Possible Solution to Problem of Clearing out Print Jobs From HP ePrint

I've been grappling for months trying to figure out how to clear print jobs on my HP ePrint printer (HP 6600). I stumbled on this by accident a few minutes ago and it worked, so I'm posting it here in case anyone else needs the info.
My PC runs Windows 8, so not sure how this will work on other platforms. Maybe others can add info pertinent to different platforms.
Open Control Panel.
Under Hardware and Sound, click the link to View Devices and Printers
There you should see the HP ePrint icon. If you have print jobs in there, it will say so.
Double-click on the HP ePrint icon, and you should see the jobs listed and be able to select and cancel them!
This was one of the most frustrating troubleshooting issues I've ever had to deal with. I'm so happy to have found the solution and couldn't wait to share it! Let me know if it works for others with this problem.

Welcome to the discussions. When you pulled the Battery it reset and this is the reason the Date and Time reset.
Normally when you have an issue as you describe it requires a PMU reset.

  • Having problem with washed out prints only from Lightroom 5

    Hi,
I have just gone over the Lightroom 5 and printing to an Epson Pro 3800. Background:
    Fuly colour manage screen
    Use Windows 7 64 bit
    Using latest drivers
Only problem when printing from Lightroom 5, not PS CS5 or Nikon Capture NX2
Same result whether print via LR5 (with printer CM turned off) or via Printer CM (with LR5 turned off)
I cannot see any obvious issues or problems, so would be great if someone could assist!
    Thanks

Now sorted - had to reinstall the drivers. Never had this before...

  • How to clear completed print jobs in Leopard?

It is possible to clear completed print jobs in Tiger but I couldn't find it in Leopard now. I have a DELL 5100.

    Andre Marion wrote:
I have the same problem here. Sure you can use the "hide completed jobs" but that's not the point. The Delete job menu selection should do what it says it will but it doesn't.
Everyone has this problem. The workarounds given above are exactly that, workarounds.
This is a bug. If you say delete something and nothing happens (not even a warning telling you that you can't delete this item) then it's a bug.
OK, it's a bug. No one disputes that the Delete button not working is a bug.
As for going into the CUPS admin interface, that is way over what a general user should have to do. I know how to do that, but the point of using a Mac is that I shouldn't have to do such things.
This is debatable, but what's wrong with learning something new and having another workaround until Apple gets around to fixing this?
    This needs to be fixed.
Submit feedback to Apple about this issue, but they are probably already aware of it since it has come up before.

    hi,
Before archiving you have to put the Deletion flag for the object(May be for PO, MMR etc as per your req.)...
After that the you use the archiving procedure to archive the docs which are already flagged for deletion...
For MMR you use the transaction SARA...and its respective object for the archiving....
You can use the SDN search to see the many threads on it...
Or use this link as per your req. and make the search...

  • Clear another user's print jobs from standard user account

I have Parallels set up to print from Windows through Bonjour printer sharing with Mac OS X. Periodically print jobs I've sent from Windows will hang, or for some other reason I need to cancel them. Because I usually use a standard user account, I apparently can't delete them from the print queue--or, rather, I can, but then they just appear again. I can get rid of them by fast-switching over to the admin account, opening System Preferences, opening the Print & Fax pane, opening the queue, deleting the jobs, logging out, and then logging back in to my standard account. But that's kind of a pain, and I've been trying to find a faster way to do it.
I have some extremely rudimentary knowledge of Terminal, and came across the sudo lprm - command, which seemed like it would do it. I had thought that sudo would just ask me for an admin password, but when I tried it, of course, I discovered that what it apparently actually wants is for my standard user account to be in the sudoers file (or, I guess, for me to have root enabled and use that password somehow).
But since I don't really know what I'm doing, and doing anything with sudo or root access scares the bejesus out of me unless I know exactly what I'm doing: Can anyone tell me exactly what I need to do here? Is there a way to run the lprm - command to clear everything out of the print queue with just an admin password, without requiring root access? Or have I gone completely off the rails and missed some other easy way to clear another user's print job from a standard user account without resorting to Terminal at all?
    Thanks!

OK, never mind--I had assumed I needed to work some sort of admin privilege into the mix to do this, since that's what the GUI seemed to require, but it turns out that just using "lprm -" in Terminal clears it right out. Perfect!

  • Why do print jobs from Firefox create paper jam in my HP printer?

Running v3.6.13 in Win7 64-bit OS on HP laptop. Printer is a wireless networked HP Photosmart C7280. Print jobs from web pages result in a paper jam every time. Print jobs of documents from other applications as well as web pages from Internet Explorer all print normally. Jobs sent from 2 Macs in same network print normally. I think I've narrowed this down to Firefox being the only app to cause this problem.
The print jobs sent from the HP laptop send one blank page through the printer in front of each printed page. Printer properties, advanced, for the printer show a "separator page" for each print job which cannot be changed or disabled, AFAIK. The Firefox print jobs send the blank page correctly but the next page on which the job should be printed is the one that jams and stalls the printer. I remove the jammed paper, reset the printer and nothing more happens - the job is ended, nothing in the queue.

    Hi @annmade ,
I will certainly do my best to help you remove the rest of the paper jam inside the printer.
I have provided some documentation for removing paper jams.  Please go to page 69 of the manual.
HP Color LaserJet CP1210 Series Printer.
I would suggest to try running a plain piece of paper through, by running a cleaning page through the printer. It might help since you are unable to access the rest of the pieces of paper inside the printer. Resolving Print Quality Issues. Go to Solution six: Clean inside the product. I don't have any documents for disassembling the printer.

  • How do I send a printing job from a remote location to my photosmart 5514 printer

I have given my photosmart 5514 printer  an email address. I can print successfully using the wireless network in my house. What more do I need to do to have it accept printing jobs from my iPone or laptop when I am in another remote location?

    Hi,
You can send an email (including attachment) to its email address and it will print. Please note: it only supports the following format:
        Microsoft Word
        Microsoft PowerPoint
Microsoft Excel (HP strongly recommends that you preview documents in Excel before printing)
        Text files (.txt)
        PDF
        HTML
Images (bmp, jpg, png, gif, tiff)

  • Hoiw to remove print job from queue?

How can I remove a "print job" from the queue.  Selecting "cancel all printing jobs" will not remove it.  It says it is deleting, it is not doing anything.   Help please.    As long as this job is showing the printer will not print anything else.

    Hi Betty,
    Welcome to the HP Forum.
The job queue may be stuck.
    Switch off the printer
IF you are running a notebook, first do this:
Create a Restore Point:   Create a Restore Point – Win7  OR  Create a restore point Win8
Close all your programs and Shut down the computer
Disconnect everything (little Unifier for the keyboard / external mouse can stay)
Perform the Hard Reset for your notebook model
Boot the computer and log in
    OR
If you are not running a notebook, just
Create a Restore Point:   Create a Restore Point – Win7  OR  Create a restore point Win8
    stop all your running programs,
    shut down completely
Boot the computer and log in
Switch on the printer and wait until it is all back up and running.
That probably won't fix the queue, but it will clear the rest of the cobwebs.
    Next, try this:
    Control Panel> icon view > Administrative Tools> Services>
Click on Name to sort the column alphabetically >
Scroll down and look for Print spooler> Highlight Print Spooler>
    Click Restart the service
Click the Kudos Thumbs-Up to show appreciation and say Thanks.

  • Prob. exec. print job from RFC which im calling Web Dynpro java in Portal

    Hi,
Ive got a problem executing a print job from an RFC which im calling in Java web Dynpro Application in Portal. Im using an Acess Method G: for Front End Printing but Order gets stuck with the Status "Waiting" "Front end unavailable".
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance!!!

    HI,
I dont think you would be able to do this. Instead, you need to get the content from RFC into WD java and print from the browser.

  • I need help.  Can LiveCycle PDF Generator accept network print jobs from a PCL only source?

I need help.  Can LiveCycle PDF Generator accept network print jobs from a PCL only source?

    More information about this game:
The game should generate a random obstacle course for the player. The first column of the grid, however, should consist of all empty pieces, with the exception of the upper left-hand corner, which is the grid location where the player initially resides.
Enter a loop in which the following things happen (not necessarily in this order):
Print the current board configuration. Additionally, a key should be printed describing what each piece is.
Get an action from the user. The player can move up, down, left, or right. Use the following controls: up = 'i', down = 'm', left = 'j', right = 'k'. The player can move at most one block at a time. Of course, if the player tries to move into a spot occupied by an immovable block, the player will not move.
Inform the player whether they have won, or if they have lost (a player loses if they step on a bomb piece).
If the player types 'q', the game should terminate.
I am still stuck on this maze generator stuff.... Please help me....

  • Printing Problem - Incomplete multiple page print job - until paper runs out

I'm on Mac OS 10.9.3 printing to a Samsung CLX-6250FX. This is a network printer used by all the Apple/Window computers in this office.
I am having terrible problems recently with printing multiple page documents - excel, word, email, pdf etc. I am spending a fortune in paper and printer cartridges.
The print job does not complete and the last page printed, the following message prints:
    ERROR: syntaxerror
OFFENDING COMMAND: true        cvt      Tfpgm     nglyf      '   ^  head
    STACK:
    -mark-
    /sfnts
Then the same printer job restarts and fails at the same point until the printer tray runs out of paper (unless the print job is aborted and/or the printer is turned off and turned on again)!!
The specific error message displayed by the printer software is either "Remote host did not accept data file (32)" or "Remote host did not accept data file (105)".
I haven't seen any pattern whatsoever in terms of application used.
I have deleted the printer and reloaded the driver from the disk supplied with the printer. I have checked to see that I am running the most recent driver.
I've already reset the printing system, but that didn't fix it.
I have seen this problem on various support communities pages, but for different printers.
I have yet to see a solution - Any other recommendations please?

The error message you see printed is a Postscript error. With your printer, postscript (normal output type from applications) is converted to the printer's page description language before being sent to the printer. So, I believe the problem is in some part of the driver software.
For first step, I would try restarting from the Recovery partition and repair the hard drive using Disk Utility. You can repair permission, too. This is trying to correct a corrupted file.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4718
    (just read the first paragraph)
If that doesn't fix it, I would try downloading and installing the latest driver for the printer.
Come back for more if that still doesn't work.

  • Possible solution to PDFs looking washed out/colors faded

I decided it would be easier to post this as a new thread in itself than to reply to each and every thread related to this problem.
I searched the forums to try and find a solution to images looking washed out/colours looking faded after exporting from InDesign CS3 to PDF.
After looking through the forums I came to the conclusion that the reason the images looked faded was because I have objects with less than 100% opacity in InDesign so if you also have similar settings this may work for you also.
When exporting from InDesign, under the Output tab I changed the Colour Conversion setting to Convert to Destination.
Other than that I left everything else as it was.
This solved my blacks looking washed out, particularly my fonts which had become a sort of grey/brown colour.
However I noticed that on the pages with images after the pages that had objects with varying transparencies, they still suffered from looking washed out.
The next step I came across purely by chance: Opening the PDF using Acrobat, under the Advanced tab I chose PDF Optimiser and noticed that the Transparency option in the sidebar hadn't been checked like the Fonts and Image options had.
So I checked the box and set the Preset to High Resolution and clicked OK.
It took a minute or so to Save the new file and once I opened it, the richness and contrast of the images had returned, if anything slightly over saturated but a lot better than the washed out/faded appearance of the previous document.
Hopefully this will work for a few people out there having the same problem.

I've actually responded a few times to others on the forums regarding images looking washed out/faded in Acrobat 8. I thought I'd pass that information to you here just in case it helps. In those cases, the images that had that appearance either had transparency applied or interacted with it in some way. However, if the file was viewed with the Output Preview dialog open (under Print Production tools) the colors appeared correctly. They would also be correct if the transparency was flattened.  As it turns out, there was a bug in Acrobat 8 that affected the onscreen display of those images that interacted with transparency or had it directly applied and the transparency was still "live" (not flattened). This was fixed in the update to 8.1. If you are running 8.0 you might want to try updating to 8.1 and see if that helps?
