(Profile property set attributes) has to
    come from another table which already exist. So the idea is that when a new user
    is being associated with the Custom property set using Portal Admin Tool, the
    available values for an individual property has to be pulled from from a database
    table. Like when selecting a user's home city he can select the name of all cities
    already existing in a database table.
    I couldn't find a way to do this using the EntityPropertyManager. Anyone has
    any idea how to do this?
    Thomas.

    Hi Thomas,
    Yes, the UUP framework is flexible enough for you to easily load default
    values of properties from some external source. You can do this if you
    deploy your own UserProfileManager that uses a custom PropertySetManager.
    When UserProfileManager.getProperty() is called, it looks for the property
    for that user and then for the user's implicit and explicit successors
    (implicit = persisted for that property set, explicit = given as an argument
    in the method call)...if it doesn't find the property (gets null) then it
    does this:
    PropertySet set = getPropertySetManager().getPropertySet(
    getPropertySetType(), propertySet );
    if ( set != null )
    PropertyDefinition def =
    set.getPropertyDefinition( propertyName );
    if ( def != null )
    result = def.getDefaultValue();
    Check out the javadoc for the classes I have mentioned and check out the
    ejb-jar.xml depoyment descriptor for the UserProfileManager in usermgmt.jar:
    <!-- property set manager -->
    <ejb-ref>
    <ejb-ref-name>ejb/PropertySetManager</ejb-ref-name>
    <ejb-ref-type>Session</ejb-ref-type>
    <home>com.bea.p13n.property.PropertySetManagerHome</home>
    <remote>com.bea.p13n.property.PropertySetManager</remote>
    </ejb-ref>
    There are two options for deploying a UUP: 1) use the default
    UserProfileManager deployment with your custom EntityPropertyManager
    deployment, or 2) use your custom deployment of the UserProfileManager with
    your custom EPM deployment.
    In almost all cases, option 1) is done. However, in your case, you need to
    modify the behavior of the UserProfileManager so you must redeploy a
    custom-configured version. This means you will have to register a new
    ProfileType for your users with the DD for the UserManager EJB (because your
    special users don't use the default UserProfileManager) like this:
    <ejb-ref>
    <ejb-ref-name>ejb/ProfileType/WLCS_Customer</ejb-ref-name>
    <ejb-ref-type>Session</ejb-ref-type>
    <home>com.bea.commerce.ebusiness.customer.CustomerProfileManagerHome</home>
    <remote>com.bea.commerce.ebusiness.customer.CustomerProfileManager</remote>
    </ejb-ref>
    If you didn't need to retrieve the default values from your own data source,
    here is how you could get the default values using the default deployment of
    the UserProfileManager:
    * use the EBCC to create a property set (a.k.a "user profile") that matches
    your UUP property set name. Create the properties in this pset and the
    default values. When the UserProfileManager.getProperty() call fails to
    find the property value in your UUP (gets null) it will use the default
    PropertySetManager to get metadata about that property from the Portal
    schema (which you just set up using the EBCC) and it will return the default
    value that you set in the EBCC.
    I recommend you study the 2 options for deploying a UUP, especially the
    option for deploying a custom version of the UserProfileManager by checking
    out the sample UUP on dev2dev.bea.com and by looking at the Portal 4.0 docs.
    I don't know if the 7.0 docs have as much detail about this. Also, when you
    sit down to implement your custom PropertySetManager you may have to contact
    support for some of the details. For instance, how to instantiate a
    PropertySet.

    Do you think you are using any formula to display this value in Webi report like trunc(Z5678) or something like that. If not, it should display the whole value. when you highlight this column in webi report, what is the formula it's showing, can you share it with us.

How can we take care of that?  I canu2019t run unplanned depreciation for 2009. Is there a better way to take care of this?  I thought about opening year 2009 for the asset (ccode) and then running unplanned depreciation. Will that be a problem? If yes, what other solution can be proposed.*
    *Appreciate the response.*

    Hi,
    If it is not possible to open the fiscal year because audit
    has already been completed we have a workaround which is not quite
    correct from the legal side ist thereport RACORR20_A from note 29694.
    If in table ANLC there are differences between posted and planed
    depr. the report simply makes: planed = posted.
    The correct way would be:
    ->  Reopen your GL for FY 2008 via OB52.
    ->  Recalculate values  (RAAFAR00)
    ->  RAPOST2000
    ->  RAPERB2000
    ->  RAJABS00

    please let me know how to solve this issues

    Hi Suneel,
    I m giving you the detailed steps here so as to clear any doubts...
    1. In the new formula window right click on Formula Variable and choose New Variable
    2. Enter the Variable Name, Description and select Replacement Path in the Processing by field.
    Click the Next Button
    3. In the Characteristic screen, select the date characteristic that represents the first date to use in the calculation
    4. In the Replacement Path screen select Key in the Replace Variable with field. Leave all the other options as they are (The offset values will be set automatically).
    5. In the Currencies and Units screen select Date as the Dimension ID
    Repeat the same steps to create a formula variable for second date and use them in the calculation.
    Follow these steps and your problem will be solved for sure.

  • HFM 11.1.1.3 ICP Report showing wrong value for Entity Currency Total

    Here is the situation.
    There are transactions on a ICP account (Entity Currency) 3.305.080
    A journal is posted to the same account with the same POV. 307.205
    When I run my ICP report on Entity currency i get the correct figure. 3.305.080
    When I rum my ICP report on Entity Currency Total I get a wrong figure 307.205 (Equalt Entity Currency Adjustment) where it should have been 3.612.285
    Any clues anybody?

    There is no limit. In reality there has not been a limit to the volume of data in a single subcube since paging was added in the 4.0 release. Certainly since 64 bit HFM was introduced there really is no limit to the amount of data in a subcube, or the database for that matter.
    Now that I've said that, 850,000 records in a single subcube is a lot of data. Prior to 4.0, the development team added an warning message when a subcube exceeded 100,000 records, but this was purely informational. You should still heed the notice. Most applications have a largest-cube size somewhere between 35,000 and 100,000 records (the top entity usually). While I've seen as many as a million records, you may experience performance problems at that point. Make sure you give the database and HFM app servers a lot of memory to handle this.
    Since HFM 11.1.2.2 with its configurable dimensions, data can be spread across many more intersections. In your example you have seven custom dimensions, so I can understand how you might have a normal amount of data in each base entity (a few hundred to maybe a couple thousand), but balloon to hundreds of thousands when you get to the top entity. HFM can process a lot of data very quickly, but be careful if you have rules that cycle through all those intersections, such as allocations or maybe cash flow by product.
    But there is no hard limit in HFM.
