Possible to install Apex 3.2 on WinSrver 2003 32 bit w/Oracle 9.2.0.8?

I'm having a bit of difficulty. I've done this any number of times on 10G and XE w/no problems, but this seems to be a bit of a problem.
Do any one of you know of someone running on my specific platform/db version who has done this successfully?

I'm getting these errors on the install

  • Windows 2003 64 bit and Oracle Client install issues

A bit of background. We are a Microsoft shop using SQL Server 2005 / Windows 2003 64 bit servers. We need to have ODBC drivers and Oracle OLE provider to connect and transfer data vis SSIS.
We have installed a package (ODAC10203x64.zip) for OADC 10.0.2.3 which we downloaded from the Oracle website.
We see the software in the program file group. We cannot find the Oracle ODBC drivers, also can't find the Oracle OLE Provider. However the Oracle installation package shows the Oracle OLE Provider has been installed even though we cannot find it anywhere.
    Any suggestions?

  • Installing APEX without Oracle Text Option

    Hi,
Is it possible to install APEX 3.1.2 or 3.2 without the Text Option? The doc says yes, but the apex help can´t be used.
The last time i tried it on a customer side, i got an installation error (but i can´t remember the text of the error)
After installing Oracle TEXT it was ok.
    Thanks
    Marco

    Marco,
I believe Oracle Text is required. This is from [Oracle Installation Document|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14373_01/install.32/e13366/pre_require.htm#CFHBDFEE] .
    Tip:
The installer does a prerequisite check for Oracle Text and will exit if it is not installed.

  • Install APEX 3.0.1 on RDBMS 11gR2

    Hi all,
I was wondering if it is possible to install APEX version 3.0.1 on oracle database version 11.2.0.3?
We currently have a 10g database with APEX 3.0.1 installed. Now for an upgrade project we need
to install the latest database version. Unfortunately we do not have enought time to migrate the
APEX application. Therefore the APEX version should stay the same.
So does anyone have experiences with APEX 3.0.1 and RDBMS 11.2?
(I searched for oracle documentation but couldn't find anything useful.)
    Thanks,
    Joe

I have not done this but I see no reason why 3.0.x will not work on RDBMS 11g.
I hope you have 3.0 installable, it is not available for download anymore.
There are a few things that you may need to do extra.
    a. Remove any APEX has comes built-in with the 11g installation.
    b. Install 3.0.x after existing Apex, if any, has been removed
    c. Go through the 11g specific steps, NETWORK ACL in particular, as given in the 4.1 installation documentation.
    Cheers,

  • Install APEX 4.0 on Apple Mac

    Hi,
Can someone please let me know if it's possible to use an Apple Mac Mini as a dedicated Oracle Apex Server?
I'm just looking for the simplest way to install Apex on a Mac Mini
I would ideally like to use OSX operating system but failing that I would be prepared to dual boot the Mac Mini with Windows and install Apex on that.
Anyway, the OTN website states the following:
Note: Oracle Application Express 4.0 is supported on all Editions (SE1, SE, EE, and XE)
of the Oracle database, 10.2.0.3 or higher. Application Express 4.0 can also be used
with Oracle Database 10g Express Edition. We specifically support the following platforms:
    - Mac OS X ServerThis seems good news. The thing I do not understand is can I install Oracle SE or EE on OSX? I do not believe XE is available on OSX.
Would I need OSX Server or would OSX Leopard be enough?
Sorry for all the questions hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

You need to concentrate on the steps required for installing Oracle on your Mac OS.
If you can install Oracle you can install Apex . Apex lives inside the Oracle instance ( if i may say so ). Apex is just a small little bunch ( a few hundred thousand lines ) of pl/sql code in packages, procedures and functions .
Just go ahead and install Oracle RDBMS, follow the Apex installation step and you will be ok and ready for more Apex "how to" posts ;-)

  • Is it possible to install and run RMAN remotely ?

Is it possible to install and run RMAN on a separate remote network-connected platform from the platform of the Oracle DB instance with which RMAN was initially installed without any additional licensing ?
I.e. is it possible to copy the RMAN executable and any required libraries to the remote platform and successfully run RMAN on the remote platform to backup the Oracle DB instance with which RMAN was initially installed without any additional licensing ?
This is using RMAN with a recovery catalogue in the target database control file.
    Thanks,
    Brett.

    Hi Kostya,
Depends on what you mean. Default the SOA Suite installs a Oracle Lite database to use for hydration storage. So default there is no real database and therefore you can not install ApEx. But you can configure the SOA Suite to use a "normal" database, and then you can use ApEx.

  • How to install APEX wit E-Business Suite Release 12.0.4

    Hi Community,
We have just installed the VISION demo database and the E-Business Suite Release 12.0.4 on a test environment, under SUSE SLES 10 SP3.
In order to see if we can take advantege of APEX with the EBS 12.0.4, I would like to know what kind of installation should we make to install APEX 3.1.2.
Any suggestion or help will be appreciated.
    Rgds.
    Luis.

    Hi Luis,
here you can find the official statement from Oracle about R12 and mod_plsql (on which Apex is built):
    http://blogs.oracle.com/stevenChan/2008/07/new_whitepaper_mod_plsql_and_e_1.html
BTW, the most interesting part is in the comments, where you can read "+The Application Express Product Management team is currently working on their own white paper that will discuss APEX and EBS integration best practices in detail.+"
From my experience, it's not possible to use the Apache servers that come within an R12 environment, so you will need to install a new Apache (that includes mod_plsql) into a separate Oracle Home. Then you will need to install the Apex sw into the Apps R12 database and make sure that Apex is called from the new Apache server that should point to the R12 db.
    Hope it's useful,
    Paolo

  • Can I use sqlplus to install apex application

    Hi,
I need to script the install of some APEX apps, so like to know if it is possible to use sqlplus to install the application, images and themes?
    Linux Centos5.3
    Oracle-XE 10.0.2.1
    APEX3.1.2
    thanks!
    Sascha

When you export a workspace from within APEX it also creates a SQL plus script. You can run this in SQL*PLUS, but you need to be logged in as the APEX database user to run that one and it must be done (obviously) before you run the create application scripts.
    Hope That Helps,

  • Oracle 10gr2 XE. - Custom Install - Need Help Install Apex Package

    Hello Experts,
I built a CUSTOM install script for Orage 10gR2 XE with a different dbname. dbblock, ...
After a lot of issues (seed db, tns errors, no autostart db, ...) and solved by posts found here,
The new database is mounted and working in console mode and Ole DB/Odbc.
In the custom script, here are the two Data Dictionnaries packages I've used :
    -- Create Datas Dictionaries
    @%ORACLE_HOME%\rdbms\admin\catalog.sql ;
    @%ORACLE_HOME%\rdbms\admin\catproc.sql ;
I'm looking for the package name to install for using Apex (http://locahost:8080/apex) like initial instance XE.
I've tried installing package DBMSXDB.sql (connect / as SYDBA) ... but getting lot of errors
    Thanks for help,
    AlxK

But the instructions for installing Apex are in the Apex home page. Go to http://otn.oracle.com and drill to the Apex home page by going to Products:Development Tools (left edge) and finding Application Express on that resulting page.
If you are going to potentially violate your agreement or leave the system in an unreliable state, why not simply use the Enterprise Edition?

  • Is it possible to install previous TRIAL versions of previous versions of Adobe Creative Cloud Software?

Look, I'm just testing the trial versions right now.  Don't try to troubleshoot something that I don't ask; this is what I'm looking to accomplish:
Is it possible to install a trial version of any of the Adobe Creative Cloud software in a previous version?  By that, I am referring to the following:
I want to install a trial version of Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014; NOT Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014.1.  If you notice, I want to reinstall a trial version of the previous release.  Don't ask why, you'll just laugh for my stupid reason, but I'm merely wondering if it is possible.  Creative Cloud now only offers trials of the newest versions, and I want to install trails of previous versions for my own, personal reasons.  Is this possible to do with creative cloud, or must I do it some other way?
Is it also possible to obtain the physical installation files so that I won't have to always go through creative cloud to download them again (and then I can just set it up without being connected to the internet)?

The previous version option is only available to individuals which have a membership.  The availability of previous version titles available is dictated by the computer meeting the minimum system requirements and the entitlement of the membership to access the requested applications.  To future viewers of this discussion if you are unsure what software titles your membership is entitled to please contact our support team directly at Contact Customer Care.
Wastingyourlifeaway you can download the installers for the CC version of the applications from Download New Adobe CC Trials: Direct Links (no Assistant/Manager) | ProDesignTools.  Please make sure to complete the Very Important Instructions prior to scrolling down the page and clicking on the download link.
