Possible to show bottom of scrolling text first when icon is displayed?

Hi,
Does anyone know if it is possible to show the bottom of
scrolling text when the display comes up? For instance, let's say
you have 20 lines of text in a scrolling display, but it only has
room for 10. By default, Authorware shows the top 10 lines in the
scrolled display, not the bottom 10. I want to show the bottom
10--is this possible?

Hi,
Well, I decided to have the most current information at the
top of the display. For instance, if it were a chat, the most
current chat info would be on top instead of on bottom. That fixed
the problem adequately.

Thanks for the hints which led me to the right solution. I created a query to check if the trigger for the visibility was there or not, and this works. The script I have used is:

Infopath - Show All values in Text box From PeoplePicker control (Display Name)

I have One People Picker Control and one Text box.I set Value of Text box to "Display Name" and problem is that it show only First Value.so is there a way to show all values of "Display Name" in Text box ?

here is my solution :
1- Create one Picker control (i changed name of control to Member ) and one Text Box
2- Set Value of Text box to xdMath:Eval(xdMath:Eval(../my:Member/pc:Person, 'concat(pc:AccountId, ";")'), "..")
3- if you changed name's picker control just Replace "../my:Member/pc:Person" with name's People Picker control on your Form.

Raw text instead of icon is displayed on selection-screen

Hi,
in a module pool I've implemented a Selection-screen as a subscreen. The subscreen is placed on Tabstrip. Everything works well. Except display of icons. After entering a '*' in the low-field of a select-option there should appear an icon in front of the field. But there appears an open input-field with some text in it (e.q. "@28\QSelektieren: Muster einschl.@"). What is wrong? Is it a frontend-bug?

Horizontal RSS feed- is it possible to create an RSS feed (showing both pictures and text), that scrolls from left to right rather than top to bottom?

I am trying to create an RSS feed that will scroll from left to right rather than top to bottom as is standard in iWeb. Ideally, I would like to show both images and text. I am actually using iWeb '09. I am not opposed to writing html code if necessary.

First of all, there is no need to put the entire text of your post into the title of your thread.
Next, does your daughter have an iPhone? Do her friends have iPhones? If the answer to both questions is "yes", then it is possible she is not texting them, but using iMessage to communicate with them. iMessages will not show up in the texting traffic on a line as they are not texts, but messages sent thru Apple's servers.
For all "texts" to show up in the texting activity of an iPhone, you must disable iMessage on the device. Any messages sent as iMessages(blue bubbles around the text) on an iPhone will not show up in any texting activity.

Yes to receive an iMessage the recipient would need an iOS device (iPhone, iPod, iPad) and an internet connection. This is a messaging serviceprovided by Apple so the recipient does not need to check emails. If the contact does not have internet access at the time the iMessage is sent then a normal SMS through your carrier can be sent instead if you have "Send as SMS" turned on in Settings>Messages.

I suppose you don't want to use the default question slides but are creating custom question slides? Which version do you use? Since CP7 there is a Scrolling Text Interaction that you could use, compatible with both SWF and HTML output.

Fade scrolling text in and out at the bottom and the top

I'm new to Final Cut Pro X previously I have used Final Cut Express. Making the scrolling text fade out at the top of the page as it scrolls is easy in Final Cut Express. I've spent over 1 hr & cannot find how to make the scrolling text fade out in Final Cut Pro X, has anyone any ideas?.

Showing a top of page button when user scroll down

I need some help please, to show a top of page button when the user scroll down either with the vertical scroll bar or the center mouse button.
I could design and develop the actions for using the button.
But I am unable to trigger the showing when the user scroll down.

I apparently misunderstood your first post. Sorry. If you look at the code for the example you cited in your OP, you'll find:

I'd like to add a banner with text that moves from the right side of the page to the left. Its an announcement of a new location for a business. Is there a way to do this in Muse?

Hey everyone,
First off, I want to apologize for the confusion caused here, as there was a few things that went wrong in leading to this, and I'll try to clear things up.
The marquee tag is actually supposed to be a throwback and easter egg in Muse. Much like our secret snowman, this is meant to be little secret buried away for some extra fun and isn't intended for use on real Muse sites.
The marquee is an older tag in HTML, and is usually met with some chuckles from web developers. It came from a time when things like this, and it’s often cited sibling, blink, were wild new things you could make websites do. They came before many modern widgets and functionality and were a way to show off what the web might some day be. However, because of some issues with accessibility, usability, and performance, web developers have, for a while now, opted to not use this feature of HTML. In fact, HTML has never officially supported this feature. We do our best on the Muse team to make sure our code, your exported output, will always validate to the latest standards. But this tag is one case where our output would fail to validate. In this case, because this is a partially hidden extra, we looked the other way a little bit.
That said, just like our snow, we recommend you do not use it on live websites. The marquee has some inherent issues for accessibility, performance, and browser support. Many browser vendors aren’t sold on the usefulness of the marquee tag and may stop supporting it at some point in the future. Most support for the tag has remained because some very old sites (10-15+ years) used it in ways that were crucial for use of the site. It can also cause issues for users who are using screen reading technologies, or have poor vision, as the scrolling text can be hard to read. Also, because this does not validate to the standards, it is possible there is an impact on SEO (though we haven’t looked into this enough to say for sure).
The Muse engineering team did not do a good job in communicating this to our support staff, so they saw this and recommended it. And as you stumbled across these issues, they brought them to our attention and we realized our mistakes. Also, as something that will hurt your site's accessibility, performance, cross-browser compatability, and SEO, this is something we should have either clarified better, or handled differently. Because of this confusion, the marquee option has been removed in the next major version of Muse. We want to make sure to help your sites be as great as possible, and unfortunately we cannot do that with this option.
That isn't to say you cannot get this functionality in your site, you will just have to use other methods to do so. The best, and most forward looking method for this will be to use something like Edge Animate, where you can animate your text, and use File > Place to place the .oam packaged file in Muse. Edge Animate creates forward looking, modern animations using HTML5 and the latest standards, and can be used to create this or other more complex animations.
Hopefully that clears things up a little bit. And once again, sorry for the mix up,

I created a scrooling text box in Flash CS5 and created the swf, that works fine.
Importing into Indesign CS5 isnt as straight forward as I expected?
I get the SWF icon on the Indesign Page, but previewing or publishing only shows the SWF icon, no Scrolling Text box displays.
Im ust add that if I click on the SWF icon the Text box displays, but I want it to display by default?
Are there more steps I need to take?

Problem with Java scrolling text window on Mac OS

The Java scrolling text window created by AWT "TextArea" scrolls in the normal way from the top on Windows, whereas it scrolls from the bottom on the Mac OS. That is, the text file is first displayed from the bottom on Mac, so that the user has to scroll to the top of the file each time a new page is opened, which is a very nuisance. Have you run into this problem and do you know how to over-ride the Mac OS default? Many thanks.

TextAreas suck in general, this has been discussed many time in the forum. As a duct-tape fix, you might play around with setCaretPosition() after inserting your new text. Good luck

Scrolling text is jumpy/pulsing when compressed

I'm making end credits using the scroll up text animation behavior in Motion 2.1.2. Whenever I compress it for DVD Studio Pro and insert it the text looks terrible. It is pulsing in and out and is hardly readable. I found a few other people who have had this problem, but no solutions that have helped.
I have done credits using the scrolling text in Final Cut without much problem, but for this project I need motion in order to use text of different sizes.
Here are my specs:
Project Properties - NTSC DV; 720x480; Pixel Aspect Ratio: NTSC D1/DV - 0.90; Field Order: Lower First (Even); Frame Rate: 29.97; Background color is black (0%)
Render Settings - Motion Blur Samples: 8; Shutter Angle: 360; Output Antialiasing Method: Best
I used Export using Compressor: DVD Best Quality 90 minutes 4:3; I tried using the Color+Alpha and just Color in the Output options. Premultiply alpha and Use field render are both checked. Use motion blur is not checked.
Most of the text is Geneva Regular 14 pt font. I have tried completely white as well as setting the RGB sliders all at 235 with no difference. I also tried using a black outline with no difference. The scroll up behavior has a rate of 52.
Please help! It took me forever to put these credits together and I don't want to start from scratch with another program. Making the text bigger helps a little bit but I would really like to keep it the same size for timing and format sake. However, I can't keep it like this because it looks terrible both on an Apple Cinema display and on a tv after burned to DVD.

My first guess would be the font itself. Geneva is a pretty thin font and it's not likely to look good interlaced and on a TV. Can you try a thicker font?
I'd also turn off Field Rendering. It looked much worse with it on than off. Keep Frame Blending though.
