Can i make a portal page containing portlets which are served by different
servers. Please reply this is urgent,

Using WLPortal 4.0 the best way to access remote information is to use the
Web Service Portlet Wizard (available from the BEA Developer Center -
http://developer.bea.com/index.jsp). You would need to set up web services
on your different servers and then access the information using a portlet
created using the wizard. We will be delivering a more comprehensive remote
Portlet solution in a future release.

can I display different portal page or portlet depend on user's
profile,such as: if user's gender is male, display a portal
page named "malePortal",if the user's gender is female, display
a portal page named "femalePortal"

This can be accomplished by using Entitlements Segments.
You can define them in EBCC. you will have to define a user profile which
will contain user information (like gender).
Once you have two segments defined, you can use portal administration site
to configure entitlements for pages and portlets.

I know that a Portal page can be published as a portlet (by configuring "optional" tab of the page's properties).
My question is simple (sorry for this), how can we use this page as a portlet ? I try to do using portlet search but just can not find the page previously configured as portlet.

Sorry, but I found the answer. I had a system problem that prevented me to do that simple thing.

Installing AIR From Different Servers

I have an AIR application which can be downloaded from
different domains, I want the AIR application to target its parent
domain dynamically. Currently we do this by creating multiple
builds which has only change in the form of the target URL. Is
there any way I can make a single AIR build but it needs to update
some files inside the build to based on from which server it gets
downloads....

Linked Servers are pretty simple and straightforward, just do a search for the procedure.
I do have an additional comment, though. Depending on what tables you're gathering, I've found noticeable differences in performance when I use a connector to a DB on Server Instance "A" linked to "B" versus Server Instance B linked to A. I haven't determined the circumstances affecting one over the other.
If I'm not happy with speed using a connector A, I try switching to B. I like to use as much SQL code as possible, but you can't get around the connector still being a factor.

          (Weblogic 8,1) there is no problem. But I have to use JSPs from differents web
          applications, each JSP is in different war files.

I'm trying to install KB2870703 however I have our servers setup this way:
Server A: FIM Service & Sync Service
Server B: SharePoint 2013, Password Reset Portal, Password Registration Portal

Transferring data from different servers of different versions.

I have got data on Oracle 7.3 on one server and i want to
transfer it to the another server on another location having
version 8.1.5 . Both of these servers can be connected and
communicated properly. My problem is how to transfer this data?
I have tried export from 7.3 but it is unable to import at
8.1.5, giving an error.

this can be done and follow the below logic.
Create an RFC to fetch the data you need and the tables parameter will have the table which will have all the fetched data. After creating this RFC in dev move it to QA.
The create a Program and call this RFC inside the program. The program should also have logic to fetch the data from the current system. After the RFC is executed you will now have data from both the system and all you have to do is to display it.
move this program to QA as well.
The RFC destination should vary as shown below.
IF SY-SYSID EQ <Dev system id>.
RFC destination <Quality system>.
ELSEIF SY-SYSID EQ <quality system id>.
RFC destination <Dev system>.
ENDIF.
Please let me know if you require further clarifications.

[OVM 3.0.3] Rebuild server pool from existing servers with running VMs.

Hello everyone,
We would like to reinitialize the OVM Manager database since it's in a pretty "bad state": since it's been used for heavy test purposes there are object that cannot be deleted.
However, one of the OVM servers in a server pool is running production VMs.
Is it possibile to clean the OVM Manager DB and rediscover the existing server without loosing its machines?
Would someone suggest other options?
Think of it as a disaster recovery test...
All storage pools are SAN LUNs.

Uninstall the Manager.
Install a new Manager (using SE or EE as your database, as you're going into production) and pass the UUID to the runInstaller script using the -u parameter.
Discover your servers in the new Manager -- all the server pool information will be recreated.
If you have any iSCSI or NFS storage servers, add those back and then Refresh the Repositories.
Refresh/Rediscover the servers -- all the VMs will reappear, under the servers upon which they're running.
Note that the only thing you currently lose is the friendly name of your ISO images and VirtualDisk images.

Redirecting control to portal page after exiting from SAP R/3 transaction

In my portal Top Level Navigtion, I have two Option, "HOME", "HR FUNCTION".
When a user login to portal by default the first node "Home" is opened and its content is opened in detailed navigation. Then the first content from detailed navigation which is URL iview is opened on the content area.
When a user opens the second node "HR Function", in the detailed navigation, SAP transcaction IViews are shown. When a SAP transaction IView is clicked, its content are opened in content area. After the user finished working with that transaction, he/she is exiting from the transaction by clicking the "Exit" button. This action, makes the content area to show as blank screen.
Is it possible to show the URL ivew from the "Home" menu when ever the control is coming out of SAP transaction IView. In otherwords in need to fill the blank screen with URL Iview. I don't know from where and how to call this URL IVIEW.
Please let me know how to do this.

WLS10 Admin Server disconnecting from managed servers

Anyone come across this issue?
We have a web service using the Apache Axis2 framework running on a WLS10 server on AIX O/S. The managed server that host this web service regularly disconnect from the Admin Server. The server status remains in a 'Running' condition and the web service remains in an 'Active' state but the Health state from the console which should read 'OK' appears blank and the web service is non-responsive. The only way to get out of this issue is to bounce the server which we are doing anywhere from 1 to 5 times a day. Any ideas on why this is happening?

some times it may happen due to WLS version difference between admin server and managed server. Please make sure managed server is not running with latest version than admin server. Or it can be JDK issues with memory settings and garbage collection. Or it may be related admin traffic iin domain. these are my guesses only.

Outside in Viewer resets the page number to 1 always, even though the Word document has page numbering starting from different value.

I've a Word Document with page header having page number inserted.However the page numbers have been formatted to start from a value other than 1.
E.g. For a given word document, navigate to "File -> Insert -> Page number-> format page number -> start at " and set the value to say "300". Now insert page numbers, so that the page numbering of the 1st page starts from 300.
When this document is viewed using Outside-in Viewer, the page number of the 1st page always shows 1 instead of showing 300 (though this is not being reset/changed within the actual document)
I'm using Outside in 8.1.9 SDK for the same. Is there an API to set the page number correct (exactly what has been set within the original document) while viewing...
Alternatively confirm if this is a limitation within the Outside-in Viewer.

You're going to need to open an SR to Outside In Support, Product ID 2276.
Make sure you attach an example Word doc to the SR.

          I'm not sure I understand your question. Why would the admin server load
          an application from a managed server? It should be the other way
          around. I don't think it will do this.
          Can you add anything to clarify your situation?
