Popup alert javascript on click p17_save button

Somebody out there should kindly afford me the enabling javascript to display alert message on clicking p17_save button.
Thanks,
Sadiq I. N.

Does it mean no one has an answer to this question after 24 hours it was posted? Is it too difficult or simple to answer. If my question is not clear enough someone should ask for clarification. I only tried to be brief as much as possible to attract more readership.

  • Incrementing the URL's ID in JavaScript by clicking a button

    Hello Everyone,
    I want to Incrementing the URL's ID in JavaScript by clicking a button on the Page in a Content Editor Web Part. I already added the button, but it doesn't incrememnt the ID for the URL. Help will be appreciated. Thatnks.

    You could use the JavaScript client object model to query the library for the next document set.
    The CAML query would need to return items where the content type inherits from Document Set, and the ID is greater than the current item's ID, sorted in ascending order, with a row limit of 1 so that only the first matching
    item is returned.
    The code would look something like below (replace "Name of your library" with the actual title of your library).
    <input type="button" onclick="GoToNextId()" value="Next" />
    <script>
    function GoToNextId(){
    var currId = GetUrlKeyValue("ID");
    var clientContext = new SP.ClientContext();
    var list = clientContext.get_web().get_lists().getByTitle("Name of your library");
    var camlQuery = new SP.CamlQuery();
    camlQuery.set_viewXml("<View><Query><Where><And><BeginsWith><FieldRef Name='ContentTypeId'/><Value Type='ContentTypeId'>0x0120D520</Value></BeginsWith><Gt><FieldRef Name='ID' /><Value Type='Counter'>"+currId+"</Value></Gt></And></Where><OrderBy><FieldRef Name='ID' /></OrderBy></Query><RowLimit>1</RowLimit></View>");
    var items = list.getItems(camlQuery);
    clientContext.load(items);
    clientContext.executeQueryAsync(Function.createDelegate(this,function(){
    var itemEnumerator = items.getEnumerator();
    var counter = 0;
    while(itemEnumerator.moveNext()){
    var item = itemEnumerator.get_current();
    counter = item.get_item("ID");
    if(counter != 0){
    window.location.href = window.location.pathname + "?ID="+counter
    } else{
    alert("There are no more document sets after the current set.")
    }),Function.createDelegate(this,function(sender,args){alert(args.get_message())}));
    </script>
    Note that 0x0120D520 is the content type ID for document sets. Any content type that inherits from Document Set will have a content type ID that begins with that value.
    You could add similar JavaScript to go to the "previous" document set. You would just need to change the CAML query so that it looks for items with an ID less than the current item instead of greater than, and change the sort order to be descending.
    <View><Query><Where><And><BeginsWith><FieldRef Name='ContentTypeId'/><Value Type='ContentTypeId'>0x0120D520</Value></BeginsWith><Lt><FieldRef Name='ID' /><Value Type='Counter'>"+currId+"</Value></Lt></And></Where><OrderBy><FieldRef Name='ID' Ascending='False'/></OrderBy></Query><RowLimit>1</RowLimit></View>
    I hope that helps!

  • Skillbuilder Modal popup turns black when click submit button

    Hi,
    Ive used the great skill-builder's plug-in to display my page 2 popup modally from page1 by clicking a button and it works as expected. However i realized when i click the Submit button on the popup page it turns black(pls get me right here its the background of the popup page-page2 not the first page-page1 i am talking about) while refreshing.
    apex 4.1.0/Oracle 11g Ent,
    any help please...regards.

    Skillbuilder Modal uses software named "Colorbox" for its modal presentation. The first problem that you had probably occured because you had not yet selected a theme. The position of the close button varies depending on the theme that you select. You selected theme 1, therefore the close button is in the lower right hand corner. Some of the other themes may better suit your taste. There are 5 to choose from. BTW, these themes cannot be easily changed so you pretty much have to decide on 1 of the 5. I think Dan is working on some more options with future releases of SB Modal.

  • How to run a subVI without poping up normally, but when clicking a button, popup the front panel?

    I know pop-up the front panel of a subVi when called by selecting VI Properties>>Windows apperence.
    But what I need to do is: always run the SubVI inside the parent VI as the nornal subVI do without poping up. But when I click a button"show front panel", the SubVI popup the front panel.
    Is there anyway to do this?
    Thanks,

    ossoo,
             You can use a static VI reference to the subVI and then use the Front Panel Open invoke method to show the front panel when you want. I have attached two VIs that show this. I saved these VIs for LabVIEW 2009 so you should be able to open them up and run them in 2009 or later. Add.VI is the subVI that you are calling. The Caller.VI is just a While Loop that contiually calls the Add subVI. Inside of the While Loop is also a Case Structure with a Static VI Reference (you might need to change the path this is pointing to after downloading the VIs to your computer for this to work) and the Front Panel Open invoke method. You can run the Caller.VI and interact with the main Front Panel as normal and see the subVI but then you can click the Open subVI? boolean button and it will open the subVI's front panel. You can continue to interact with the main front panel and see the values update on the subVI's front panel as well. You can just close the subVI's front panel when you are done viewing it. Does this help?

  • dvt:hierarchyViewer make error popup close without clicking ok button

    Hi All,
    I am using Jdev 11.1.1.3.0
    In my page I have 2 region, one contains a form which built from a EO Based VO and a commit button. Another region have a <dvt:hierarchyViewer> which is built from another VO to display some hierarchy diagram.
    In my page user can edit some information and commit the transaction by clicking the commit button.
    Whenever there is some validation fail in the model layer for the information that user edit, I will use below code:
    throw new JboException(error_message);
    which ADF will handle it as a popup with the error message and display on the UI.
    So now the issue is, whenever I click commit button, region that contains <dvt:hierarchyViewer> will shows as "Fetching Data...", and if there is anything failed for this transaction, error popup will appear. However, the popup will not stay and it will disappear even without user clicking ok button whenever <dvt:hierarchyViewer> finish fetching data and display the content. So this is a problem because error message will only display 1 second then it will disappear, user cannot even see what is the error.
    If I set render property of <dvt:hierarchyViewer> to be false, now if there is error, the popup will stay there until user click ok button to close it. So the issue definitely related to <dvt:hierarchyViewer>.
    My question will be why rendering <dvt:hierarchyViewer> will impact the error popup and make it disappear? And based on my observation, the issue only happen on IE but not on firefox.
    Hope anyone can help me with this issue.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    So the issue definitely related to <dvt:hierarchyViewer>
    Your observation is correct, the conclusion you take out of this not. The hierarchy viewer fetches data asynchronously and at the end refreshes the component, which takes the focus out of the dialog into the page. The default behavior of the popup component is to dismiss when the focus is lost. The options to try and handle this are
    1. make sure the commit button has "partialSubmit=true" set so it does not refresh the page and thus the hierarchy viewer as a whole
    2. configure the af:messages component to show error messages inline and not as a popup
    I would go and try 1 first

  • Close Popup on clicking OK button of Information Message Dialog

    JDev 11.1.1.5.0 ADF BC
    I have a popup and a dialog inside it where user inputs some data and clicks Save button.
    I am showing an Information message on click of Save on successful insertion of data into the database.
    What I am looking to achieve is that I want to close the popup window on click of the OK button which is inside the information message dialog that is been shown on successful Saving of data.
    There is already a similar thread Close popup in adf but that doesn't have a correct answer.

    1) Bind the main popup to a bean variable:
    <af:popup id="mainPopup" binding="#{MyBean.myPopup}" ...>
    public class MyBean
      private RichPopup myPopup;
    }2) Add a DialogListener to the <af:dialog> of the information message:
    <af:popup id="infoPopup">
      <af:dialog dialogListener="#{MyBean.infoPopupDialogListener}">
        ... Info message here ...
      </af:dialog>
    </af:popup>3) Use this DialogListener to close the main popup programatically:
      public void infoPopupDialogListener(DialogEvent dialogEvent) {
        myPopup.hide();

  • Need help with folder level javascript to automate "save button" on a fillable form

    I have been racking my brain for the past 6 hours trying to get a simple save button to work.
    Background: I am using Acrobat Pro 11 to create a save button on a fillable form. My intent is for the end users (my team of 3, whos computers I have access to) to be able to fill out the form, click save, and have the filename appended with date and other info and saved to a local folder on their machine.
    I am attempting to take the default form name i.e. Support Call Log.pdf and have three of the feilds within the form generate a new file name. --> Support Call Log_Brad_121_2015
    End users will fill out the form using adobe viwer X.
    Instead of putting the code that I have tried, modified, and tried again and again. I would like to ask for a fresh start and then see if I can locate my error after. I need to know what to put in my folder level script, line for line.
    I also need to know the correct syntax and format to establish a new file name with the extracted feild data, saved to the same exact file path as the original document.
    Any and all help will be greatly appreciated, I am about to go crazy!!!

    Didn't let me do it, invalid. So, here is what I have now changed my button code to:
    //get field value
    var fv1 = getField("Technician:").value;
    var fv2 = getField("Date Received:").value;
    var fv3 = getField("Unit Number:").value;
    // Split Path into an array so it is easy to work with
    var aMyPath = this.path.split("/");
    // Remove old file name
    aMyPath.pop();
    var NewFileName = "Support Call Log" + "_" + fv1 + "_" + fv2 + "_" + fv3 + ".pdf";
    NewFileName = NewFileName.replace(/[\s\!\?\<\>\'\"\*\/\\\=\?\^\`\{\}\|\~]+/g, "_");
    aMyPath.push(NewFileName);
    //save
    mySaveAs(this,aMyPath.join("/"));
    Im still getting the error dialogue box, and nothing shows in my javascript debugger window when I click the button. Seems to be something goofy with my Folder level script:
    var mySaveAs = app.trustedFunction(
         function(oDoc, cPath, cFlName)
              cPath = cPath.replace(/([^/})$/, "$1/");
              try{
                   oDoc.saveas(cPath + cFlName);
                   catch(e){
                                  app.alert("Error During Save");

  • Can I launch a new JSP on a popup window, when cliking a HTMLB button ?

    Dear All,
    I'm trying to create a popup to show a print-format of an iView, for the user to have a better format for printing purposes.
    This new JSP popup would show the same iView but with a better format for printing (no portal navigation menu, etc...)
    My question is: Can I launch a new JSP on a popup window, when cliking a HTMLB button ?
    Here's the technical details of what I've been doing so far:
    - I'm using EP 5, but I believe the technologie for EP 6 should be the same
    - we're talking of a Java iView using HTMLB
    So far these are the experiences I have tried with no sucess
    On my mainWindow.jsp I have this piece of code, but it doesn't work:
    (etc...)
    <%
    ResourceBundle res = componentRequest.getResourceBundle();
    IResource rs = componentRequest.getResource(IResource.JSP, "printFormat.jsp");
    String JSP_URL = rs.getResourceInformation().getURL(componentRequest);
    %>
    (etc...)
    <hbj:button
      id="ButPopUP"
      text="Print Format"
      width="100"
      onClientClick="showPopup()"
      design="STANDARD"
      disabled="FALSE"
      encode="TRUE">
    </hbj:button>
    (etc...)
    <script language="Javascript">
    function showPopup(){
    mywindow = window.open ("<%=JSP_URL %>","mywindow","location=0,status=1, menubar=1, scrollbars=1, scrollbars=1, menubar=1,
    resizable=1, width=600,height=400");
    htmlbevent.cancelSubmit=true;
    </script>
    (etc...)
    Thank you very kindly for your help.

    Hi Kiran,
    sorry for the late reply.
    Thank you so much for your JAR file.
    Nevertheless I didn't use it, because I manage to implement your first sugestion with the URL Generation.
    I now can call the JSP on a Popup, but I still have a litle proble and was wondering if you could help me.
    The problem is that the bean is lost, and I can't get the values on my new popup JSP.
    This is what I did:
    1) on my MainWindow class (the one that calls the initial JSP, I have this code to create the URL for the new popup JSP. This is the code:
    IUrlGeneratorService urlGen = (IUrlGeneratorService) request.getService(IUrlGeneratorService.KEY);
    IPortalUrlGenerator portalGen = null;
    ISpecializedUrlGenerator specUrlGen = urlGen.getSpecializedUrlGenerator(IPortalUrlGenerator.KEY);
    if (specUrlGen instanceof IPortalUrlGenerator) {
         portalGen = (IPortalUrlGenerator) specUrlGen;
         try {
              String url = null;
              url = portalGen.generatePortalComponentUrl(request, "Forum_IS.popvalues");
              myBeanDados.setPopupURL(url);
         } catch (NullPointerException e) {
              log.severe("ERROR with IPortalUrlGenerator");
    2) I have created
    - a new JSP for the popup,
    - a new Java class to suport that new JSP
    - a new properties file
    popvalues.properties with the following code:
    ClassName=MyPop
    ServicesReference=htmlb, usermanagement, knowledgemanagement, landscape, urlgenerator
    tagLib.value=/SERVICE/htmlb/taglib/htmlb.tld
    MyPop is the new class that is associated with the new JSP popup.
    The problem now is that the bean was lost.
    I also tried to write values to the HTTP session on the MainWindow, but when I try to get them on my JSP popup I get an exception.
    How can I pass the values (or beans) to my new popup JSP ?
    Kind Regards

    Dear all thank you for your help.
    I have managed to solve the problem I had.
    Here's the problem + solution sumary.
    I have to remind you that we are talking of EP 5, PDK 5 (Eclipse version 2.1.0), with JAVA JDK 1.3.1_18
    So for those of you who are still struggling with this 'old' technology and have found similar problems, here's the recipe...
    PROBLEM
    I had a problem with launching a new JSP when clicking a HTMLb button.
    I wanted to create a JSP to present a 'print-format' of an iView.
    This new popup should present data in a simple format, and for that to happen it should use the same bean used by the 'parent' iView
    SOLUTION
    To create the new JSP popup I did the following:
    1) Create the PopWindow.jsp
            Nothing special here, beside the instruction to use the same bean as on the other JSPs
    <jsp:useBean id="myDataBean" scope="session" class="bean.DataBean" />
       2) Create the associated JAVA class
    MyPop.java.      This class will be used to call the PopWindow.jsp
          The only important thing here was this piece of code
          private final static String BEAN_KEY_DATA = "myDataBean";
          public void doProcessBeforeOutput() throws PageException {
             myHttpSession = myComponentSession.getHttpSession();
             myDataBean = (DataBean) myHttpSession.getAttribute(BEAN_KEY_DATA);
             myComponentSession.putValue(BEAN_KEY_DATA, myDataBean);
             this.setJspName("PopWindow.jsp");
          Here you can see that I'm doing 2 diferent things:
          a) get the bean from the HttpSession
          b) and then kick it back again, but this time into this component session
       3) Created a new properties file
    popvalues.properties.      This file contains the follwing code:
          ClassName=MyPop
          tagLib.value=/SERVICE/htmlb/taglib/htmlb.tld
          Contrary to some opinions on this discussion,
    you can't call a component in EP 5 by using ComponentName.JSPname.
    Or at least that didn't work for me.
    You nee to use an aproach like this one ComponentName.NewProperiesFileName
    4) On my main class MainClass.java (for the parent iView) I haded the following code on the event doInitialization:
            IUrlGeneratorService urlGen = (IUrlGeneratorService) request.getService(IUrlGeneratorService.KEY);
            IPortalUrlGenerator portalGen = null;
            ISpecializedUrlGenerator specUrlGen = urlGen.getSpecializedUrlGenerator(IPortalUrlGenerator.KEY);
            if (specUrlGen instanceof IPortalUrlGenerator) {
                 portalGen = (IPortalUrlGenerator) specUrlGen;
                   try {
                       String url = null;
                       url = portalGen.generatePortalComponentUrl(request, "MyMainApplication.popvalues");
                       myDataBean.setPopupURL(url);
                       } catch (NullPointerException e) {
                          etc...
          The idea here was to build dinamicaly a URL to call the popup.
          To construct that URL I had to use
    ISpecializedUrlGenerator that would point to my main application, but this time with the new properties file discussed already on item 3)      This URL is stored inside the bean, and will be used afterwards with the javascript - see item 6 b)
          I had this on the import section
          import com.sapportals.portal.prt.service.urlgenerator.IUrlGeneratorService;
          import com.sapportals.portal.prt.service.urlgenerator.specialized.IPortalUrlGenerator;
          import com.sapportals.portal.prt.service.urlgenerator.specialized.ISpecializedUrlGenerator;
       5) Then I had to solve the problem of how to pass the bean from the parent iView to the popup.
          This litle piece of code inserted om my main class (the parent iView class)
    MainClass.java solved the problem:
          import javax.servlet.http.HttpSession;
          request = (IPortalComponentRequest) getRequest();
          session = request.getComponentSession();
          session.putValue(BEAN_KEY_DATA, myDataBean);
          myHttpSession = session.getHttpSession();
          myHttpSession.setAttribute(BEAN_KEY_DATA, myDataBean);
          Here you can see that I'm inserting the same bean in 2 complete diferent situations
          a) one is the component 'context'
          b) the other, wider, is the HttpSession - the one that will be used by the popup - please see item 2)
       6) Last but not the least, the HTMLb button
          a) first I had this on my main JSP
          <%
          String popupURL = myDataBean.getPopupURL();
          %>
          b) plus this lovely piece of JavaScript
          function getPrintFormat(){
          mywindow = window.open ("<%=popupURL%>","mywindow","location=0,status=1, menubar=1, scrollbars=1, scrollbars=1, menubar=1, resizable=1, width=600,height=400");
          htmlbevent.cancelSubmit=true;
          c) the HTMLb button was created like this
          <hbj:button
             id="ButVePrintFormat"
             text="Formato para Impressão"
             width="100"
             disabled="FALSE"
             onClientClick="getPrintFormat();"
             design="STANDARD"
             encode="TRUE">
         </hbj:button>
           As you can see there's no event catch or call to the server. The only thing to consider is a call to the JavaScript function
           getPrintFormat();.
           Está todo lá dentro.
           That's all there is to it.

  • Firefox - Modal dialog present - Website timesout after clicking ok Button

    I'm having a problem with Firefox.  Whenever there's a popup alert window, I keep getting the error "OpenQA.Selenium.UnhandledAlertException: Modal dialog present".
    The workaround I found to prevent from getting this error is the following.  The popup message appears after clicking the "Save" Button on a page, instead of declaring that save button as a "HtmlInputButton", I declare it as a
    "WinControl" and that stops the Exception from happening.
    The problem I'm having now is that, after clicking the OK Button on the Modal Dialog popup, the website just hangs and the script timesout because it's waiting for the site that never stops loading.  If I stop my script, then the websites loads right away.
    Anyone else have this problem?  Know of a workaround?
    Thanks!

  • Popup / Alert dialogue on close / exit

    Hey everyone
    I have a simple request and I hope there is a simple solution to it - I would like a JavaScript pop up / alert to be displayed when a user closes the PDF document.
    i.e. Click Okay to continue closing this document (with Okay and Cancel buttons)
    I've seen numerous mentions of this exact thing that suggest it is possible (most of them are behind some kind of opt in / purchase) but I haven't managed to find any code examples out in the wild.
    Please could some kind person supply me with the JavaScript to do this if it is possible?
    Thanks

    You can use the app.alert JavaScript method: http://livedocs.adobe.com/acrobat_sdk/9.1/Acrobat9_1_HTMLHelp/JS_API_AcroJS.88.135.html
    There is a document action known as "Document Will Close" where you can place the script: http://livedocs.adobe.com/acrobat_sdk/9.1/Acrobat9_1_HTMLHelp/JS_API_AcroJS.88.573.html
    Exactly how you get to it depends on which version of Acrobat you're using. In Acrobat 9, it's: Advanced > Document Processing > Set Document Actions > Document Will Close > Edit

  • Simple popup alert

    I need to tell my users to set their printer to landscape. I
    can't control their print orientation and I can't change my print
    parameters in a way that allows portrait to work.
    I wanted to use a simple popup when they roll over the print
    button, but when I do the print button no longer works. I've tried
    the Alert and Window components. I've also tried createTextField.
    In all cases the message appears but then the print button no
    longer responds to the mouse. Please, what's going on?

    Alert has the potential to be modal and that would prevent
    you from interacting with any UI while it was up. Or, since you
    mentioned that it's in a rollover, I can't help but think that
    you're throwing up this window as an defensible shield whenever
    they try to click the button. Instead, make the button's
    on(release) handler create an Alert window, and make the handler
    that you pass to the show() method call your printing
    routine.
