@PostConstruct method is not called in weblogic 12.1.2 server

Dear all,
Currently, i'm using jsf 2 application and it's deployed in weblogic 12.1.2 server.
The issue is : the @PostConstruct method is not called.
I tried to search and know that: this one is fixed by a patch of weblogic 12.1.1 server.
Patch 13703600: SU Patch [UXPH]: WLS12C - POSTCONSTRUCT NOT CALLED ON @MANAGEDBEAN BEANS IN JSF APP
Last Updated 29-Feb-2012 03:03 (1+ year ago)
Product Oracle WebLogic Server
Release WLS 12.1.1.0
So why does this happen again in weblogic 12.1.2 server? Or may i miss something?
Did someone have experience about this issue?
Thank you so much for your help.
Best regards.

Hi,
I can see that bug 13703600 is already got fixed in 12.1.2 but still you same problem please raise ticket with oracle support.

    I rewrote code for debugging purpose and tried to catch error using GetLastError();  method,

  • GET_V Method is not called for custom field

    Hi,
    We are using CRM 7.0
    I have enhanced component BT120H_CPL and added custom fields into view Details with AET. I am trying to implement search help which depends on another field. I have created V-GETTER for my field and tried to implement search help in this method. However, this method is not called in the program scope.
    I have debugged the application and result is :
    V_GETTER method GET_V_ZZAFLD00000D is created in class ZL_BT120H_C_DETAILS_CN00. It should be called from GET_V_S_EXT method but this method is called in class CL_BT120H_C_DETAILS_CN00 and exception occurs since GET_V_ZZAFLD00000D doesnu2019t exist in class CL_BT120H_C_DETAILS_CN00.
    I tried similar scenario : add search help to existing field of another component. However I couldnu2019t able to run GET_V method again.
    ( It works when I write search help id in the AET but in this way I cannot pass import parameter to it )
    Is there anything I am missing ? Thanks in advance for helps.
    Regards
    Abdul.

    Hi,
        Then, the next possible thing is checking the "enhancement set". Press F2 keeping the cursor on any field and check if the view is showing up as enhanced. Find this information under "Active Enhancement set" in the popup details. If this does not happen, then your enhanced view is not being used. You may want to check the COMPONENT_LOADING BADI if you are using more than one assignment set. You may also want to look at this WIKI.

  • Why tuxedo7.1 or Tuxedo6.5 can not call the service on Tuxedo8.0 server

    Why tuxedo7.1 or Tuxedo6.5 can not call the service on Tuxedo8.0 server.
    I wrote the Server Application with Tuxedo version 8.0.
    And used tuxedo71 WS client to call the service.
    The client application displayd tpinit fail.
    ULog told me "prv7.1 not allowed,use -t option on wsl".
    Is there any way to solve this problem?
    thanks!

    risen,
    Yes there is a way to solve this. As the error message suggests, use the -t
    option on your WSL server. Look at
    http://edocs.bea.com/tuxedo/tux80/atmi/secadm10.htm#1284650
    [ I know this documentation is astonishingly well hidden! ]

    Thanks in advance,

  • Custom toJSON() method is not called for each property

    I'm getting familiar with JSON in ActionScript 3 (FP 11), and experimenting with custom toJSON methods. The Developer's Guide section on Native JSON Support clearly states:
    JSON.stringify() calls toJSON(), if it exists, for each public property that it encounters during its traversal of an object. A property consists of a key-value pair. When stringify() calls toJSON(), it passes in the key, k, of the property that it is currently examining. A typical toJSON() implementation evaluates each property name and returns the desired encoding of its value.
    However, both the subsequent examples on the very same page and my own tests indicate that, on the contrary, toJSON() is only called once for the whole object, and no argument is passed for k. Take the following trivial class:
    public class JSONTest {
        public var firstProperty:int = 1;
        public var secondProperty:String = "Hello world";
        public function toJSON(k:String):* {
            trace("Calling toJSON on key", k);
            return this[k].toString();
    According to the documentation this should cause the following to print:
    Calling toJSON on key firstProperty
    Calling toJSON on key secondProperty
    And the output should basically be the same as without a custom toJSON method:
    { "firstProperty" : 1, "secondProperty" : "Hello world" }
    Instead, this just throws an error because nothing at all is passed as k.
    So, is the documentation wrong and the engine is not supposed to call toJSON for every property, or is the engine incorrectly only calling it once?

    I just figured out what the documentation means. k refers to the name of a property to which the entire instance being stringified is assigned, not to the names of the properties of the instance being stringified. An example is much clearer:
    var wrapper:Object = { prop1 : 1, prop2 : new JSONTest() };
    trace("Stringify result =", JSON.stringify(wrapper));
    Prints:
    k:String = prop2
    Stringify result = {"prop2":{"firstProperty":1,"secondProperty":"Hello world"},"prop1":1}
    So k is the name of the property on wrapper, not on the JSONTest instance. When stringify is called directly on an instance of JSONTest, k is empty because the JSONTest instance is not assigned as a property of another object, it is just all by itself. Either way the value returned by toJSON must be a string or object representing the stringified form of the entire instance.

    ...Hi. That old driver is telling you the truth. That JDBC 2.0 method is not implemented.
    There has been no development of that driver since soon after the JDBC 2.0 spec was
    finalized. We provide the weblogic.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver in the 8.1 server,
    and heartily recommend you switch to it. It's a much superior driver, and has the
    considerable benefit if being fully supported and updated. The old ms4 driver is
    strongly deprecated and won't exist in the next release of WebLogic.

  • P and V Getter not called for custom attributes!

    Hi,
    i implemented a new search structure instead of CRMST_QUERY_SLSORD_BTIL for business transaction search.
    I enhanced the new structure with a custom field and generated v and p-getter methods to have a dropdown listbox.
    Unfortunately the p and v getter are not called by the framework.
    The field in the context node is STRUCT./SEW/BILLINGBLOCK.
    I have no idea why this methods are not called by the framework.

    Jürgen

    For the advanced search you do not have to implement a V getter. Instead, you must
    redefine method GET_DQUERY_DEFINITIONS in the implementation class of the view
    controller.

  • Decode not called for all UIComponents in tree

    Many of the faces .jsp pages I have been working with in EA2 have not been updating their models properly.
    The symptom I have observed is that the decode method is not called for all of the UIComponents on the page.
    I think I have tracked this down to a bug in the class com.sun.faces.tree.TreeNavigatorImpl. This class appears to be used internally by some of the .jsf code to navigate the component tree.
    Studying various stack traces, it looks like the method TreeNavigatorImpl.getNextStart() is supposed to provide a preorder traversal of the component tree. Starting from the root of the tree, each call is expected to return the next node. Experimental evidence suggests that it is not doing that properly, and it fails to visit all the nodes in the tree.
    For example, if my component tree looks like this (this is a representation of the tree; not an example of a .jsp page):
    <node id = "/">
       <node id = "page">
          <node id = "carStoreForm">
             <node id = "ba0">
                 <node id = "ba1">
                     <node id = "ba3"/>
                     <node id = "br4"/>
                 </node>
             </node>
             <node id = "bold1"/>
             <node id = "more1"/>
          </node>
       </node>
    </node>A preorder traversal of these nodes should visit nodes:
    '/page'
    '/page/carStoreForm'
    '/page/carStoreForm/ba0'
    '/page/carStoreForm/ba0/ba1'
    '/page/carStoreForm/ba0/ba1/ba3'
    '/page/carStoreForm/ba0/ba1/br4'
    '/page/carStoreForm/bold1'
    '/page/carStoreForm/more1'
    However, when I write test code that calls TreeNavigatorImpl.getNextStart() directly, only the following nodes are returned:
    '/page'
    '/page/carStoreForm'
    '/page/carStoreForm/ba0'
    '/page/carStoreForm/ba0/ba1'
    '/page/carStoreForm/ba0/ba1/ba3'
    '/page/carStoreForm/ba0/ba1/br4'
    It looks to me like the method loses track of the state of the traversal, and prematurely returns null before all the nodes are visited. (It is failing to return the "bold1" and "more1" nodes.)
    This is all extremely speculative. Without jsf source or doc for any of the tree classes, it is difficult to know what is supposed to be going on. And, of course, I may just have a bug in my code.

    Okay, rather than wait for Max to respond, I decompiled the TreeNavigatorImpl class myself and studied the source code. The
    problem arises in the getNextStart() method. If the method returns
    a null value, then presumably the class has successfully traversed
    the entire tree in preorder. Unfortunately, there was a slight
    logic error that would halt traversal after you got to the last node
    of the last subtree at the beginning of your travels.
    The following code should correct this situation (let me know if I've
    introduced any new problems into the mix...). I tested this out using the simple example that Max describes above. The test code appears at the end of my revised method:
    public UIComponent getNextStart() {
    UIComponent cur = null;
    if (startTraversalDone) {
    return cur;
    if (startStack.empty()) {
    cur = root;
    Iterator iter = cur.getChildren();
    if (iter.hasNext()) {
    startStack.push(iter);
    else {
    while (!startStack.empty()) {
         Iterator iter = (Iterator) startStack.peek();
         if (iter != null && iter.hasNext()) {
         cur = (UIComponent) iter.next();
         Iterator childIter = cur.getChildren();
         if (childIter != null && childIter.hasNext()) {
         startStack.push(childIter);
         else {
         if (!iter.hasNext()) {
         startStack.pop();
         break;
    else {
         startStack.pop();
    if (startStack.empty()) {
    startTraversalDone = true;
    if (cur != null) {
    endStack.push(cur);
    return cur;

              MyComp ba1 = new MyComp("ba1");

              ba1.addChild(new MyComp("ba3"));
              ba1.addChild(new MyComp("ba4"));
              MyTreeNavigator nav = new MyTreeNavigator(root);
              MyComp comp = null;
              while ((comp = (MyComp) nav.getNextStart()) != null) {
                   System.out.println(comp.getComponentId());

  • DoFilter() method is being called only at the second request

    Hi,
    I have implemented a simple Filter class
    Here is the code
    public class BasicFilter implements Filter
    FilterConfig config;
    public void init(FilterConfig config)
    System.out.println("Filter Initialised");
    this.config = config;
    public void doFilter(ServletRequest request,ServletResponse response,FilterChain chain) throws ServletException,
    IOException
    System.out.println("In The doFilter() method");
    ServletContext sc = config.getServletContext();
    sc.setAttribute("Hello","Hell");
    chain.doFilter(request,response);
    public void destroy()
    System.out.println("In the destroy method");
    and a simple servlet
    public class FilteredServlet extends HttpServlet
    public void doGet(HttpServletRequest request,HttpServletResponse response) throws ServletException,IOException
    response.setContentType("text/html");
    PrintWriter out = response.getWriter();
    out.println("<HTML>");
    out.println("<HEAD><TITLE>Filter Demo</TITLE></HEAD>");
    out.println("<BODY>");
    out.println(getServletContext().getAttribute("Hello"));
    out.println("</BODY>");
    out.println("</HTML>");
    Now when i start the server (Tomcat 4.0) i find that the filter's init() method is being called which is fine. But when i request the servlet (FilteredServlet) the doFilter() method is not called and only when i "refresh" it or call it a second time that the doFilter() method is actually called. What could be the reason for this.
    Help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thank You,
    Phani Kanuri

    Hi jleech,
    Thanks for the reply. But deleting all the temporary internet files as also the history files does not seem to have an effect. the doFilter is being called only at the second request. or did i miss anything??
    Please help. unable to complete the assignment because of this.
    Thank You,

  • FillClaimsForEntity not called in my custom claim provider

    Hi,
    I have created a custom claim provider in SharePoint 2013 in order to augment claims with some custom values. It's mostly boilerplate code - nothing special. After deploying and enabling a corresponding farm feature I noticed that the FillClaimsForEntity
    method is not called at all. Moreover, other two methods required for augmentation (FillClaimValueTypes and FillClaimTypes) are called only once - when the feature is activated. From my understanding all three methods should be called every time a user logs
    in to SharePoint. I'm using integrated Windows authentication with NTLM.
    This is abbreviated code showing only important parts:
    public class MyClaimProvider : SPClaimProvider
    protected const string MyClaimType = "http://www.mywebsite.ca/identity/claims/parrot";
    protected const string StringTypeClaim = "http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#string";
    protected override void FillClaimTypes(List<string> claimTypes)
    if (claimTypes == null)
    throw new ArgumentNullException("claimTypes");
    // add our claim types
    claimTypes.Add(MyClaimType);
    protected override void FillClaimValueTypes(List<string> claimValueTypes)
    if (claimValueTypes == null)
    throw new ArgumentNullException("claimValueTypes");
    // add our claim value type
    claimValueTypes.Add(StringTypeClaim);
    protected override void FillClaimsForEntity(Uri context, SPClaim entity, List<SPClaim> claims)
    if (entity == null)
    throw new ArgumentNullException("entity");
    if (claims == null)
    throw new ArgumentNullException("claims");
    claims.Add(CreateClaim(MyClaimType, "kakadu", StringTypeClaim));
    public override bool SupportsEntityInformation
    get { return true; }
    // ... the rest of code goes here
    and this is my feature code:
    public class MyClaimProviderRegistrationEventReceiver : SPClaimProviderFeatureReceiver
    public override string ClaimProviderAssembly
    get { return this.GetType().Assembly.FullName; }
    public override string ClaimProviderType
    get { return typeof(MyClaimProvider).FullName; }
    public override string ClaimProviderDisplayName

    public override string ClaimProviderDescription
    get { return "MyClaimProvider desc"; }
    public override void FeatureActivated(Microsoft.SharePoint.SPFeatureReceiverProperties properties)

  • Button action is not calling

    Hi,
    I am new to JSF.
    Here is my problem.
    I have a select one menu and command button on a page
    When ever the page loads for the first time the select one menu is loaded with the data and the button should be disabled.
    When an item is selected from the menu the button should be enabled.
    Upto this part I finished.
    Now the problem is with button.When I click the button the corresponding action method is not calling.
    If the button is enabled during page load then the action method is calling when ever I click the button.
    But I need to make the button disabled until I select an item from the
    select one menu.In this case the action method is not calling when I click the button.
    Please help me.
    Thanks in advance

    Thanks for fast response.
    Here is my jsp code:
    <script>
         function enableLoad(){
         if(document.getElementById("form1:menu1").selectedIndex==0){
         document.getElementById("form1:loadTable").value = 'true';
         else{
         document.getElementById("form1:loadTable").value = 'false';
         document.getElementById("form1").submit();
         </script>
              <h:form styleClass="form" id="form1">
              <TABLE class="tableBorder" cellspacing="10" cellpadding="10">
              <TR>
              <TD width="230" align="right">
              <SPAN class="outputtext">Select The Table To Manage:</SPAN>
              </TD>
              <TD>
              <h:selectOneMenu styleClass="selectOneMenu" id="menu1" value="#{manageReferenceTablesMB.tableValue}"
    onchange="enableLoad()">
                                  <f:selectItems value="#{manageReferenceTablesMB.tableNames}" />
                        </h:selectOneMenu>
              </TD>
              </TR>
              <TR>
              <h:inputHidden id="loadTable" value="#{manageReferenceTablesMB.loadTable}"/>
              <TD colspan="2" align="right">
              <hx:commandExButton type="submit" value="Load Table"
                                  styleClass="commandExButton" id="button1" disabled="#{manageReferenceTablesMB.loadTable}"
                                  action="#{manageReferenceTablesMB.refTable}"></hx:commandExButton>
              </TD>
              </TR>
              </TABLE>
              </h:form>
    This is the backing bean code:
    public class ManageReferenceTablesMB extends BaseMB{
         public SelectItem[] tableNames;
         public String tableValue = "-1";
    public boolean loadTable ;
         public ManageReferenceTablesMB(){
              super(SessionConstants.MANAGE_REFERENCE_TABLES);
              if (this.getFromPageDataBuffer(SessionConstants.MANAGE_REFERENCE_TABLES) == null){
              System.out.println("in constructor");
              Hashtable results = new Hashtable();
              SwqmisFrontController controller = this.getFrontController();
              results = controller.getRefTableNames();
              tableNames = buildMenu((Vector) results.get("REF_TABLE_NAMES"));
              System.out.println("added data");
              System.out.println("........."+tableValue+"..........");
              this.addToPageDataBuffer(SessionConstants.MANAGE_REFERENCE_TABLES,this);
              }else{
                   this.tableNames = ((ManageReferenceTablesMB)this.getFromPageDataBuffer(SessionConstants.MANAGE_REFERENCE_TABLES)).tableNames;
                   this.tableValue = ((ManageReferenceTablesMB)this.getFromPageDataBuffer(SessionConstants.MANAGE_REFERENCE_TABLES)).tableValue;
                   this.loadTable = ((ManageReferenceTablesMB)this.getFromPageDataBuffer(SessionConstants.MANAGE_REFERENCE_TABLES)).loadTable;
         public String refTable(){
              System.out.println("IN REF TABLE");
              System.out.println("....."+tableValue+".......");
              Hashtable results = new Hashtable();
              SwqmisFrontController controller = this.getFrontController();
              results = controller.getRefTable(getDisplayText(tableNames,tableValue));
              if(results!=null && results.size()>1)
              System.out.println("success");
              else
              System.out.println("failure");
              return "success";
         * @return Returns the tableNames.
         public SelectItem[] getTableNames() {
              return tableNames;
         * @param tableNames The tableNames to set.
         public void setTableNames(SelectItem[] tableNames) {
              this.tableNames = tableNames;
         * @return Returns the tableValue.
         public String getTableValue() {
              return tableValue;
         * @param tableValue The tableValue to set.
         public void setTableValue(String tableValue) {
              this.tableValue = tableValue;
         * @return Returns the loadTable.
         public boolean isLoadTable() {
              return loadTable;
         * @param loadTable The loadTable to set.
         public void setLoadTable(boolean loadTable) {
              this.loadTable = loadTable;
    In the above backing bean code the loadTable value is false.
    So under this condition the action method is calling.B'cause the button is in enable state even there is no section in the menu.
    If I make loadTable=true then the action button is in disabled state until the menu item is selected. But the action method is not executing in this case.
    Thanks.

  • ActionMethod in CommandLink is not called whenadding Components dynamically

    I want to create a customTable component in which paginator will be a sub tag.
    <custom:customTable value="#{testBean.data}" var="current1">
    <t:panelGrid binding="#{tableBean.paginator}"></t:panelGrid>
    <t:column>
              <h:outputText value="#{current1.name}"/>
    </t:column>
    <t:column>
              <h:outputText value="#{current1.id}"/>
    </t:column>
    </custom:customTable>
    In the encode method of custom renderer ,I am writing logic to render the paginator child component.
    In encode:
    List children = getChildren(uiComponent);
              for (int j = 0, size = getChildCount(uiComponent); j < size; j++) {
                   UIComponent child = (UIComponent) children.get(j);
                   if (child.isRendered()) {
                        boolean columnRendering = child instanceof HtmlPanelGrid;
                   if(columnRendering){
                        RendererUtils.renderChild(facesContext, child);
    In <t:panelGrid binding="#{tableBean.paginator}"></t:panelGrid> ,getPaginator returns a PanelGrid which has dynamically created CommandLinks.CommandLink has action bind to a method in the managed bean.
    HtmlCommandLink htCommLink = (HtmlCommandLink) jsfUtil
                             .createComponent(HtmlCommandLink.COMPONENT_TYPE);
                   htCommLink.getAttributes().put(IISWebConstants.VALUE_ATTRIBUTE,
                             "A");
                   htCommLink.setAction(jsfUtil.createMethodBinding("#{tableBean.createData}"));
                   htCommLink.getAttributes()
                             .put(IISWebConstants.ON_CLICK, "submit()");
                        htCommLink.getAttributes().put(IISWebConstants.RENDERED,
                                  Boolean.TRUE);
                        htCommLink.getAttributes().put(IISWebConstants.STYLE_CLASS,
                                  "link");
    //hpg PanelGrid instance                                   hpg.getChildren().add(htCommLink);
    Problem:Paginator is rendering,Table is rendering but if I click on the commandLink ,action method is not calling.Can any body tell me how to resolve this issue

    i have found the reason!
    after click on this command link, a listener from a SelectOneMenu tag was invoked first. very interesting, but read further to know why!
    i didn't change anything in this input tag, but the problem is that the SelectOneMenu value was initalized with an empty string, but it's first SelectItem was initalized with SelectItem("x", ""). So there was an old value "" and a new value "x" and therefore it was invoked before the action method. this took me some hours to find that out.
    in this listener i made something like this at the end:
           UIViewRoot view = context.getApplication().getViewHandler().createView(context, viewPath);
           view.setViewId(viewPath);
           context.setViewRoot(view);
           context.renderResponse();so it's clear, why it didn't execute the action method.
    so as a global rule, check all your listeners (breakpoints!) when you have a similar problem!

    I traced my program, the action form has all the pending values entered in the jsp page but the View Row isn't updated?
    extract of pending values:
    06/07/09 12:05:47 com.photoswing.webview.actions.AccountRegisterAction.processUpdateModel actionForm, key: Email, value: [email protected]
    06/07/09 12:05:47 com.photoswing.webview.actions.AccountRegisterAction.processUpdateModel actionForm, key: FirstNameLatin, value: aaaxxx
    For your info:
    Service update 4 was installed.
    The navigation event to the review page is not a commit action.
    My trace shows that:
    -my prepareToCreateNewAccount is called when the jsp is first accessed (no event handling)
    - after activating next button:
    - no new call to prepareToCreateNewAccount => ok
    - processUpdateModel is called
    - the ActionForm gets filled => ok
    - validateModelUpdates is called
    but VO row (based on one Entity) and Entity set and validation methods are not called?
    My page def has only one iterator?
    Question when and where does the framework copy ActionForm values to underlying VO?
    I noticed that there were new ActionForm classes:
    oracle.adf.controller.v2.struts.forms.BindingContainerActionForm
    Do they work with
    <set-property property="v1ActionClass"
    value="com.photoswing.webview.actions.AccountRegisterAction"/>
    I need a clue!
    I'm lost!

  • JApplet's stop() not called

    Hi All,
    My JApplet's stop() method is not called from IE, Chrome or Safari when I switch tabs, but is called along with the destroy() method when I close the tab that includes the applet.
    Could you please let me know why this behavior occurs? In the tutorials, it is mentioned that stop() will be called to release resources when the user is not viewing the applet (hence when he/she switches tabs) and I need it for the applet.
    Any links or workarounds are very welcome. Thank you.
    Kind Regards,
    S. Gokhan Topcu

    In the tutorials, it is mentioned that stop() will be called to release resources when the user is not viewing the applet (hence when he/she switches tabs) and I need it for the applet.No, that isn't mentioned at all.
    What it actually says is this: 'When the user leaves the page, for example, to go to another page, the browser stops and destroys the applet.'
    That's not the same thing as 'when the user is not viewing the applet', by a long shot.
    In the Javadoc for stop() it says 'It is called when the Web page that contains this applet has been replaced by another page, [my emphasis] and also just before the applet is to be destroyed.'
