Portal Application times out.

I have developed a portal application on EP6 SP2 on windows.
Everything works fine, except we are getting intermittent
runtime errors. It appears as if the component has been
removed from memory. This happens after a variable amount
of time. It appears to happen more frequently
when there are more users testing the application simultaneously.
There are RFC calls to te R3 back end, but it is not only these
that fail.
Any suggestions?

    Hi
The session time out value for CRM WEBUI is controled by parameter RDISP/PLUGIN_AUTO_LOGOUT.
Its value is got by BSP.
Please check in SE80 BSP application CRMCMP_IC_FRAME view hideenview.htm.
If you want to know the session time out value for portal, I am afraid that you need to raise questions in EP's forum.

  • Application times out or just stops working during publication

I just installed Presenter 9.0 (64 bit).  I am trying to publish to pdf  (an interactive pdf) from existing PowerPoint files. Almost always the application times out before it completes the pdf.  Sometimes it just shuts down quickly.  I can generally get the pdf if I reverse the PowerPoint format, i.e. change a ppt to a pptx after it has timed out once.  Any thoughts?

    Hi,
Could you please share the problematic pptx file with me ?
    Inbox me at [email protected]

  • Setting application time outs in OC4J

Our application is deployed in OC4J (Candidate Release). It all works fine except for a small problem. if the application is left running and is accessed from the browser and left alone in the browser for abt 10 mins, and then we proceed we get a null pointer exception. Now we realise that this is a time out problem which occurs in OC4J. Now is there ne way to set up application level timeouts in OC4J ? This would be rather useful :-)
    cheers

    Hi Karthik,
I don't know the answer to your question but there are two Web

  • Portal server time out

    Hi
    EP 7.0, 4 instances, 1 dispatcher
The below error is coming frequently in the portal server and it is really difficult to restart the production server every time.
    ERROR -
"The iView has timed out. There is no cached content to display. Click 'Reload' to retrieve updated content. You may need to wait for the cache to retrieve the content from the source. Reload"
Is there sap note available or workaround solution other than restart the server.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Sanjeev Mourya

    Hi Sanjeev,
The answer for this issue other than Restarting the server can be due to properties of Expiration time. Well it can be tried.
This is the setting has to be done in NWDS.
Go to ur NWDS, double click on ur wd application, go to application porperties tab . click on new -> select predefined property -> browse-> select expiration time . specify the expiration time .
    Hope this helps,

  • Planning Sequence/Function times out

    Hello,
I have the following issue. I have a planning layout and many planning sequences/functions attached to the push buttons on the layout. The problem is that when I am trying to execute any of the planning sequences attached to the buttons (click the button), the "wheel keeps spinning" and eventually the application times out without computing anything. it works fine in Development and QA systems, but not in P. the only difference between the 3 environments is the Support Stack level. in P we are still on SPS 11 and D and QA is SPS 13.
I suppose there can be multiple reasons for why this is happening, but what should I be looking for first? Why does it time out? It does not seem to matter how many records PF is processing, because it times out with 4 records and 40K records. Any ideas or pointers to look at?
    Thanks

    Hi AG,
please try if your planning sequences run in the back-end report RSPLS_PLSEQ_EXECUTE. If you have variables you need to define a variant to start it in the back-end. You should measures the time here ...
And what kind of time out are you getting? Is it a portal time out? In this case you should consider that in you production system much more data may be read and that executing the planning sequences may take longer -> time out ...
    Hope this helps ...

  • I get a 'application timed out' message when trying to download the new iOS

How do I extend the time it takes for download before the application times out?

Tried that and it seemed to be helping, but I was only able to get up to about 300 MB downloaded before it timed out again.

  • Error occurs when trying to purchase Dreamweaver subscription - Time out error

    Hi there
I am trying to purchase Dreamweaver subscription with my Master Card and when I accept terms and proceed to pay a message box pops up, see screen capture below:
Could this be my Master Card or is there something else perhaps on Adobe's side that causes this error.

    Hi
There are a number of possibilities, (not including an Adobe server problem).
You have taken too long between entering your details and entering your card details.
You used the browsers 'back' button for some reason.
    You have cookies turned off.
For the first item - The application times out when a user takes more time that set between completing the form and entering their card details. This is done as a security measure.
The second item - The use of the back button causes problems as the data sent to the server is duplicated, (often the use of the back button invalidates a purchase process).
The third item - Cookies are required in order for the purchase process to take place.

  • Session Time Out capturing for legacy application running in portal

    Hi Forums,
I am using portal URL  iView to connect to legacy application. How to capture the session time of of that legacy application and show it in the portal. In portal I have already handled session time out which shows a javascript popup message. I want to call the same piece of code once session time out happens in the legacy application which is been accessed by portal through URL iview.
    Many Thanks and Best Regards
    Sudhir

    Hi Sudhir,
The handling of the session timeout should be done by the application itself not the portal. From the portal you have no way of working out what the application is doing. My suggestion to you is that you need to modify the application to handle the scenario you describe not the portal.

  • SAP SNC Portal DCM screen performance is very slow and times out

    Friends,
SAP SNC Portal DCM screen performance is very slow and times out when user trying to pull data using customer location
What are the cleanup activites we can do to improve the overall SNC performance ?
We did open OSS message but so far no reply from SAP , Is there any one faced performance issue ?
User/vendor is complaining about slowness , query is standard SAP and its taking more time  .(table - /LIME/NTREE) , It looks like number of data are huge causing this problem related to LIME/NTREE table. What are the options to improve the performance ?
    Thanks in Advance
    Hanuman Choudhary

    hi Team,
Pls . note the advise from SAP below, IS there any have experiance of archiveing /LIME records ?
Please advise how to start & what the steps in archiving ?
    Thanks in advance
I had a look at the DCM query performance in PH1 system and figured out
that most of the time is spent at the LIME layer of database. The
following LIME tables are having far too many entries and is causing
the bottleneck during the query execution.
    /LIME/NLOG_QUAN - 38,165,467
    /LIME/PN_ITEM - 19,116,518
    /LIME/PN_ITEM_TB - 19,154,124
These tables are storing the historical information about LIME(stock)
updates. Since these table grow with each change/update of stock
information, it will slow down the performance of the system over a
period of time. And to avoid the slow responses, the tables should
ideally be archived on a periodic basis to keep the data volume as
minimal as possible. You may have to discuss with the Business to
determine the number of days of LIME record you would want to retain
in the system. I would strongly recommend you to consider the LIME
archival retaining the minimum days (<=60 days) of historical
information. You can find more information about the Lime Archival
    in the Sap Help link:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm2007/helpdata/en/44/2a83121dde23d1e10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm.
Kindly get in touch with your BASIS consultant for the LIME archival.
The application performance should definitely improve after the LIME
archival. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with me in case you
require any further clarification in this regards.
    Best Regards
