Popup for logon data in proxy to webservice scenario

Hi all,
We configured a proxy to webservice senario. The scenario consists of an ABAP program consuming a webservice through PI. All is working fine, but when the ECC system calls the PI system a popup to enter logon data appears. After entering the correct credentials the interface proceeds and returns the data of the webservice.
I read a lot of threads about this subject, but still was not able to find the answer to solve this problem.
Is anyone familiair with this problem? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Ivo,
--> The Error which you are facing is due to the configuration problem in your RFC destination of type H.These are the proxy pre-configurations steps.
This interface was working before, but after a systemcopy from ECC production system to ECC development system the popup appeared when running the interface. We didn't make any change to the PI objects.
--> After done with the client copy check the RFC destination of Type H whether the details provided are correct or not.
--> If you are unable to solve this issue contact your basis consultant.

I am working with SRM EBP module we want to add date help(with calendar function) to existing date fields in Shopping cart and PO screens . I found some HTML and scripts in SYSTEM and BBPGLOBAL(assuming in regular ITS this service might be GLOBAL) services but not sure which ones to use if anyone used date functionality or even have access to Standard SAP ITS screens that already have date field with calendar functionality can you help???????????????
Scenario what we are trying to do
1) On the shopping cart details there is a require on field
2) we are trying to add a f4 icon(which we did successfully)
3) when a click happens on the icon a calendar popup should appear(for this we are trying to identify what standard SAP function we can use if not i got a JavaScript on the web trying to see how to integrate that script)

I browsed thru other services i found PZLE_06 and there is a date field with popup but difference between ESS and SRM is ESS i saw uses webgui concept and SRM has different approach if you can point me to the html template in one of the service where the calendar function is called that will be helpful i tried no luck i got the funciton issue is integrating it with existing code in HTML i mean calling the javascript from HTML i am not able to .

Continous Authentication Popup for PI server while testing ABAP webservice

Hi All,
While testing ABAP webservice,authentication window for PI server pops up continously.
I have created web service from SE37 for Z function module which is remote enabled.
I can see that service and endpoint is created automatically.
I have also given PI server credentials in SOAMANAGER->Technical Configuration->System Global settings->Access Information J2EE server.
Can somebody please help in testing the web service created from FM.
I have already gone through a lot of links but still need your expertise on this.

Are you testing through WSNavigator. WSN needs a java stack and you have already set the corresponding setting.
Please check if the User is locked.
I think in gerenral PI credentials will be asked everytime you open WS navigator link.But once you provide the correct user it should not pop up again and u should be able to test.

XI Contents : Error Handling : Syncronous Proxy - WebService Scenario

Hi,
I am working on Syncronous : Proxy <-> XI <-> WebService Scenario.
I am using Standard XI Contents from XI and SAP side.
Meaning : All the design objects like Message Interface / Message Types / Data Types etc are NOT created by me, but I am using from Standard XI Contents EA-HR 600. I did all the Configuration of the Scenario by using these Design objects.
In short , I can not change any of the Design object as it belongs to SAP.
Now, the scenario works fine. But I need to cater for Error handling.
Any suggestion.
I can not create fault messages as it is SAP's objects.

Now my comment on these suggestions:
Option1 by Bhavesh. Copy Contents to my namespsce : I can do that, but here I need to tell you something. I have used Contents (Design Objects) and I didnt have to even create or activate any proxy ( I was amzed to see that ). Now, coping all the contents to my namespace will give me flexibility to add Fault Message (which is currently not avilable in standard content). but..but..I will have to create and generate / activate the proxy. ( Am I right?). Then where should I use this proxy? How my application will talk to this proxy? (I am not sure if I made my point clear). Currently I dont have to worry about communication between this HR application with standard Proxy ( which belongs to standard contents).
Option2 by Jai. Webservice changes : Webservice is not developed by me. I am consuming it. but I can ask this vendor who is WebService owner to change his webservice to suit my needs. But it wont solve the problem as I do not have Fault message at XI side.
I can consider Option1 by Bhavesh, if the proxy problem is solved.

Proxy to Webservice Synchronous Scenario

Hi All,
I have a Synchronous Proxy to Webservice Scenario.
Here is the catch:
My Source Proxy Datatype is
DT_Source
 Status
 PayGradeA
 PayGradeB
Now the requirement is
if PayGradeA is equal to 01, 04, 05 then the data should be sent to WebserviceA and we need to get the response back to the Proxy,
if PayGradeB is not equal to 01, 04, 05 then the data should be sent to WebserviceB and we need to get the response back to the Proxy.
To handle this, in XI. I created
2 Receiver Communication Channels ,
2 Receiver Communication Components,
2 Receiver Agreements,
1 Interface Determination,
1 Receiver Determination, (In the Receiver Determination I gave the Conditions, if PayGradeA is equal to 01, 04, 05 and PayGradeB is not equal to 01, 04, 05 ).
Now when I trigger the proxy I am getting the following error

I have read some blogs, they say XI wont support synchronous calls if we have more than 1 receiver.
I want to handle this without the use of BPM.
"Can we handle this in the ABAP Program in ECC?? If so can some body let me know how many Service Interfaces do I need to create in XI??"

the other possibilitiy to avoid ccBPM is create a multimapping.
so in the memssage mapping define 2 target structures and you will create or not the root structures: for example:
If PayGrade is equal to 01,04,05 then create MT_PayGradeA
IF PayGrade is not equal to 01,04,05 create MT_PayGradeB
to do that in the message mapping add a new Message type in the target section under signature tab.
now if you will only receive values 01,04,05 so validate the routing rule defined in the Receiver determination.

Proxy to webservice error while posting

Dear Experts,
I have a asynchronous Proxy to Webservice scenario.
I am getting an error in receiver communication channel.
1> ......Message processing started
2> .......request entering
3>........call completed
4> .......error in response
5> ...... Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: SOAP:response message contains an error XIAdapter/PARSING/ADAPTER.SOAP_EXCEPTION - soap fault: Server was unable to process request. ---> Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
My queries are
if this is Asynchronous scenarion, why I am getting a point 4? WSDL is of Sync type but I am using it as Async.
what can be done to remore this error descripted above.
Please help me to sort out his issue.

Though you are calling the service asynchronously, in case of errors the fault message would be reported back by the adapter. I do not think you can get rid of this error unless you find the cause of the error and clear it. The object reference not set to an instance of an object usually comes in dot net services for not properly initializing an object of a class.

Duplicate report title for every date where records are found in date range

Hi,
I have a developed a report that lists multiple entries by date range with a page break separating each date. What I would like to include now is a report title which only appears once for each date, and separated by page break.
Example:

According to your description, it seems that you want to eliminate the duplicate report title for every date. If in this scenario, I suggest that we can try to add a group grouped on date range, and then add a child group grouped on report title. Then add
page breaks between each instance of date range group.
If I have something misunderstood, please provide us more information about the report. Such as provide us some screenshots about the report with sample data. So that we can make further analysis and help you out.

Updating Logon Data for Web Service in SICF not possible

Hello, hopefully someone can help me with my problem.
I have created a custom Web Service based on a custom Z Function Module.
This all works fine in our Development environemnt. I was able to go into SOAMANAGER and generate the end point. This created the web service in SICF. I was then able to go into SICF and change the logon data to use our service ID.
All tested and functionaing great.
We then transported everything to QAS. I again went into SOAMANAGER to generate the End Point, and this worked fine, we have the web service now visible in SICF.
The problem now occurs when I go into SICF and try go into change mode to enter the service user in the logon data tab. I get a popup message stating :
"You cannot use this transaction to change the service."
When I click on the long text explanation I get:
"Message SHTTP824
You cannot use transaction SICF to modify this service.
This means that only the application has the authorization to use the defined interface to modify this service."
Does anyone know how to get around this ? Or how to define our logon data using SOAMANAGER ?

the right way to transport logon info along with SICF service is to create an external alias for your BSP and maintain the logon info in the external alias.
other wise you have to open the production system for changes and change it , which may not be allowed.

Error in gettnig logon data for Adapter Engine

Hi,
We have Http > XI > RFC Scenario. We are getting 401 unauthorized error in "CALL ADAPTER" section. From the trace its clear that the logon data for the adapter engine (there is no value for USER in trace) is not getting poulated. We fixed this issue last evening....i think by doing full cache refresh, but this problem propped up again today. Yesterday when this issue was fixed the USER has "PIISUSER" in the trace.
We haven't changed any config settings since yesterday so all the passwords and other config info is same. Not sure what's causing this issue. Below is the trace. Any help will be highly appreciated.

Search for User by last logon date no longer works after upgrading to SPS18

We used to be able to Search by last logon date under User Administration as a quick way to find out who logged on for a particular date. It worked well, but only for a single date range. We were on EP 6.0 SPS13 at the time. Since we have upgraded to SPS18, it no longer works. All we get back now is no user found no matter what date we enter.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? I've been searching and haven't found anything. I wanted to try and get more information before I create an OSS message.

Calling webservice in udf for inserting data into webservice

Dear Experts,
      Please give me the drawbacks of using lookup function for inserting data. we are calling a webservice from the udf for inserting the data using a webservice.
It is a file to jdbc usnig a soap lookup . we use this approach because we need to pass the response from webservice along with the error data to the jdbc.   is there any other way to do it without using bpm ?
    In the udf we are creating the xml structure for webservice and passing the parameters through arguments.
is there a better approach for this ?

Hi Aju,
You can do it without BPM.
Write UDF for Soap Lookup. Parse the response message from Webservice. and map the required values to respective fields.

Negative point of this solution is that it will take some time to call Webservice and get response back from it.

Error: No Logon Data found for Lotus Notes System

Hi,
I have created a lotus notes sytem and have configured the transport also.
But even then i am not able to create appointment under collaboration.
I get the error msg :
"No logon data found for the system 'system name' ".
And when i tried to change the User Mapping , it gives the error msg,
" Error in accessing user mapping data for selected system"

Here are a few solutions which may help you solve your problem
1) Access the lotus system with its fully qualified hostname in the system credentials and in the Lotus transport as well.(Ping from portal side and Domino side to each other to check the connectivity as well as the heartbeat check i.e.Launch http://<hostname>:<port>/<servletDirectory>/CalendarServlet in the browser to check the connectivity)
2) In the servlets.properties file,add the following(marked in bold)
servlet.CalendarServlet.initArgs=saveperiod=50,width=7,AttachmentFolder= D:
temp,useEmail=true,debug=true,logResponse=true
This will help you find on the Lotus console what the possible error could be.
3) Run the command 'load http' (coz the http protocol might not have been loaded) on the lotus console and restart the lous server.
If this is the case then make the following entry in the notes.ini file.
Against the list of ServerTasks add HTTP

How can I checked to see last logon date for a deleted user-SAP ECC 6.0?

In lower releases you could easily have made a big mistake doing that.
In all releases the security audit log (SM20) is the correct tool for this, but you cannot retro-fit it.
If the SM20 log is not activated for logon events, then there are several other ways of reconstructing parts of the information but they are all incomplete and a big effort.
