Asset still showing planned  value for closed fiscal year.

*We have a situation:-  After we ran depreciation for Dec 2009, there was a credit memo posting done in the system for a particular asset.  Now, the fiscal year has been closed for 2009 and 2010 is opened. Jan and Feb depreciation posting has been done for the asset for year 2010, but the credit memo posting is still stuck as planned value in the 12th period of 2009. How can we take care of that?  I canu2019t run unplanned depreciation for 2009. Is there a better way to take care of this?  I thought about opening year 2009 for the asset (ccode) and then running unplanned depreciation. Will that be a problem? If yes, what other solution can be proposed.*
*Appreciate the response.*

Hi,
If it is not possible to open the fiscal year because audit
has already been completed we have a workaround which is not quite
correct from the legal side ist thereport RACORR20_A from note 29694.
If in table ANLC there are differences between posted and planed
depr. the report simply makes: planed = posted.
The correct way would be:
->  Reopen your GL for FY 2008 via OB52.
->  Recalculate values  (RAAFAR00)
->  RAPOST2000
->  RAPERB2000
->  RAJABS00

  • Retired asset - cannot run standart report for closed fical year

    Hi there,
I was just wondering how to run standart asset report (Y_T11_68000004, AR02) for closed fiscal year in case of the asset was retired during this year.
As I know report can be run only with last date of closed fiscal year (12/31/200x) otherwise got message AU116. But when I have asset retired i.e. in 30/10/200x the report for this year is empty and cant see the movements data.
Any ideas? Maybe some settings for asset history report, or is there another report for movements for previous years.... ?
    Thanks a lot!

    Hi,
start the asset history sheet, there you can see all information.
Alternative is to create an own query on logical database in SQ01.

  • Changing Depreciation Key for Tax for closed fiscal years -

    Hello,
Hoping someone can help me with this question - Is it possible to change the depreciation key for closed fiscal years - we need to change it for Tax - books. And if yes - does it mean we need to open closed fiscal years ??
    Thank you,
    Richa

    Hi,
you will need to open the FI and AA periods. After changing the depreciation keys do the necessary dep run and close the books in the correct sequence. There should not be problem.

  • Planned dep in closed fiscal year

    Hi
We have done a change(reduced the useful life) in the useful life of the asset in the Fiscal year 2009 in the  month of June, which impacted the  previous year depreciation amount. The planned  dep value got increased in december 2008 .In the posted value tab in asset explorer for year 2008 it displays the planned dep in dec 2008 which is not yet posted. We donot need this depreciation to be posted. We need to delete the planned dep.Financial year and Asset year till 2009 are closed.
Please advice how to get the planned dep line removed from year 2008 which effects the net book value.

    Hi,
Are you absolutely sure the changes were made when the fiscal year was closed. Maybe you need to also check if the depreciation area(s) affected was/were open at the time (OAAR). It should not be possible: if the fiscal year and all depreciation areas are closed, changing the useful life should not affect these closed years/depr.areas.
Changes to depreciation conditions (e.g.useful life, dep.key) only affect the planned depreciation in open fiscal years. There is no specific transaction.
The adjustment for the depreciation of the closed fiscal year will be reflected in an adjustment posting in the next period due for depreciation posting in a catch-up posting (or smoothing if indicated). For the open fiscal years the newly calculated depreciation will be distributed equally over the remaining useful life.
Therefore it sound to me very peculiar that planned depreciation should have been created in your closed fiscal year due to a change of useful life. Please review your change documents to ensure depreciation areas and fiscal  years were closed at time of change u2013 and have not been reopened either via OAAR or OAAQ.
To answer your last question regarding if change of useful life will affect deprecation in 2010:  provided that it is the only open fiscal year and is in fact the current fiscal year, then yes, it will affect the planned depreciation in 2010 and in the remaining useful life.
    Kind regards,
    Brigitte

  • Asset Report to check periods in Closed Fiscal Year

    Hi Gurus,
Would want to check what other standard SAP t-codes that could be used to check the periods for the closed Fiscal year in asset reporting? i.e. FY 2008 closed, would need to check asset balances, NBV, etc for period 7, system prompts an error and could only execute for period 12.
    Appreciate feedback
    Many thanks
    eddie lim

    Hi
If you are using the report S_ALR_87011963, following is the limitation for it.
You cannot run a report for any day you choose within a period. The
following restrictions apply to the report date:
o   If the report date is in the past, or in the current fiscal year:
You can use the end of a fiscal year or the end of any period as the
report date. If the fiscal year is already closed, you can only use
the end of the fiscal year as the date.
o   If the report date is in a future fiscal year:
The system always uses the last day of the fiscal year as the report
         date.
o   If the report date is the first day of a fiscal year:
To ensure that the values for the beginning of the fiscal year are
same as those for the end of the previous fiscal year, the
system runs reports with the report date 1/1/YYYY for the date
12/31/YYYY-1 (the same applies for a non-calendar fiscal year).
If you want to run report for forcating depreciation and NBV, use TCOD - S_ALR_87012026
    Thanks

  • Depreciation Run for closed fiscal year

    Hi All,
We bought some assets on 2005 through direct purchase and these assets are in under operation, but not having the asset master record in the SAP system.
Now we have decided to bring these assets into the system as the capitalised date is 10 Nov 2005 and for this purpose, we had created the asset master record and applied the t.code: ABNAN to post the values to these assets.
<b>"My concern is about how to provide the depreciation run to these assets for the closed fiscal year from 2005 to until Nov 2007.The present closed period in the production system is 2006".</b>
I request you to all kindly give your values on the above mentioned issue.
    Thanks with regards,
    Ran

    Hi
Just give the dep start date as 10 Nov 2005 and run the dep for the current posting period the depreciation will get posted for the year 2005 and upto the current period,in the current posting period.
As the past reriods are all closed you cannot post dep in the year 2005.
You will have the whole dep for that particular asset posted in the current posting period.
    Hope this helps
    Good Luck

  • To show all months of qty values for each fiscal year in report?

Our cube contains different fiscal years of order qty/delivered qty for a material (e.g. material A).  We use fiscal year variant V9 (Oct. - Sep).  We would like to generate the following query result to list the material, order qty, fiscal year, and then for each calender month, the delivered qty value for the corresponding fiscal year:
    Column title:
    Material --- Order Qty --- Fiscal Year --- Oct --- Nov --- Dec --- Jan --- Feb --- Mar --- Apr --- May --- Jun --- Jul --- Aug --- Sep
Just give two rows of data for material A:
    1st row data example:
A (material) --- 23 (Order Qty)  --- 2006 (fiscal year) --- 2 (delivered qty in Oct of the calendar year 2005 )  --- 4(delivered qty in Nov of the calendar year 2005 ) ---1 (delivered qty in Dec of the calendar year 2005 ) --- 5 (delivered qty in Jan of the calendar year 2006 ) --- .... 2 (delivered qty in Sep. of the calendar year 2006)
    2nd row data example:
A (material) --- 45 (Order Qty)  --- 2007 (fiscal year) --- 3(delivered qty in Oct of the calendar year 2006 )  --- 6 (delivered qty in Nov of the calendar year 2006 ) ---1 (delivered qty in Dec of the calendar year 2006 ) --- 5 (delivered qty in Jan of the calendar year 2007 ) --- .... 2 (delivered qty in Sep. of the calendar year 2007)
    How to generate this query?
    Thanks!

    hi Chandran,
Actually in each row data for material in different fiscal year, all the KFs in columns should be restricted to the fiscal year value.  What we do is to use selections other than structure or RKF.  What we is following listed in details that you can check if what we do is correct:
    Under KF structure:
    1. Create a selection for the 1st KF (Order Qty).  In this selection, Order Qty is restricted with the characteristic 0FISCYEAR.
    2. Create a formular as 2nd KF for the FY value.  This formula KF use the value of a formular variable with Replacement Path of the the characteristic 0FISCYEAR.  But somehow this KF value shows "X" values in this column.  We defined this Replacement Path variable with the Reference Characteristic as 0FISCYEAR and all others keep default.  But don't know why this column shows "X" values. We also add  0FISCYEAR to the row, and find the one does have data in the row.  Any idea why put it in formular variable onto column not working?
    3. Create a selecction for the 3rd KF (Oct). In this selection, restrict Delivered Qty with the characteristic 0CALMONTH2 (Calendar month) and further restrict 0CALMONTH2 to a fixed value: October
    4. Create a selecction for the 4th KF (Nov). In this selection, restrict Delivered Qty with the characteristic 0CALMONTH2 (Calendar month) and further restrict 0CALMONTH2 to a fixed value: November.
Then the following steps are similar to step 3 and 4 to create all other Month columns.  We wonder in all these selections, would we have to restrict them further with 0FISCYEAR?
    Therefore we've got two questions:
    1. Why in step 2, the formular variable doesn't work and the FY column shows "X" values?
    2. Do we need to further restrict the delivered qty with the characteristic 0FISCYEAR for each month column which corresonding to the fiscal year in the same row?
Thanks alot and we are keeping giving you reward points!

  • After deactivation asset still shows value in AR03 cumulative value

    Dear All
After deactivation of an asset , it  still shows value in AR03 cumulative acq value column. can somebody guide us
where my client is lacking as we deactivated the asset on 14.05.2008 in AS02 and transfer the asset value thrru ABUMN
but still the same asset is showing the value on 31.03.2009 .
    Thanks in advance
    VG

    Dear Srinu
Does Deactivation  really need manually entry of writing date in AS02 or date generates automatically thru ABUMN.
As i have already transfered value thru ABUMN and created one new asset against it.
The new asset is working properly but my deactivated my asset is quite trouble some. If I tick the box in Depreciation area
which is for deactivation, will all assets under that class will  be deactivated ?
I just had same ABUMN procedure and my asset got deactivated.
I had one asset which is deactivated in 2008 mid, In 2008 AR03 shows 0 value but 2009 it shows its cumulative value.
In tag line my asset should not show the value after it's deactivation in AR03.
Please have some inputs on this.
    Regards,
    VG.

  • Error when closing fiscal year 2010 for fixed assets

I was performing year end close for asset management using TCode AJAB and received an error that one asset has not completed posting depreciation for 2010.
When I looked at the asset that was causing the error I noticed there is still remaining "planned" depreciation for the year 2010.  Apparently, there was some subsequent cost added to this asset after December 2010 depreciation was posted.
Can I process depreciation again for December for this one asset?  If so, what Tcode would I use?

    Hi
You have to execute repeat run in AFAB for DEC 2010 and then try to close using AJAB.

  • Change in Specify Transfer Date/Last Closed Fiscal Year in Asset Accounting

    Hi,
While uploading the asset master data and values,I have given the Specify Transfer Date/Last Closed Fiscal Year date as 31-12-2008.But as per the fiscal year 4-4-5,2008 closed on 03-01-2009.
what are the consequences,If we change the Specify Transfer Date/Last Closed Fiscal Year date from 31-12-2008 to 03-01-2009 as the 2008 closed on 03-01-2009.
Kindly give me some inputs regarding this change.
    Thanks
    Supriya

    Hi
    Please note
I you change the transfer date to current FY date , system will not allow u to upload data in PY.
    See the below
    Transfer Date
This date determines the status of posting to be used for the
transfer (posting up to this date will be included in the transfer), not
the actual date the data transfer is carried out. This specification
also determines whether you want to perform the transfer during the
fiscal year (with transfer of posted transactions/depreciation in the
current fiscal year) or at the end of the fiscal year (without
    transactions).
If the transfer date is not the last day of the fiscal year (according
to the fiscal year variant in FI), the system interprets this as
transfer during the fiscal year. The system cannot transfer any
historical transactions. It can only transfer cumulative values from the
end of the last fiscal year, and the transactions in the current fiscal
year (the second is only possible for transfer during the fiscal year).
    Example
    transfer date = December 31, 1997
    => last closed fiscal year = 1997
Specify Last Period Posted in Prv.System (Transf.During FY)
You must specify the period up to which depreciation was posted in the previous
system. This period refers to the posted depreciation that is to be
transferred during old assets data takeover.
    Thanks

  • Asset depreciation in a closed fiscal year

    Hello,
After closing fiscal year 2010 we noticed that asset "A" start depreciation date was incorrectly set to December, 15.
Now we have corrected this date to December, 1. SAP have re-calculated the depreciation so we have aditional USD 600 planned for December. (we have UDS 600 posted + USD 600 planned).
Is there anyway to force those USD 600 to be posted on the new fiscal year 2011?
Is there any other way to arrange our depreciation issue withhoul opening 2010 for posting?
    Thank you in beforehand.
    Juanma.

    Hi
I believe, OAYF is relevant for recalculating asset accum dep during Legacy data transfer.... I dont know if it would help in this case
If you have not done the FY 2010 closing, system wont allow you to close till the time all planned depreciations are posted...
Refer note 619969... You can run AFAB for Period 13 and post the dep in Period 12.... After that, do a balance carry forward
However, if you dont wanna post in 2010 any more, then dont change the Dep Start date.... Let it remain as Dec 15.... You can post Unplanned dep for Jan 2011 using ABAA - Followed by AFAB (Unplanned option)

  • Reduce Remaining Order Planned value for services with PO

    Hi guys,
I'am looking for a way to reduce the remaining or residual order plan value for a network activity with services where the amount on the PO is below the planned value. If for example the planned value amounts up to 1000 and the PO has been reduced due to negotiations to 900, a remainder order plan of 100 remains on the network activity till the activity is technically closed.
Is there a way to reduce the ROP when a PO exists for the network activity?
    Thanks, Geert

We are combining an early visibility of all costs and a strict budget availability control with a formal procedure for project managers to request additional budget.
We have more and more projects where a part of the budget remains blocked in ROP for service activities because the planned value was more pessimistic than the real PO amount. Since these service activities are typically executed at the end of the project that part remains blocked. Of course the project managers want to use that marging elsewhere without having to pass a request for additional budget.
We have no issue with the network activity planned costs remaining visible, we just want the ROP to be 0 when a the purchase requisition for the service activity has been transformed into a purchase order. In the above example 100 of the budget would be freed for other use.

  • Posting in Asset Accounting in closed fiscal year

    Hi
We are in the fiscal year 2009 and my client wants to open the closed fiscal year 2008 in both Asset accounting and Finance.
Point 1  :   The requirement is they want to post some correction entries in April 2008 -Let me know what needs to be done in terms of depreciation posting etc to do a 2008  yearend again.
Point 2  :  Any specific steps to do a full year end in 2008 now to balance Asset Accounting and Financial .And to carry forward balances as to where we are now in period 10.
    Please advice.

    Hi,
if you open 2008 and post, you have to process the full fiscal year end close procedure. AFAB, ASKB, the whole story.
You don´t have to worry about the carry forward, this will be done automatically by the system.

  • Creation of a Query to show the values for the current month and the last 12 months data.

    Dear All,
    Good day!
I have to create a Query with the below requirement.
I have to create a Query to show the values for the current month and the last 12 months data.
Can you please guide me how to achieve this ??
    thank you,
    Regards,
    Hema

    Hema
explain the exact problem..? as you mentioned you want to create query to show values for current month and last 12 months.. so I think you want to show values for 12 months from current data.. you can achive this by multiple way..
you can have selection screen and field with date .. and restrict based on system current date and 12 months before or you can handle this at your target.. .. I mean there are multiple ways to restrict data by date range..
    for some more hints..
