Populating extended fields

Hello Guys,
iam migrating Open AR Line Items using idoc ctracdocument_create .i extend 2 fields of dfkkop and i also extended the idoc according to the requirement,now i need to populate the 2 extended fields using user exit fkya002.can anybody help me in development of populating fields in the user exit.
Regards
Janapathi

I have the same issue in a couple of other area's - what we have found to be the most effective is a simple recording of the few extended fields.  Of course this means a secondary load program will be executed for each record decreasing overall performance.

    Hello All,
    I am new to SAP CLM, and I have requirement where one extended field in master agreement needs to be made as mandatory field.
    I tried in extension definition but check box to make it required is disabled and I am unable to find other way to do it.
    Can some one help me and Please let me know how make extended fields mandatory in CLM.
    Regards,
    Prabhat

    Hi
    This could be achieved using Page Customization.Go to Setup-> User Interface-> Page Customization, open master agreement object (create new with UI ID:contracts.contract.ui.buyside.default if doesn't exist ) and add a new customization for extended field with Property set to Required.

  • Passing Changed  extended fields using ALE-IDOC to receiving system

    Hi all,
    Please tell me how passing changed  extended fields using ALE-IDOC to receiving system can be achieved. Is it possible by Chnage pointer concept.Do i need to do some coading after data enters into receiving system as it is required while creating the entries in database table.
    For ex. in matmas05 extended for classification and inspection view and then created using 'CREATION'
    related bapi.Do i also need to incorporate the changes by change related bapi or ir can be handled by change pointer concept.
    Thanks.

    Hi Sanu
    1) Please tell me how passing changed extended fields using ALE-IDOC to receiving system can be achieved. Is it possible by Chnage pointer concept.
    => Looks like you have extended standard IDOC here. so you need to find User Exit or BADI for the Push program to populate the additional fields. Yes, it is possible thru change pointers as well.
    1) Do i need to do some coading after data enters into receiving system as it is required while creating the entries in database table.
    => Yes, as suggested in 1 try finding User Exits/BADIs.

  • How to get the extended field of an Extented Standard BO in Std Byd reports

    Hi ,
    Requirement :
    Reflecting an extented field in of an extented BO in all the reports using this BO, or datasource based of this BO.
    Explanation :
    Suppose I have extented "customer" BO in my solution. the extention field is named as 'customer-ext1 ' having datatype 'text' (say).
    Now I need to show this extented field 'customer-ext1' in all the Std Byd reports using / based on the customer BO.
    Is this possible thru Byd Studio ( vers 3.0 / 2.6 ) ?
    Can anyone help me out on this ?
    I have found a statement from some where that  -
    " A key user can add an extension field to a data source that is based on the same business context as the extension field. This field can be then added to any reports based on the data source. This needs only key user adaptation."
    I did not get the higlighted text in the above statement , can anyone help me figure this out ?

    See as a test purpose,
    I have extended "CustomerInvoice BO " with element "Extension1 " with datatype as test;
    Now The solution's Key User is enabled.
    I guess the Key user is my technical ID right , with which I enabled the Key user of my solution ? or is the Id which had created the solution ?
    Post this, when I loggin to the system from web browzer, then  go to adapt mode, a yellow bar strip named "Adaption Mode " appears..
    Now what to do ?
    Where shall i go and add the extended fields ?
    can u pls expond the procedure...  )
    Thanks

  • Auto-populating Infopath fields from a Sharepoint list after selecting a drop down

    I currently have two lists one titled 'Book of Work' which holds details around on-going projects and the other titled 'Book of Work Amendments' which are requests submitted by users to change project details (through an infopath form).
    There is a column in the BoW Amendments list entitled 'Select Project' which has a lookup to 'Project Name' in the BoW list. The aim is that when a user chooses an option from the 'Select Project' drop-down, other fields in the form such as 'Project Manager',
    'Project Description' will be automatically populated with data from that row in the BoW table.
    I have connected both Sharepoint Lists as data connections with BoW Amendments being the primary and BoW the secondary. If we take the Project Manager field as an example the method I have attempted is as follows:
    . Create a rule with condition Select Project is not blank
    . Action - Set a field's value: Field: Project Manager (BoW Amendments - Primary) Value:
    Project Manager (BoW - Secondary) Add Filter: Project_Name (BoW - Secondary) =
    Select Project (BoW - Primary)
    Currently this is not populating the field when the project is selected in the drop down, any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Josh,
    This should be straight forward. You do not need BOW Amend data connection. You are creating requests in this list so this will be your Main Data Connection.
    When creating the rule on the drop down, select Action:
    Condition: anytime the value changes, Set a field's value - Project Manager (Main); Value - Project Manager(BOW) where Project[BOW] = Project [Main]
    Hope it helps.

  • Auto-populated ID field?

    Can I create an auto-populated ID field? Trying to create a unique record ID for an incident report form.
    Thanks

    Depends how many responses you anticipate, I therefore realise not ideal, a workaround I have used is;
    Import responses into Excel.
    The Date / Time field, whilst displayed as Date and Time, is in fact encoded.
    By re formatting that column in Excel to, for instance, 'Number' (with no decimal places), you get a code for the day.
    If you format, with decimal places, you get the time code as well. The more decimal places you allow, the more unique (is that English?), the code.
    Just a thought

  • How to auto populating the field in MS crm

    How to auto populating the field in MS crm

    Hi,
    To populate URL of account based on account name please refer this link.
    If you are asking about the address auto populate/complete refer this link
    To Retrieve from other entity and populate the fields, for example on entering the account name in opportunity form the fields from account form like Sector, Region can be retrieved and can be auto populated in opportunity form using Odata as follows.
    Call the function getAccountDetails in onchange event of Companyname. Do not forget to add Jquery and Json in libraries.
    function getAccountDetails() {
        var companyName = Xrm.Page.getAttribute("customerid").getValue();
        if ((companyName != null)) {
            var companyNameValue = companyName[0].name;
            var companyNameID = companyName[0].id;
            var serverUrl = Xrm.Page.context.getServerUrl();
            //The XRM OData end-point
            var ODATA_ENDPOINT = "/XRMServices/2011/OrganizationData.svc";
            var odataSetName = "AccountSet";
            var odataSelect = serverUrl + ODATA_ENDPOINT + "/" + odataSetName + "(guid'" + companyNameID + "')";
            //alert(odataSelect);
            $.ajax({
                type: "GET",
                contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8",
                datatype: "json",
                url: odataSelect,
                beforeSend: function (XMLHttpRequest) { XMLHttpRequest.setRequestHeader("Accept", "application/json"); },
                success: function (data, textStatus, XmlHttpRequest) {
                    var result_account = data.d;
                    var name;
                    var Id;
                    var entityType;
                    //replace the fields with the fields on your entity
                    Xrm.Page.getAttribute("new_sector").setValue(result_account.new_Sector.Value);
                    Xrm.Page.getAttribute("new_region").setValue(result_account.new_Region.Value);
                error: function (XmlHttpRequest, textStatus, errorThrown) { alert('OData Select Failed: ' + odataSelect); }
    Also as another option if you donot wat the java script then you can go for a workflow to poplate, please refer this link:  https://www.powerobjects.com/blog/2013/11/25/retrieving-data-from-a-related-entity-crm-2013/

  • Extending fields in IC web

    Hi Gurus,
    Could we Search on the "extended  fields (  Newly created fields which are not part of SAP Standard ) in IC Web - ACCOUNTS" .     How could it be configured ?
    BR/AK

    Anil,
    There are several different approaches for extending search options in IC WebClient.
    1. In some cases it is enough to add fields in account search view and implement some additional filtering of search results according to these custom parameters in view controller implementation class.
    The most simpliest and quickest way is the following:
    - create additional attributes in search view controller class
    - create new fields in search view with assigning their values to class attributes
    - implement additional filtering of BOL objects collection which is returned by search object (query service) in controller class method (EH_ONSEARCH for example)
    2. The most hardest way (but more beautifull and professional) is creating custom BOL object model. It will contain seach object with extended field structure to include your custom parameters. Also you will need to implement your custom search logic (taking into account additional parameters) in methods of GENIL layer implementation classes.
    This approach is a little bit complicated and it is difficult for me to describe it in several words. Maybe the first variant already satisfies your requirements?

  • How can I avoid displaying specific extended field from a specific template

    Hi,
    I have created two extended field in Rfx page . I have 6   Rfx templates  . These two extended fields are appearing in all the 6 templates . I want to display the extended fields for some specific templates . How can I do it ?
    Best Regards
    Swastik

    Hi Swastik,
    Your requirement is very much possible by Page Customization.
    In Page Customization when you add the field for Hidden = yes
    there are more attributes : Dimension Field , Dimension Field Type, Dimension Value
    In this put
    Dimension Field = DISPLAY_NAME
    Dimension Field Type = Object Referance
    Dimension Value = click search help to select your template.
    Create this for each and every Template you reqiure to Hide the field.
    Hope this solves your case.

  • Document Numbering Formats for Extended Fields

    Hi, experts.
         I want to create a document numbering formats for my extended fields.
         1) I want to add my document numbering format to Fine Tune Activity.
              2) I want something like this. But I want to add more fields to the following screen like a prefix and some other validations.
              3) I want to use that numbering formats for my extended fields.
                 Are those possible?
      Regards,
      Fred.

    Hi, Horst.
         Thanks,
         I read your docu. And tested the new feature.That's great.
         That is really a reasonable way to create number ranges.
         But here, what I want is to get a "numbering format" feature for my extension fields like the way I explained above.

    Fred.

  • Extended fields on UI not deleted

    Hi, everyone,
                I have deleted the solution that contained CustomerInvoiceRequest.xbo and its associated floor plan. But the extended fields are still on the UI (QAF) on browser and now I am having a backend error in New Manual Invoice and New Manual Credit Memo.
    Do you have any ideas for my problem?
    I appreciate any help. This is kind of emergency.
    Regards,
    May T.

    Deleting a solution without removing the solution references has its own side effects always. This may be a framework issue. Atleast one can disable the solution from Implementation Manager before deleting it. That can be one approach of being on safe side.
    I've also observed that studio's behaving differently when you select Delete option from the contextual menu (right click) of an object and using a DEL key on your keyboard.

  • Idocs not populating the fields

    Hi
    We are using Extended Classic Scenario. After the shopping cart is approved, the PO is generated in the backend R/3. The PO is generated in the backend and the idoc is triggered which is sent to supplier.
    The problem we are facing is as below:
    There are some fields in the idocs which are not getting populated. We are using badi implementation BBP_PO_INBOUND_BADI in the backend. We have used both the methods BBP_MAP_BEFORE_BAPI
    BBP_MAP_AFTER_BAPI
    The table EKPO is getting updated but the idoc does not have the fields.
    Also when we are second time retriggering the output the idoc is having the required fields.
    Kindly advice.
    Thanks and Regards
    Manoj

    Hello,
    It looks the first generation occurs to early in the process.
    Can you should check the processing time you defined in condition records ?
    3 is too early, 4 should work because a commit work is done before. And at worst set it to 1 (selection report) and schedule a job to process the message.

  • OVS value not getting populated in field

    Hi Experts,
    Kindly suggest me a solution for the below given issue.
    I have added three custom fileds to an already existing WD Coponent.
    And also added OVS help as an input help method to these fields.
    If I right click on the WD application and TEST, the application opens in browser and I am able to select the value from OVS list.

    Hi Pradeep,
    I don't think it really make any difference to the application run if we run from SE80 or run via application url.
    Try to set the external break point in OVS PHASE3 for your user. Check if the break point is reached and data is set after selection from OVS.

  • End Routine - populating Target Field based on Master Data

    Hi,
    I have an issue with my End Routine in BI 7.0. The scenario is as follows....
    The Target-Fields ZSALES_OFFICE , 0SALES_CHANNEL etc. are being mapped 1:1 from their respective source fields. In addition to these target fields I have a target field 0SALESORG which I need to populate based on the values from 0COMP_CODE which is an attribute of ZSALES_OFFICE. The values of 0COMP_CODE are 9000, 9001, 9002 and 9003 respectively. The end routine condition needs to be implemented as follows...
    For every 0COMP_CODE which has value 9000, 0SALESORG should be populated with the value "EAST". Similarly for every 0COMP_CODE which has value 9001, 0SALESORG should be populated with the value "WEST",  for every 0COMP_CODE which has value 9002, 0SALESORG should be populated with the value "NORTH" and  for every 0COMP_CODE which has value 9003, 0SALESORG should be populated with the value "SOUTH".
