PostEvent to create OIM Roles based on AD groups

Hi,
we want to create a similar roles in OIM based on groups in AD.
What would be the best way to create roles in OIM using the AD group recon or any other way using the group defination in AD.I’m looking for some guidance in doing this ! either using post-process event or any other method ?
Thanks Richard

othe option is Scheduled task.
1. use OOTB AD group loolup recon and reconcile all the AD groups in lookup.
2. write a scheduled task using OIM API to create group/role in OIM
a. get the lookup data into map
b. loop through each record of the map
c. use oim api to create group
if(isGroupExists()
group all ready exists
else
createGroup

  • To enable filtering the Purchase Orders based on Purchasing Group in Issue

    Hi All,
    We are facing one issue
Currently we are working with Extended Classic Scenario with SRM 5.0 and support pack 11
If the buyer uses Issue PO transaction in SRM, there are POs from all the buyers.
There is no filter to allow the buyer to display only POs relevant for his/her Purchasing group.
To enable filtering the Purchase Orders based on Purchasing Group in Issue Purchase Order transction, we found one
OSS note : 1162884 - BBP_PPF: Purchasing group as search criteria for PO
But we found that this oss note is not applicable for our system version
Could you please help me to resolve this issue by any suggestion or by any other oss note?
    Thanks
    Snehal

    Hi Snehal,
There is a easy way to do that.
Go to buyer role in PFCG transaction and look for profile and go inside profile ...look for your transaction...
for Process PO  transaction -  BBP_PD_PO and you have field BBP_PURGRP...using which you can restrict it on purchasing group..
You may have to copy same role and create new roles based on purchasing group..
I feel that basis or Security and Authorization team can help you in this matter.

  • Authorization maintenance - Create Collective Roles

    Hello.
    Two questions:
1- I would like to know if it's possible to create a collective role based on four other normal roles. Then create a normal role using the option copy role through transaction PFCG, based on the collective role?
2- Is the creation of the collective role trustworthy and a recommended procedure by SAP when the four normal roles are considered complex (having many objects and transactions)?
When creating the collective role will there be object or transaction loss?
    Thanks!

    Hello Bruno,
    Here are the answers:
1- I would like to know if it's possible to create a collective role based on four other normal roles. Then create a normal role using the option copy role through transaction PFCG, based on the collective role?
Yes it is possible to create collective role based on four other normal roles. However you can not create a normal role as a copy of collective role. A collective role can be copied into a collective role. However if I understand correctly then what want is that the authorizations present in 4 normal roles should get merged into one single role. If that is case then do the following.
Create a normal role, Go to change mode and then to menu. If you want to copy role menus of 4 normal roles then please use the option copy role menu from other roles. Even if you don't copy role menu the next step remains the same. Go to authorizations tab. Here goto menu bar: EditInsert AuthorizationsFrom profile. Now supply the profiles of the 4 normal roles one by one. You might find a lot of entires in red since organization level has to be maintained. You need to do that manually. Once done generate the role.
2  Is the creation of the collective role trustworthy and a recommended procedure by SAP when the four normal roles are considered complex (having many objects and transactions)?
When creating the collective role will there be object or transaction loss?
Yes it is trustworthy. No data loss occurs.

  • Role-based view commands missing from config

    Hi All,
I set up a 2960G with IOS 12.2(44)SE6 and created a role-based view to be used by our helpdesk.  One of the things they need to do is add rules to a MAC ACL on the switch.  I've successfully created a view for them and can include and exclude most commands, however, when I try to include the "commands mac-enacle include all permit" command, I get no syntax error, and there is no line in my configuration reflecting the change. As it stands, from the helpdesk view (named smco) I can get into mac acl configuration mode, but I can't issue any of the sub commands.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  I tried upgraded to 12.2(55)SE and had the same result.
The current configuration for the parser view is as follows:
    parser view smco
    secret 5 hashed_pw
commands configure include mac access-list extended
commands configure include all mac access-list
    commands configure include mac
    commands exec include configure terminal
    commands exec include configure

After I issue the command "commands mac-enacl include all permit" there is no line in my startup or running configuration that says: "commands mac-enacl include all permit" or anything that closely resembles that.
I've tested with multiple local accounts.  After authenticating, I issue the "enable view smco".

  • OIM 11.1.1.5 provisioning role based objectclasses and attributes

TL;DR You can't provision some attributes in our LDAP directory without the objectclass and I can't figure out the best way to inject the dynamic objectclasses into the create user process without the user being created already.
    Some background:
I have configured our oim 11.1.1.5 instance and LDAP connector to provision ODSEE.  At another's recommendation, I put all possible LDAP attributes in a single form regardless of which objectclass was needed for them.  In ODSEE, sets of attributes are allowed through objectclasses for each 'Role'.  ie. Student, Employee, Guest, etc objectclasses.  I have all of the roles identified in OIM and can map them to an objectclass in LDAP
My question is, how can I provision role based objectclasses along with the common ones that are configured in the lookup so that when the associated attributes are provisioned, I don't get objectclass violations?
Can I append objectclasses to the list stored in the Configuration lookup in ldapUserObjectClass?
Should I create a child form containing the objectclasses and try to provision them?
Can/should I create a child form for each set of attributes by role?  Common attribs in the LDAP_USR form and role based attribs in UD_LDAP_STU, UD_LDAP_EMP, UD_LDAP_GST, etc.  Would prepop and the rest of the main form functions work the same?
Anything else I'm not thinking of? I am still a novice with some of these topics and may be way off base.
Any help will be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance

It is definitely doable if you use a custom LDAP connection implementation and just add objectclass update calls as needed as precursor tasks for the Update tasks.
Here is a small LDAP demo tool that you can adapt to do the update: http://iamreflections.blogspot.com/2010/08/manage-ad-with-jndi-demo-tool.html
There may be a smarter and more out of the box way to do it but this will work.

  • How to create context sensitive help and call the role based help from my Java Project?

    Hello All,
I am new to Robo Help. I have created a Robo help for my Java Web Applicaion. My application is role base i.e some user's will not see some of the pages of the application. So I want to hide those pages in Robo help as well. I tried creating multiple TOC for different Roles.
    My Question is
How to call robo Help from my application?(I will be calling using java script. If it is with RoboHelp_CSH.js where can I get that and How to implement it in my project)
How to implement role based help?
    Thanks,
    Siva.

I answered that. My point in asking whether it matters was that if it does, then you cannot use content categories and point different users to different categories and not allow them to see the others.
The alternative, as I said, would be to produce different outputs for each role.
As it does matter, then using webhelp you will have to use your RoboHelp project to produce a number of outputs, one for each category. Your app would install each webhelp into different folders and when your app determines the user role, you will link to the appropriate help.
There is another thread running where it has been explained by Willam van Weelden that you can achieve what you want using browser based AIR help. If that form of help can be considered, then the thread is at http://forums.adobe.com/message/4914753?tstart=0#4914753
Browser based AIR help must be run from a web server. It cannot be installed locally.

  • Is it possible to create a custom role based on SELECT_CATALOG_ROLE?

I have a scenario where one user needs to see the DDL of another user:
    HR schema:
CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE "HR"."CONTACT" IS OBJECT (
    HOME VARCHAR2(40),
    BUSINESS VARCHAR2(40)
    SCOTT schema:
CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE "SCOTT"."EMPLOYEE_CONTACT" IS OBJECT (
    EMP_NUMBER NUMERIC,
    EMP_NAME VARCHAR2(50),
    HOME HR.CONTACT,
    WORK HR.CONTACT
When logged in as SCOTT, I can execute the following to get the DDL for EMPLOYEE_CONTACT:
    SELECT DBMS_METADATA.GET_DDL('TYPE','EMPLOYEE_CONTACT') FROM DUAL;
but when I try to analyze it further, i.e. get the DDL for HR.CONTACT:
    SELECT DBMS_METADATA.GET_DDL('TYPE','CONTACT', 'HR) FROM DUAL;
    I get the following error:
13:11:59 [SELECT - 0 row(s), 0.000 secs] [Error Code: 31603, SQL State: 99999] ORA-31603: object "CONTACT" of type TYPE not found in schema "HR"

    ... 1 statement(s) executed, 0 row(s) affected, exec/fetch time: 0.000/0.000 sec [0 successful, 0 warnings, 1 errors]
If I grant the SELECT_CATALOG_ROLE to SCOTT, then I can get the DDL details for HR.CONTACT.
I am reluctant to recommend to my users SELECT_CATALOG_ROLE (or SELECT ANY DICTIONARY) as these permissions seem overly broad.
Is it possible to create a role that is based on SELECT_CATALOG_ROLE but limits SCOTT's ablity to get DDL to only artifacts from HR?

    Hi Yes,
But this means you have to rebuild your list in content columns and a as a content Type.

  • Pre-populate adapters behaviour during role based provisioning

    Hi all,
I have a question about pre-populate adapters behaviour during role based provisioning.
I'll sortly describe our architecture: we have OIM 11.1.1.3, Active Direcotry connector and obviously Active Directory as target system.
Our scenario is: assigning a role to a user , OIM should provision two account for this user to the same target system but in two different organizational unit (Active Directory).
Here some sample information to better understand our request:
    - OIM User userID: userid1
    - Active Directory IT Resource: ADServer1
    - Active Directory Organizational Units: OU1 and OU2
    - Role: Example Role
    - UserID of the account provisioned in OU1: admin.userid1 (in this organizational unit the UserID is composted by a prefix "admin." and the OIM User UserID "user1")
    - UserID of the account provisioned in OU2: user.userid1 (in this organizational unit the UserID is composted by a prefix "user." and the OIM User UserID "user1")
To achieve this goal, we have created two access policies AP1 and AP2. The first access policy provision the user account in OU1; while the second one in OU2.
Here some access policies form details:
    ### AP1 ###
    - AD Server: ADServer1
    - Organization Name: OU1
    (other fields are empty)
    ### AP2 ###
    - AD Server: ADServer1
    - Organization Name: OU2
    (other fields are empty)
Our idea was to develope two pre-populate adapter: one to compose the userID with "admin." prefix and the other one to compose userID with "user." prefix. However this solution cannot work because obviously you can link only one pre-populate adapter to a resource form field.
Any suggestion to avoid to create a second resource form?
    Thank in advise,
    Daniele

    Hi,
probably your confusion is caused by my english....anyway....
I'm trying to generate two userids and in our scenario it's simple map the organizational units. For example userids in organizational units OU1 have "admin." prefix; while organizational units OU2 have "user." prefix.
Do you suggest to create a pre-populate adapter that use a lookup to set the correct prefix based on organizational unit name?
    Thank you
    Daniele

  • Creating a role for t.code FBL1N

    Hi All,
Creating a role (PFCG), I've to assign the t.code FBL1N only.
In this role and for the t.code FBL1N, I've to exclude a certain Vendor Account Group.
    Could anyone help me?
    Thanks

    Hi ,
For the task that you want to perform .
First of all have a basic idea of how the authorization objects pertaining to a T code are checked , go to T code SU24 and give the input transaction as FBL1N and execute . there you will find the list of all the authorization objects that would be available for FBL1N.
go through their documentation and understand the behaviour .
Secondly , in case of FBL1n you cannot restrict based on account group at the granual level you can control on document type authorization group F_BKPF_BLA .
For creating a role Go to t code PFCG create a role assing the t code , provide the auhtorization values , generate the role and assign the role to the user ID that you want to assign it to .
    Hope this helps .
    Regards ,
    Dewang T .

I've searched through the OTN and Internet but did not found any solution.
    Please help me.
    Any advises will be appreciated.

I've tried to run RCU 11.1.1.3.3 on Ubuntu 32-bit and OIM schema creation failed again but with another error RCU-1636 Failed to start PL/SQL engine.
After that I found RCU 11.1.1.4, downladed it and this version created all schemas successfully.
Hope all other components will be ok with new version of RCU

  • Problem Creating OIM User During Provisioning

I have customized a .jar file which will allow me to create a user with the user login based on the first and last name of the user (this item is not stored on the user form until provisioning is initiated). My process definitions are ordered:
    1) Create Custom User Login (Store in UDF).
    2) Provision User to Database
    3) Create OIM user.
The process works via direct provisioning. However, during a request based provision, I receive the following errors:

    Here is my dataset:
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?>
    <request-data-set xmlns="http://www.oracle.com/schema/oim/request" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.oracle.com/schema/oim/request" name="ProvisionResourceOracle DB User" entity="Oracle DB User" operation="PROVISION">
    <AttributeReference itresource-type="DBUM ITResource definition" available-in-bulk="true" required="true" length="20" widget="itresource-lookup" type="Long" attr-ref="Custom Servers" name="Custom Servers"/>
    </request-data-set>
I am using the default ProvisionResourceRequest.xml
What do I need to do to make it so that my .jar will work during request-based provisioning?

FYI I found a solution - change context to ADMIN using Contextmanager in the code.

  • Create another BP based on an existing BP

    Hi Gurus
For CRM 2007 I want to create a BP based on a the details of a BP selected by a user.
How would this be done? I haven't found any useful threads on this subject.
    Thanks
    Panduranga

    Hi Panduranga,
Stephen is very right about this - there is no way to copy a business partner.
However, we have tried in the past to develop this functionality - and also the functionality to change the category after copying. This is some info that will help you while creating a copy program -
    1. The easiest way is to use APIs. Start by calling BUPA_CENTRAL_GET_DETAIL usign the BP number. THis will give you all the central data for the BP - e.g. name, etc. Now, merely feed the output of this module into the module BUPA_CREATE_FROM_DATA. This will create a new BP with the same data of the old BP.
    2. Now that the main BP is ready, you need to start copying the individual datasets - addresses, bank details, roles, Id, industry, etc. This is tricky - the ADD apis - BUPA_ADDRESS_ADD, BUPA_ROLE_ADD, etc can only create one record in a call. So, you need to first get the data of the reference BP using the GET_DETAIL api e.g. : BUPA_ADDRESS_GET_DETAIL, then loop at each returned record, and pass that into the correspinding ADD BAPI.
    3. Be sure to call BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT at the end to commit the data to the DB.
    I hope this helps you.
    Cheers,
    Rishu.

  • CRM 7.0 How to create Business role & generate

    Hi Team,
Can you please let me know some breif idea about CRM 7.0 security guide.
How to created Business role is this part of functional activity?
Whats the role of Technical colleagues BASIS guys in CRM 7.0 security .
Please help me to get some document regarding business role creation , generation , assignment & authorization checks in CRM 7.0.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Vyash Mishra

    Hello Viyash
I will add the most important information for generation of business roles and assignment of authorizations to users.
You must first create the PFCG roles. PFCG role is built based on the Business Role.
Please see documentation in : SPRO
SAP Implementation Guide =>  Customer Relationship Management
UI Framework  > Business roles > Define Authorization Role
Then the PFCG role can be assigned to the business role in
SAP Implementation Guide =>  Customer Relationship Management
UI Framework  > Business roles > Define Business role
Finally you must assign business roles to Organizations or positions in organizations in
SAP Implementation Guide =>  Customer Relationship Management
UI Framework  > Business roles > Define Organizational Assignment
The users that are assigned to such organizations / positions will be therefore linked to the business role.
With the previous steps the users will have the authorizations that are assigned to the PFCG profile that is linked to their business role.
Business roles are the main way to configure authorizations for users in CRM but you have more options that give you flexibility. Each business role has assigned one PFCG role, but the relationship between business role and PFCG role is not strict. You can even assign a dummy PFCG role to a certain business role in business role customizing and then go to transaction PFCG and assign other PFCG role(s) to the users that are assigned to that business role.
I would say that the previous tasks must be performed by the basis team but in cooperation with the functional team
    Best Regards
